Vio Bank is a total scam!
Vio Bank is a total scam! I got the same password and username for all my accounts, so I definitely know my password. But their app keeps saying it's wrong. I called them, but the customer rep couldn't unlock my account. Finally, after calling again, my account started working. I want to transfer all my funds from this shady bank or investment account, or whatever they call themselves. It's a complete waste! If they don't return my money to my external account, I'll take legal action against this bank. Be careful, folks! Learn from my mistake and avoid falling victim to this scam!
I just opened a Vio Bank account because their Money Market rates seemed alright
I just opened a Vio Bank account because their Money Market rates seemed alright. We're selling our house and I needed somewhere to put some of the money for about a year or so. Got an email saying my initial funding transfer didn't go through, so I called them up. They told me my account was being held for "business reasons," but couldn't explain what that meant. I kept pushing and they transferred me to a supervisor. The supervisor acted clueless and didn't know why I was transferred to them. I asked multiple times and all they said was "closed for business reasons" and that there was no one else to talk to. So I hung up. Not cool, Vio Bank! What do you think about their business practices? Is this a common problem nowadays?

I opend an account with Vio Bank on the 15th of January
I opend an account with Vio Bank on the 15th of January. I authorized them to transfer to my account an initial deposit of 5000 from an external bank account. That money was pulled from my external bank account. On the 19th I received a notice saying my deposit could not process. The money was pulled from my external account. I am out 5000 because of this bank and would like a clear and swift resolution.
I opened a savings account with VIO bank in January
I opened a savings account with VIO bank in January . I transferred $25000 from my Chase savings on 01/19, but the money hasn't shown up in my VIO account. I contacted VIO on 1/22, and they told me that my VIO account was closed without any notice. The customer representative said that the money might have been rejected, but couldn't show me any proof or return transfer. They also refused to help me track the external transfer, even though I gave them the transaction number. My original bank can't track the transaction either, so I have no idea where my money is.

I opened an account with Vio Bank in October 2022 and wish I had read the complaints on the ComplaintsBoard.com first
I opened an account with Vio Bank in October 2022 and wish I had read the complaints on the ComplaintsBoard.com first. Every complaint on here is exactly what I am experiencing. They locked me out of my account for no reason and told me my account has been closed for "business reasons" without any explanation. They are rude and unprofessional when I call to ask when I will get MY money back. I will file a complaint with the FDIC. I am surprised Vio Bank is still insured by the FDIC with so many complaints, all seeming to be the same complaint... Legalized thievery?
I opend up a high yield savings account with this company, depositing $100 and providing all of my sensitive information (SS#, driver's liscense
I opend up a high yield savings account with this company, depositing $100 and providing all of my sensitive information (SS#, driver's liscense #, DOB, maiden name, etc) online. Within a week of opening account, I received a short letter stating my account had been closed. Upon calling to find out what happened and why, I have been unable to get any answers other than a stock "business reasons" reply. I have yet to receive my $100 back. The whole experience has left me feeling scammed, as though I gave up personal information that may be used for something else. I was told there was nobody in the company above Ryan that I could get a satisfactory answer to , and he was extremely condescending and dismissive.
I opened a savings account with Vio Bank 2 years ago
I opened a savings account with Vio Bank 2 years ago. There isn't much money in it, and when I tried logging in, it gave me a message saying my account needed to be verified. I called the number and gave them my name, social, phone number, and DOB - all the information they needed. Then they asked for the exact date I opened the account. I don't know that. It was May , 2 years ago. My email deletes emails after they're 2 years old. She kept saying to just look at that email. I don't have that email anymore. They asked another question about the bank that funded it the first time. I gave them that info, and then she said she can't give me access to my account without the exact opening date. That's ridiculous. I've never heard that from a bank before. She refused to help me get access. All I want is access to my account so I can move it to a legitimate institution now.
I opened an account with Vio Bank, a division of *** Bank on June 29
I opened an account with Vio Bank, a division of *** Bank on June 29. On June 30, I checked 2 small credits and debits to make sure my transfer account was valid. I confirmed the account and made the transfer on June 30. On July 1, my new Vio account was confirmed. On July 2, the money was taken out of my account. I thought it would take a few days to appear at Vio. In the evening of July 2, I got a notice saying the transfer failed, but the money was already gone from my other account. I called on July 3 and they said they had no record of the transaction. I called again on July 7 and they told me they were closing my account for "business reasons." They didn't give me a reason. I asked when I would get my money back. They said probably tomorrow. Then I checked more reviews and it turns out this is what they do. They take your money and keep it for weeks or months.
