Lost package / loss of sale
I sold a bundle of clothing and jeweLet, a total of 11 items, the package starting tracking and was out for delivery but never delivered. It was considered lost so I reported it Vinted. They refunded the buyer and told me to follow up with the post office. To file a claim with the post office you need the buyers name and address, I didn't have that information. The buyer was no longer active on Vinted and Vinted customer service refused to give me that information. Vinted's terms and conditions stats "in the case of a lost package, contact us and we will compensate you up to $100". When I asked Vinted customer service why I was not being compensated they said " Please note that we are obliged to follow our process in such a situation and, as mentioned previously, are not able to offer you any compensation.
Unfortunately, this has to be our final decision. If you have questions or concerns regarding a different matter, please open a new inquiry, and we'll help you out."
I'm shocked that they are denying to honor their own policies, not protecting their buyers and not caring that I lost 11 items all for nothing. Shame on them. It's illegal to not follow your written practices promising to protect your users. Sellers and buyers beware. Total loss: $40 USD.
Desired outcome: Compensated for the $40 of lost merchandise.
Buyer claims fake product and money is returned without verification
Buyer cgs1 claimed on the 18th December unfairly that product ¨grey gloves Michael Kors¨were fake, Vinted refunded the money without considering all proved of ticket, receipts, etc provided by seller ( msg-bcnams). With that seller loses not only the product but also the money.
Unethical Practices by Vinted brings Investigation by European Data Protection Authorities
After Vinted blocked my account for no reason and stole my money I looked into the company. This company is a LIthuanian company. In May 2021 there was a class action lawsuit in Europe against this company. We in the USA were not aware of this class action lawsuit. On Dec 10 2021, the European Data Protection Authorities have formed a committee to investigate the thousands of complaints they have received which will include the following:
1. website operator's requirement to upload a scan of the user's identity card in order to unblock funds received from sales on the corresponding account and the relevant legal basis,
2. procedure and criteria for blocking the user's account
3. applicable data retention periods.

I do not now how to add our complaints to the European investigation, but if I ever find out, I will post it.

Buyers refund
I sold a coat for £20, the buyer didn't like it so I agreed for them to return the coat to me. I never received the coat and there is no proof of postage. Vinted refunded the buyer the £20 and said I had agreed with this! I've asked on 3 occasions for proof of me agreeing and they haven't been able to show this. My complaint is I have no coat and no money. Help please

Seller turk1234 listed Primamulticoloured top. Size 6. I clicked on the item to buy it but the seller said she hadn't sent it and so Vinted UK sent me to the Refund Page. I did not want a refund. I wanted to pay so I told the seller that she had actually sent me the item. How could I pay because the Refund Page had nowhere on it to make a payment? However I was not told how to pay. I was blocked. I keep trying to write to Vinted UK but all messages are blocked.How on earth am I expected to pay? I have bought numerous items from this site and everyone else is very happy with me but my hands are tied! I won't be able to use this site again!
Blocking my account incorrectly
My account was blocked and was advised that Vinted's investigation team found the item to be counterfeit. They can not explain the process but still blocked my account. I was told to resend pictures of serial numbers, tags, boxes, full pictures which I did and still the same result and they could not tell me the reason due to exposing internal process

They kept getting it wrong by telling me to ask the buyer for £15 back when it's meant to be £25! Then they kept apologising. They couldn't be bothered to read through the previous messages before another advisor messaged me. This is a complete joke!

Tennis shoes
I bought a tennis shoes that never arrived, the seller even produced a fake shipment ticket via DHL, I was tracking constantly and nothing has been delivered. I enquired Vinted that gave stupid justifications and suggest me to contact the police. This is clear fraud both from the seller and from Vinted, which clealy it is NOT a realible website. I highly recommend NOT to buy via VINTED there is no guarantee of our consumer rights! it is a shame!

I have unused account on vinted and when I have tried to delete my account the site have demanded me to insert my phone number and when i've contacted vinted on email they have demanded: — · A photo/screenshot of the previous Vinted charge(s) on your bank statement.
· Proof of address: it can be a no more than 3 month old household utility bill showing your name and current address (e.g. gas, electric, water, fixed line telephone but not a mobile phone bill), or a photo/screenshot of your bank statement where your billing address is visible.
· Photo of the credit card used for purchases on Vinted. The photo will need to show the last 4 digits and the expiration date. — they are trying to collect as much important personal data as they can even for allowing you to leave, (if they really did), so what a kind of privacy policy is this!
You sell something then they block you and steal your money
BEWARE ! The old vinted is not the New Vinted. Vinted is now waiting until you sell something, once the item is paid for, they will block you so you can not withdraw your money, shut off all means of communication so you can not complain and essentially STEAL your money. They should be investigated for fraud, prosecuted for theft and shut down! Read the other complaints. They say the same thing! They are a scam of the worst kind.

vinted sales refunds etc
i sold an item on vinted. vinted sent me a packaging label. i posted the item on a tracked delivery which was tracked as being delivered to the buyer. the buyer posted a positive review on vinted. then vinted informed me the seller has not had the item so have refunded her and will not be paying me for my item. i have sent proof of postage tracking and they can see the positive feedback from the buyer but refuse to pay me for the item. i feel they are calling me a liar when i have sent them all proof required.

