polo car
Sir,
I bought a Volkswagen polo on... 2017. I found many manufacturing defects. The air conditioner is not up to the mark, gear shift is very rough and nd when i move the starring then its creats very rough sound.we experienced vibrations and the drive was not at all smooth. The company promises a very refine and smooth drive but we are highly disappointed. Even a 800cc car does not vibrate at this speed .According to the procedure, I took my car to the service centre, but still my car is in same condition,
Volkswagen being a trusted brand promises their customer the best and most comfortable drive but we didn't experience the same, we didn't expect they would treat their customers this way. We are extremely disappointed from the performance of the car and the service
I request you to replace my car .
If this doesn't happen we will file a case in the Indian Consumer Court.

unacceptable service and practice
In January 2017, 5 months after I first took my vehicle (2010 VW Golf 6 GTI) to Cape City VW, due to the engine light coming on and strange noises being made, the diagnosis was that my timing chain was problematic. For the next 5 months I took my car in repeatedly to VW as the engine light kept on coming on after every 2 to 3 days of driving. Each time I took my vehicle in, a different fault was reported.
The faults ranged from:
1. The timing chain
2. The manifold (which had been replaced a year prior)
3. The battery
4. The fuel pump
5. The water pump
These all amounted to the sum of ±R53 000.
I want to express my extreme dissatisfaction and concern at the poor service offered by your company. Ten months later I booked my vehicle for a service at Barons VW Culemborg where they found numerous problems which had not been corrected and had in fact led to the deterioration of the performance of my vehicle as a whole, due to poor service and negligence.
List of issues as identified by Barons VW (Culemborg):
1. Ribbed belt worn & oil leaking onto belt
2. Suspension noisy
3. Noise on Engine
4. Tappet cover, no gasket but sealant was used during the assembly.
5. Bolts loose on Tappet cover
6. Sump screw/bolt was totally worn, causing the unacceptable use of oil monthly and has left my engine and engine bay in total disarray
7. Several oil leaks found
8. The battery also worn, after it was supposedly replaced, just 10 months ago
As an extremely popular branded vehicle, my VW has been noted by Barons to be in bad condition and unsafe for my family to use. The money spent on this has not only been wasted but has put my family in an unsafe situation, a risk which I cannot take.
To resolve the problem, I would appreciate it if a senior member of your management contact me to propose a solution to my satisfaction. At this point I would not accept rectification, as this would not only take a long time, but there is no guarantee that it would be done correctly.
We have all copies of records.
VW SOUTH AFRICA! After many calls ... you guys still have not helped us in January.. now look how this issue has escalated!
low pressure oil message after the 75000 km maintenance (at 78000 km)
Dear Sir,
I have a Volkswagen Jetta model 2014 with chassis number WVWSV1AJ6EM22834
And has committed to all maintenance with the local agent in Saudi Arabia Samaco according to the maintenance schedule of the agent as follows
Maintenance of 15000 km
Maintenance of 30, 000 km
Maintenance of 45000 km
Maintenance of 60, 000 km
Maintenance 75000 km
And now the car has been passed 78400 km and recently has appeared a warning message of the low level of oil pressure of the engine.
I stopped to inspect the level of engine oil I found that there is no apparent impact on the index of oil level of the severity of the lack of oil and there is no smuggling under the car.
Then I went to the agent (SAMACO) on 10-30-2017 to check the problem, noting that the scheduled schedule for maintenance by the agent is at a distance of 90 thousand kilometers.
When the initial inspection of the car by the agent found that the shortage of oil is severe - so the technician added oil estimates of about 1.5 liters - and in my estimation, as I saw it more than 2 liters.
After adding the oil and rotate it in the engine and re-examination of oil, it turns out that the oil color is dark black and not suitable for oil cut only 3000 km!
Currently the car has expired its warranty in 8-2017 .
I think there is a shortage of the agent in the maintenance of the car led to the damage of the engine and the emission of exhaust gases! I do not think the life of the default engine ends at 75, 000 km..
