Vinesse Vinesse Wine Club Review: Beware of Hidden Fees and Poor Customer Service

I sent in my Introductory for $49.99 on 4/28 by snail mail (which means they got it by at least May 2). The wines were alright, nothing too special. I read all of the literature, including that they would send out a delivery every month. On 5/24, I called to cancel because their shipping charges are outrageous and more than other wine clubs I use. I was thinking about subscribing to a cheaper club, but then the representative told me that my new shipment had already been sent out. I told him that it wasn't even a month since I ordered and I received no notice of a shipment. He said "We don't notify you and the shipments take 3 weeks to get to you. That is why we sent it already." 3 weeks? Are you kidding me? The first shipment they sent arrived one week after they received my order. 3 weeks delivery time in 2017 is hogwash. I asked him the price I would have to pay for this delivery and he said that for the 6 bottles sent, it was $123.49. Their wines were worth only half of that amount. If I decided to refuse the shipment, they would charge my card $45 for the return of the box of wine. Be very careful if you take the Introductory Offer. Cancel immediately or they will send out a shipment and make you pay through the nose. Also, they never offered me the choice of frequency of delivery, the number of bottles, or whether I wanted red, white, or mixed. A real rip-off company. Best to stay away. Try Laithwaites instead. They let you know when a delivery is scheduled in time to postpone and offer free shipping periodically. I have free shipping for a year and order from them regularly. They are honest and although some prices are high, they offer specials and their shipping rates are much cheaper than Vinesse.

Vinesse Vinesse Wine Club Review: Disappointing Prices and Quality, Difficult to Cancel Membership

I decided to give Vinesse a try after seeing their AA shopping bonus and promo. However, like many other reviewers, I was disappointed to find that the prices had increased and the quality of the wines had decreased. It's a shame that American Airlines would promote such a company.

When I tried to cancel my membership, I was told that next month's shipment had already been charged and that it would be my last. Even when I said I didn't want the next shipment, I was told it was already charged. I was given a refund request form, but when I filled it out, I was denied because the next order had already been processed. If I sent the wine back, I would be charged a $16+ shipping fee.

When I called customer service again, I was told that there was no manager available. I'm still waiting for a response from the manager. This whole situation seems like a scam to me.

I've disputed the charge and all future charges with my AMEX. I'll also be refusing the shipment, but I'm sure I'll be charged a shipping and restocking fee like many others have reported. I've contacted AA via email and recommend that others do the same. American Airlines will send you an email with contact information for the merchant department.

It's time to put a stop to this scam so others don't fall victim to it. I wish I had known all of this before I placed an order with Vinesse. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

Vinesse Beware of Vinesse's United MileagePlus deal - a total ripoff!

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Vinesse. I know some other folks have already talked about this, but that United MileagePlus deal is a total ripoff. I just got off the phone with a customer service rep who didn't seem to care at all about my concerns. They pointed me to a tiny link at the bottom of the offer page (which wasn't even in the original email from United) that had some sketchy language about needing to be an "active member" for 21 days after the shipment to get the miles. But get this - if you stay an active member for 21 days after your first or second shipment, they'll just send you another box and charge you for it. So you actually have to pay for three boxes to get all the miles. And after the first shipment, the prices go way up, so I was basically forced to pay a ton of money just to get the miles I was promised.

The terms and conditions (which are buried after that shady 21-day membership requirement) say that you'll get 2,500 bonus miles with your first shipment and 4,000 with your second. But that's a total lie.

And to make matters worse, the wine we got was pretty bad. The first box was okay, but the second one was full of low-quality, barely drinkable wine.

I used to be a member of Winc and decided to give Vinesse a try for the miles (which now seem like they're not even worth it), and I regret it. I'd definitely recommend staying away from Vinesse and going with a different wine club. I'm back with Winc now and couldn't be happier with their wine and customer service.

Vinesse Unreliable AAdvantage Deal: My Experience with Vinesse Wine of the Month Club

I gotta say, I don't recommend buying from Vinesse, especially if you're thinking about getting their AAdvantage deal for the wine of the month. I got it for my mom's birthday and it was supposed to be $41.95 for the first month with 2,000 AAdvantage miles included. But when I got charged, it was full price. I had to talk to someone named Riley on their online chat to get it fixed. They also told me that the second shipment would come with an extra 3,000 miles. I thought I'd get that as a Mother's Day gift and then close the account since I'm not even in the country to drink the wine.

