Billing for this company is fraudulent (Trying to charge twice)
I scheduled and had a visit at a Texas location July 2023 for annual check up and was charged $500 dollars after insurance which was the start of the craziness as insurance covers annuals. I went ahead and paid for it in full through the portal and was done using this company as the Doctor I saw although great, left the company and now I understand why.
Now almost 6months later, I receive a email and text message via the portal stating I owe $200 something for a visit I paid for in full. To make matters worse, the bill for $200 dollars didn't even list what it was for, it just shows $200 that needs to be paid. Which is unlike the $500 dollar bill that showed the service that were given.
This company mainly billing needs to be shut down or they need to use a different billing company to stop trying to get money from people who just want to keep their health in check.
Desired outcome: To remove the bill from my portal and close my account

Village Medical Spring Hill, FL Joseph Starnes and Staff
The staff at this village medical located in spring hill florida off of mariner blvd, do not care about their patients wellbeing. I have seen people leave in tears. Joseph Starnes is a terrible physician and will never be a doctor because he is a total a hole. I warn everyone to find another clinician/clinic. It seems to be all about money and their lack of care is not worth a penny. If i had the money i would sue.

Beware they add items on that the doctors never performed to get additional revenue. I called and and was told it was a coding issue for a $12.00 charge. Then I get another bill stating Medicare and Florida Blue didn't cover a standard office visit and billed additional 25.41 plus the 12.00 from the wrong coding. Either they are totally incompetent and/or...

Village medical at avalon park/east colonial drive - felicia
This office is the absolute worst medical team I have ever seen in my 69 years! They like to run tests and have you in for many office visits but are absolutely unavailable after that. They can't write a referral correctly. Felicia has to look up everything in a book and Roshad Patel writes things in patients files that are not true. I was lied to about...

My medicare coverage is provided by Devoted Health. Devoted Health Membership cards show Primary Care Provider on the card. I made a new patient appointment at Village MD's Eustis Florida location for an Annual Wellness visit. My appointment was confirmed and I completed a voluminous on line requirement for new patients. When I arrived the receptionist and her supervisor refused to let me see the Doctor because my Devoted Card listed someone other than the Village MD Doctor as Primary Care Provider. Medicare's only requirement for the Annual Wellnes Visit is Part B coverage for more than one year. I meet that requirement and it is irrelevant that the Village MD Doctor was not shown on my Devoted Card as my Primary Care Provider. Who on earth would change his Primary Care Provider without seeing the new Doctor?
Desired outcome: The Eustis Village MD office should be reprimanded for refusal of my confirmed visit.
Billing for services not requested
We 2x scheduled appointsments as non insurance, cash paying customers for full checkup/evaluation. The cost listed is $120. We paid that. Filled out the "mandatory" paperwork before visit and 1x had to fill out ipad. After both visits, we are hit with a $22.00 bill. States for "mental health screening." 2 things: 1st, we never requested or asked for said...

I received medical services from Village Medical in May, and was billed $71.02. I paid this bill on 5.24.22, but was informed by their customer service that the balance was pending. I provided proof of payment to billing on 6.15.22. Despite this, I got a notice of non-receipt of payment. I visited the clinic to settle the balance. On 7.11.22, I was told my payment was received but not applied to my balance.

My problem occurred 10/21 when I was scheduled for a routine check up at Village Medical at ***
My problem occurred 10/21 when I was scheduled for a routine check up at Village Medical at ***. However, there was nothing routine about it. The assistant at the facility sent my lab work to the wrong Laboratory without my knowledge and didnt double check my insurance to see what laboratory was approved. Which cause me to accumulate a *** by the medical error that occurred. I called the facility many of times and visit the facility with no solution. I even went to the materials of filing a appeal with my insurance for a solution but still nothing. No ever reached out for with a solution and my insurance agent even went to the materials of calling but village medical give him the run around. This company is incompetent and isnt a trustworthy business to deal with.