When I asked the agent to diagnose the problem, he asked me after 10 days of keeping the car to be inspected at his request, to pay the opening cost of the engine to diagnose the problem and then look at the possibility of offering a discount on repairs after determining the size of the problem and the cost of repair.
I have received a preliminary estimate that the cost of repairing the engine is about 8500 Saudi riyals..
I trusted the agent and I did all my repairs at the agent service center, and now there is damage in the engine and I think the problem existed before that, but the agent did not pay attention to it.
Thank you very much and looking forward to hearing from you.

horrible customer service
I have a 2002 volkswagen beetle. It has a turbo 1.8 engine and the model # is 1c17n3. I have taken it to this dealership three times for the same problem. The inherent anti-theft system was malfunctioning and each time I started the car, the system would shut down the motor to immobilize the car. Twice, I had to have the car towed there at my own expense.
Though this was a repetitive problem, I was charged $270.00 right off the top for a "diagnostic procedure." after asking for a loaner car for two weeks and being told that there were no loaners available and to provide you with a rental would not be cost effective for us, I solicited the help of the general manager to secure me a loaner which was magically "available" all of a sudden.
My car remained under the care of this dealership for 2 months, at which time I received a call from the shop manager. I thought the car was ready. Instead, I was advised that I needed to pay for the part before they could order it. It was then that I reached out to corporate for assistance. The corporate representative assured me that the part had been ordered.
Well, suspiciously after the dealership found that corporate had been contacted, I received another phone call from a service representative stating that the new part does not exist, the company does not install refurbished or used parts, the anti-theft system cannot be disabled due to company regulations and so there is nothing we can do for your car.
Further, I was told to bring the loaner back immediately and arrange for my own transportation back home as they would not be responsible for that.in addition, I was told to remove my disabled vehicle from their property immediately as well. The corporate rep asked the shop manager if he would please extend time to have my car picked up until the upcoming monday as arrangements would have to be made. He agreed.
I had to ask a neighbor who I barely know to follow me to the dealership so that I would have a way back home (Long distance) and I had to again pay to have my car towed to another auto-repair shop. The maker of the car can't repair it because they do not have any parts? Terrible customer service.
picking up my brand new car
My salesman was 20 mins late for our arranged pick up appointment. My car was outside in the rain and I was acknowledge by the salesman until he had finished with another customer. I was so excited for my new vehicle and I had heard that the picking up experience was great. Not mine. My mum purchased a golf a year ago and her car was in a room covered over. It was unveiled and she was presented with a box of Thortons chocolate. It isn't even that I wanted gifts I just would of expected more of a fuss. Instead I was left waiting, staring at my new car out of the window.
battery replacement under warranty
Battery replacement under warranty.Seems battery not replaced. nothing mentioned in the invoice. Negative terminal seems to be shiny due to be in opened state but the positive terminal has lots of dust that gives clear indications that battery is not replaced even the dust on nuts can be seen clearly in the pics attached. I want a new battery serial number and assurance that battery is really replaced or not.Because I have been told that battery is replaced and lot of warranty replacement papers have been asked to be signed by me.
I have enclosed my original battery purchased bill also for your reference.
I have just got an invoice of a wiper blades replacement.nothing mentioned about the battery replacement. kindly look into the matter seriously.
waiting for a quick and positive reply.

recent car purchase
It's been 2 weeks my daughter bought a car from Larry miller vw in Avondale az. Her check given to them was for more than the contract amount and was suppose to get the difference back after our check cleared which it has over a week ago and still no check! They also have yet to credit any oil changes that were also supposed to be on me and my wife's cars that I bought there in December! We negotiated 2 free we were told we would receive vouchers but they haven't showed up for any of us. When I went to get my gti oil change done the lady there said she's never heard of a voucher given so now after 3 cars in less than a year and still they don't follow through with customer service nor what is agreed upon! My sons in market but we think now we'll go to Mitsubishi instead!
