I have saved for years for my “dream kitchen”. Keep in mind my dream kitchen is very small, eleven cabinets and two countertops, how could anything go wrong? I do not have a lot of money but I wanted what I wanted. I chose Lowes after meeting Samual Naranjo a salesman in the kitchen department of the Lowes in Medford. Sam assured me Lowes could deliver and install the kitchen I wanted within a reasonable amount of time and within my budget. Sam promised me the world. I was charged up front and paid willingly. That was February 1, 2011. I did change two minor things, one base cabinet and the color of the counter top. I went to the store the very next day, the paperwork I signed stated I only had a specified amount of time to change my mind. I had a feeling things were not going to go well when I went to the store the next day and was told the only person who could make changes was my salesman Sam. After three attempts in three days to speak to Sam at the store I finally had to make an appointment with Sam. From there everything went downhill. The moldings( Sam suggested these would be the perfect moldings ) were wrong, delays in ordering the new molding, additional money ( lots ) for the new moldings, the sink was wrong, it was supposed to be included with the purchase of a specified amount of linear feet of counter top, the cabinet installers had to make two trips, the countertop installer could not understand what a "D" shape sink was, witnessed by the carpenter who was here trying to finish the molding as the counter was being templeted. I tried to reach the District Manager he was either busy or in a meeting and never returned my phone calls.
Yesterday April 21, 2011 was the last straw. The counter top arrived and it was wrong, wrong sink shape in the wrong place. I cannot even begin to explain how mad, frustrated and disappointed I was. I got my money back for counter top.
I was offered $250 to accept the counter the way it was, I paid $2108.70. Two Hundred and fifty dollars does not even begin to make up for the time lost from work, the inconvenience of doing dishes in my bathtub, the $300 I could throw in the garbage for the faucet I purchased that would not look right. Two hundred and fifty dollars was an insult.
I realized this morning the fact that the District Manager never even attempted to return my calls says volumes about Lowes “Installation Team”. I should have realized then that Lowes got their money screw the customer.
I will never shop at a Lowes again and I will tell everyone I know not to shop at Lowes. I know this means nothing to lowes and their “Team” since Lowes is such a big company clearly they do not care. The internet is a useful tool and I will certainly make use of it to tell the world not to even consider shopping at Lowes.

Hate that for you K but why buy something so important from Lowes? Or any big box for that matter. I mean really there are locally owned Kitchen and Bath Remodelers in virtually every city. Was Lowes refered to you? Kitchen and Bath remodels are so personal. My clients call me for any little thing and they have my cell. Buy from locally owned businesses people. This is whgat happens when you dont!
