I submitted a complaint today and then I started reading the other complaints. It's quite apparent that VIZIO has reliability issues. My last television lasted me 21 years and I am back to using it. My VIZIO lasted 18 months. The problems began within the warranty and each time were temporarily fixed. The same problems have continued after the warranty expired and I was told to suck it up and buy a new television. I was treated extremely poorly and called a liar. I realize that we live in a throw away society, but give me a break. A television that costs over 1000.00 and lasts 18 months, sound like a racket to me. If you would be interested in forming a class action lawsuit please contact me.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
So frustrated! Is there a lawsuit for vizio tv's? Want to file a com
My Vizio led t.v didn't even last me more than three months. The t.v kept turning itself off and not connecting to the Internet. I called vizio and they told me that because my t.v wasn't connecting to the Internet that I needed to call my Internet provider to come check my connection. I called my Internet provider and they checked my Internet connection also sent me a new router just in case mine was having problems. The T.V still was turning itself off and not connecting to the Internet so I called Vizio back. They sent out a repair guy to put in a new motherboard. The T.V worked great for about two days then started to go back to not connecting and turning itself off. So I called Vizio back and they decided to replace the T.V. Two weeks later the new T.V showed up. The people that delivered it traded it out and put the new one on the floor, they said they were running behind and left. My husband and I went to set up the new T.V and noticed that the bottom of the T.V was broken. I called Vizio, sent pictures as requested. They told me they had to investigate the transport of the T.V and would call me back. Two weeks went by and they called to let me know that there was nothing they could do and even though our T.V was still under warranty that because this one was delivered damaged the warranty is now voided. This T.V doest work correctly and all the soft buttons on the side are broken. We paid a lot of money for a broken T.V.
Got a 50" VIZIO model no. M501d-A2R that just started having problem a couple of days ago. the TV have this 2 horizontal thin line in the bottom half of the screen which flicker and flashes all the time which make it very distracting to watch. called VIZIO and was told to send pictures and a 10sec video which i did yesterday. i have a square trade warranty but wanted to see vizios reply. oh and just run into this site. http://classactionlawsuitcenter.com/headlines-view/vizio-led-tv-class-action-lawsuit/
I would support a class action lawsuit against Vizio. I guess I should be thankful I have gotten 3 years out of my 42" LCD HDTV. But more and more it is causing problems. Screen intermittently fades from dark to light. From researching online, it appears some people are getting a black screen. And then just recently, the audio during a movie will go completely mute. ANNOYING! Maybe I'm from the stone age, but $500 spent on a new TV in January 2011 should have a longer shelf life than 4 years. These big corporations get on my last nerve! Where is the value anymore? Feel free to contact me at anshirhu@gmail.com if anyone is filing a class action suit against this company. We are moving soon & I'm greatly considering just leaving this piece of crap on the curb for the next victim. Last thing I need to spend money on right now is a new friggin TV.
I have a internal crack and a purple line going down my 60 inch Smart tv and vizio and Wal-Mart won't replace it. I did not not my family cause the damage. I just bought the darn thing in February of this year. Someone please help!

I agree Visio products are garbage . March of last year I purchased an E class 70 inch led HD TV . June the thing literally blows up . Sounded like an automatic weapon going off in my living room . Picture went out but sound still worked . Contacted Visio to see what I should do even tho the tv was barely out of warranty they said wasa safety issue they would repair my tv . a technician from iti came and tried to repair he replaced every board in the thing and picture still would not come up . I watch the service and there are definite differences in components they are replacing . On my power board there were three very small and very damaged capacitors . The new board had two very large ones on it to take there place . So this obviously a problem they are trying to combat with different components . He said tv had to be replaced . I waited a few days and didn't received any calls from them .So I called both the Ito and Visio only to find out my tv was simply out of warranty and I would have to replace it . There attempt to repair was only a courtacy... Before when I called it was a safety issue and to please do not attempt to use tv in any way even if would still power up . From what I've been reading there are plenty of other people out there since 2003 having the same issues. Shame on me or us for purchasing from this from what I have read third tier tv manufacturer... I will do my part to deter anyone from purchasing there garbage . I guess my standards are high for my last tv I replace was a 65 inch Mitsubishi projection and worked well for 10 plus years till the day I replaced it with this junk.
