Oil change
Last oct I took my vehicle to valvoline in cape coral fl have my oil changed. On a recent inspection it was found that the check valve located in the filter was not put back. This car has not been to any service center since. This apparently caused low oil pressure at low rpm s and has now damaged the engine. I spoke to the area supervisor and he has advised that valvoline is not responsible! This even after the manager admitted that back then they had problems with a employee and let him go
Oil change and fluid check
I took my 2008 Toyota Avalon to get an oil change and fluid check here in St Louis, Mo. 0n 04/14/22 at around 3:30-4:00 pm, my service date due was not until 4/30/22. After my oil change while still in the bay of valvoline my engine light popped on. I informed the technician of this and he pulled out a hand held device to check a part near my driver side inside the car, it stated coolant low, he said but don't worry it's ok, and he suggest I take a picture of the device message and take it to wherever I get my car serviced. I said will this prevent me from driving or getting home, the technician states and I quote "Oh no mamme you will be fine to get home", your fluids are good so I proceeded home with my 3 grandchildren in the car. Once I got to Hwy 40 and Mason road my car shut down and said engine check. Needless to say I was very upset, stranded on a highway with 3 children at evening high traffic time. I called my insurance company and got my car towed to Pappas Toyota immediately. Today 04/15/22 Toyota called me and asked me questions about the car. I informed them that I just had my oil changed by Valvoline and I keep all of my Valvoline receipts in the car door pocket and the most recent oil change was 04/14/22. The receipt shows all fluids were filled and checked ok, however this was not true as I soon found out. Toyota service states the coolant for the engine fluid was empty and caused major damage to my engine and I will need a new engine. I totally fault Valvoline for negligence of a simple job as filling the coolant and checking my fluids, instead they lied and cheated me out of my money. I expect accountability and speedy full compensation for this horrible error. Please do the right thing and contact me. I can submit all necessary papers and receipts needed.
Desired outcome: Please pay for my engine to be replaced by Toyota and a rental car until this is accomplished this will happily satisfy me. I will lose time from work with no car to drive.
Broken water outlet/radiator pipe after oil change
Brought 2009 corolla to Coon Rapids/Northdale Blvd Valvoline instant oil change for oil change on Saturday March 26th. Drove 2.4 miles home and parked in driveway. A few hours later took car out but turned around after check engine light came on 2 miles down the road. Back in the driveway and engine off I opened the hood to find coolant sprayed throughout the engine compartment and found the water outlet/radiator pipe broken. Bought the replacement part at Auto Zone along with 2 gallons of coolant and made the repair myself. $74 dollars in parts, 3 hours labor (remove battery, replacing the part, refilling coolant, test drive and then top off coolant). Would have had to wait until Monday for a mechanic @ $80-$125/hour. And the store manager offers me 2 oil changes. I am not asking for much but the inconvenience alone was worth more than bringing another of my vehicles in for an oil change at a place where this happened. I have been to the same store in the past but if that is the best you can do I will be looking elsewhere.
Desired outcome: Be paid for the parts&3 hours of (weekend)labor it took to make the repair+inconvenience caused. Had I waited until Monday(taken off work),had towed to a mechanic, paid for their parts/labor plus towing I would be out no less than $300
Oil change
Got a oil change and most of the employees were talking while a few employees were working. They wrote the wrong mileage to start with. After i got home and my vehicle was sitting there was a puddle of oil on my driveway it was coming from the oil filter. I reached up to see if it was tight, I discovered it was loose and leaking. Also my tire pressure on all tires was below the pressure I requested, one tire in particular was only had 20lbs in it. I discovered that the Schrader valve was loose and leaking with scratches all over the valve stem threads. The employee had no clue what he was doing. This is pathetic and they call themselves technicians, this is far from what they are.
Desired outcome: Refund at minimum and someone who has a cluc what there doing
Power Steering went out
I went to the Valvoline on Babcock Rd in San Antonio and had my oil changed. 2 days later, my power steering started to make a whining noise when turning my steering wheel. My husband lifted the hood and saw that they didn’t put my power steering cap back on and blew my pump! I called the customer service line and they said they are opening a case and will get back to me in 24 hours. I had no problems until they serviced my car and now can’t drive anywhere because the whole pump has to be replaced. I hope they pay for the repairs!
Customer service
On Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at about 6:50 p.m. at the Valvoline location in Glen Carbon, Illinois, I had an oil change in my Honda CRV. The oil change itself went very quickly — in under 10 minutes. However, the customer service was not at all what I am accustomed to at this location. When I arrived, the store was completely empty. There were no employee...

