Walgreens Pharmacy / Walgreens prescription saving program membership

Description of Complaint:

Today, April 5, 2023 - I contacted Walgreens to refill my perspiration. I was told by Walgreens, that my health insurance (United Health) is NOT CONTRACTOR with Walgreens and I must go to CVS to fill my script. I asked Walgreens if I canceled my insurance, can I be self pay. Walgreens said yes. I called my insurance, I can cancel but it wont be effective until May 1, 2023. I then contacted the Walgreens prescription saving program. Call the [protected], I explained the issued, I asked if I purchased the Walgreens membership prescription card, if I can use this for my prescription. Walgreens prescription saving program said YES. I went ahead and purchased the membership. I then went back to Walgreens with the Walgreens prescription saving program membership ID and ONCE AGAIN Walgreens said NO, that I could NOT use the Walgreens prescription saving program because my insurance on file is United Health. I asked if they could remove United Health and list me as self pay, and the Walgreens located in Apopka, FL, Said NO, once again. This is BS. I should not be locked into one pharmacy only. If I want to pay cash, why is this a problem. I purchased the Walgreens prescription saving program membership, because Walgreens gave me the green light, to do so, just to denied me after my membership member. My next step will be a class action law suit.

Desired outcome: REMOVE MY INSURANCE INFORMATION FROM YOUR SYSTEM AND LIST ME AS SELF PAY. REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE WALGREEN MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM SINCE WALGREENS IS REFUSING TO HIONOR THERE OWN MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM

For whatever reason, they are lying to you. I live in Wisconsin, am retired and have Medicare plus a United Advantage Plan. We have NEVER been told that United Health is not contracted with Walgreen's. They always honor our price structure or do better (we have been IRMAAED by Social Security, for which we are also, therefore, paying something for Medicare Part D). I have no idea what their objective would be in telling you that. I can go anywhere in the country and have my medical insurance honored at any Walgreen's. It makes no sense.

We are currently having a few issues at our local Walgreens with what appears to be a staffing change. We no longer get calls or text messages telling us that a prescription is ready, and my husband, who walks into the store to get his scrips, says the area looks chaotic. There is also some confusion when it comes to pricing. The new staff needs some training, I guess.

Walgreens Oxycodone prescription

Well today is April 4 ,2023 I called the Walgreens pharmacy on the corner of baseline and waterman to check and see when I could pick up my prescription for oxycodone. The pharmacist began to question me by telling me that we can't keep filling this prescription then she asked me if I was on a pain management program , and am I getting physical therapy. I was totally insulted by her line of questions as if I was some strung out druggie which I'm not!

I proceeded to tell her yes and I gave her my pain management drs name but she never wrote it down.

I've got sciatica and I've had a stroke yet I'm talked to like I'm a suspected drug addict. I don't take any street drugs nor do I take the oxycodone to get high I'm in pain 24/7 and without the 10 mg I basically can't have a functional day. And yes I'm aware of the addiction caution but if you're dealing with the pain that I'm having it far outweighs the consequences...I resent her drilling me when I am doing all the things required by my Dr. If I had any other alternatives then I would've gladly taken them

Walgreens pharmacy auto pick up window

walgreen located at spring hill dr. and barclay, anderson rd. spring hill florida parmacy auto pick up rx does not answer the window. monday 3 pm 4/3/23 waited on line 20 minutes, i was the 3rd car, first car never moved. i drove away. tuesday 11am 4/4/23 was firrst in auto line ,waited 20 minutes, called for service 5x no answer, drove away.

i think its time to switch to another pharmacy

Walgreens Pharmacy

Very long waits. But the biggest complaint is not keeping high blood pressure and insulin in stock, here I am again 3 days without my medication, just left Walgreens to pick it up because I got a text saying to pick it up at 2:45. I even call yesterday and they said to come today at 2:45, so one would assume the medication should be ready, and it was 3;05 when it was my turn, got there at 2:30, to only be told they have not unloaded their medications they got in today. If that location does not have your medication that you get at the same time every month, Can they not go get it from another location, I am so disappointed in the system that Walgreens is now using. And they always seem to be a problem with the insurance and Walgreens, I have Medicare, a supplement and a prescription plan I pay for every month, and there is always a problem.

Walgreens Taking days to fill/refill overdue prescriptions not filled.