I have had our 70" e701i-a3 razor smart led TV for 18 months at a cost of 1700 dollars. It just went black this weekend. I contacted Vizio, and was informed they are aware of the, problem foe these units and issued a recall for a few serial numbers. But not all under this model. And that they will not honor or back the product since its out of warranty. I'm lost with that if they know there's a problem with these models during these years why not stand up and do the right thing with the consumers. I guess Vizio, products only have a 2 yr life on there electronic's, beware of this before you purchase one of there products..l've also filed a complaint with Californians BBB and the attorney general's office on this matter and am looking into filing a class action lawsuit.
I purchased a 50" Vizio from Walmart in Dec 2013; it began having issues in April of this year/16 months after purchase. Malfunctions included turning on and off, loud screeching noise and getting stuck on the V icon screen. Today, no led light, no screen, no TV...it will not respond at all. I waited several years to buy a flat screen for my wall and this is so disappointing. There should be a class action lawsuit as this seems to be the norm and not the exception.
I purchased a 47 inch vizio smart tv from Costco about two years ago. After a year the screen went black with only audio. I rebooted the set and the picture came on. Yesterday the same thing happened and I tried to reboot the set but nothing happened. I called vizio customer support and was informed since the set was out of warranty I would have to fix this set on my own. They referred me to ITI who wanted $306.99 to fix it. I read the complaints from other people who were having the same problem and some had it fixed but only to have it happen again. I realized the customer support was well aware of this problem, since the person I was talking to said to basically buy a new tv since it would cost a lot of money to fix the set with no guarantees it would work. If you do a class action law suit, count me in. After all Vizio should be responsible for their products. Some kind of compensation should be made to all who bought their sets.
I had my new Visio tv repaired by a visio repair man because it kept turning off after 10 minutes of watching then it still didn't work after they repaired it, they sent me out a new tv that wouldn't even turn on. I called to let them know but they said my tv warranty was voided because it was a different tv. I had the tv for 3 months paid 1600.00 dollars for it and now I don't have a tv at all.
need everyone on the planet to know that vizio tv's are total junk, just out of warranty, 800. set needs 310. fix vizio resolution team tells me to "piss up a rope" need to organize a dead vizio bonfire, i'll bring mine
I purchased a 70 inch LED TV Serial # LFTRNXAP0305052 on 2/15/13 from Walmart and now the screen is full of spots and difficult to watch, I paid almost $1, 800. I called customer service to complain about this known issue and the response that I got was sorry for your luck. This TV did not even last 3 years! They tried to offer me a discounted piece of junk! Why would I want to throw my money away on a disposable TV?
My Vizio M501d-A2R just started having a new problem, the bottom 1/4 of the screen is moving up and down. There is a black horizontal line where the screen is jumping. From other forums that I have read in which people are experiencing the same problem(which by the way is a large number), It is a bad screen. This basically means that the TV is not repairable.
The TV also keeps losing internet connection and I have to reboot my router in order to reconnect, because when I go to the menu to input my code, the prompt asks for me to input my WEP code and my internet has a WPA2 code. The only way to clear it out is to reboot the router. I have learned the hard way that Vizio;s are junk. I had my last TV for 20+ years and it is in the kids room now. Decided to get a flat screen smart tv with 3D, so bought the Vizio in December of 2013. Thought that it was a Great Deal at $750. Wrong! Vizio customer support is a joke, the response that I get from customer support is the TV warranty is up and they can not help me. I was told to get it repaired at an estimated cost of $400. What a joke! For about $250 I bought a TV that has lasted 20+ years. Spend $800 now and the TV lasts 2 years if you're lucky.
E600i-B3 Picture problems after just a little over 2 years old. If a lawsuit is possible, please advertise it.
