We purchased paint from Lowe's and were given the information about a rebate. We purchased paint on 7/1/23 and again on 7/2/23. I sent two (2) original receipts to the Lowe's rebate center on 7/3/23. Note that I followed directions to a T and sent the receipts in separate envelopes to minimize confusion. I kept copies of those receipts.
The total was $214.90.
On 11/3/23, after waiting months for the rebate, I went into the Lowe's Rebate center online and attempted to search my rebate. Nothing came up with either my phone or home address.
I called the rebate center help line and the woman on the line was incredibly rude. She first told me that they didn't have the receipts in the system and that I wouldn't be getting the rebate. She said "send your original receipts" which I pointed out I had already done. She was so rude and in the course of our phone call accused me of talking over her and at one point she said "I'm not stupid!" I was emphatic but was not rude or accusatory at any time.
She then gave me an email to send my receipts and outline how I wanted to receive the rebate. I followed her directions only to find that it was a made up email address. I tried several times and it was bounced back to me.
The rebate was worth approximately $100. At this point, it is more the point than the amount. Lowe's should not offer rebates unless they will stand behind it. They should be aware of the poor service being offered by the third party Rebate center they are using.