Vinted doesn't react to my compliant and gives non-human replies
In November 2021 I received a pants that I bought that was categorised as slim fit jeans. I used the English web version on Firefox.
I received the pants, noticed it was a regular fit and contacted the seller that a mistake was made.
The seller replied in Dutch and told me that he classified the pants as a straight fit in Dutch on the app of his smartphone.
So while the money was still in escrow I decided to contact Vinted support in through a contact form on their website and told them about the issue with the item listing in Dutch.
I get an English reply which doesn't acknowledge anything about what I told them but asks for proof of the wrong shipment: photographs.
I reiterate my case in English and do not send photos.
The next day they again reply with a standardised text a tell me to send the pants back, so they proceeded with the return process without acknowledging anything that I told them, it looks like I'm talking to a machine.
The thing that is unacceptable is that they have setup a system that has no room for anything except their processes which are meticulously and terms-of-service-wise crafted so they take no responsibility at all:
- you cannot contact them for anything outside their system, no email, no phone, no ombudsman
- you have 48 hours to comply or money is released
- you press a wrong button, money is released
- you report a user that won't return your money, standard response is to ask nicely to get your money back
- your conversations disappear after a while, your evidence is gone
- you are treated by a robot and you cannot talk to anybody real
- you get the exact conversations over and over again for each issue you encounter and you can only follow procedure.
Desired outcome: Refund, acknowledgement of mistake and change of platform software is requestedd.
Not replying to messages about a lost parcel
I have informed vinted about a lost parcel that i posted on 15th November and they not replying to me about compensate as the item was worth 45 pounds. I have proof of messages and tracking information as well, they just leave automatic replies and not get back to me i tried to 4 times to get a reply from them, the parcel was size 3 boots worth 45 pounds.

Vinted informed me I had sold a garment. I contacted the buyer, sent the garment which he has received. Vinted keep requesting me to put the receipt of posting onto the shipping information. I find it impossible to scan and insert an image of the receipt as I use Laptops and do not have a smartphone.
All I need is the money as the buyer is very satisfied. I find the design of this website difficult to navigate and no-one available to answer queries.

I was SCAMMED!
This buyer has stolen my galaxy watch and sent me a photo of an empty box. That box Was NOT empty and can be proven by looking at the weight of the item I sent. Surely Hermes have a way of proving this?
The buyer has now received a refund, so he has a free watch! and I have NOTHING. How is that fair? That's MY money! It was my birthday present from my other half, I only sold it as I wanted a Fitbit instead, now I have nothing. It just doesn't sit right with me and I can't let it go until I get justice. I'll keep on at this until I get my money back. I'll be the itch that won't be scratched, I don't give up on what's right!
I did find it odd that he 'supposedly' received an empty box. if Hermes were going to steal it, they'd just steal the whole thing and mark it as lost, wouldn't theym They wouldn't steal it and continue to send on an empty box. This is obvious it was a scam and I'm absolutely gutted that this happened to me. This has happened to me, I posted an item in immaculate condition, the buyer decided they did not want it so damaged it to get a refund, Vinted made her send it back , I received the item back even more ripped and damaged than the buyer stated and vinted gave her a full refund, the women then messaged me saying if id have let her keep it she would have paid me a little back, in other words she was a scammer after a freebie.

My friend put my jumper on Vinted in September which sold quickly for £10 The payment was remitted to Vinted.
They sent the money on with incorrect reference. They put Vinted.
As the payment went through a clearing bank it was returned to them.
We have sent numerous emails Forwarded a copy of the Saffron Walden Building book showing no transaction taken place during September when money should have been paid.

I write to you, as I am bitterly disappointed with the customer service, I have received from yourselves.
I have written many messages and the person is refusing to want to assist me in receiving compensation for two items that have gone missing! Hermes have redirected the enquiry to Vinted and the person in vinted is refusing to assist in resolving the issue.
I sold two items on vinted that amount to £35 of which, no fault of my own, have not been received by the buyer.
Ultimately, I have received negative feedback and a loss of income. Please see message trail below.
I would like to be compensated not only for the above but also for the lack of support from your administrators!

As a result not only have I experienced a loss of money but I have also received negative feedback and require compensation! I have tried ringing several times through to Hermes and using this automated system/chat and I am not getting anywhere! The two parcels are as follows: (1) P8385051/3400608509116924 and; (2) P8226680/H001AA0026292734. They have since sent an email saying that you need to get in touch with Hermes directy.