My 70" (model #: E701i-A3E) died a week and a half ago. Biggest piece of junk I ever purchased. I have been talking to VIZIO customer service the last few days just to try to get the thing replaced. The thing that gets me is they KNEW about this particular defect when I called and described it to them. The video went out on it, but the audio still works. They said it had been a reoccurring problem. Because of numerous customer complaints, they extended their manufacturer's warranty an extra year (from one year to two years...) as a 'courtesy'. However, this doesn't do me any good as I am now 3 months and 3 weeks past the expiration (November 29th, 2013). Last June, I had called them because I needed it repaired as the power supply went out. I asked the rep if it was still under warranty and they said no. So, I had to bring it in to a third party tv repair technician. Apparently though, at some point between last June and now, they extended it another year. Since an unauthorized person worked on it though, it sounds like I have no shot at getting it replaced! I had it in because the power supply blew up on it then and now this week the whole panel went out. It can't even be fixed! They've offered to sell me another tv at a discount...however, I'm considering my options. VIZIO has offered to ship me a replacement 2016 model (#D70-D3) with a FIVE year warranty for $1100 (Retail $1350). My last tv was $1000. I guess you get what you pay for. Beware the Black Friday deals! I'm not sure if I should I take what they are offering, or look at paying more than double for the obvious higher quality of a Samsung, Magnavox, Panasonic, etc. I mean, 5 years is a little bit of piece of mind and good protection for this sort of investment, however, I'll be without a tv in my living room for another month at least. Not a happy camper...contact me if you are interested in additional information/class action: tecwater@hotmail.com

Soooo? What happened? Did you guys filed a lawsuit?
I want to follow the same steps.
This is absurd. Selling us garbage.
Yep, add me to the list. 70" Vizio, not even the supposed affected models but the EXACT same problem. And I'm days past the one year warranty. Haven't spoken to them yet but I'm sure I'll the run around. This is just plain wrong.
I'd like to be added to the class action list as well. < 1 year and my 70" 4K tv has a line defect. They want to send me a "re-classified" tv instead of a new one and of the same model that was defective. I have NO confidence in Vizio or their attempts at making things right. Customer service refused to release my recorded line transcript as well after an hour of talking to them about how to resolve it.
I think that vizio should be held accountable for the problems with these televisions. Mine is about 18 months old. The screen is shaded on one side and obviously Vizio could not care at all. Their tvs aren't really cheap in price but they are cheaply made. There are so many articles about the same problem its ridiculous. There has to be someone who will look into the shotty equipment they are selling. They don"t even deserve a 1 star rating. I work hard for my money and when I pay out that kind of money I expect it to last more than 18 months. And, don't even get me started on their customer service. So what do we do with all these non working tvs or what we call a 60 inch radio, you cant see to tune in?
How do I join a class action lawsuit or how do we start one? I bought a 70 inch TV at Costco in May 2014 and after 2 1/2 years the TV has a 8 inch vertical dark line across the TV. 2 year warranty ended in May 2016, TV not working in October 2016. I spoke to customer complaints at Vizio and was told the TV is unrepairable and they offered me a minimal discount to buy another one. I have no money to buy another one. My email is 1sanantoniorose@gmail if anyone knows of a class action lawsuit that I may join.
Don't join a lawsuit because you would not have any rights to fight and millions of customers ended up with few dollars not enough not even to buy an antenna.
Rose yo lo hici. I did participate in a class action lawsuit but is not worthy. I was only offered 17 dollars not even enough to buy an antenna. also lawsuit prohibits you from taking them into court. once you in a class action lawsuit you cannot do any other court battle with them. the only way a lawyer or an attorney would take a case is only if they win money or ear money from the case. ex. like injury right away lawyers are hungry to be in the case. look for me in social media as sonia pena. sorry for the caps but I dont have my reading glasses.
I purchased a Vizio TV from Sam's Club about 4 years ago, the TV is a 65" 3D smart TV and now the TV has developed Line Defects. At the time I paid 1275.00 for the TV and for that amount of money one would think that it would last more than four years. Vizio needs to correct this problem. Reading complaints on the internet this is very common with Vizio TV's. They have lost a customer in me.
