After arriving from a late flight, my husband and I arrived to fuel our grey truck with a camper shell on it and the first diesel pump would not work. He was able to get only a gallon out of it after multiple attempts.
We then drove to another pump to try it thinking that maybe only one of the pumps was faulty.
As he procceded to get out of the vehicle, he slipped and fell. I ran around to see if he was okay and there was a large diesel spill on the ground covered by what looked like sand, gravel, and dirt so it was not obvious to the naked eye, especially with a vehicle parked over it.
A gentleman walking by asked if he was okay and at the time I wasn't sure whether to call the ambulance or not, but there was no blood and my husband insisted we continue filling up and get home.
Yet, again, this second pump was not functioning correctly and only provided us with just 4 gallons.
Having multiple pumps not in working order was inconvenient to say the least, but the deisel slick at the fuel pump is dangerous and may have caused more damage to him than initially seen to the naked eye or felt.
As the store was closed from 12-5am, for cleaning, no one was there to visit with or make aware of these hazardous conditions. I strongly urge Valero to review the camera footage from the above-mentioned date and times.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response as short and long-term injuries because of the conditions of your fueling location could be detrimental to his health & ability to perform at his work.