Me and my partner, we opened a joint high yield savings account with Vio Bank in January
Me and my partner, we opened a joint high yield savings account with Vio Bank in January. Everything was fine with our funds until one day in January, we couldn't access our online banking. We thought it was a problem with the online banking, so we reached out to support. They told us they closed our account, but they couldn't tell us why unless they sent us a letter or email. They didn't give us any notice that our account was closed, so our money was gone too. It's been weeks now, and Vio Bank still hasn't given us our money back. We really need that $2,000 for our rent. All Vio Bank says is that they sent some paperwork to Chase, but Chase hasn't received anything from Vio Bank. I worked hard for that money, and I need it from Vio Bank. It's not my fault that they treat their customers so badly, with no clear information and no help. We really need our money, especially during this tough financial crisis.
I tried to open an online savings account with Vio Bank
I tried to open an online savings account with Vio Bank. They took all my personal info, like my social security number and driver's license number. They didn't tell me if there were any problems with my application, but they didn't open my account. When I tried to contact them to ask what the issue was, they didn't give me a reason. And when I asked if a supervisor or someone in charge could explain it to me, they made excuses. They said the supervisor was busy or would call me back. This went on for two weeks, with me trying to contact Vio multiple times a day. I'm just shocked that an online bank, which is supposed to be reputable, can take your personal info and then ignore you for weeks without answering your concerns. How do I even know if my info is safe? It's absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I don't even want to be a client anymore. I would never trust Vio Bank with my money. I'm really worried that my personal info has been or could be compromised.
The bank closed my account
The bank closed my account. They said they'll give me back the money in my account. They sent me a letter saying the account would be closed and they'd send a check by mail. I believed the letter. I waited for seven days. I called and asked when I'd get the letter. They said they don't send checks by mail. They spoke to the back office and said they sent a letter of indemnity to the bank they were trying to return the money to. I went to my bank and they said they don't accept letters of indemnity and never will because it's a crime to take money from another account. I called and told them that, and they said they'd return the money through ACH. I trusted them again. I waited for four days and called again to ask where the money is. They said they didn't send any money through ACH and didn't explain what they were going to do. I called and they said they... One day I called and they told me the bank wouldn't return the money. The bank doesn't want to talk to me anymore.
I opened a savings account on December 18 and put $5,000.00 into an account under Thurman Centers' name
I opened a savings account on December 18 and put $5,000.00 into an account under Thurman Centers' name. But then, on December 21, the bank canceled my account without telling me why. They said they would send me the funds on December 28. I waited until the end of the month and called them to ask about the check. They said, "The Check is in the Mail." So, I asked where they sent it and they said it was mailed to my address, but I had to be home to sign for it. I waited another 3 days, but still no check. I called them again, and they said the same thing, "The Check is in the mail," blaming the slow USPS due to the Virus. I waited another week, but still no check. So, I called them again, and then they told me that the check was mailed to a PO Box in Chicago, IL, and made payable to The Northern Trust. They told me to contact Ally Demand Notes because that's where I had an account. I spent several hours going back and forth, but VIO Bank refused to issue me a new check and mail it to my home address. I'm starting to think this might be a scam to keep my $5,000.00. If you need any proof to support my complaint, I can provide it to you.
I been using this online bank for my High Yield Savings (HYS) account for over year
I been using this online bank for my High Yield Savings (HYS) account for over year. When I tried to make a transfer from my HYS to my traditional checking account in December , I couldn't do it and they told me to call the bank. When I called, they said they decided to close my account that day, but they couldn't tell me why for security reasons. They said they would send me a check for the money in the account. It's been over two months and I still haven't got my check. The amount in the account is a little over $5300. Every time I call, they give me the run-around: saying the check is coming, saying supervisors aren't there, and now they're saying my traditional bank was sent letters and have to ask for the money on my behalf. When I asked my bank about it, 3 different offices told me they haven't got any letters and don't know what I'm talking about. They also said Vio Bank should be sending me a check because that's what they're supposed to do. When I called Vio Bank again and told them what my bank said, the person on the phone said they don't know the department where the letters were sent and it's some back office. Then they said the letters were faxed. When I asked for the fax number, they put me on hold and eventually gave me a fax number that no one knows about. Meanwhile, when I look at my account online, it's still earning interest (even though they say it's closed) and I still can't get my money.
This bank took all of my info including my social security number when I applied for a savings account
This bank took all of my info including my social security number when I applied for a savings account. AT no point did it mention that I could be rejected for this account and that they were not at liberty to share the reasons why I was rejected. When I called and complained, asking for a formal rejection letter listing the reasons why they came to this decision- considering I am employed and have excellent credit- they refused to give me even a verbal response. I am not disputing my rejection- I have applied for and been rejected by credit cards in the past- but I want to know how this decision was reached because without it- I feel like I was part of a fishing scam for my information. When I called, I spoke to supervisor, Josh *** out of Oklahoma City who refused to help at all just repeating the fact that I was denied and they could not tell me why.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