My mother has many illnesses/reasons for needing important medication. She is diabetic, has heart problems, high blood pressure, pain and last DEMENTIA. We have been customers with Walgreens a good dozen straight years, never having any real big issues. Now it’s a delay with no reasoning- informing me either online or through the app, that i need to call them before they will submit rx to insurance! Once i started calling they Then would go through and submit the refill to the insurance- which once done, no issues with insurance. Only with Walgreens being lazy. The app/ online NEVER matches with what the pharmacy has done or not. I also myself take several medications for crohns disease, osteopenia, and other issues. Because my current dr does not have contracts through Medicaid ( which i only have) . I still decide to see my physician and still get prescriptions from him. Yes, i pay out of pocket, but this IS MY CHOICE. Still, they won’t fill it , assuming that since i don’t use my Medicaid that i won’t be getting it!?! They won’t even ask or fill it at full price. I hafta go out of my way every time to say plz fill this rx i know i hafta pay full or use a discount card. My dr isn’t doing anything wrong. He hasn’t lost his license. It’s my choosing to continue under his care & where they come off basically blackballing him and his prescriptions the audacity! I know this to be a fact because u have spoken to 10+ people who were or are under his care and they treat them the same way. Im discusted. My mom could die from not having her meds and i Can suffer unnecessarily all because these ppl think they rule more ppls health by own opinions instead of doing what a pharmacy’s job’s role.

Walgreens Customer service

Very Rude and Racists!

Not only one time, but FEW times. I tried to ask about the kind of generics they stock for medications I have prescriptions for, from my physicians who ask me which pharmacy I would like to send my prescribed med to! I have to know what generics each pharmacy stock, before the office send in my prescriptions as I have kidney failure, bowel and colon resection that make me very sensitive to inactive ingredients to certain generics and I have to stick to the ones that I already know.

Walgreens always refuse to give me any information about anything. They are always rude to me whenever I ask them this question and treat me like an ALIEN who speaks JEBRISH. It’s either they are very unprofessional or very racists as I am not a privileged white.

Will NEVER recommend.

Walgreens Online order on out-of-stock lipstick - cosmetic employee not helpful

My complaint is in regards to placing my online Pickup Order #[protected] on Thursday, March 23rd at the Walgreens on 3863 S. Dale Mabry Hwy Tampa, FL - Store #13031. First of all, my order was delayed and then the lipcolor I specifically wanted was out-of-stock. Of course, I was disappointed. However, when I went into the store to pick up my other items the following morning (Friday, March 24th) I had ordered additional items as well (which were in stock). I decided to go to the Cosmetics section to see what other Maybelline lipcolors were available.

As I was about to leave the store a Walgreens associate/employee by the name of Francesca asked if she could help me. I was thrilled someone was in Cosmetics to answer my question and to possibly order this Red-Hot lipcolor from another store since Walgreens offers Ship to Store and I have done this with other out-of-stock items in the past. Surprisingly the associate who originally handled my online order never made the effort or initiative to place my out-of-stock item as being shipped since that was an option! At any rate, Francesca said this particular store does not carry the color I wanted. I then stated, "Why do you have that color available on the Walgreens website?" She said other stores may carry it. That's when I asked her if it could be sent via Ship to Store.

Francesca stated she was not sure it would qualify since you have to have a certain amount. Excuse me? I have ordered plenty of out-of-stock items and price was never an issue. That's when Francesca was going to make a phone call to find out more information for me. As she was about to call she received a phone call and immediately took it. I figured it was a call from a vendor or some cosmetic-related concern. Instead, her phone call was of a personal nature and I waited and waited and waited for her to finish her phone call. She never once acknowledged me she had to take this call. I mean I am a customer and she decides to talk and talk when she is supposed to help me! As she was still on the phone I walked off and left the store.

I decided when I got home I would call the Store Manager, Thomas. Well…not surprisingly, Thomas is on vacation until next Thursday (whenever that is). Yes, I could have spoken with the assistant manager on duty but he hardly speaks English and I have dealt with Thomas in the past on other complaints.

No wonder these Walgreens employees rather take personal calls and not help customers when no manager is around. This is really adding insult to injury because a few weeks ago I went to his exact Walgreens location and the store was closed for nearly an hour. Of course, I complained in writing. Now I have this situation where something is out-of-stock and a Walgreens employee forgets me while I am in the store standing there waiting for assistance. I am not going to shop all over town for this item when I should have had someone offer to do a Ship to Store on my item when I first placed my online order.

This Walgreens is by far the most convenient location for me to go to or otherwise I would have stopped shopping at this wretched store a long, long time ago! I want someone to place a Ship to Store for my originally placed order of the Maybelline SuperStay Vinyl Ink Longwear No-Budge Liquid Lipcolor in the Red-Hot color NOW and send it to this particular Walgreens (Store #13031)! Thank you very much.

Walgreens Nasty lying attitude of the pharmacist on duty 3.25.23

I witness my husband calling Walgreens pharmacy the Pharmacist on duty was very UNPROFESSIONAL and rude. My husband had called on 3.24.23 the same pharmacist LIED told he he didn't have time to fill a prescription his Dr. Called in earlier that day and to call back tomorrow only to be lied to by the same Pharmacist that his Dr. Only called in 1 of the meds, my husband asked him how much he really got nasty and ask if he has insurance and told him he could not tell him. My husband has been getting meds from here with the same insurance he lied about the cost without insurance and told him when you pick up the meds I will tell you very nasty and hung up. This made me mad. This Unprofessional MAN needs to be address as how to treat customers he ain't above no one. I get my meds filled at this pharmacy and I have Never been so disgusted hearing how this ignorant so call pharmacist addressed my husband who kept his composure the entire time. Unprofessional and disgusting not accepted and he needs to be addressed and his attitude toward CUSTOMERS.