I made an appointment for Annual Physical in February with Village Medical. On the day of appointment, I reached the clinic and was informed that the doctor was out that day and was referred to another location. I went to that location and saw the doctor/NP. Afterwards, I received a bill for $100.67 when my insurance covers annual physical. This ensued the many phone calls and driving to Village Medical clinic to figure out why I am being charged for Annual Physical. After dragging on for 5-6 months, I was told that it is the new patient visit charge. I was never told of the 'new patient' charge when I made the appointment for Annual Physical. I have gone to several clinics and practitioners and such fees are told upfront by the front desk so that the patient is coming in informed. What Village Medical has done is unethical and dereliction of duty.
I received a **** back in april 2022 stating that i received a payment from the insurance company for the fee of the service
I received a *** back in april 2022 stating that i received a payment from the insurance company for the fee of the service. I spoke to someone on May 6th and stated that i did not receive a payment from them and they stated they would look into it. I spoke to my previous insurance and they indicated they had not sent a check as well and it was likely a billing error, because my dr is in the network. They asked me to give it 8 days to 6 weeks. On monday, may 9th, i receive a *** for 760 dollars with transaction dating back to june and February 2022, which had already been settled but they have resurfaced and doubled billed and in my opinion demonstrating insurance fraud. This is very concerning as it has the likelihood to impact my credit if not resolved before it is sent to collections due to nonpayment. I have always paid my bills and this is causing unnecessary stress as there is no communication and i cant get clear answers regarding this.

Same situation as others have reported. Have been to this location in the past without issue, ever since Village Medical bought them everything changed. I went for my annual wellness checkup (100% and does not count towards my deductible as confirmed by my insurance). They have sent bills for over $1000 for something that I am not going to pay anything for. I have been told time and time again that they are going to handle it but they just sent it to collections.
The Village Medical group is trying to bill me twice for the services we had done [protected] for my daughter school physical
The Village Medical group is trying to bill me twice for the services we had done [protected] for my daughter school physical. They do not take the insurance we have so I had to paid up front *** for the physical before they seen my kids. I also had to get my son a physical at the same time and paid *** for his school physical. They are trying to charge me for something they did not even see him for. I have received texted saying I owe them money and it is on the payment history I paid for what they seen my kids for. They do have a bill under my son that need to be removed are I will seek an attorney against them for false documentations on a medical record. I did call and talked to somebody, and he seen everything I was talking about and said it would be taking care of in 5 to 7 business day. That was over 3 or 4 weeks ago. I have spent hour on the phone trying to get this taking care of and I'm not sure what else I can do. The business can call me to resolve the issue

Where is this Billing Department you keep referring to? Is there a phone number or address? I've sent a letter to VM Corporate about my problem with the provider's office double billing me; the local billing "employee" refuses to help. She continues to duplicate bill me for claims that my insurance has paid or attempted to pay. I've spent valuable time in the past year on the phone with my insurance company as we tried to resolve this. I've had no response from your Chicago Office. I have a great doctor, but this one employee is about to drive me away from a long-time doctor/patient relationship. I've never had such a problem with other medical providers, and now I'm hesitant to go in for appointments and labs which is a negative impact on my health.
I visited Village Medical at a location once in early November in 2021. I have received three bills for a single visit. They claim I have been to that facility and another location and continue to bill me. This is fraud. They claim they do not have a legal department and are extremely unhelpful when you call. No one should ever do business with Village Medical.
They have dropped my mothers care for 4 months so far - nightmare that never ends - now my mother is bed ridden - please help - what if this was your mother?
I was seen by Village Medical at an undisclosed location on 4/23/22
I was seen by Village Medical at an undisclosed location on 4/23/22. I have 3 issues, and their message portal is not allowing me to communicate with them. There's been zero response. 1) I told them NOT to use the address on my ID, and gave them my PO Box. I made it very clear that I no longer live at the address on my ID. Upon receiving an alert from Cigna that I should have a checkup due by Village Medical, I logged into their website and realized they entered the address from my ID. I want the incorrect address scrubbed from their system. They must use my PO Box. 2) Due to the first issue, they are sending my medical information to an address I don't live at anymore. I no longer trust them with my information. For this reason, I wish to cancel my 10/13 appointment. 3) Please clear the 1 cent balance on my account. DOB: 10/13/87. They didn't provide an account number. All communication must be through here. I'm not handling anything else verbally with this business.