I took my 2018 Ford Focus (45,000 miles) in to get an oil change at Valvoline at 7616 Sawmill Road after the oil change I left and took my vehicle home I went to leave my house a couple hours later and notice my check engine light and my oil light was on I then took it back to valvoline to tell them these issues I am having after getting an oil change they proceeded to tell me they did nothing wrong and they did another oil change the oil light never went off and they reset my check engine light without telling me what it was reading! I took my vehicle home and the next day I went out to start it and it wouldn’t start I had it towed to an auto body shop for them to tell me it was most likely because the first oil change they did they didn’t put oil in the vehicle the second time they put to much oil and it caused my timing belt and camshafts and other things in my engine to break
Illegal termination.
I have worked for Valvoline in Dunkirk Maryland for 4 years.I am 64 and on SSDI but am allowed a limited amount of money.I have notified Valvoline if this situation and had reached my limit in November.I was forced to have to take time off till the first of this year.I was told "no problem,as long as your within a 90 day period you can come back the 1st of the year."Well the 1st of the year came and when I asked the manager to put me back on the books they told me I would not be coming back and was given no reason for it.They said they wanted to invest in "longer term employees".I have been there for 4 years. How much longer term do they require?
Desired outcome: Get my job back without harassment or retialiation
Refusal to change my oil.
*On 12/13/2021 @ approximately 12:38pm I was refused an oil service change at VALVOLINE INSTANT OIL CHANGE 070161-Cleburne
*Be advised the Manager, CASSAUNDRA was very congenial, stating they could not service my vehicle because a Piggyback drainplug installed.
*I advised her that I'd been a returning customer, to only this facility, for sometime and never experienced this problem before.
*She advised me it was against her company policy to service my vehicle in this state and I would need to leave. She offered no documentation.
*I asked for documentation and she hesitantly did so.
Desired outcome: Continue servicing my vehicle. Anything wrong with the plug was done at this facility.
Did not fill transmission fluid
My name is Jasmine Frederick, since moving to Huber Heights, OH this is my 2nd time using the Valvoline on Brandt Pike (040120). My 1st visit was unpleasant as they did not fill my coolant, causing my engine to over heat. This 2nd time (10-18-2021) @10:46am I went in, and bought an air filter, and headlight as well as my casual oil change ($100.00) Once...

Subject: Customer Complaint Engine Damaged and Refund
Hello,
My name is Debbie Tureaud. This letter is to report my vehicle engine damages beyond repair. On July 18, 2021, I took my vehicle Hyundai Sonata Sport 2015, VIN: 5NPE34AB7FH081787 to Valvoline Instant Oil Change GN0015 - Costa Mesa ARD# 27961 located at 3599 Harbor Blvd Costa Mesa, CA 92626
On September 20, 2021, my car engine was making noise and smoke was coming out of the front hood. I immediately stop and took my car back home and call my mechanic. My mechanic immediately notices something was wrong with my engine due to the burnt smell. The diagnostic results P0172. My engine had zero oil and no leak. How is this possible? My next change of oil is not due. I have been taking my vehicle to this location for 4 years. My mechanic drove me to Auto Zone to buy engine oil.
The mechanic instructed me to speak with the Manager, Valvoline Instant Oil Change. I went to the location, but the Manager was not in the office, but I left details with Assistant Manager, Aaron. On the following date Monday, September 20, 2021, at 9:04 AM, Armando, Manager called me. I explained the details. Armando stated, " I will review cameras".
Armando called me back the same day and stated " the cameras show the new training employee and assistant had done their due diligence with the change of oil.
I fully disagreed with Armando's feedback. My engine had zero oil. This means two things either your assistant or new employee training forgot to fill my engine with oil or neglected to lock it and the engine leak oil and created damages to my engine car. You are under a legal duty to take care of my vehicle while changing my vehicle's change of oil.
I took my car to the dealership and my engine is consider damaged beyond repair and I need to replace it with a new engine. The dealership has no loaner cars currently and my car insurance does not cover a rental car.
I am seeking reimbursement for the following.
• July 20, 2021, Valvoline Oil Change for $46.27
• September 19, 2021, Auto Zone for amount $43.69
• September 20, 201 - $32.04 x 8 hours day= $256.32 (I missed work to take my car to the dealership and no transportation)
• September 21, 2021 through October 6, 2021, Rental Car Fees $43.28 x 16 days = $692.48 plus $300 deposit = $992.48 (dealership has report it will take 16 days to have my car back)
• Total Refund $1, 338.76
I look forward to receiving my refund within 10 days. This would be a way of successfully resolving my dispute without resorting to legal action.

