Does anyone know if there is a Class Action Lawsuit by Volunteer Admins against VarageSale for not protecting them in the early years? They made it that you had to use your real name but kicking people out after three no shows and those people "revoked" retaliated at the volunteer admins in all kinds of ways. This is just the tip of the iceberg. It really was exploitation. It was sold to VerticalScope which is MUCH BETTER and is at least respectful to their volunteers. The original owners who founded it really took advantage of people and then when vacancies opened up didn't hire from their volunteers. The admins who get paid (LeeAnn Matthews, Erika Lee, etc.) aren't nearly as good as the volunteers and seem to resent the volunteers.
There were a few volunteer admins in the "communities" here in Essex County. If anyone wants to meet and discuss this, let me know.
Currently, there seems to be no filed evidence for such a class action by volunteer administrators against VarageSale claiming these as the reasons the plaintiffs were bare-relief, or real names are also mandatory sponsorship, or that ex-members can and constantly do retaliate them. However, some volunteer admins have expressed their discontent with VarageSale’s practices and the way they were treated. Yet, these complaints never reached the class action level.