I walked in the this clinic to make health check appointment
I walked in the this clinic to make health check appointment. I prorovided my insurance card the representive was told me they are in net work and it shold be cover with my insurance. She made copy of my insurance card and make an appointment easy. About year later I have recieved the bill of $454.25 because they are not my insurance net work. I checked many times when I made an appointment. She made it clear that it was in the network. When I received the bill and contacted them, they said it was my responsibility to pay. Aren't they responsible for me being lied to? Please investigate and advise them to be more cautious so that not only me but others will be lied to in the same way. Also, I was charged $315 for the health check. This is clearly a high amount. The nurse who took my blood panicked because she was new and couldn't take the blood. She left me alone in the room with the needle stuck on my arm, I scared. I complained to doctor about this and she said that sorry. The doctor said that she was new and came from dialysis office. NOT PRIFESSIONAL!

I visited the practice one time back in April
I visited the practice one time back in April. At the time of my visit, I provided not one but TWO valid insurances. A primary and a secondary. My primary insurance wasnt charged until 90 days after my visit. At that point, I had left my previous employer rendering the insurance no longer active. However, that should not have mattered as it was active at the service date and if they did their job correctly the claim would have been covered. They also did not charge my secondary insurance AT ALL, which is what they should have done immediately if they received pushback from the primary insurance. Even though it was their error entering the wrong date of service to begin with. As a result of their gross negligence, they sent a $419 bill to collections. My insurance, if billed correctly, would have made me owe nothing. I called several times, emailed several times, and spoke to several people who confirmed the error was on their end and that the balance should be removed. This includes the office manager of the practice as well as the regional manager. However, it is STILL in collections.

I visited Village Medical on 03/23/2022 for my annual Wellness visit. I the received an additional bill on 04/16/2022 for $60.56. I then received another bill on 05/21/2022 for $93.58 that included the original $60.56.I then logged into my United Healthcare account and accessed my Optum ***. I had a large number of bills in 2021 and I found out that it was easiest to pay them through the United Healthcare website using my *** funds. I submitted the $93.58 for *** payment on 05/25/2022. I thought that was the end of it.On 06/25/2022 I received another bill for the original $60.56. I sent a message to Village Medical with the details of the *** payment on 07/04/2022. They seemed to ignore it and asked to be paid by Credit Card.We went back and forth on this for about a month until I finally learned that they had sent the bill to TSI collections. I sent a physical copy of the e-mail I had received from Optum confirming the payment to TSI but they seem to be ignoring that as well. I have tried to contact Village Medical on the phone but after being on hold for over an hour and not getting a call back I have given up.Any help with this would be appreciated.Thank You

More than 4 months ago (5/20/22) I went to this facility (i.e. *** - Village Medical located at ***) for an Annual Checkup. Before I went there, I contacted United Healthcare my Insurance Provider and asked what to say so I would not be charged. They said, tell them you need only *** bloodwork and I did. Yesterday, they sent me a bill for $36.17 asking me to pay. When I contacted them, they said that is because of a Diagnostic code that apparently their doctor provided for high cholesterol. During my visit more than 4 months ago, I clearly mentioned that I have a high deductible plan and only want *** care. I knew my cholesterol was a little high. I have been taking medication for that for the past few years and were told in the past that it was Genetic. I did not ask for any guidance on how to lower my cholesterol whatsoever. I told them I just need a bloodwork to monitor my numbers. During my call to them yesterday, I asked what that charge was for and they said they cannot share that information with me over the phone. This is 100% fraud to me. The amount is nothing to me but if they do the same to others, it will add up to hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions. They even lost my urine during my checkup and said come back we take another one. I am paying with my company share around $500/month and not even covered for one-time annual checkup. Why should I pay for something that I didn't ask for. This is an insult to my intelligence. I don't believe what they did is legal.

I went in for a visit on 11/23 and it went fine
I went in for a visit on 11/23 and it went fine. $35 co pay, normal appointment. I went in again with covid symptoms on 12/20 and got a negative covid test, $35 co pay. I had a virtual visit on 12/28 to discuss my covid symptoms. This is where 'surprise bill' comes from. I was charged $292 for outpatient services which did not come to my attention until 04/12/22, almost four months after. I was charged $67 for influeza A Assay w/optic, which was also given to me 04/12/22. I was charged $67 for influenza Assay w/o optic, also given to me on 04/12/22. I was billed $31 for a covid test, also given to me on 04/12/22, amounting to $457. No one told me my virtual visit was not covered by my insurance. VillageMD stated that their location on 19th. Ave was out of my network, which is why it was charged as outpatient services, yet on 11/28, it was billed normally to my insurance. If they really changed their service limits within that month, they should have let me know. I am a teacher and it is very hard to swing a $292 bill that is wrongfully billed to me. I sent a secured message on 07/25/22 and on 08/01/22, *** said they would be taking a look at it and to allow 30 business days for them to find a resolution. On 08/10/22, Village Medical sent my bill to collections. So right there is a literal lie. *** told me to allow 30 business days for resolution on 08/01/22, yet Village Medical on ***. and *** sent my bill to collections 10 days later. Whether or not it is a giant misunderstanding, the office on *** and *** should have told me that they were no longer in my network, because as of 11/23 they were in my network. This office also should have checked the notes of me and *** telling me this process could take 30 business days on 08/01/22.

