This is the first time I have ever formally complained about any food product. However I feel this product based on the price was not fit to consume upon the initial unsealing of the container.
I no longer have my receipt, however I know I purchased a container of UTZ Party mix at my local Farm Mkt store within the last 30 days I brought it home and stored it until we finished the open container I have at my home bar.
I opened my current plastic container on Friday December 6th and found it had a strong plastic odor. I tasted a few of the contents and everything had a strong plastic taste. I have seen this before in other snack items which have far exceeded their date, however this container sale by date was November 25, 2024. I would think the product should be eatable for a few weeks after the suggested consumption date.
This product is not fit to eat

UTZ Quality Foods did not provide a satisfactory product. Get in touch with their customer services and explain the problem, mentioning the strong plastic smell and taste together with the “sell by” date. More often than not, firms provide a replacement or refund of the item even when there is no receipt given, especially in regard to quality. Explain that the item could not be eaten from the salad container and ask for reimbursement. A good company should back their products with warranty.
