On Monday December 6th I found over $60 worth of stuff to bring home with me from Goodwill on the White Horse Pike in Hammonton NJ. I went to the register and checked out. The person working at the register said that the receipt was printing so I could not leave because the sale might not of went through. I waited a little bit for the register to "unfreeze" and checked my credit card app. It said that I was charged for the purchase. I tried telling the person at the register that it went through and she said it could be wrong. She called up to the office and the person she was talking to said it did not clear and to charge me again. We rang up the purchase and I left. Less than a week later I got a fraud alert from Capital One telling me I was charged the same amount twice. I called the store and spoke to a manager who said I had to go through corporate. I called corporate and talked to someone who put me thought to someone else (who was supposedly the only person who could handle this) and I wound up on voicemail. I left a voicemail and have left one every day since and have not received a return call. After doing my due diligence, I am now filing a charge with the credit card company.
Desired outcome: I just wanted to resolve this without going through the CC company.
