To Whom It May Concern:
I would have never imagined that because I stayed at home with my father 24-7 taking care of him... that would have a bearing on the equity I inherited in his home, passed directly to me through trust; I only asked Wells Fargo Bank to modify the existing secured loan to the same principle net ammount as I could have (as Agent and attorney for Him, my father) ANY time...the FULL $362, 000.00+ Dollars Available to Him;(of which the 140, 000.00) Remained in a Wells Fargo Local Account, all the while, Earning the Wells Fargo Bank daily Interest. The Wells Fargo Bank at Fort Mill S.C. did not make any attempt to respond to my request, during the time needed to "avoid their acceleration" of the loan to the point that it has (as a result of their actions) come to.
Wells Fargo Bank actions by Mss. Dana Flota (and others) have done irreputable damage to my person, and as a result, may have even lowered my FICO SCORE of 761.Wells Fargo Bank made the Loan based Entirely upon Equity in the Homestead, and nothing else, and under that same exact premise, did discriminate against my person and character by not contacting me with a response to my loan modification request and proposal;insuing resulting hardship and suffering on my part, parcel, and person.
Any legal actions as a result of these actions on the part of all individuals in connection with Wells Fargo Bank will be further construed as in colusion; and party to such actions.

I made the mistake of getting an auto loan with Wells Fargo in September 2017. The auto dealership set up a bi weekly payment plan in which the 1/2 payments were taken out of my checking account every other Friday and sent to Wells Fargo. The calls from Wells Fargo started with the very 1st month's payment due date and have continued for 18 months. While all payments were well within the 10 day grace period and I have no late payments showing on my payment history I was still harassed every month. They call all hours of the day and night, Sundays included, with a recorded message when you pick up the phone to "Please hold"... After I learned the phone number from the caller ID I would hang up. Who calls someone and asks them to hold for 5 minutes until they are ready to talk? When I was feeling like I should answer I would hold for how ever long just to get some ### that had nothing worthwhile to say, but would harass me anyway. I explained the biweekly plan no less than 18 times to this bank - but everytime it was like the first time to them. I have recently found another finance source for my car and now the real fun begins. Because I have a partial payment that was due (because of the biweekly plan) before I can get the payoff amount - Wells Fargo can't seem to find it in them to post to my account the check I mailed them 11 days ago. They continue to call me about $53.00 some odd dollars that is 10 days late, according to them. My payments are normally $313.00 which means I am paid ahead! Today, they asked me to do a bank check over the phone and continued to ask me stupid questions - "why is the payment 10 days late"? My guess is it's either sitting on someones desk who happens to be on spring break or they are refusing to post the account because they know I am refinancing the loan. Either way I can't believe it takes 11 days for a check to get from New York to California and get posted to my account. I have two fellow employees who have a car loan with them and the phone is ringing off the hook here at work with the same harassment to them. Anyone who does any business with this company is out of their mind! Their interest rates are exorbitant, there service is terrible at best and I will never do business with them in any form or fashion ever. You might want to consider doing the same.
We bought furniture from Raymour and Flanigan. The mattress in the sofa bed wasn't great but our problem was with Wells Fargo bank. We financed with Wells Fargo.
They started off by sending us the bills a day or two before the due dates, we always paid more than the bill amount. They cashed one check but did not apply the credit to our account and sent us a late charge! We called and they were real nasty.
After they realized that we had the cancelled check, the guy at Wells Fargo says" as a courtesy I will remove the late charge" Courtesy?
I have just witnessed a bank robbery - the bank robbed me. I walked into a Wells Fargo to deposit some money into my checking account and was informed it had been closed with a zero balance. This, after a long discussion with the manager of the Keystone branch who credited me back $12 to a free checking account. He specifically told me (a lie) that the checking account would remain with $12 balance -- after charging me $50 in fees that I did NOT know about and that I will never recover. This happened because a new employee signed me up for a product that was NOT WHAT I ASKED for and they subsequently charged me monthly for having $300 in my savings, but not my checking, or visa versa, I don't remember. In any case, Wells Fargo owes me $62 which I will never retreive. I have been robbed by Wells Fargo. Another shameless white collar crime.
First Incident:
I opened a Wells Fargo account in Denver, CO for school. I had been a 3-4 year customer of BoA and had no intention of changing but I was unfortunately forced to as BoA does not have branches in Colorado.
