I love Vinted and 99.9% of the time, they are brilliant.
However… I bought a pair of children Doc Martin boots on Vinted and had them posted via Inpost. They “arrived” at the Inpost locker on the 13th July. When I opened the locker, I could clearly see they were not boots as the parcel was flat. I immediately rang Inpost (via the number on the locker) and the woman I spoke to confirmed that the reference on the parcel matched my collection reference email. I advised her that it certainly wasn’t a pair of boots and she said I had to contact Vinted and the seller. I did both of these. Vinted said I needed to open the parcel to see what was inside. It was a pair of women’s shorts. I spoke to the seller and she said that she didn’t have a pair of shorts to sell, so didn’t put the wrong label on. In fact, she just took the boots I had bought to the shop, they stuck a barcode on it and that was that.
What happens next, is Inpost/evri come and add a label on top of that barcode. They must have put the wrong label onto the wrong parcel.
Vinted asked me to peel back the label so that they can see the barcode.
It’s now been over a month and they just keep telling me to be patient. They are waiting for Inpost to investigate.
It’s ridiculous. I am out of money and don’t have the boots and the seller has no money and no boots either. I have asked them on many an occasion what the timeline is for them to wait for Inpost to get back to them so they can then tell me, but they just won’t answer me that and keep telling me to be patient.
What patience I did have had long gone. It’s been almost 6 weeks now and I just want an answer. I know I’ll not get those boots, but I’d quite like my money back.
Desired outcome: I’d like a refund for the boots and the postage and I would like the seller to get a refund for the lost boots too.
I am literally dealing with the exact same issue. I had ordered a pair of joggers for my 14 year old son, and instead I received some baby Adidas shoes, so inpost must have mixed up the barcodes. I reported it to Vinted immediately and this was over 5 weeks ago now, and the only responses I'm getting are these scripted robotic pleasantries but no attempt to resolve my situation or refund me the money. It's putting me off using Vinted again.
