I think the cashier is homophobic due to my appearance and refused me service for no good reason. He started asking me questions from my (valid) drivers license and I had all the info right except I was off by 15 pounds for the weight, because my weight has changed since I got the licence. He claimed he had no way to scan IDs and was very rude and told me to leave. Valero shouldn't have employees who don't harass their customers and should have a way to scan IDs.
It was on 8/11/24 in the afternoon. It was a young guy with a beard.
Desired outcome: I'd like an apology and for the convenience store to get some way to scan IDs and see if there's a way to deal with the problem employee.

Looks like that cashier found a creative excuse to be unhelpful. Could've been worse — you managed to walk away with your dignity intact, even if Valero dropped the ball. At least you know which gas station to steer clear of next time.