At first, Wells Fargo representatives were charming and when I was fraudulently overcharged (the first overcharge ever) they did not count it against me. However, they were not so kind for further experiences.
After not checking my account for a 3 day period, I signed on to look and lo' and behold I was overdrawn in the hundreds. The cause? A $5 overdraft, hit with a NSF fee of $15, and an overdraft fee of $35. A $5 overdraft that did not exist mind you, it was another one of their banking mistakes. I called them, the issue was sorted, but they did not refund me the money they took from me, and I stayed in the red.
This overdraft ridiculousness then continued. I was being hit with overdraft fee over overdraft fee. Being hit with overdraft fees FOR my overdraft fees and very shortly I again had $200+ overdrawn. When I attempted to get help they claimed it was from 2 weeks ago when I made a $10 withdrawal at my campus ATM and that it took 2 weeks for it to debit. That it was my fault.
They of course did not return any of my money. And for the Consumer rebuttal fanatic who will say I should not rely on online as my guide, I didn't, I use a check register. Wells Fargo defrauded me. Period.
Second Incident:
I had written a check to myself (to transfer money acct to acct) from my BoA account to my Wells Fargo account. Before doing this, I called the bank and asked them how soon I would have access to the money. They told me I'd have check card access today, and cash access tomorrow morning at 8am.
I went into the bank and when the teller accessed my account, I very plainly asked him, 'Regardless of my negative standing the check will have access immediately through my card, correct?' He then informed me yes it will, and deposited my check for me.
I then attempted to go to Burger King only to have my card denied.
I called the number on the back of my card and was informed that because of the $200+ overdraft (incurred from the First Incident) that the check would not clear until the next morning for ANYTHING regardless of what the teller had said. I immediately called the bank, and the same Teller who had just said the negative standing did not matter, then proceeded to tell me that because I was in the red, it would not clear until morning.
He then proceeded to tell me that, however, if I made another deposit, this first check would cover the $200+ overdraft, and I would then have immediate access. So, I made another check deposit of $980. I was assured I would be covered.
I again, tried to use my card and it was declined.
I called the number on the back of my card again (as it was now approx. 5 minutes after 6PM and the bank was unsurprisingly already locked down). I was then informed of the same, that it would not be available until the next morning. When I asked if I could have some money released tonight (as I needed it) he then, in a very enthusiastic voice, said it was not possible and bid me a good evening.
Moral of the story: Wells Fargo sucks.
It's called "Stagecoach Robbery" ! You are not alone. They have stolen billions of dollars with the overdraft fee scam.
I recently Received a check for 1, 000 from a friend to help cover my rent for the month of November 2017. I deposited it by Atm on a Saturday, Expecting the funds to clear by wednesday or thursday. When the money failed to appear I called the National Customer Service Line and was informed that a 21 day hold was placed on the check because they could nt verify funds in the acccount the check was drawn on. Which is laughable because my friend is a multi-millionnaire, and the account is an Assets Management Account, that liquidates assets on demand to cover checks drawn on it. I called my friend and she called her bank, and they faxed over the information supposedly necessary to release the hold. Should be end of story...but NO...
This Woman Erin I'm forced to deal with promised she would get right on verifying the funds, making sure the hold was released.
She did nothing of the sort! She spent the next 5 business days avoiding my calls, claimed she never received the fax, refused to return my calls, and gave me the run around at every turn.
By this time, actually even before all of this rigamarole, the check had cleared my friends account! Wells was holding on to MY money to verify there was funds in an account they already knew was Solvent! I have been to the bank personally now three times in an effort to have this resolved, I have personally contacted the bank in Missouri and spoken with the account rep. and she has been more than helpful in attempting to help me resolve the matter.
Today I went in and waited for ERIN to return from a leisurely jaunt to go get some iced coffee with her co-workers, when she returned I expressed my exsasperation, that I was facing eviction, that I had already called the bank in Missouri and the account rep there was ready for a phone call to get this straightened out, and one of her co-workers blithely informed me she needed to make a conference call for this, and wouldn't be available for another hour! I said I would return at 10.30 sharp, that I was determined to get this matter resolved this morning, today by the latest! I am definitely moving banks as soon as this fiasco is over.
