clams casino
Hi, I really dislike complaining, but, I treated myself to your pre-prepared clams casino. It was only 7.00, but it was a treat for me after a long day.
I found them very salty, as I did w/a chicken dish that I hadn't cared for & told you about. I am a big supporter & shopper at Weges, so it takes a lot for me to say something.
It also was not very clammy, more stuffing & peppers. I also, although stated on the package, had several bites of shell. Don't know if it was a coincidence, but all day Sat. I had an upset stomach, ginger ale to the rescue.
I only complain as I know you like feedback & always try to improve. Thank you for your time.

truck driving
I was on Westbound 66 in Fairfax Virginia on 9/3/2017 at 8:30 pm. A Wegmans truck #7228 was driving behind me in the next lane to my right. I attempted to move over after signaling and the truck sped up to keep me from moving over. The truck did this 3 more times. I was finally able to move over. The truck then sped up behind me flashing his lights and honking.

Dear Wegmans,
This letter was prompted by our latest shopping experience (8/24/17) at the Frederick Maryland Store. My wife and I do a major market every three or four weeks and typically look forward to finding something special that we have not had for a while which would be great for dinner. We noticed a display of lump crab meat for $34.99/lb. (Pontchartrain Blues) and thought it would be great for that evenings dinner. Your associate in a white hat and gown offered to pack the crab in ice for us. That evening I opened the package to scan the crab meat for shells and noticed an unusual odor, then I noticed that the date on the bottom of packaging indicated best by 8/17/18, which did not make sense for crab meat. We attempted to make crab cakes. When we tasted them, they had a peculiar taste and smell and we had to throw the crab meat out.
Another item we purchase that same day was a bag of onions. When we unpacked the groceries, we found several onions wet and a rotten one in the bag.
What is going on? We consider your store as a high-quality place to purchase food with a diversity of products not found at other stores. Consumers Report rated Wegmans as the best. We are losing confidence based on our latest shopping experience.
Sincerely,
Barry and Erika Mikesell
cafe closing early
Hi my name is Joshuva John and I am a student at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. I am currently living in Erie and utilize the Wegman's café as a place to study. I was recently informed that Wegman's has decided to close the café starting at 10 pm. There are dozens of people who sit in this café until about 3 am studying for exams on some nights. Wegman's was the only place that stayed open this late and is a place where I have come to study since when I am at home it is harder to focus. I am sending this as a plea to help out not only me but a community of students who utilize this café as a study space. I appreciate the consideration of my request in advance and hope that you can change the policy that may be put into affect.
Thank you,
Joshuva John
tropicana 120 oz. grovestand orange juice
Because of your past poor customer service on various issues our shopping habits had changed for the better with the least amount of aggravation encountered. Proud to say, Wegmans has the the distinct honor of being our third go to food supplier. However, issues that were complained about previously have not been corrected! Wegman's Hamburg Store revamped the refrigerated juice equipment and promptly relocated the Tropicana gallon jugs to the floor level. On August 18, 2017, went to purchase 4 Tropicana Juice jugs Grovestand variety. The shelves were not stocked. There were 5 available and of the 5, 2 had crushed necks. This is a sore spot since I had previously contacted Tropicana to alert them of the issue in the past since apparently Wegman's appeared incapable of resolving the damaged jugs. Tropicana admits that it is their fault so why am I seeing damaged jugs on the shelf? To add insult to injury, I as a senior citizen must get on my hands and knees in order to determine if there were more that 5 jugs to pick from. This to me is just plain stupid especially from an ergonomic viewpoint. So you can see why Wegman's does not rank anywhere near the top in my food suppliers. However, the good news was that I had found one of the employees who was able to get 4 new jugs that were not damaged. The salient question here is when will Wegman's get its act together to prevent any damaged jugs from being put on the shelves? And by the way, a few weeks earlier, shopped at Wegman's West Seneca Store for the same items. Same damaged jug condition. However an employee reworked the damaged jug by forcing the crushed neck back into position. He did not check to see if the jug contained micro-cracks. Neither did I since I did not purchase any juice at that time. And yet, Wegman's continues to receive high marks. Cannot believe this since your check out belts were again filthy. Luckily for me this abuse has been minimized for I for Wegman's still ranks low in my book as a worthwhile food supplier.