So I closed the account a couple weeks ago and then I realized I was missing some AAdvantage miles. I talked to someone named Kimmie and they told me I wasn't even signed up for the deal, even though their own person told me about it. Then they said it was because I closed my account too soon after the shipment. But I looked at their terms and conditions and there was nothing about that. Then they told me to talk to the company that does the promotions to get my miles. They won't even admit they messed up. My first shipment only got 1,700 miles instead of the 2,000 I was supposed to get. And I didn't get any for the second one. They told me I could send the wine back but I'd have to pay for shipping. I have all the chat logs and they still won't do anything.

Update: I finally talked to a supervisor and they fixed everything. It was a pain dealing with the regular customer service people, but once I got to the supervisor, things went smoother.

Vinesse Beware of Vinesse's Wine Clubs: Limited Variety and Unexpected Charges

I recently signed up for the American Cellars Wine Club introductory offer on Acorns.com, which included $40+ worth of wine. While browsing the site on a Saturday, I clicked on the World of Wines club link to learn more. To my surprise, I was immediately charged $164 for joining the new club without being able to review and confirm my purchase beforehand. I assumed that the charge was for 12 bottles of wine, including the 6 intro wines and 6 new club wines.

Unfortunately, I was unable to reach customer service until after the weekend, and by then, they said it was too late to cancel. However, they did stop any further auto-shipping and gave me the option to refuse the shipments to receive a refund. Ultimately, I decided to keep the 12 bottles of wine for $164.

On September 17th, I received a shipment of 6 bottles from the World of Wine club. Although the wine was pretty good, I was disappointed to see that the shipment only included 3 brands, with 2 bottles of each. I was expecting more variety from a wine club.

When I contacted customer service on October 7th to inquire about my introductory shipment, I was informed that my ACWC membership had been cancelled on September 14th via chat. Therefore, my introductory offer, which was scheduled to process on October 5th, did not go through because I had cancelled before that date. Additionally, I was only charged for the TWOW shipment, which costs $154.49 plus taxes and surcharges for 6 bottles. This meant that I ended up paying over $27 per bottle, including tax and shipping, instead of the $40+ I had expected for 6 bottles.

Overall, I would caution others to be careful when signing up for Vinesse's wine clubs. There is no way to see itemized receipts, and there is no confirmation of purchases before being charged. Additionally, the club shipments may have limited variety, as I only received 3 brands in my TWOW shipment.

Vinesse Vinesse Wine Club Review: Scammy Deals, Terrible Customer Service, and Mediocre Wine

I gotta tell ya, Vinesse ain't worth your time or money. Don't fall for their "amazing" deals, they're just trying to scam ya. Their customer service is a joke, good luck trying to get a hold of them. And don't even get me started on the quality of their wines, it's either bad or just plain average.

I cancelled my membership after the first delivery because the wine was just not up to par. But then, six months later, my husband fell for their offer of 8 bottles of wine for $40 (using my name, which they already had on file). There was no way to review or confirm the shipment, and before I knew it, my account was charged $120! They renewed my membership without telling me and charged me an unauthorized amount.

I tried calling their customer service, but no one answered. Finally, someone responded to my chat, but they told me I couldn't cancel the order because it was already "in process". When the shipment arrived, I refused it, but they still charged me for the shipping.

I've seen other people complain about this on their blog, so it's clear that this is just how they do business. They're all about tricking and deceiving their customers, it's like they're extorting us. If they want to change the payment authorized by a customer, they should at least let us know and update the order before it's finalized. And they should give us a chance to review and confirm the order so we can cancel or modify it if we need to, like any other online company would.

I'm disputing their charges with my credit card company, and I'm definitely not going to be a Vinesse customer anymore. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else for your wine.

Vinesse Vinesse Wine Club Review: Poor Quality Wine, Misleading Information, and Hidden Fees

So, I ordered my first case of wine from Vinesse on 8/31. It took a while to get to me, maybe two weeks or more. When it finally arrived, I was disappointed to hear from my in-laws that the wine was barely drinkable. I did some research and found out that the wines are only available through Vinesse, which seemed a bit sketchy to me.

A few weeks ago, I saw a pending charge of $144.06 on my credit card. I checked my online account and saw that my next shipment was scheduled for 10/16/17, and that I would receive an email notification from Vinesse 7 days prior to shipping. I was planning on using that email as a reminder to cancel my membership, as I didn't want to continue paying that price for such poor quality wine.