I'm at the end of my rope and I only have myself to blame after being told repeatedly to leave Wells Fargo a long time ago. In 2017 and moved from another bank to Wells Fargo. I did a debit transfer of $10, 000.00 to them to lower my interest and payment. Three years later I got a huge bonus from work and paid it off with one check. Since then I have set up auto pay for all my bills and overdraft protection to their Visa Platinum card that climbed to a limit of $20, 000.00 and like others, the bills hit during times when the funds are low and this causes an overdraft. For five years I average about $3, 000.00 a year over to the Visa card which I always pay off. Last July they started moving the due dates around. One bill would show a due date of the 10th and another the 15th. In August for the first time ever I missed it all together? I did spot this on their website so I made a double payment. November come around and I only a couple dates late but this was fixed by simply paying the single bill. January '09 comes and this happens again. All the time there's no overdrafts so I'm thinking I'm in good shape so I spend some extra think I can handle the overdraft like I', acustomed to and life moves on. Here's were things get really ugly! I open my AOL account to read emails and there overdraft notices all over the place? I see three on 03/27/09 which is also pay day. I immediately go to their website and find that I'm sitting negative $256.24? My pay checks gone and there's eight overdrafts over the past two weeks? Remebr when I said that my Visa has a $20, 000.00 limit and is the source for overdraft? I call them and is get down write stupid. I get this second or third level person who explains that in November after I was late with only a second payment, they decided to cut my Visa limit to only $2, 900.300. She then explains that since then, every time I swiped my ATM card there was a $35.00 fee attached to each transaction no mater how large or small and that I have hit the $2, 900.00 limit a few weeks ago. I then asked about the 27th and why three? It's because I used it three times that day and they had gabbed all my money wright after it was deposited. I told her that on transaction was for an energy drink only and this person could see a small purchase that caused a fee. That alone translates into a $38.00 single can of energy drink. I told her that I signed up for $50.00 dollar incriments and this person told me that, that was only when it goes to the Visa card, all other overdrafts are for each transaction? I told her to please remove these because they are totaly unfair and also asked her why wasn't I ever notified of this issue? This person simply claims I was and told me "I'm denying your request because your account is overdrawn"? I told this person that you folks did it and it can and should be removed. Denied again. This person then reminded me that my next payment is due on the 15th but I told her that the automated message said the 10th. This person then said that's a grace period? Now their way out in left field. I then tell this person that now that they took all my money, how can I pay my other bill and YOURS? This person goes silent for a moment then responds that the payments due on the 15th? I told this person that I was in total shock a the way they are treating me after all these years and all the hundreds of dollars I've payed them over the years. This person then says "Would you like to make a payment now"? Are you kidding me? Were am I going to get the money? I told this person that they are not going to win this. I stopped the auto depost for my paycheck. Call all the companies that I have set up with auto pay and turned them back to paper and cashed out a major chunk of my retirement stocks to cover me during this crisis. Most banks would have worked something out but not Wells Fargo. They train their people to be ruthless. It's not a computer program that decides issues for them, it's the people. I know for fact that they are in the wrong and this person could have removed as least one of the fees but just plain didn't want to. If there's anyone that's filed or filing a lawsuite against them then please do and you can count me in or I will simply go it alone.
I am with you, just had the same experience. We had a $15, 000 limit for overdraft and just received funds where we were able to pay off and then out of nowhere our account was closed. We own our own business and with the economy the way it is, collecting money takes a bit longer so we depended on the overdraft to help us out when needed. We have always made our payments and took care of any insufficient funds immediately, even before a letter could be sent. We work hard and worked hard to get this limit. I went to the bank today and of course they were unable to assist even though that is where we signed up to begin with, we have to call the actually credit company. They were very quick though to have me apply once again though. They seem to have no problems charging ridiculous fees and debiting our account for them but when it comes to anything else they are useless. I am just sick to my stomach and beside myself on this one. If I knew they were going to do this I would not have paid it off, I guess being a good person and trying to do the right thing, just doesn't pay off when dealing with Wells Fargo or their credit service. I think we should have received some sort of documentatin saying this was indeed going to happen or even cutting the credit in half for the time being, but to completely close the account with no warning is outrageous. We have been a customer since it was First Interstate Bank. I hate jumping around and I believe in stability and loyality, apparently they do not have the same beliefs. I also plan on filing a complaint with the Federal Reserve and any other entity I believe will have an impact.
