We signed a contract with VHI on 18/09 2014, together with a debit order form. We also paid a deposit of R5649. On 19/09 I send a sms to the agent Martin Peterson, with the banking details and then again, an email on 20/09 to his manager Martin du Plessis with the same details. This was not sent to their admin offices. I realized that we did not receive any activation passwords or emails as promised. On 13/10 I phoned VHI and this is where the arguments started. I phoned Natasha Klink, Member liaison Administrator, to find out what was going on, without any respond. Every time the receptionist promise me that Natasha will phone me back...Nothing. Then all of a suddenly Elsabe Labuschagne, Member Liaison, started to communicate with me. I explained my concern that if administration cant be done properly, how will VHI be able to assist me in booking a fantastic holiday. I tried to cancel the contract, without any success. According to the contract, I am suppose to pay 50% of the monthly service fee contract that is 24 months. It comes to the amount of R6125.04. They withdraw the debit order for the first month on 1/11 2014 which was R759.42. I cancelled the debit order at the bank and on 01/12/02014 they tried to withdraw the second debit order by changing the amount. I feel this is illegal. I have all the emails as proof of my trying to cancel this contract as soon as possible. Now I start getting sms's regarding our overdue account. I feel that it is unfair that I must loose this amount of money, due to the incompetence of the staff of VHI. Can someone please help me to get VHI of my back and pay back my deposit of R5649 and debit order of R759.42
Thank you

I had the same issues as all of you. I managed to trace down a guy from SAGE you helped me. VHI uses SAGE to collect the debit orders. Sage do not want to be associated with fraudulent businesses. SAGE managed to stop my debit orders and now I am fighting for my deposit taken from my credit card. I am sure you can contact this guy from SAGE directly. The more complaints he receive the better chance there is to stop these scammers. Soothill, Gary