I called to cancel my membership, and the pending charge disappeared a few days later. However, on 9/25, I saw a finalized charge for $144.06 on my credit account. I checked my online Vinesse account and saw that I was still an active member. The wine hadn't shipped yet, so I cancelled my membership online and called Vinesse again.

To my surprise, they claimed that they had no record of me calling before. They also said that while the wine hadn't shipped to me yet, it had already left the warehouse and couldn't be cancelled. They offered me a 40% discount (which was still $100) or the option to refuse shipment and be refunded minus the shipping and a 15% restocking fee, which would cost about $50.

I was confused about the restocking fee, as I wasn't even planning on opening the box. I didn't want to pay $50 for nothing, and I didn't want to pay $100 for wine that I couldn't drink and was too embarrassed to give as gifts. I felt like I had been misled by false information - I thought my next shipment wasn't until 10/16, and I thought I would receive a reminder email to cancel.

I appreciate the offers to return or keep the wine at a discounted rate, but I don't have an extra $50 or $100 to spare. I decided to reach out to my credit card company, the Better Business Bureau, and the New York Attorney General's office to see what my rights are in this situation. As a consumer, I advise you to stay away from Vinesse. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Vinesse Vinesse Wine Club Review: Lack of Transparency and Hidden Fees

I gotta say, I've been using a few different wine club services and I wasn't too upset with Vinesse's monthly delivery system. But let me tell you, their lack of transparency is a real problem. When I first signed up, I was impressed with the packaging and the quality of the wines for the price I paid. So I decided to keep my membership, but I made sure to reschedule my next delivery date to avoid getting wines I didn't need.

But then, four months later, I noticed an unknown annual fee of $30 charged to my credit card. I reached out to their customer service to request a refund, but the agent kept insisting that I had agreed to their policies and terms, which apparently included this annual fee. Now, I'm not one to skip over terms and policies - I read them every time I sign up for a subscription service. And I definitely don't remember seeing anything about an annual fee in Vinesse's policies and terms.

When I brought this up to the agent, they told me that they had mailed me the information recently and that it would arrive soon. But how was I supposed to agree to something that I wasn't even informed about? It's pretty clear that they didn't disclose the information when I signed up. Eventually, the agent offered me a credit, but I was too frustrated to accept it. Finally, they agreed to give me a refund and cancel my membership, which I didn't even ask for, but I was just glad to be done with it.

Look, I'm not against paying for good service. I use other membership services that charge fees, and I'm happy to do so. But Vinesse's lack of transparency is a real issue. They mailed me the terms four months after I signed up and charged my credit card before the terms even arrived. That's not consent, that's just shady.

Vinesse Vinesse Wine Club Review: Inaccurate Timeline & Poor Customer Service

So, I decided to give Vinesse wine club a try after reading about it on their website. I travel a lot for work, so I was looking for a fun wine club to join. However, I quickly realized that someone must be home to receive the delivery. This review is a bit long, but I hope it helps others avoid a headache.

The FAQ section clearly states that orders are typically processed and shipped within 48 business hours of receiving your order. I placed my order on Tuesday, October 11, so 48 hours later would be Thursday, October 13... but let's give a little leeway all the way to Wednesday, October 19th... I finally contacted Vinesse to check on my order status a full 5 business days after I placed the order because it still did not show up as shipped in my account. As of the morning of the 19th, my order hadn't shipped (as verified via email).

I decided to open a chat later in the day to see if I could cancel my order (because Vinesse had not responded to my request to cancel via email). The order had not shipped when I started the chat conversation with their representative. Guess what miraculously happened while on the chat? The order had shipped and I could no longer cancel it. Guess what else? Even though the order "shipped" - as of today, Friday October 21, they cannot provide a tracking number to me and I was told today that shipping can take up to 10-14 business days!

Well, so much for their timeline and my effort to join a wine club that fit my schedule. I'm out of town for a minimum of three weeks beginning Monday and will not be able to receive the package (I work from home so I don't have a business address I can ship to). I had planned this delivery based on the information provided by Vinesse on their website, which is woefully inaccurate!

Also, the welcome e-mail I received stated that the introductory club shipment 1 "will arrive within 10 days." Um, let's see... we're 10 days in and I was just told today (21st) that it will be another 10-14 days before the shipment arrives. And if I want to just have the shipment returned (because I am not available to receive it) I will have to pay a restocking fee!