Capstone Apartments were supposed to be developed as affordable apartments for our community
Capstone Apartments were supposed to be developed as affordable apartments for our community. Instead, they are expensive apartments made only for the employees of SK Battery. If you work for SK Battery not only do you get a discounted rate, but your application is pushed through on top of others and they have no requirements. Where everyone else has to pay fraudulent donation fees, have your credit checked and pay ridiculous application fees. This has been proven several times to be the case by multiple people in the community. Also they take the money out of your account automatically but then say it will take 3-4 weeks to get half the money you paid in just to apply. They need new and fair management. These apartments were literally built to assist our community not to bring new people to it and rip the community off. The apartments were supposed to help house people who have fallen on hard times and give them a nice community to live in. They even built a dog park instead of an actual park for children to play in. They make people spend outrageous amounts just to apply, knowing that they are just going to deny us because we don't work for SK Battery. They literally denied a retired Army vet a place to live with his children because he had a bankruptcy on his record. He served our country and the thanks he gets for it is absolutely nothing. All he wanted was for his children to be able to have better opportunities in a better school program. Yet they would rather him and his children live on the street. Apartments are supposed to be there to help people going through hard times that can't afford a house. Either they need new management or the apartments need to go. This is not what Commerce stands for. We are a small community that try to help one another not put each other out on the streets with nowhere to stay.

Date of transaction: 07/27/22 Amount: 273 (Physical), $285 (Labs)Business committed to provide a annual physical and lab work accompanying such. Dispute:1. Upon arrival and prior to any services being rendered I verbally requested it be verified that my insurance would be covering the physical in its entirety to which I was informed by the business it would be fully covered after they ran my health insurance. My first dispute of note is for the amount of $124.41 (statement 2352260A13711) arriving on 8/19/22 for my annual physical After both the receptionists who pulled my insurance and my medical practitioner verified my inquiry that the checkup would be fully covered. This is a violation of my consumer protection rights as I did not agree to any out-of-pocket amount, had I had known the amount in full was not to be covered I would have made a conscious decision as to receive services and price shop. 2. My second complaint is for my lab work. Prior to blood being drawn I asked my medical practitioner if blood work labs would cost extra as I informed them I have gotten labwork done myself without the inclusion of an office visit and know how to negotiate rates/shop around. They informed me it was included and wouldn't be out of pocket. On 8/13/22 I received a bill from Lapcorp for $81.43 invoice# ***. Again this was undisclosed prior to services provided and my inquiry.Resolution - I would like the medical center to work with my insurance to be paid out to the extent my health insurance will cover, and no further balance rendered to me. Likewise, I require the medical center to work with my insurance to resolve lab bills or cover them out of pocket due to deceptive practices by means of not ensuring accurate coverage details before rendering services. Side note: I reached out to village medical and after their request for documents, they stopped responding, including to my subsequent messages.

NP prescribed medication without confirming genetic compatibility
NP prescribed medication without confirming genetic compatibility. After expressing my frustration with the trial-and-error approach to medication, the NP criticized my former doctor's prescription methods. Then, ironically, the NP reduced my Cymbalta dosage to transition me to Prozac, despite a costly test indicating Prozac was unsuitable for my genetic profile. This felt like a repeat of the hasty and uninformed decisions criticized earlier. The NP lacked empathy and seemed more interested in processing patients than providing thorough care. Dissatisfied, I scheduled an appointment with a different provider, only to have it canceled without notice due to insurance issues. Subsequent attempts to reschedule were met with long holds and dropped calls. Finally, I saw a different NP who, despite being an improvement, also failed to follow through completely. A mix-up with my prescription left me without necessary medication, impacting my mood and well-being. The inefficiency and lack of timely communication have left me extremely frustrated, diminishing any chance of rectifying the situation.