Hello,
My Shoppers Club number is [protected]. Saturday, August 19th I purchased groceries. One of the items purchased was basil, which comes in a plastic sleeve as the basil is in a clump of dirt and water to keep it fresh. When I got home I realized the person who bagged my groceries laid the basil down in the bag instead of standing it up and then stacked groceries on top of it. This crushed the basil leaves, but more significantly it spilled the water and dirt on my other groceries. A loaf of bread was in the same bag, and one end is now soaked with essentially mud. I also looked over my receipt and saw I had been charged for beets. I did not purchase beets. I'd appreciate a refund on the loaf of bread ($2.75), and for the beets ($1.34). Photos are attached.
Thanks for your help, Annie Trizna
cashier's receipt
This is the second time I noticed the cashier over charging for produce. I purchased "Green Grapes" earlier today and noticed the cashier charged me $3.99 lb. instead of the sale price of $1.99 lb. Well, I travel more than 15 miles to shop at Wegmans. By the time I travel back to the store, I would spend more on the gas. From now on I will check my receipt while at the store. However, it would help if the cashiers know the active prices. OP# 367715 dated 08/11/17 * 10100 Reisterstown road, Owings Mills, MD 21117 RCPT: 21083
lettuce on side salad at burger bar and service
We just tried the eat in burger place on Reisterstown Road in Baltimore. The staff was not balanced to adequately serve customers. My family complained about the wait to give the order and for the good. I got a side salad. The lettuce was rotten. I took a picture. We spent $32 on dinner and the best thing was the fountain drinks. I was very surprised at the organization, staffing and food. [protected]@live.com
customers service
I had bought a sub, fountain drink, and a medium soup. First, market cafe checkout was closed so I checked out at the buzz which is fine. I paid with cash and the lady working didn't even ask me if I wanted my receipt and proceeded not to give me one. I sat down to eat then my entire soup was burned. The chef that was out said yes it was and sent me over to customer service so I could get a refund. At customer service desk they had thought I didn't pay for it yet and sent me back to the buzz where I had checked out to get a receipt. So I went basick and asked the same lady as before if I could please have my receipt. She said oh I have no idea that was so long ago, do you want a bag for that? At this point I was so fed up I left without getting more soup. The point is not about the soup it's the fact that the workers had no respect for an 18 year old girl trying to get lunch. The customer service desk and the lady working at the buzz were both condescending and all I was looking forward to was a bowl of soup but no.
customer service desk
2 times I was treated extremely poorly by the same woman at the Customer Service desk. Unfortunately, I did not pay attention to her name tag, though the first visit, I do believe it said "Manager", and I was surprised. I don't usually complain, and wouldn't this time, however, it was the 2nd time and the same woman. Middle aged African American-Bottom line, between the rolling of her eyes and chatting with another female employee behind the counter, I just wanted to tell her how rude she was, but had a feeling she really didn't give a damn! Such a shame because every other employee has hit it out of the park. Word WILL get around guickly! Doubt my family will put up with that...
store manager
Hi my name is donavent vaden I'm a 30 year old African American male who loves and goes to your store in Elmira all the time.today I go in to pick up a prescription some candy for my stepdaughter who was with me a ginger ale and a beer when I got to the register the cashier look at my ID and than cut on the light for assistance. He than whisper too the manger and the manger says to me that because I'm with my stepdaughter who is ten and I'm 30 we're too close in age for them to sell me the beer.I found this disgusting that if this is a real policy why is it not any signs stating that and I'm pretty sure family come in all the time and don't have the same problem I did please fix this wrong.
larvae/maggot infestation in wegmans 90% lean ground beef
Product name: 90% lean ground beef
Product barcode: [protected]
Use by or freeze date: 06/29/2017
Distributed by Wegmans Food Mkts #82
I purchased this ground beef on Wednesday (28 June) and prepared it today (Thursday, 29 June). The beef was properly stored in the refrigerator throughout this time. After cooking and serving it to my family, and after we had consumed half the beef, we found two large nests of hundreds of white larvae/small maggots in the beef.
Desired solution: Cost and compensation for the product, advise on Wegmans attempts to locate point of infestation or failure to maintain hygiene and food safety procedures.
ground beef
I went to Cherry Hill Wegmans to buy some ground beef. When got home and started mixing it with spices, it turned out to be dark brown inside. However, from the top it looked red as if it was just packed. I have a feeling that they covered old ground beef with a fresh one! It looked absolutely disgusting. Would you feed your kids with this?! I hope you can see a pic of this nasty ground beef!
handsome brook eggs
I understand that one of the brands of eggs Wegman's sells, Handsome Brook Eggs, is mislabeled as "Pasture Raised". It isn't. I want to know that the food I'm buying at stores is what it says it is, either free-range, pasture raised or Organic. Please get stores to stop selling these eggs until they are actually FROM pastured or free-range chickens!