The customer service is just deplorable. The agents are nice, but they will not help to rectify a situation caused by their own company. If they cannot adhere to the timeline identified on their company website, the customer should not have to pay a restocking fee. They did offer to re-send the shipment at no cost; however, I will be gone for at least 3 weeks due to work, so I had planned on receiving this shipment before leaving for my travels. I am beyond frustrated with this company and will never do business with them again and will advise all friends/family to avoid doing business with them.

Vinesse Vinesse Wines Review: Be Cautious Before Joining Their Wine Club

So, I got this mailing from Vinesse Wines about their wine club. At first, I was excited because it said I would get 2 extra bottles of wine with my order of 6. But then, I saw another insert that made me think I wouldn't get those extra bottles until my second order. I was confused, so I contacted the company. They did some research and told me that I would only get the extra bottles with my second order. I was pretty disappointed and told them I wasn't interested anymore.

But then, a few weeks later, I got another advertisement from Vinesse Wines that seemed to offer the same thing - 2 free bottles with my first shipment. I called them up and they asked me for a code number on my mailing address. They confirmed that I would get the extra bottles with my first shipment, so I decided to give them a chance.

When I got my wine, I was a little worried because there was no information about how to manage my account online. I found their website, but I couldn't log in. I tried using the customer number they gave me, but it didn't work. I had to contact customer service through their chat feature and they manually gave me access. I was also concerned because there was no way to cancel my membership online. I had to contact customer service again to cancel.

I did some research on Vinesse Wines and found out that they have a bad reputation. Many people have complained about their wine, customer service, and billing practices. I contacted my credit card company to make sure they wouldn't accept any future charges from Vinesse Wines.

Overall, I would be careful when dealing with this company. They don't seem to have their act together and there are many negative reviews out there.

Vinesse Poor Wine Quality and Terrible Customer Service from Vinesse Wine Club

I recently joined the Vinesse wine club through United Airlines to earn some miles and get some wine. The wines were just okay, but I felt they were a bit overpriced. I have purchased comparable or better wines, including imports, for less than the domestic reds I received.

However, when I tried to cancel my membership, I was told that in order to receive all of my promotional miles, I needed to cancel by a certain date. I did so, but then received a shipment about two weeks later. I rejected it, but then received an email a week later stating that I would receive a refund minus a 15% restocking fee and the shipping cost - for something I had already cancelled! This ended up costing me about $55.

When I called customer service, I asked if they could at least waive the restocking fee since I had already cancelled. But they refused and offered no help. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. And to make matters worse, Vinesse adds messages to these reviews that are even more insulting. They ask you to call them so they can offer you another scam, and essentially tell you that they are right and you are wrong so they won't refund your money as promised. It's a complete joke.

Overall, I would not recommend Vinesse. The wine is not that great, and the customer service is terrible. Save yourself the trouble and find a better wine club.

Vinesse Unethical Bonus Shipment and Delayed Refund: My Disappointing Experience with Vinesse Wines

I gotta say, I'm pretty bummed out about Vinesse. I used to really enjoy their wines and I thought their online system for delaying or canceling shipments was pretty convenient. But then, in December, I checked my bank account and saw a charge pending for $268.00 from Vinesse. What the heck, right? So I called them up and they told me it was a Christmas "bonus" shipment. Yeah, right. It was a bonus for them, not for me. I didn't order the wine and it wasn't part of my agreement with them. Plus, it was like $100.00 more than I usually spend on a shipment. They said they sent a mailer before shipping the wine that I was supposed to send back if I didn't want it. But I never got a mailer and that's not what I agreed to when I joined the club. They said they couldn't cancel the order since it had already been shipped, but I could refuse it when it was delivered. So I did that and they sent me an online form to request a refund. They said it would take 7-10 business days to get my refund. That was on December 23rd. Then on January 6th, I got an email saying I was entitled to a credit minus shipping, which was over $20.00. And they said it would take another 7-10 business days to show up in my account. I disputed the shipping charge, but honestly, I don't think I'll ever do business with Vinesse again. It's just not cool to use shady tactics like this to make a buck.