Walgreens Employee physically put hands on me

As I was shopping in Walgreens, today, I purchased a bag of syringes from the pharmacy. The pharmacy stuff was very quick and efficient. However, upon leaving at some point, I realize I did not have all of my money with me. I had some items that had already been placed in my bag. I intended on going there by the register at the front to call my boyfriend back inside for payment for the rest of my items. Before I was a good half an aisle away from the pharmacy. I was approached by a woman claiming she was the manager who snatched my bag of purchased items along with the non-purchased items out of my hand, claiming that she saw me steal them. Then she proceeded to grab my book bag from my bag. Mind you it’s a small purse, like book bag, not full-size and unzip it finding nothing stolen inside of it. After I told her I wanted to pay for the rest of my items at the front. She proceeded to tell me in front of everybody at the register to get out of her store, and refused to give me her employee number nor did she have her badge on. She followed me all the way to the door without letting me purchase the rest of my items, then threaten to call the police on me, even though I had not even gone close to any exit and simply had placed the items that were unpaid for in my bag, because I thought I was paying for them at the pharmacy when I realized I didn’t have all of my cash on me I don’t believe or at least I hadn’t had a clue that putting items in a bag to carry to the front register was illegal to do. She didn’t even let me finish shopping and insulted me the entire way up to the door about how I was a thief. Then proceeded to not give me what I had purchased out of the bag. She didn’t handle it in a professional manner let alone the way a manager most definitely should have professionally handled it. I asked her to call the police if she wants because I want to see I wanted to further prove her wrong and have it on record that she is 100% belligerent. She accuse me of giving the items to my African-American boyfriend to carry outside for me, because he had his own bags from the Family Dollar across the street, but she refused to approach him and he was just asking me how long I was going to be at the pharmacy. When I get back to my home I find the receipt for the item I bought at the pharmacy and called to speak with her. She then told me that her employee in the pharmacy told me a higher priced item then she was supposed to and that I needed to bring back the syringes immediately I explained I had the receipt and she then explained that she had the syringes there and I could come get them, but the police will be waiting for me This woman is at the very least a suspension and if she is a manager, she refused to give me her employee number and I believe that is the whole point of wearing the name tag.

I do believe it’s not illegal in Illinois for any employee to grab a person or items on them without their permission or the police presence

Desired outcome: I would her to be suspended at the very worst, or I am considering taking it to court for public embarrassment and character assassment

Walgreens Pharmacy

Hello I have been a Walgreens customer for well over 20 years. I have never in those 20 years have problems that I do now with Walgreens pharmacy several times I’ve had medication faxed over. I go to pick it up after a long eight hour shift and it’s not there and my husband takes medication. What if it’s life-threatening? I verified that it was faxed over. They never got it. It’s happened more than one time. It’s been several times I go to the drive-through. The girl that accuses me of being a being rude all I was doing asking questions. and all excuses I get is I’m short I don’t care if you’re short when there is a fax for medication that’s life-threatening. I have a problem with that there’s no excuse very upset. I don’t want to change pharmacies, but if this keeps up I might have to please have this resolved. Thank you

Was given the wrong meds called about it they said it was a new brand clearly it wasn’t they lied an I’m suffering for it .. blacked out wreck my car fell down several times got hurt been sick as a dog an know one cares wow an she got caught lying about my meds an know one had checked on me guess I could of died an know one would of knew that Walgreens gave me wrong meds an said keep taking them it’s a new medication brand … I’m furious an mad as hell .. Walgreens The Pharmacy in Hyde Park Chicago

On Thursday 3/16/23, I called Walgreens pharmacy located in Hyde Park in Chicago. I was told my prescription would be ready on 3/17/23. I went to pick up my medication on 3/18/23. When I arrived at the check-out counter the cashier said they put my order back. I then asked to speak to the supervisor. This lady is tall medium built fair skinned black woman with long black braids. She said we throw out all medications after a week, I told her its only been two days. Then she said the name of my medication out loud. I do not need people to here what kind of medication I use. We got into an argument she refused to refill my medication. This lady is not only unprofessional, but she also has no compassion for the customer, The cashier has braids one side is lightly colored and the other side is dark. She could use another orientation on how to treat customer when the walk up to your window. I was very disappointed. Please speak to the pharmacist so she doesn't mistreat, or verbal abuse anyone else.