service
I took my car into VW of Laurel MD to have the emissions modification done. I had a check engine light on that has been on for several years and I was told several years ago it was the glow plug module which I am glad I never fixed because VW ended up paying for it in the settlement. Anyways VW of Laurel tells me they won't do the modification until they run a diagnostic and repairs are made. They come back and tell me it's 3 things wrong that have to be fixed first- the glow plug module, intake manifold has to be replaced and the exhaust pressure sensor. They argued with me that I had to pay for all 3 and that the glow plug module was not included in the settlement. I told them I was going to pick my car back up. The next day they say yes VW will pay for the glow plug module. They quoted me $919 for the intake manifold and $405 for the sensor. I picked the car up and a week or so later when I had the money I took it back. I called them first the day before to make sure they knew I was coming and needed a loaner car. I show up and they have no loaner cars available and tell me I have to wait til someone that has one comes to bring it back which could be a few hours. Luckily one showed up in an hour. I complained to the service manager Ron and he was nice but only said the same thing they did and that was well we had loaners this am but by 11am they were all gone. They knew I was coming around 3p no one called me. Then I get quoted the same thing as before for the repairs $919 and $405. I signed something and went on my way. I get there to pick up my car a few days later after they called and said it was complete. I get told oh I made a mistake and way underestimated for the intake manifold it should have been $1325 and then said a bunch of stuff and said but good news we took off the $162 for the diagnostic test which they told me they do originally and then told me they gave me another $100 off for a coupon. So it was $1102.61. Well I was expecting to pay about that amount so I was like ok and paid it. Then I'm looking at my paperwork they just gave me and I can't find anywhere where it says the replaced the exhaust sensor so I questioned it and was told of VW ended up paying for that so you just had to pay for the intake manifold so now I'm mad and told them no I am not paying this amount for the intake manifold when I was clearly quoted only $919 for that 2 different days. I'm not paying for their mistake. I am only paying $919 minus the $162 for the diagnostic minus the $100 coupon so that would be $657 total. I was not able to talk to the service manager Ron he was gone already for the day by 330p which was on Fri and wasn't returning until Mon and they told me he said not to call him so I left him a message in his voicemail but I have a feeling he isn't going to do anything and I just got screwed. And I do not see anywhere on my paperwork where the took off my bill for the $162 diagnostic or the $100 coupon and no where on here does it say they replaced that exhaust pressure sensor.
volkswagen polo 1.4 comfortline 2013
I purchases a brand new vw polo in 2012. I have excellent service history and looked well after my car. On the 10th of July 2017 my car went for 105000 service. A month later my head gasket blew. I had no warning lights indicating to me that there was a fault on the car. As I would have pulled over. I only knew there was a problem once the gasket had blown already.
I contacted vw sa and informed them. They told me that I would have to have the car assessed and because it isnt in warranty anymore I would have to patly R5000 just for that.
My problem is that a new car with good service history to give major problems and the car is only 5 years old. My biggest concern is that there was no indication of any fault. And the terrible service received at vw because my car is not in warranty any more.
What standard of vehicle is volkswagen providing to consumers..?
volkswagen r 2017
I purchased a brand new 2017 r... 4, 000 miles later engine light goes on... I took it lyndhurst volswagen they kept it for 2 days calling me saying they have no idea what it is they opened a case with volswagen technicians! Car is working perfectly fine but engine light will never go off! I called customer service the manager took the case in his hands and after weeks of still no answers tells "me there is yet still no solution to this problem this might take up to few months to review" few months? 40, 000 dollar car!? Brand new?! Did I make you wait few months to pay for this car?! This is a joke! I call customer care every other day for an update! Customer service is a joke! Rude! And they don't care how much I paid for a car... They good as long as they getting paid for not doing there job! And every time I wanna speak to the case manager "oh sorry he's busy" "oh sorry he will call you back later" "oh he's not here" [censor] talk! Worst ever do not buy the r there seem to be lots of problems with it! And the customer care will not help you in any way
bad service
I took my Car Golf 7 in for service at VW Arcadia for a 90 000km, the car was delivered to a stranger at 11h00 at night with all the dashboard lights on. When I took it back, I was told by manager that the brake sensor light need to be replaced and I had to pay this from my own pocket. I am not happy with this since the car did not have this problem when I took it for service. I will not recommend anyone to service their cars at this dealership as service consultant including management are useless. I am not happy about this Service, my suggestion if I was the owner of this company will be to fire everyone in this dealership especially service department, I will take this further with consumer councel and ambudsman.