Vinesse Vinesse Wine Club Review: Automatic Shipments and Hidden Fees

So, I ordered some wine from Vinesse and thought that was it. But then, I got another shipment the next month. I called them up and found out that I was automatically signed up for a monthly shipment. I was able to adjust the number of shipments, but then I got another shipment of white wine a few days later. Apparently, I accidentally signed up for the white wine club when I was browsing their website. I was pretty upset and asked for a full refund and to cancel my membership. They said I had to pay for return shipping and accept a 20% restocking fee. I was not happy about that and told them I wouldn't accept anything less than a full refund. Eventually, they agreed to refund me in full if I returned the product to the shippers warehouse. I did that, but it took them 3 weeks to process the refund. I had to call them again to get an expedited refund, which they said would take about 12 business days. I don't trust anything they say on their website. If you want a good wine club, try Naked Wines or Laithwaite Wine Club. They have great wines and free shipping.

Vinesse Vinesse Wine Club Review: Shady Business Practices and False Promises

I gotta say, I had an experience with Vinesse that I just gotta share. Now, I ain't one to write reviews 'bout companies, but this one really got me riled up. Let me tell you, Vinesse is a real pro at scamming their customers. They make all these promises on their website, like free shipping and handling for orders with at least 12 bottles, but then they go and charge you for it anyways 'cause it don't apply for club memberships. I mean, come on now, their website says "FREE SHIPPING on 12+ Bottles!" and then they go and charge you for it anyways. That's just plain wrong.

And don't even get me started on their club membership prices. They advertise one price, but then they go and charge you something completely different. It's like they think we're all a bunch of suckers or something. And when you call their customer service to complain, they just give you attitude and blame you for everything. They don't take any responsibility for their own mistakes.

I was part of their "World of Wine" club, which supposedly offers wine for "$20.25?$23 per bottle Plus tax and delivery". So I ordered 12 bottles, going with the highest price of $23 per bottle, which should have come out to $276. Then you gotta add in the tax for Texas, which is 8.25%, so that's another $22.77. That should have brought my total to $298.77. But no, they charged me $378.78! When I called to complain, they said it was for shipping and handling. But that's just ridiculous! Their own website says that shipping and handling is free for orders with at least 12 bottles. And their regular rates chart says it should only be $42. So why did they charge me $80.01 for it? It just don't make no sense.

Honestly, there are way better options out there for buying wine. You can find better quality wine for cheaper prices, and you won't have to deal with all the shady business practices that Vinesse pulls. So do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. They don't care about their customers, and they'll just try to scam you every chance they get.

Vinesse Vinesse Wine Club Review: Overpriced and Misleading - A Scam?

I gotta tell ya, I was pretty excited when I signed up for the Vinesse Wine Club through United Mileage Plus. I mean, who doesn't love a good glass of vino, am I right? But let me tell you, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I received my first two orders. The wines were way overpriced for the quality, and to make matters worse, I couldn't find any of them in stores. That made me think they were just relabeling some other brand's wine and charging me an arm and a leg for it. So, I cancelled my membership faster than you can say "Merlot."

But before I cancelled, I thought I'd check out their sparkling wine program. I mean, who doesn't love a little bubbly? But when I went to their website, the only way to see the total cost was to join the club. So, I clicked the button and was shocked to see how much they were charging for taxes and shipping. I mean, it was ridiculous! So, I cancelled my membership right then and there.

Imagine my surprise when, three weeks later, a half case of overpriced sparkling wine shows up at my door. I mean, what the heck? I contacted them to let them know they made a mistake, and they told me I could either return the wine at my own expense or be charged a restocking fee. And get this, they were only going to issue me a credit, not a refund. What kind of guarantee is that?

They claim on their website that they have "No Strings, No Commitments." They want you to enjoy your experience, and they know that when you have a great experience, you'll tell your friends and family. But let me tell you, that's a bunch of baloney. This company is a scam, plain and simple. They're using the good names of American Airlines, Hilton, and United Airlines to trick people into thinking they're getting a good deal. But in reality, they're just ripping people off.

So, if you're thinking about signing up for the Vinesse Wine Club, I'd think twice. Save your money and go to your local wine shop instead. You'll get better quality wine at a better price, and you won't have to deal with the headache of trying to cancel your membership.

Vinesse Vinesse Wine Club Review: Sketchy Business Practices and Poor Customer Service

So, I saw this ad for Vinesse and it was all over the place. It was like, "Get 6 bottles of wine for $29.99!" and I was like, "Okay, that sounds like a good deal." I've ordered wine online before, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I used the code they gave me and waited for an email confirmation or something, but nothing ever came. I didn't really think too much of it because the wine showed up, but when I opened it, the corks were all dried out and some of the wine tasted like vinegar. I mean, some of it was okay, but it wasn't anything special. I only paid $3 for each bottle, so I didn't really care.