I have a vizio 70 inch smart tv have talking but I have no picture I have call and call ever body is tell me ever thing what need to do get it fix how they gone to help me to get it fix but won't you buy a tv what I won't buy another tv for and I got this one I need this one fix I paid to much money for this tv
after reading all these complaints, i don't understand why it is vizio can continue to rip people off with no consiquence where is the justice for the comsumer. it seems to me someone is being payed off or some other kind of compensation to ignore this type of bussiness practice. and if so you should be ashamed.you have no integrity.
because they can do this if u go to bbb.org its 2000 complaints and under every single post same answer from vizio . samsung lg sharp do this same because law protects them not us its corporation if u got a problem with screen they stop a conversation they find a thousand reason to not cover repair under warranty its sick situation and probably for 10-15 years we got a much more problem with everything US is not more a country its freaking corporation where single person can do nothing
Got a Vizio 39'' E390i-B0 a few years ago. After year and a half black lines began appearing on the screen. They spread until they now fill about 10% of the entire screen, only on the left side. Also on the left side, towards the bottom, black circles and "rainbow" pixels. It's quite clear that Vizio bought cheap parts that were only rated for a year. If everyone who has had bad Vizio TVs got together then they could definitely get some sorta compensation for their loss.
My (smart ) tv after 18 months. How bad are the dumb ones?
I bought a Vizio P502ui-B1E from Walmart in July 2015.
It was very lightly used as we don't have much time to watch. The thing suddenly died while being watched - not powering up at all, even with the reset steps suggested from other web sites.
I couldn't believe a modern TV could do this in 2 years time - a TV should last at least for 10 years isn't it?
have my second vizio. First one lasted 7 years before two voltage regulators blew. This 50" one I have now developed screen jumping with two thin horizontal lines within 6 months of purchase. Cant afford too replace so am just dealing with it. Have no recourse
Dont buy any more tvs from this moran read my tips and/or information under sp52
im use my vizio 70 for 11 months and one day im turn on and horizontal vertical and diagonal line show on the screen. i call to customer support then send a couple pictures and few days later i receive email my case is close because its not a mechanical issue they said its a impact damage and warranty not cover, im understand if its true but nobody hit the screen, no animals no children its happened in the morning . i make a research and find a thousand complain about this issue i find a reason what going on, problem is that screen overheat and internal glass broke and make a line so i call again and explain what happen and i tell if the diagonal line is on the left hand bottom side its a thermal problem the info about that its from the certified repair tv shop and they have to fix or replace tv because tv is under warranty what they do ? nothing they said the warranty not cover the screen hahah they do every thing to find a reason to not a resolve a problem, if u gays do research u can find a thousand complain about a warranty problem and nobody can help with this problem, people spend a $1000 or more like me $1300 for tv and its run only 11 months. check bbb.org . vizio do this because they can im looking for someone who can help me open the lawsuit case because for me its a scam big scam my email is bartez80@gmail.com
I would join y'all on filling a class action suit they don't care about the people who buy their products. I bought my vizio smart tv Model D50-F1 February 2019 at Walmart, the screen started turning white in the middle of November. The HDMI connections stoped working and now I'm screwed i paid cash, and didn't save receipt and vizio customer service puts me on hold than hangs up the calls Everytime I try to continue explaining what's going on. My Toshiba flat screen has worked for 5yrs with no problem and picture looks way better. Stay away from vizio they make defective products.
I also have a problem with the Vizio company. I want to get my money back, return tv to Costco, and able to buy another tv with the money return. I have not able to get none of what I mentioned. I called the company and was told the TV does not have any issues but the company had a class action lawsuit which only granted me 17 dollars. 17 dollars which I didn't claim and it is not even enough to buy an antenna nor a tv. Is horrible company. NO WONDER THEIR PRODUCTS COST LESS. THAT IS TO GET PEOPLE TO BUY. I WAS IN RUSH TO BUY A TV WHEN I BOUGH IT. I AM VERY PICKY WHEN I BUY SOMETHING. I THOROUGHLY RESEARCH. COSTCO WHOLESALE STORE WHERE I LIVE DOES NOT ALLOW WIFI NOR MY CELLPHONE INTERNET DOES NOT WORK. IT DOES NOT WANT ME OR OTHER SHOPPERS TO RESEARCH ONLINE FOR THE PRODUCTS WE ARE BROWSING OR SHOPPING. NOT FAIR.
I hope this website will help us.
I also would support a class action lawsuit I purchased a Vizio smart 55 inch it worked great the first year then it would not connect to internet channels contacted assurance and they sent a technician to replace the television and he strips the screws to the legs I've had this set only 4 years had to purchase another one i wouldn't recommend vizio to a blind man