deli meat
I was at wegmans on Friday the 2nd in brockport, ny at the deli I ordered a some el Cerritos Serrano ham, when I got home the package was just a ball a ham not sliced and placed sheets of paper. It turned into a ball of meat not good enough to serve to our guests. I have pictures if you would like to see what I was given. I would think when you are trained to cut deli meat that you would package it like you know what your doing.
subs
My family and I have always loved the wegmas subs. They were meaty, lots of ingredients too with the sub sauce made it one of the best subs especially for the price. WELL ... My wife and I went to wegmans Johnson City to on Sunday 5/21/17. We got our groceries and decided we would get a sub. My wife went over as I got in line to pay for the groceries. She came back and told me the counter has been redone, lower so you can see everything better. She said you can believe what they have done to their subs. I said what do you mean. She said you know how they used to be meaty? I sai ya they are awesome she said not anymore there is like 3 pieces of meat on the sub and we ordered the famous wegmas classic! We got home and I opened the sub and it is a huge disappointment. I guess we will be going to Sub Way for our subs for now on. I hope they correct this problem as we will start shopping at Price Chopper and Weis as they are closer to our home
strawberries
I purchased a whole thing of strawberries on wegmans Holt Road. I just got done chopping all of them up and put some in other containers because there was so many. Then put some in my yogurt recipe. Then the last little bit was gonna just eat but there was a bee on the plate (dead). Half of a bee. The other part with the stinger is mia. I guess I could cross my fingers and eat it still examine as I go but that's annoying. I did rinse the strawberries so I don't know how it still was in there. I called Holt Rd and they said the next time your in we'll give you new strawberries or money back. I said but I put it in my yogurt which I got to throw out. She asked what exactly are you looking for me to do. Well, I didn't want to point out the obvious, but I thought she offer the yogurt I have to throw out too but. I mean I'm sure I'm being a baby but I don't really want to eat bee.

organic green peppers
I am a well educated foodie. I decide what I want to put into my body and GMO products are not allowed. I purchased about $80 worth of Organic Green Peppers from your Canandaigua Store in August and September 2016. I cut some and froze them to enjoy later and I roasted most and canned them. I saved the seeds from these organics peppers to re-plant in the spring 2017.
Some information pertinent to this is that produce from GMO products DO NOT germinate. Organic or non GMO produce can and will germinate if they are truly non GMO. Here's the issue and I am SICK ABOUT THIS...I started the germination process of the "SO-CALLED ORGANIC" peppers 10 days ago. I also started the germination process on other seeds that were heirloom or organic - making sure to keep all variety of seeds separate. The wegmans organic pepper seeds have not germinated where as the other seeds are about 75% germinated. In addition the wegmans organic green peppers seeds have started to produce a mildew odor - NOT MY OTHER SEEDS. As I said I'm sick over this, I've been eating GMO peppers all winter. This is a huge betrayal of trust and I'm not sure at this point what course of action I will take. I have to get over the shock and betrayal before I can think rationally. I do, however, believe this is not going to be an easy ordeal for wegmans to cover up
birthday cake
On April 14, I contacted the Wegmans store in State College, PA. I ordered a cake for 12 people. I asked for lemon filling, decorated with fresh strawberries and "Happy Birthday Sky", with balloons and flowers, and leaving it up to the decorator's creativity to make it look pretty.
When I picked it up, running late for all I needed to do for the party, I could not believe what it looked like. It was very small, only decorated with 3 small balloons, and no strawberries. When I asked about it she said they are on the inside... lemon and strawberry filling? I had to take her word for it, and the cake was $31! I was embarrassed to serve it, I only got 8 small slices. As for strawberries ($8 for filling?) there may have been one or two strawberries sliced so thinly there was no strawberry flavor to it at all.
I should not have accepted the cake, but because I was late, I did. When I cut and served the cake we had several slices with absolutely no strawberries in it at all. I am just so disappointed. I ordered from Wegmans because the buttercream icing is usually the best in the area, but I cannot do this again.
Sincerely,
Susan Radel
