Service
I purchased a bag from a seller on Vinted on the 11th Oct which has not arrived.
I contacted Vinted on the 15th Oct to advise the UPS site stated that there was a problem with delivery.
Vinted contacted me on the 21st to advise me to wait another 6days for the order to state or has been delivered and then I would have 2 days to request a refund.
Today I received a message stating the order is suspended, no doubt Vinted will take another week to contact me but Vinted have £330 which I paid for this bag.
Seller has contacted me twice in the last 2 weeks!
Desired outcome: I want my money refunded ASAP
Service
I’ve had issues with Vinted and it takes 1 week to get a reply? Not the first time I’ve had issues with the company. Happy to make money from buyers of my stuff yet I have to keep chasing my money and you do nothing about it. Absolutely furious. I’ve uploaded proof of postage and delivery and it got delivered ages ago just the person hasn’t updated vinted. Staff don’t have a clue to do their jobs. You need to be reported to trading standards.
Desired outcome: A phone call so I can talk to someone and make a proper complaint about crap staff not doing what they are paid for. And compensation for my wasted time.
Definitively Blocked without reason
I set up a Vinted account and listed a pair of Prada loafers with the box, barcode and Bond Street store bag etc. The only thing I hadn’t uploaded yet was the picture of the receipt.
Within 5 minutes I got an email saying my account had been definitively blocked for selling suspected counterfeit items.
I contacted Vinted with evidence of the purchase, the receipt and bank statement to get my account reinstated but never received a reply to any message.
6 months later I set up a new account to purchase a trench coat and got an email saying this account had been definitively blocked for having multiple accounts.
So, I’ve never been able to buy or sell a single thing on Vinted, never did anything wrong or counterfeit, or received any warning before it happened but am permanently blocked from the site and even browsing the app.
And the company state there is no way to overturn these decisions, speak to a human or ever receive a response.
What kind of business is this?
I’m beyond upset that this kind of business model is legally allowed to operate and can’t help but think there must be many other people like me who have no recourse for being illegally blocked from a site for something they do and essentially black listed by an algorithm.
Desired outcome: A human response from Vinted and acknowledgement that the single item I tried to post was 100% authentic based on the actual evidence that it was.
It is also my experience that there is no way to contact Vinted support when they remove items from your wardrobe or block your account. A professional business would include basic functionality as to be able to reply to these messages and have a communication channel that works both ways.
Payment taken even though myself and the seller both said I hadn't recieved it
Hi. I bought an item off a seller but a few days later, recieved a different item in the post which I had not ordered and she had not sent. By process of elimination I managed to work out where the mix up had happened and contacted the seller. She messaged vinted to say the locker system must have mixed up some parcels and therefore I haven't recieved her actual parcel. As I didn't reply to a message within 24 hours because i was ill and not on my phone, vinted approved the transaction even though both parties had said that I hadn't recieved anything. Once I got back in touch, 2 days later, I was basically told tough
Desired outcome: Refund plesse and the seller is willing to do this too as she has been lovely and understanding
Service, Customer service, Attitude, Process - All bios
I am compelled to raise a complaint on Vinted about the recent experience where me and buyer who after the initiating the sale could not agree on things but the to my drawback I had nothing as the item was with the buyer and money with Vinted.
Vinted decided to return the money to the buyer without ensuring my item is back with me which is appalling as a process and to me it is bias towards the buyer.
So, now I have neither and have decided to share the experience to make general awareness and raise a complaint on Vinted.
I do not blame buyer as it is ok to agree to disagree but like buyer's interest was secured I was expecting a similar treatment but hey only if the world was an ideal place.
Desired outcome: I expect the item back or the money.
I have experienced the same thing. Despite the buyer receiving the item well over a week before Vinted cancelled the sale, they have kept my money. This must be illegal as they have not checked any of the facts/messages/proof. It has really put me off selling via the site, as they do not seem to care. The buyer agrees this process is unfair, but unable to do anything. I would like some ideas reference the best course of action. Thanks
Refund policy
I listed an item and chose small parcel. The buyer ignored my postage listing and opted for a large letter. This meant I had to post the item and they would reimburse me. I posted it at large letter as that’s what they paid for. Typically it was insufficient postage so she refused to pay the difference and collect from sorting office. Vinted refunded her and now I don’t have the item back and I’m out of pocket postage wise- how is that fair? They should have atleast paid me the postage?
Desired outcome: My postage refunded
Vinted customer service - Failed authorisation of cards
As both a buyer and seller on vinted with a credit balance on my account can no longer purchase anything at all as the card details can not be updated. The reason is failed authorisation - this is a problem with vinted and there payment platform no resolution and upon further investigation it has been around for 18 months or longer. No accountability or resolution fobbed off with the same please be patient we will be in touch in 48 hours, no reply then you follow it up to receive a 5 day time period then a 72 hour period. There is no investigation or resolution they are fraudulent and are not accountable. Unfair to all buyers and sellers!
Desired outcome: Would like to be able to purchase the three items I have committed to and to receive the money from the sales I have made.