inside roof of car
Dear sirs,
I am the owner of a VW Polo purchased six years ago. I have not stopped having problems since I got the car (brand new)
first problem was with the dash board, complained and was replaced.
then the had to change the back shocks,
then the engine was woking on 2 pistons, and again it was repaired, it took about 10 days,
now the cloth of the roofing is falling off right in front of the driving position.
I must admit that the local agent was excellent in all instances and I can only have good words for the service given.
I have not gone to the agent with this last complaint as it is not hampering me from using the car as it is not a technical problem, however I do not or rather did not expect to have all these problems with a VW car. I am very disappointed to say the least. Regards, V. Arrigo Azzopardi
i wold be obliged for an answer to my complaint
ignition switch
I too am complaining about the faulty ignition switch, you all recalled it up to the year 2010 as if the problem had been fixed. Wrong! My car is a 2012 and i'm having the same issue that numerous others are having! When will you put later models on the recall list?! Car is costing me more than what it's worth! Have to rent a car because my key won't turn, then come out of more mo way to get it fixed! Just deplorable!
I'm very sorry to hear you're facing this ridiculous situation. Hopefully The Volkswagen group does the right thing and resolves this issue (worthy of recall) for all impacted. After the egregious emissions scandal (and their company heritage linked to a man named Adolf) I've got zero interest or faith in this brand.
Had a 2013 Jetta 1 day key would not go in the ignition switch had to have the car towed and the garage had it for like 7 days due to another part behind the ignition switch had to be replaced. Now i have a 2016 Passat having problems with the ignition switch have to leave my spare key in it until i have enough money to get it fixed. Love the jetta and Passat and might be looking for another car soon but will not buy another Volkswagen because of these issues. and they both had low miles around 60, 000 when this issue started. Kevin
Same issue for me ! Key gets stuck in the ignition. My beetle is in the shop now for two weeks ! My car is a 2013 . The shop ordered the part they needed from volkswagen...had to take it to a locksmith for it to work ! they attempted to put the mechanism back in my car and the darn thing broke being that it didn't fit correctly ! when they called volkswagen to order another mechanism, the person at volkswagen said they have difficulty putting the part in also ! This is ridiculous and quite unacceptable ! You at volkswagen KNOW this is an ongoing problem yet you don't fix it ! What's your explanation for this?
Same issue for me. Car is 2013 and under 35, 000 miles. When are you going to make the recall VW?
key stuck in ignition
Apparently this is a problem with your vehicles and no one is doing anything about it! I see all kinds of complaints on this same thing, why isnt there a recall on it?! Everyone is tired of spending the money for these vehicles that are supposed to be so good and when something like this happens no one wants to claim it. If this happens apparently to all your vehicles at some time, that should tell you people something. I guess we all need to go to our local vw dealers and tell everyone going in that these cars are pieces of [censor] and vw won't back anything wrong with them. What happened to excellent customer service?! I guess it doesn't matter how many people complain, you just sit back and wait for your company to go down the drain because eventually it will. I will make sure and let everyone know not to buy any vw! Social media is a powerful thing
leasing run out option
I cannot stand Volkswagon and will NEVER buy from VW ever again. Having been a faithful VW owner for over 20 years. I realize that this company is a bunch of crooked, unscrupulous leaders that will spend billions trying to cheat the US and Foreign consumers on illegal vehicle emissions testing and recalls for bad brakes.
I am disgusted beyond belief that I am being charged over $2K for "wear and tear" of my leased car when I turned the car in with 40K miles - 8K miles under my 48K lease amount. Of course, there was no credit for what I was pre-paid.
When I informed them that I could not come up with that amount for turning my car in- they sarcastically " offered up a payment" plan for the next 19 months! Are you F_)@*$_#@)%(+ kidding me you are asking me to pay for the run out of a lease agreement for the SAME amount that I would pay for a new lease car. Except SORRY there was no CAR
I HATE Volkswagon and will never be a consumer again. They have illegal practices with their emissions testing that they rigged 50% of their cars so that they could cheat, Then they had recalls for illegal braking system. OF which my car was one of them that basically the BRAKES DID NOT WORK!