Walgreens Medication refill

Initially called Walgreens on 6th and Kasold, Lawrence, Kansas on Saturday of last week to refill my disabled daughter — Tinisha Mitchner, Nefidimine 30 MG tabs / 90 day refill. I called 5 times today and spoke to 5 different people "claiming they were a" pharmacist "and the last person I spoke to stated her name was Kari, and when I asked her if anyone even called the doctor my daughter has who is Dr Evans located at Mt Oread Family Practice — [protected] and Kari said" No One " had even called OR sent a fax! My daughter has been on this medication for 20 years and currently has only 3 pills remaining! Someone will be responsible for all the lies and irresponsibily. I can be reached at [protected]

Walgreens Rewards and sale price

On 3/2/2023, I made purchases at store # 05774 in Citrus Heights CA. I made the eligible purchases so I would receive $10 in rewards after making purchase totaling $30+. I noticed later that these were not applied to my rewards balance. Also the Maybelline mascara I purchased should have been $8.49 but I was charged $9.49. I cannot return to the store as I was traveling and live in Idaho. See attached pictures. Thanks.

Desired outcome: $1.00 + tax returned for the incorrect charge for mascara and my $10 in rewards added to my rewards account under phone number [edited]

Walgreens Pharmacy at 12th and Santa Fe, Moore OK. 73160

I called the pharmacy at said location and Victor answered the phone. I asked if my about a prescription and he said in a raised voice, "you already had this filled". I then stated my doctor raised the dose of my medication and I asked if she had called it in yet. Victor then stated very quickly, "nope". I then called my doctor and she confirmed the prescription. I called the pharmacy back and the another tech had answered and the problem was resolved. I am extremely shocked by the treatment I received from Victor, I usually am pleased with the service I receive at this location; however, I am extremely dissatisfied and am considering doing my business at a different organization altogether.

Walgreens Pharmacy

1st of all, only 2 people are in the pharmacy. One fills the prescriptions, the other one services 2 drive through lanes and the inside counter. On March 6, 2023, my doctor sent in an rx for me at 11 a.m. it wasn't ready until about 7 p.m

Horrible service. When I got home, I discovered that I was given and paid $10.46 for an added rx that shows as being prescribed by another doctor. That rx had been prescribed for me about 1 month ago and I had picked it up back then and took the pills. There was no addtl rx called in for me for this medicine! For your reference, the rx #is [protected]. Bottom line, my insurance company I were charged for an rx NOT prescribed. I'm attempting to change my rx store to a different one. This is the store at Pemberton Road and Hwy 80 in Pearl MS. This pharmacy is a horrible nightmare and shouldn't be operational!

Walgreens Your cowardly decision to cave to rightwing politicians over mifepristone

So, what did those rightwing AGs in 24 states threaten you with? Death? Having to have a baby against your will? Having your right to privacy and to make your own choices taken away from you? Losing the treatment for some other disorder you have, or the hope of successful trials? Because those are some of the outcomes your shameful, disgraceful choice will have on people in these states.

You are supposedly in the health CARE business, but you make me sick to my stomach and trembling with disgust and anger. Instead of fighting in court for your right to supply a safe, well-researched, much-needed medication to women and other people who depend on it, you have left them to fend for themselves. The FDA, the Federal government, doctors, women, veterans and people suffering from a variety of disorders mean nothing to you, but the threat you've received from these misguided, disrespectful, colluding, unscientific, meddling AGs has you running scared?

My husband and I have a Walgreen's store right up the street from us, and I'm shocked that a pharmacy chain I trust has made such a politically motivated ruling that is in no way science based. What else can I not trust you with?

Walgreens Phone service

I’ve been a Walgreens customer for more than 20 years now, great pharmacy or better yet WAS, a great pharmacy. I understand COVID changed a lot of services now is the shortage of staff which I work in retail and also understand. But to call and be on HOLD for 1 hr and 53 minutes and then pooff get disconnected. Calling the pharmacy really sucks not worth recommending this pharmacy any longer.

Walgreens Not filling prescriptions

I have had many issues with them not filling prescriptions on time them suddenly turning off my auto refill on the app and constantly lying to me and telling me a script will be ready at a certain time then it not be sometimes for days but this recent occurrence has been one of the worst, they where sent an specific order for a certain type of needle I need including other things I need with it but what they gave me was a completely different needle that I cannot use for my medicine which I’m presuming they just had lying around it wasn’t the order given at all and they gave me none of the things that go with it, I called to let them know this they said they will order what I need and it will be there later that day it’s a few days later they still do not have it and when my mom went to complain the pharmacist go angry with her even though they are the ones who so badly messed up now I need to take that injection tomorrow and I don’t even know what to do

Desired outcome: First of DO BETTER is what I want you to do this has gone on to long, I would also like an apology for me and my mother and most of all I would like my order that you where supposed to fill