Service
on 9/29/2022 a purchase was made for a coach handbag for 10.00. After the package was received, I read the feedback. The buyer stated she had received the wrong bag. But she stated she would keep it. I contacted her and requested her to return the bag, if she was not satisfied. Also stated the bag was the same one pictured. I also, requested her to send pictures of the bag. Later is received the pictures of what i had posted. Never, getting pictures of the bag, she claimed i had sent. I blocked her, when i saw, she was not agreeable. Like saying you do not know when you are messing with. Later, she contacted me again, this time with a different username. This time i was called a [censored], I blocked her again. I contacted customer service at vinted. I was told this Secord user was not violation of policy. Amazing, so harassment, threats and other unprofessional actions, are find with vinted. Now, i understand how they are. No action. Office in Luthuania. Beware
Desired outcome: Change in their policy.
I bought cute little vans sneakers for my son. I get sneakers with two different sizes. Seller apologizes and ask me to send the sneakers back
Result: I have paid shipment to me, I have paid shipment back. Seller has no damages and I do.
If this is the way Vinted works it sucks.
Incorrect Item Recieved
I ordered two tops from a seller as a bundle. When they arrived, one of the tops was not what I ordered so I contacted her to let her know she had sent the wrong top and attached pictures of the top I had received. She said I could return it for a refund but as it was bought as bundle I would have to return the other top too. I then get told I have to stump up the postage! Further more she lives in Scotland ( i am in Manchester). I complained to Vinted explaining I should not have to do this as this is not my error and so the onus should be on either the seller or Vinted as I paid a buyers protection fee. The seller declined to pay for the postage as Vinted said it is up to me! As I refused to do this, Vinted have since transferred the money to the seller so I am now also out of pocket. I am absolutely amazed that someone is allowed to advertise an item and send the wrong item out and get away with it. I wish to make a formal complaint and I would like to outcome to be that I get a refund and for this situation not to happen again to anyone else.
Desired outcome: Refund and for it not to happen to anyone else.
Produce not received
I recently sold an item on Vinted with custom shipping. I have used the same custom shipping for 3 other Vinted transactions plus other things. The person did not receive the item. They were very (almost too understanding) so I am now a bit suspicious that they did receive the item. Regardless, I found something saying I would be able to receive compensation as the seller. The buyer contacted Vinted so I got a message to say I needed to respond in 48 hours. So I contacted Vinted about this and showed them the information about the seller also receiving a refund, and was told I needed to wait, then told again I needed to wait another 9 days (from a total of 21 days) to intervene. I then got another message saying I needed to get in contact with Vinted and I got another message saying it was being looked into. Eventually I got messages saying that I wouldn't be refunded because it was custom shipping. I am very disappointed to say the least as on more than 2 occasions I was giving false hope about getting a refund, being told to just wait. I was even told if I had proof of the shipping receipt I could get a refund. Why was I given the wrong information by 2 customer agents, and automated messages? I feel very disappointed with Vinted, and would be grateful if as a gesture of goodwill that this has taken 26 days, of back and forth, if the money was refunded to me, as I have wasted my time trying to discuss this with Vinted and the buyer, plus the shoes and money!
Desired outcome: Refund
Jumper - lost by courier
The courier lost my parcel and Vinted will not support me with my lost item. Claim that because the item was not delivered (which of course it wouldn't as it is lost!) I need to wait to receive it back?! LIKE WHAT?! My buyer luckily got their money back however they will not offer compensation. Disgusting behaviour, I couldn't believe it.
I have spoke to them about 3 times and they always say "Well your order is now cancelled so because of the limitations in our system we cannot help you!" This is unnaceptable.
Vinted buyer
I bought a used smart watch from a buyer on the 09/09/2022. The seller shipped the item to me on the 11/09/2022. I was able to track the item right till it was delivered on the 15/09/2022. When it arrived it was a small flat package which immediately raised my suspicion, when opened there was only a flat piece of cardboard inside. I immediately raised an issue with Vinted and sent photographs, I also messaged the seller as advised in Vinted complaints policy. I asked the seller for a refund as there was nothing inside the parcel almost immediately the screen on my phone flickered and the item was suddenly marked as received on the Vinted message thread. I did not press anything on the screen to do this. Vinted later messaged me to say there was nothing they could do as I had marked this item as received which I told them I certainly had not. Why on earth would I do this when I had contacted them and sent photos of an empty package.
Desired outcome: I would like my money back-£62.58
Vinted shipping and not receiving payment for item
I had sold an item on Vinted who sent me a shipping label to use and told me the shipping provider which was Evri. The item was sent on the 5th of September where I had shipping proof however I was not aware that evris tracking process was not working and tracking was therefore not updating. When looking at the tracking it wasn’t updated but stated to come back in 48 hirs and recheck which I did and it wasn’t. I marked the item as shipped and informed the buyer and raised a support call. The buyer said they would check the local parcel shop and confirmed the parcel was received which I sent to Vinted however the transaction was cancelled. After 4 days due to no tracking info. They have not offered any assistance in how I get the money and have refunded the buyer even though I have sent all requested Information to them and will not explain how I get my money given the item was sent in good faith and the buyer received it (the buyer has confirmed this in writing) I have a copy of all correspondence with buyer and Vinted they have advised me to repost but I don’t get how I stop others buying the item someone already has?