Then these awful people demand AFTER ALL THAT I pay them an additional $2K for WEAR and TEAR. Are you kidding me, you made the US consumer devalue their cars because of your cheating patterns, then you make shoddy brakes so we are at risk of dying THEN you cheat people when they turn in their leased cars UNDER the mileage amount.
I hate hate hate this company! I will tell everyone I know about this awful experience- I hope you guys go bankrupt and your new CEO Matthias Mueller goes to jail for your shoddy practices!1
2015 volkswagen jetta ignition
I bought my Volkswagen Jetta last year, and 1, 700 km after the warranty ran out my ignition switch began failing. I see that many people are having issues with their Volkswagen ignitions. Why this hasn't become a recall I don't understand. I have only owned Hondas prior to buying my Volkswagen. And after this experience and this issue and seeing how many other people are having this issue without Volkswagen taking responsibility, I won't be purchasing a Volkswagen again and I will be informing others of this issue. If Volkswagen chooses to submit a recall for the ignitions that are continuously failing then they will keep me as a customer.

This is Mahmoud Mohamed, from Egypt. I own a dark gray Passat model 2014 car.
I`m complaining your Egyptian agency which located at Abu-Rawash, Giza, Egypt. It`s all started on the 4 th of August, 2017, when I sent my car to your agent for the routine maintenance, they estimated the cost with 9000 Egyptian pound, a week later I was contacted by the agency telling me that my car maintenance was completely finished, so I went to the agency to get it, but I was completely shocked when they told me that my car was crashed inside the agency itself! which resulted in huge damages to the extent that damages reached the inner body of the car! (which you can check from the attached photos)! I asked to check the security camera to figure out what really happened but they claimed that there is no cameras inside the agency! 1. Consequently, I refused to receive my car, and I asked for a new one with the same model, which is very fair offer as it`s completely their fault, but the agency refused my offer, so I went to a police station and file a report against your agency num, 3818, besides posting what happened to me on all the social media networks (check attachments for the links), and finally I had to contact you directly to help me as you definitely care about Volkswagen reputation which is negatively affected by such a carless agent, taking into consideration the psychological and financial damages I am facing now as my car was the only transportation I had to go to my college and to my night shift job.
I`m looking forward to hearing from you as soon as possible to resolve the problem, or I will have to file complaints with the appropriate consumer agencies and consider my legal alternatives. I may be contacted at [protected].

2017 jetta 1.4t s manual
A new 2017 VW Jetta was priced at $11, 999, was online for days, & had many views. After arriving & being led around the lot looking for a car that wasn't there, we realized what had happened (bait & switch) & were told it was an accident. We gave them the benefit of the doubt & went home to do due diligence, looking around for the same car at a lower price. Several dealerships offered that same car for $12, 000, especially because the 2018 models will arrive soon. It wasn't an accident being led around the lot & it wasn't an accident that the car priced the cheapest was put as the top listed car - they got GREAT foot traffic from other people like us, we just want to be transparent with what really occurred. Don't get fooled!
warranty not honored - 37 miles over mileage limit
2012 VW Passat TDI
I took the car in for emissions and recall repairs/replacements. At the time, the engine light had recently come on and I ask the dealership to check to see if there was an issue. Turns out the ad blu heater needed to be replaced - this was under warranty/recall until 110, 000 miles and then later extended to 120, 000 miles. When I dropped my car off it had 120, 037 miles - I live 115 miles from the dealership. VW did not want to cover it under the warranty - after many discussions, they agreed to pay 75% of the cost. I am not satisfied - I feel they should cover it at 100%. I am looking for help in convincing them to pay the total amount or registering a complaint.
When I picked the car up after the recall repairs from VW of Athens, there was a diesel leak. There was not a diesel leak when I dropped the car off originally. I was told the fuel line was severed; the receipt indicated "fuel line was knocked out of place and inserted back into place". I had to pay for this repair. I do not feel I am responsible for the fuel line leak.
