Waldrop charged me over $9K to clean and sanitize my vents and check for leaks on Dec. 20, 2024. I informed them I had four indoor cats and to be careful about letting them get out. They tried to tell me I needed to get new countertops because the sink I had didn't have the brackets they were supposed to. I said no, so they took out my sink and put a defective stainless steal one in, and still didn't have the correct brackets for it (the same "problem" as my original one). The only leaking I had was that the seal on the sink wasn't sealed and needed to be redone, but they put in the cheaper, damaged sink instead. They told me I needed a new water heater. There was nothing wrong with it, but it was 12 years old and they said it was supposed to be replaced every 8-12 years. When they moved my washing machine to put in the water heater, they dug up my floor because they dragged it out instead of using a lift. They glued down the areas that were dug up, but it looks horrible and there are a lot of scratches that they couldn't repair. They left the air return vent open for a long period of time when they cleaned and sanitized my vents, allowing one of my cats to crawl inside and get stuck for 2 1/2 days. I thought she had gotten out one of the opened doors, but on Christmas day I heard her mewing under the crawlspace. I called 911, and the fireman that came said I had to get Waldrop to get her out because the vent would have to be cut open. I tried to call Waldrop on their emergency line, but they had it turned off due to the holiday. I "chatted" online to their bot on their website, and was told I was a priority, and it was urgent, and they would have someone get back to me ASAP. No one ever got back to me, even days later. I had to call someone else to get my cat out, ruining their Christmas. My cat was so traumatized she hid in the crawlspace where I couldn't reach her until the next morning. She had to use the vent as a litter box for the 2 1/2 days she was stuck there, thereby undoing the cleaning and sanitizing. My house smells like cat urine when I have the heat turned on, which is all the time now during this cold weather. I sent them numerous texts and messages that went unanswered. I finally called them and was told someone would get back to me, but no one never did. I sent them pictures of the damage, but no response whatsoever.
Claimed loss: $10,225.30
Desired outcome: Cancel $9100 charged me, return original sink, reimburse me $850 I paid to rescue my cat, and $275.30 for vet bill (total bill was $592.30, but $317 was for medication not due to Waldrop's negligence).
