Hi

I took out a contract in Oct 2022 - Samsung Flip Z4, in March while on a call the device just went blank, I took it into Vodacom repair Centre and they advised that it's the LCD, there was no physical damage to the device, this was a fault on the phone. When I picked up the phone, I queried whether I would have this issue again and the guy advised that I would not. At the beginning of November 2023. I experienced the same issue, where I was on a call and the device just went blank, just like previously, however I realized that I was still able to utilize the phone while connected to the hands free on the car. I then took it back to Vodacom and they advise again that it looks like an LCD issue, and they can see that it's not cracked as it would have that light under, again there was no physical damage to the device. I also advise the Vodacom assistant, that I had previously had this issue and here I am couple months later having the same issue. Apart from that ever since I picked up my device from the first repair, I would experience the issue of when the phone rings, it rings once or twice and then goes silent, and many times I miss calls due to this. I have explained that I do not want this device, and would prefer them to give me another device, as the flip phone seems to be an issue, one of which was my very concern when taking out the device, but the salesperson had said that they have not experienced any issues with the flip and the screen, and it been through extensive testing. Yet here I am 1 year later having experienced the exact problem twice. Please assist as I do not want to cancel my contract but opt for another device. My worry is that once my contract ends, I could have this problem again, and then I sit at a loss as the device would no longer be in warranty and I will have to fork out money to fix it. This is a lot of money I am paying for the same thing that keeps going wrong.

Every call to Vodacom repair Centre I have requested to speak to the manager Malcolm but his always busy or not available. I have requested a call back and still I have not received one.

Desired outcome: I would like vodacom to replace the device to a device within the same price range