Then, this month, I saw a charge on my credit card for $135. I was like, "What the heck is this?" So, I called Vinesse and they asked for my member number. I was like, "What member number?" I never got an email about a purchase, shipment, or anything like that. I told them I wanted it cancelled right away, but they said they couldn't refund me the full amount because the wine had already shipped. They also said they couldn't resend any emails with my information, which I thought was pretty sketchy. The operator kept telling me that everything was extremely clear and that I should have known what I was getting into, but I didn't get any emails about it. It was really frustrating.

Overall, I would say that Vinesse is a pretty sketchy company. The ad wasn't clear or transparent, and the people I talked to on the phone were really rude. I did get the cancellation email right away, but I still feel like I should get a full refund. If they can't even email me my initial "signing up email with membership information," then I don't think they're a company I want to do business with.

Vinesse Vinesse Wine Club Review: Overpriced Regular Shipments and Outrageous Tax Rate

I recently signed up for Vinesse's intro offer of 8 bottles for $39.98, which included shipping. The wine arrived promptly and seemed decent enough. However, things took a turn when I received my first regular shipment about a month later. The box contained 3 bottles each of a white and a rose, which are our preference. However, there was no invoice in the box, which struck me as odd. I belong to 4 or 5 other wine clubs, and I always receive either a paper invoice or an emailed one.

I went online to check my account and discovered that I had to contact their Customer Service to set up online account access. Fortunately, that went smoothly. However, I was surprised to find that the total charge for the 6 bottles was $164.39! Their "Club info" page had stated that wine was $17/bottle, while the mailer had stated $16/bottle. Their Shipping Info page stated $30 for a 6-bottle shipment. When I added it all up, I should have been charged $132. So what was the other $32.39? It couldn't just be taxes, right?

I chatted with Customer Service, and after a couple of attempts to run circles around the question, including one offer to downgrade me to their "Mystery Box" club that's less than $100/month, he finally agreed that taxes were $32 - on $102 of wine! That's almost a 32% tax rate, which is more than 2x the tax % I pay through any other wine services. I couldn't believe it and exclaimed, "Holy f*@#ing $#*! Please cancel my membership." He got mad at my choice of language, but he did cancel my membership (and the chat session).

Overall, I would not recommend Vinesse to anyone. The intro offer may seem enticing, but the regular shipments are overpriced, and the tax rate is outrageous. Plus, the lack of an invoice in the box and the need to contact Customer Service to set up online account access are both red flags. Stay far, far away from Vinesse.

Vinesse Disappointing Experience with Vinesse Wine Club: Poor Customer Service and Shipping Policies

I recently signed up for Vinesse after seeing a promotion from United Airlines. I was excited to try out their wine selection and placed an order. However, I was disappointed to find that I did not receive any notification about my order, including shipping dates or my member number. It wasn't until two weeks later that I received an email from FedEx stating that a shipment was being delivered the next day and that I needed to sign for it. Unfortunately, I have a job and cannot be home all day, so this was a major inconvenience.

To make matters worse, my next shipment only showed up as a charge on my credit card. I tried to stop the shipment through their website, but I was unsure if it was successful. Two days ago, I received yet another email from FedEx stating that a shipment was being delivered the next day and that I needed to sign for it. Due to the pandemic, I am currently out of state and cannot be there to receive the shipment. This is a major issue, as I am sure many others are also dealing with.

I tried to contact customer service, but due to the pandemic, no one was available to take my call. I was directed to use the online chat or email support. However, the online chat seemed to be a computer, as the responses were incomplete and took over two minutes to receive. When I asked to suspend shipments during the pandemic, the computer response was that my membership had been cancelled. I have no idea what this means, and now I will have to protest any and all charges, which is a major inconvenience.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Vinesse. While the wines I received were good, the hassle of dealing with their customer service and shipping policies was not worth it. I would much rather go to the store and buy my wine there. I only gave them two stars because of the quality of the wine, but I would not recommend this service to others.

Vinesse Vinesse Wine Club Review: High Costs, Unfamiliar Wines, and No Refunds

So, I decided to give Vinesse a try after seeing their $40 teaser purchase offer. I was excited to try some new wines, but unfortunately, most of the wines in the shipment were unfamiliar to me. I put a hold on all future shipments and went on vacation.

