Seller sent a fake postage note and said if I had issues I would need to make everything as fine
Purchased a vr set
Never received so notified seller and Vinted. Having being new to Vinted and never had any issues before I followed the sellers instructions as instructed by Vinted. They said I would need to close that sale by marking everything as ok to raise a complaint.
They never posted item postage note is a fake as confirmed by Royal Mail. I contacted Vinted again to be given the same message. I’m a single mother of 4 so did what I thought was my only option and asked my bank for a payment recal.
They didn that but now Vinted are saying I did that fraudulently.
I never received the item, nor the payment protection that Vinted say they put on every transaction.
Desired outcome: To drop the case and notify my bank that the refund/ recall was right
Product I ordered
I ordered a pair of trainers nearly 3 weeks ago and still have not arrived they are not listed now I have tried to contact the owner to say I haven’t received them I have filed a complaint with yourselves to say I haven’t received them it was the first product I’d ordered from yourselves never used your company before ! Since then I’ve ordered a pair of boots and they came within four days but the trainers I’m still waiting for could you look into this and let me know what’s happened if they’re still on their way or they weren’t genuine!
Label mix up
I received an expensive item from a seller on vinted (I had recently purchased a small second hand child’s coat from them). When I contacted the seller they knew nothing about it and were concerned that their address had appeared on the parcel. By communicating with each other, the seller and I realised that there must have been an error/mix up in Vinted’s label printing and they had incorrectly put mine and the sellers details on a postage label that was nothing to do with us. This was an alarming data protection breach and also I have no way of returning this expensive item I have received because I have no way of knowing who it was actually intended for. When I contacted vinted to try and rectify the issue they were absolutely useless and didn’t understand or acknowledge what my issue was.
Desired outcome: I would like vinted to take steps to make sure this kind of data breach/mix up does not happen again and to tell me where I should send this item that I did not order.
My items for sale
Hi,
I have had many items deleted since joining Vinted. I always try to adhere to the Vinted rules, But because I'm relatively new and until recently have had difficulty running this account due to health problem that adversely affects my concentration. I have listed some items not permitted but have not deliberately relisted them or any other items I believed not to be allowed, once I received a notice of deletion, or when I become aware of any mistakes I make however, I am getting increasingly frustrated when legitimate items are listed and then deleted which has also happened.
Please see the most recent item below that you have deleted, can you explain why you deleted this. They are a pair of new tiebacks for curtains?
Hello kathbell63,
We have reason to believe that your listing(s) contain items which are not allowed on Vinted, as noted in our Catalogue Rules.
As a result, we have to delete the following listing(s):

Blocked from account
I have been using Vinted for about a month now. Have made a few sales and purchases. Have currently c.£40 in my account after a recent sale. Straight after this sale, I found I suddenly couldn’t access my Vinted account. I tried reaching out to them numerous times, and also tried resetting password but was not receiving any incoming password reset links.
I then emailed saying I would escalate the problem. Someone got in touch shortly after to say they needed bank information, my full address, full card details inc exp code etc. and ID. I was not happy to disclose this info. So when questioned why they would need this if all I wanted was a password reset linked send to the email address they were already corresponding to me with. They said they need that information to be able to help any further. They would not give me any info on why my account had been restricted. And are now saying they need this in 48hrs or will close this case. They ended their email with these words. ‘I’m counting on your cooperation’.
Gives me the creeps and I just need my money and will close this platform down.
I also have other items listed which people are showing interest in and hopefully won’t go on to buy because I am unable to access to sell!
Desired outcome: Send password reset link so I can gain access to account and withdraw my money
Closet
I’ve been selling on Vinted for years. And boy do I hate if I have an issue because it’s hard explaining the problem. Recently I am unable to see my closet! I can’t upload items or make edits. It’s been nearly 48 hours since my initial reach out. I was told it would handed over to tech, but I haven’t heard anything! With no email or phone number to call, customer service is really slacking!
Desired outcome: Periodic check ins would be nice, so that we aren’t left wondering about our issue.