Debbie Tureaud

Service
I was verbally abused by an angry employee. He reluctantly came out of his office to service my car. He guided me in and was irritated because I turned the wheel too much and scoffed at me in disgust. Then yelled at me in an angry tone for not driving my car into the garage well enough. He was also unfortunately mentoring to kids watching him. What a horrible experience. Needless to say, I left without service.

I got an oil change a few days ago and emailed them with no response. My car is running horribly post oil change. What did they do to my car! It makes noise, engine is loud... It did not do this and i'm aware because I even had it running at certain points during the l change and it wasn't making noise at all. This is not ok and you all need to fix it
Desired outcome: Fix my car for free. It was fine before the oil change
AC recharge service
Initially I went to the Valvoline location on North Bend Rd Cincinnati Ohio and was directed to a different location on Harrison Avenue, Cincinnati Ohio. Now I see that in itself was a scam. They took $140 of mines to charge the ac system which only worked for 20 miles! When I returned to the location, upset mind you, I was told that I would not get a refund and had the police called on me and was told not to come back to the location. Anyone reading this, NEVER GET YOUR CAR SERVICED FROM VALVOLINE! They are worthless souls who will take your money, know they didn't do the job, smile in your face, then call the police when you demand a refund for false services rendered.
Desired outcome: Refund
Oil Change
Similar story to others, go in for an oil change say NO Thank You to all the offers: fuel injector, wipers, etc and then they pull out my air filter and compare it to a new one, yes its dirty but No Thank you I'll wait for the next car service. Asked them to be sure and put it (original air filter) back and next week Check Engine Light comes on. Made an appt. with Nissan for the next week and then the engine starts stuttering...next day it cuts out on me while going 55MPH on busy highway. Lucky I was able to make it to the shoulder and wait for a tow. At Nissan, "Miss your air filter was installed backwards causing the MES Sensor to break!" OK well fix it I need to work and Valvoline should reimburse me, pretty cut and dry right - negligence on the part of the technician.
Called Claims, he investigates and tells me I was over charged for the Labor and they will only pay $470.00 of the 625.00 cost to repair - ($25.00 of this was Lyft). WTH?
So they break my car, I had to get towed and fixed, they should pay my AAA membership for the tow, and I have to take a loss?
How is this fair?
Desired outcome: Full Compensation

Transmission flush
I received a transmission flush at the location on central in Wichita Ks. I later developed transmission issues and took my car to a mechanic. He discovered I was leaking fluid from a damaged drain plug. I contacted the business because they were the only people who could have damaged it. They said I couldn't prove it was them and they refused to pay for...

Went in for oil change 9/13/20. Also purchased a new air filter and wipers for a total of $167.45. During the service they checked my tire pressure. Drove straight home, parked my car, and did not drive until two days later. On 9/15 I pulled out of my driveway and immediately heard the sound of a flat tire. Upon inspection my tire was completely flat. I...

I had a bad experience getting my oil changed in Folsom, CA today. It was at the Valvoline Instant Oil Change Establishment. They advertise a 15 minute Oil Change, Approximately 50 minutes later I was able to leave. What a joke! That is only a small part of my complaint. The real issue is with the air filter they said I needed. The old one was shown to me...