Even though I have asked to make a complaint and asked for this to be investigated they have stated it is protocol which makes no sense as this was caused by an error In their systems?
I had asked for this order to be suspended so this didn’t happen but they take so long in getting back to you. They appear to be a fraudulent company with no support processes to resolve issues they have caused out of my control.
Desired outcome: Compensation for money lost and time spent trying to sort this
hi kirsty did you ever get a outcome? I'm going through the same thing now with them, it's terrible they should be shut down X
My account was blocked
My account was blocked due to not following there rules which I did I had all good reviews with no issues . They’ve blocked my account I can’t access my funds of over £100 I received an item with period stains in won’t allow me to report this to the seller . Another item I brought was lost and Vinted didn’t allow me to claim my refund so now lost out on money and Vinted are useless not responding !
Desired outcome: Unblock my account and give me my money back !!!
Vinted
I sent off 2 parcels on 23.5.22, both buyers received items on 25.8.22. I informed Vinted that I sent these off but they cancelled them both and refunded the buyers who have the items as I was unable to use certain shipping labels. They are now refusing to give me MY money back as the buyers won’t buy again. I have them the tracking number which they claim is different. The one buyer has already told me she received the item but had an email saying it wasn’t sent.
Tracking number was P5544657.
I will NEVER use Vinted again.
Desired outcome: I want the money I am owed for the items I sold
I am having exactly the same problem!
Nike trainers I sold on vinted
I sold a pair of toddler nike trainers on Vinted for £8 they are currently retailing at over £30 they was clean (few marks) but nothing in comparison to what state they are in now. The lady wanted a refund, I was not happy about this as in the condition they are now in I would not be able to re sell, I sent pictures of the condition the shoes was sent in to Vinted and explained the situation they have said she is in her right for a refund. They clearly have not investigated on both ends only on the buyers end which is not fair for sellers rights. From what I can make of it this woman decided she did not want these trainers anymore or she bought the wrong size and realised the only way she could get a refund would be to say they was not what she was expecting and make marks on them to support this. Vinted do not care about any evidence I support towards this to suggest otherwise.
Desired outcome: I would like Vinted to investigate my evidence I have provided and not give this woman a refund as now these trainers are not up to standard for me to re sell.
Buying and not getting a positive result from their customer complaints
I am asking for a refund of postal cost of £4.45 as a gesture of goodwill for a mistake by the seller. They say that you have a protection which you pay for on top of your purchase and refuse to waver on what essentially not my fault.
As one of my first purchases from the above company I completed the transaction when I should have pressed that there was a problem.
All I keep receiving is the standard “ you completed the transaction so we cannot do anything” what is the buyers protection premium for if not to help you?
My account with Vinted is Vodkas211074.
Desired outcome: Refund of £4.45 as a goodwill gesture for inconvenience caused by their sellers incompetence.
Return policy
I bought a jacket from Vinted that was described as 'new with tags' but when it arrived there was a charge hole underneath the arm. I immediately asked the seller for a refund and was told by the seller and Vinted that I would need to return and pay for postage.
I did this, but the courier tried to deliver three times and the seller would not contact the courier to resolve. The item was returned to me.
I contacted Vinted to explain and they told me that I would need to return again and pay for postage. But they would not refund until the seller had verified that they had received the parcel. I don't know how I can get the parcel to the seller if they will not work with me to receive it.
I need help with this, and the Vinted team will not respond to my questions.
Desired outcome: I would like to return the jacket to the seller and receive a refund.
I bought shoes on vinted, they were described as new without tags and the seller assured me they were new. Nevertheless, when they came the shoes were worn and bit of the soles were missing as if a dog have bitten the sole away.
I complained straight to vinted and i was told that i would need to cover the cost of the return despite the fact that the consumer rights act 2015 states that if an item isnt as described then the seller must pay for any return and refund the buyer.
Despite this I returned the package and now the seller is saying they have not received it even though there is photographic proof that it has been sent to their address.
Even though I have sent this proof to vinted they continue to tell me that I must contact Evri and resolve the issue which I have done and sent proof of.
Regardless, they have still refused to give me my refund and the seller is extremely uncooperative and ignores my messages.
Its disgraceful
Posting item
I have sent 2 items, paid about 40.00 in postage, and reading reviews, item is lost and no protection for seller. So my items are gone and tough! My question is why are there no consequences for these guys to be investigated or shut down?
I have sent a huge basket and a huge box of toys. These were my daughters toys that she was wanting to learn how to buy and sell to earn pocket money!
I read everyone's having the same problem. I did the postage myself! Why is it that people like this get away with it?
Desired outcome: My refund
Vinted
Sold a t shirt on Vinted, proof of postage and proof of delivery sent to Vinted to assist as buyer still not paid for a week.
Vinted policy is buyer has to update site with received before a seller can obtain the money.
I contacted the buyer and asked them to update - no update.
Contacted Vinted to intervene and was advised I had to wait a further 8 days.
Desired outcome: I just want my money. Buyer has my item.