When I returned, I was surprised to find two boxes of wine on my porch that I didn't order. The total cost was $333, and I could have bought most of the wines locally for 25% less. I contacted customer service, and a guy named Kyle helped me out. He was nice enough, but when I asked to send the wine back, he said that they don't offer refunds for returns. However, he did offer a 20% discount if I decided to keep the wine.

I was confused because the website clearly states that they have a satisfaction guarantee and will replace any delivered wine that you are dissatisfied with. But, there's a catch - you have to pay for shipping, which can be expensive. For example, it costs $36 to ship six bottles and $42 to ship nine bottles. So, it's not really free.

I explained to Kyle that I didn't order the wine and had put my account on hold. However, he said that there was no record of that. I wish I had taken a screenshot to prove it.

One box had six bottles, and they charged me $140. I could have bought all of those wines locally for $100. The other box had nine bottles, and they charged me $194. Most of the wines were unfamiliar to me, and I found about half of them locally for $12 a bottle, not $20. The others I couldn't find, but I've learned that there's a reason why I've never heard of most of these wines.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Vinesse. The teaser purchase was decent, but the unexpected shipments and high shipping costs left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again.

Vinesse Poor Customer Service and Hidden Fees: My Experience with Vinesse Wines

So, I gotta tell ya, my experience with Vinesse was not the best. I mean, I thought I was getting a good deal when I made my initial purchase, but then I didn't hear anything from them for like, two whole months! And let me tell you, my wife and I are retired, so we're not always home. When we finally got back from a road trip, we found out that UPS had tried to deliver our wine three times, but we weren't there to sign for it. So they held onto it for a few days and then sent it back to Vinesse. And get this, they charged me $40 for the return delivery and restocking fee! I didn't even know the wine was coming, and I never saw it, but I still got charged for it.

Now, I'm not saying that Vinesse didn't try to contact me. They had my cell phone number, but they never called or texted me during the two weeks we were away. If they had, we could have either had UPS hold onto the wine longer or come back earlier to receive it. But no, they didn't do any of that. When I called them to complain, they told me that the return/restocking fee was in the literature that came with my original purchase. And yeah, they were right, it was there. But come on, I didn't even know the wine was coming!

To make matters worse, when I asked for a refund or credit for the $40 charge, they refused. They offered to send me another six-pack of wine for the same price, but I wasn't interested. I mean, why would I want to give them more money after they already screwed me over? So I disputed the charge with my credit card company, and thankfully, they removed it. But let me tell you, the Vinesse customer service rep was not happy about it. She was determined to get that money from me, even though I never received the wine.

In the end, I cancelled my membership with Vinesse. The only good thing I can say about them is that the wine quality is pretty good. But honestly, the service is just terrible. If you're thinking about buying from them, I'd think twice.

Vinesse Wine customer service guy: rude, didn't care and then I get an email. Scam!

Belowis the email I sent to their "support".

I called your customer service today, as I had cancelled and deleted my account, and was still charged again $30 just on May 10th. I cannot log into my account, because I deleted it when I cancelled it. If I was to keep it and move forward with more orders, I would not have gotten rid of it.

Again, I could not log in, and see anything.

The gentleman I spoke to was terse, and really didn't care when I stated that I knew I had cancelled, because I could not even log in, (deleted account). He just kept repeating that the charge was for the club, and that I was still active. So, I asked to be cancelled, and asked for a refund of my $30. He stated that was not possible. Now, if I wanted to be a good company, and do the right thing, I would have expected a refund. The person I spoke with just did not care. His attitude was less than "customer service oriented".

This evening, I receive the following note:

Dear Debra,
After we spoke to you on 1/5/2021, your American Cellars Wine Club membership with Vinesse was put on delay and was scheduled to resume regular shipments this month.

This email is to notify you that your delay period has ended and regular shipments are now scheduled to resume shortly.

For your reference:

Your Vinesse member number is: [protected]
Your membership is for: American Cellars Wine Club
Your wine preference is: 6 wines, all red
Your delivery address is: 15 ROCKWOOD RD APT A, NORFOLK, MA 02056
Your payment method on file is: Credit card ending in with 3583

Vinesse Customer Service

What is this? I don't even live there any longer. If I was an active member, wouldn't I have changed my address? Now you are sending me wine after I cancelled today? To a vacant house that is for sale. What kind of company is this? This has all of the trappings of scamming people.