Vinted cancelled order
I made a purchase of a very expensive designer bag that cost £378.
It was sent to me and received on 3/11/2022, which I confirmed on the Vinted site. the money was taken from my account.
I have now been sent an email from Vinted stating the item was not received and the order is cancelled with money being refunded on the 16th November. 2022.
Obviously the seller is very upset and wants me to pay a further £378.
Please can you resolve this matter
Thank you
Desired outcome: Reinstate the order, cancel the refund and pay the seller.
No answers from sellers
Hi, I downloaded the app a few days ago and I keep sending messages to people asking them for more details, but I either stay on delivered or on seen automatically. Or they reply once and I answer in a second and they're gone forever
I thought I just creeper people out but I texted some of then on Instagram and they said they answered me. I also paid for a booster but I didn't get a single view, nothing. My account seems like it doesn't exist. Is it normal?
Lacking (greatly!) in any customer service
There is no customer service department at this company.
If you have any questions or issues, they simply send auto generated standard replies, which leaves you with no resolution, you just have to accept that they wont help and you cant do anything about it. There is no phone number, no direct email, chat facility is automated robots repeating themselves.
I have genuine questions about bulk uploads and bulk edits, and about what their moderator policy is for listing photographs and listing descriptions. All of my humble 60 listings were listed in the same fashion, yet some were 'moderated' and hidden with a email to change a particular photo/detail and others seemingly the same, were just deleted... effectively deleted 2 days of my work.
There is no answer, just an automated apology. With 1200+ people seemingly work for Milda Mitkute, Justas Janauskas, Thomas Plantenga and Mantas Mikuckas, yet there is zero customer service. This is a big company that has been running for many years, yet there is still so much they have to learn judging by the avoidance of complaints and 250 complaints unresolved just on this portal alone. Good book: 'Hug Your Haters' by Jay Baer is my suggested read for the directors.
Desired outcome: Offer a proper complaints channel with real solutions
Selling
Sold a item. Packed and shipped by Royal Mail Tracking . Item delivered buyer was not home. Card left. I contacted buyer to say item delivered and he needs to go collect or call to have item redelivered. Buyer did not do either . Item returned to Royal Mail Returns office. Because I did not have a returns address I was informed item would be disposed.
I have made numerous attempts and written to Vinted and have had no response or payment from them for my item.
I did everything above and beyond the call of duty. And now I am out of pocket by £29.45 .
Desired outcome: Pay me my £29.45 and ban buyer from ever using Vinted or any other platform.
Lamp shade
I’m fuming with Vinted! I sold
Something sent it off and they received it yet the tracking never updated but they received my sold item yet they cancelled the order and refunded the money to her! Now I’m out of pocket £10 and an item as they have told me they received my item! Never heard back from Vinted! Luckily the woman who brought the item has been very help ful!
Desired outcome: My money back!!
Item sold
Item arrived to buyer even showed vinted the confirmation had been delivered yet they refunded the buyer and then they said oh sorry we shouldn’t have refunded them but it’s too late we’ve already done it. The buyer then wouldn’t pay the money to me and vinted refused to issue me a payment . The chased the buyer they left vinted and vinted said they have blocked their account just in case want to buy in the future really awful service
Desired outcome: Refund
Payment not paid to seller's bank account
I like to report Vinted's payment has not reached to my bank account. I sold my product in on Sept. 29. I withdraw the money on Oct. 13, but the money never arrived in my bank. I reported it to Vinted customer service, and they asked me to provided my bank transaction details. I did, and they asked me to waited for few more days. But, no money in. Then, i reported it again, and their customer service asked me to get my bank's statement with bank signature to claim not receiving $$. I found it ridiculous as i provided my bank transaction details. It's not a big amount (only 42€), but i felt being cheated. Something is not right in their accounting team. They did not trust customers and asked more difficult task without giving solutions. Please think over it before you use their services.
Fraud
Hi, Ceo Vinted
I need your help urgently before I report your company to standard of fair trading. This is my first time of using vinted. I sold an item. Sent it to the person who purchased it, then when it arrived she said it leaked. When I sent, the item it was in perfect condition. Can you please check if this is a regular occurrence with this buyer please? As I’m not convinced it leaked.
The person's account name is isabella90824
I took my time setting up my account with your company, genuine person, I do not sell rubbish. I think something is a miss here, as the item was in perfect condition. Is it common that buying customer make out something is damaged or make it look damaged so they don’t have to pay?
It was only £5 I am not that desperate for money. But I will not use fraud company that have fraud buyers. Do you understand?
Please look into this urgently, as I will not let this rest and be made a bug of.
I will never use your company again and will warn others.
I refunded her because I didn’t want her knowing my address. Fraud people are not nice people.
I want the £5 plus petrol money taking it 14 miles to drop off point and the wrapping and time sending it. £50 should cover the cost please asap.
I’m not leaving it, so ignore me, I will report it as a crime. When you steal of someone, it’s classed as theft. So £50 compensation.
How dare you, how bloody dare you treat me like an idiot.
From karen dempster
Desired outcome: £50 compensation and remove that fraud buyer do she doesn’t do this to anyone else
Scammed but refund not given
My name is Victoria I was scammed by this seller (Bellabbyx) I made a purchase of £50.54 on 17/10/22 for a Gucci belt. I have raised this issue with Vinted but they’ve refused to give me my money back, quoting policy says I didn’t raise an issue within 2 days of the item being delivered so there is nothing they can do but the item was not delivered to me and I didn’t even confirm the order so how would I know to raise an issue within 2 days. The seller also didn’t provide me with a tracking number.
Desired outcome: Please refund
Item never returned and payment not received
I would like to complain about the service I was received from vinted. I am absolutely appalled by the lack of help and effort vinted have put into with my issue.
I recently sold a pair of louboutin heels for £65 (very well priced to sell) which the buyer did not believe they were real once received. I can confirm that they are authentic but to save back and forth I agreed to refund the buyer and the buyer to return the shoes, there is a chat history between me and the buyer. The buyer confirmed she was happy to return the shoes. unfortunately vinted have no immediate option to arrange for a return, but only a refund… as I had never done a return for a buyer before, I assumed by clicking on the refund option, this would then direct me to the returns section which it did not. Shortly after the buyer got a refund and I remain without my shoes even after explaining to the buyer what happened. The buyer has now got an authentic pair of shoes for FREE. I then follow up a number of times with vinted and the buyer, and they are not prepared to take any responsibility. They send an automated response with no option to even resolve the matter.
I am absolutely appalled.
Desired outcome: Please refund me £65.
Blocking
My account was blocked on vinted on Sunday 20th October for selling something replica/counterfeit - the item was not replica/counterfeit and I have not been given any reasonable option to prove this. I literally only used the app for around 2 months, didn't get chance to successfully buy anything - an item I did buy never turned up so I had to cancel and get my money back - this is the first item I tried to sell and I don't understand why I can't now even buy! I don't care about selling anything!
Desired outcome: Unblocking
Poor Service and lack of response
I never received my item. The buyer confirmed they had sent with a first class stamp only (this was inadequate postage for the item) - she sent me a photo of the package. She never got a receipt of posting so I am not sure she even mailed it. She has been paid ! I require a refund please - this is wholly unacceptable. She is unwilling to refund
Please escalate
Desired outcome: Refund total amount £5.48
Item not refunded
Received a coat costing over £100 that was SNAD. Item was 2 sizes smaller than stated and clearly used even though sold as NWOT. Item was returned and all proof sent to Vinted in the chat, including tracking number and proof of delivery. Vinted have released the payment to the seller and are not responding to my messages. Seller has been very difficult and is now stating she cannot refund. I am at my wits end at having to pay for shipping both ways and protection fees when I would not have purchased to begin with if it had been sold with an accurate listing. It feels like the seller is being treated as the victim in this whole situation. How do I take this further? Isn’t theft a police matter?
Desired outcome: Refund asap. I feel that shipping should also be charged back to the seller for false advertising.