I demand you stop my membership, delete my account, email, name, etc from your database. After this, I demand a refund of my $30. I have sent a note to my Attorney General in Massachusetts, Maura Healey to look into your history and will call her office tomorrow morning.

You are running some sort of scam business, and after I read some of the reviews after my initial intro order, I cancelled. I know for certain I cancelled the account. It is even written in my datebook!

I will be calling you Wednesday to confirm that the account is cancelled, and I want to speak to the person who is in charge of customer service.

Run away. There are better clubs out there.

Desired outcome: Refund $30. CANCEL MY ACCOUNT!

Vinesse Introductory offer

I accepted an introductory offer from Vinesse Wines for 6 bottles at $29.99. Several weeks later, I unexpectedly received a second case of 6 for a quintuple of the original price, ($150+). When I called customer service, the agent said in effect, tough titty. He also said I could return the case, but I would have to pay the shipping and a restocking fee, amounting to almost $ 50. I requested to do the customer survey at the end of the call - the survey never came. The company never gave advance notice of the shipment, nor was it ever made clear to me that this was an ongoing membership. It seems to me like a scam: make someone a great offer and without their knowledge ship them unasked for product at five times the price of the original and let them figure it out. Totally unethical.

Vinesse A little over two weeks ago i canceled the club. Guess what, i received another shipment. shno

Received the 6 bottles. The flyer said (Enjoy 6 World Class Wines for only $29.99 ). I ended up paying $ 148.31 on Feb 26, 2020. Sent a check for the $ 29.99. Must have used the numbers on my ckeck for the $148.31 withdraw. Then on March 16, 2020 had another withdraw for another $148.31 for another shipment i received. On March 27, 2020 FedEx tryed to deliver a third shipment . I refused the shipment . I never authorized the two payments or signed anything so automatic withdraws could be made.

Vinesse Do not use

I think it was a coincidence, but it happened both to me and one friend of mine, only in different time. But the situations were similar. I and he ordered once from Vinesse, and we canceled the second order via email. The emails were ignored and they sent us wine.
But unlike my friend, I decided to return it. I was said that it would be at my expense and it wouldn't be refunded. Isn't it a scam?

Vinesse Rip off

I regret I used their free trial period as I was a little late and forgot to cancel it on time. They warned me that if I don't do it, I will have to pay in full. I don't know what I was thinking.
So I called them to cancel the trial and refused to do it claiming I was late and had to pay all the money. Unfortunately, initially they didn't tell me how much exactly I should pay, but when I found out I thought I would fall into a faint. About 150 dollars!
They didn't need my permission, so they charged me before I called them. I just noticed it too late.
Another online scam using the wine club name.

Vinesse Shipped without notice!

I have ordered some wine from Vinesse and was pretty satisfied with my purchase. But then, about a month later I received a message stating they shipped me another order and that I was charged both for shipping and wine. I immediately called customer service, but no one ever picked up the phone and there is no way to cancel anything without calling! They did that without my permission, so I basically lost over $100! Scam!

Vinesse I was automatically charged for products that I have never ordered!

I have ordered several bottles of wine from www.vinesse.com and my order was delivered via UPS. So I received my bottles and forgot about this site. But then, several weeks later, I received two more cases of wine and was automatically charged! I never ordered those two cases! I immediately contacted customer service and demanded my money back. They said that they can refund me only 15%! Absolutely terrible and dishonest company! Never wanted to waste so much money on wine!

Vinesse This is scam company

I purchased two bottles of wine from Vinesse in the past. Month later I received more bottles which I never ordered! And they also charged over $100! When I made my first order I had no idea that I would be automatically subscribed. I never expected to get the same wines over and over. I was told the wines would all be different. I would never pay this much for wines! I ordered wine for a special event, and I don't need it anymore! Seriously I am really disappointed with this company. That is actually illegal, I will contact my credit card company and I hope they'll think of something.

Vinesse Don't use this company!

These people are thieves and liars. They are completely dishonest in what they advertise, ship and charge. I ordered several bottles of wine from Vinesse in a total amount of $50. But then I checked my credit card statement and realized they've charged $130 from my card! I contacted their customer service and was told that there will be no refunds. No one actually helped me! Two months later they charged me again for who knows what. I called Vinesse and was told that I was charged for some auto ship! I tried to get help, but these guys really don't care. I'm so disgusted with Vinesse! Never again!