Whenever a customer of Wells Fargo Bank goes overdraft, Wells Fargo rearranges the order of charges in order to get as many finance charges as they can. Their common tactic with this scheme is to place the biggest charge first to make a customer overdraft, then place the little charges afterwards. Wells Fargo will even retroactively change the date of a recent charge even if it wasn't pending in order to hit their customers with more finance charges. In other industries such as the pharmaceutical industry, this is called back dating and is a felony in those industries.
This last week, my mother was recently snagged by this policy. The net result was over $250 worth of finance charges. What happened was that Wells Fargo decided to take a large charge out a few days earlier than it was supposed to be taken out. If the proper date was followed the account would have never been overdraft in the first place.
My older brother was financially ruined by the practice. He has since closed his account with Wells Fargo. I have been hit myself, with the use of back dating used as part of the charge manipulation practices I mentioned. I wrote my report as a response to a similar incident involving Wells Fargo I just read today.
We as American consumers need to report this to the BBB. I highly suspect that this policy is standard for Wells Fargo. To be honest, the only way these banks are going to change their dishonest practices is if they suffer financial damages, such as for example, a steep fine paid to the victim per manipulated charge.
You still wrote checks that you didnt have money in your account to cover. if you had money in your account to cover the checks you wrote, you wouldnt have to worry about it. doesnt sound like the banks fault to me.
This exact same thing happened to me today. A large check posted to my account sooner than I thought; however, that should mean only one OD charge. Instead, they back dated pending debit card charges that had already been authorized before the check came in. So instead of one OD charge I have now been hit with 5 $35 charges...so far. All of those little charges should have posted first and there was money to cover that, instead they posted the higher amout check that came in later which wiped out my account. They did the same thing to me in February. This bank is as crooked as they come...###!
Started about two years ago they "forgot" to pay my taxes from our escrow account, so my local county office sent us notice that the house was to be auctioned in seven days! We notified wells fargo, yeah they scrambled to pay it, but they failed to tell us it came from our escrow the next year which in turn sent the escrow in the negative. Now every year we received a surplus overage check from excess in the escrow account, we always called to be sure everything had been taken care of. We actually would take those checks and pay a house note. So they punished us the next year by raising our note by almost $300. We spoke to everyone we could about this, and did not get anywhere. Then we had a modification done, and did everything exactly as they said to do, but this year we found out they are saying we faulted. If that was true why would they restart the loan? We went to try and refinance, and were told that countrywide was out lender, "we were never informed of this". So since our note was sent to them after wells fargo was so nice to use countrywide, instead of the fannie may or freddie mac. We have once again been screwed by wells fargo. So after five years in a home we worked so hard to keep, and land we love to live on we are being forced to give up our home to a short sale to prevent foreclosure going on our record. This so called bail out, and people getting the help they need is a bunch of crap.
On April 24, 2017 I signed documents for home mortgage refinancing with Wells Fargo Bank (original mortgage WFC) branch at Monterey Park, Ca. I informed both the Escrow, Inc. & Wells Fargo representative that I believed that I had to stop my previous mortgage monthly payment. They assured me that this would be taken care of at the time of the WFC mortgage closeout from the original mortgage. This did not occur & I was given misinformation by WFC staff. On May 5, 2017 $989.09 dollars was applied to my previous mortgage payment and remains unavailable for approximately one month (check issue & mailing). Wells Fargo staff has continuously misrepresented information either though omission or fabrication, whether, checking, VISA and mortgage accounts over the past 7 months since the account sign on.
I feel I will be continuously be 'duped' by WFC BANK I my commerce dealings.
my husband was injured at work and was not able to work for nearly two years so money is very tight and bills are piling up we have had our wells fargo checking account for over 12 years. he recently returned to work and we took a loan out to cover our mortgage( also with wells fargo) to begin catching up on past due bills we had deposited my husbands payroll checks for 4 consecutive weeks when on the 5th week my husbands jobs bank made an error my husbands boss stated it was corrected. the problem was wfb took it upon there selfs to hold the payroll check for over 16 days when i went to the bank on monday they stated they would call the branch that placed the hold and would have them redeposit it they never did i went back on weds to say the funds were still not released and was told they can't release it until the hold was up when i asked why the check was just not declined so that we could have the option to collect the funds ourselfs they told me because wf would have charged me 7.00 i told the lady the company would have reimbursed me because thier bank offered that company reimbursment for any charges charged toby his employees bank because they made on error i was basicly told thats how they roll. we ate soup and beans for 12 days thanks to wf and our autistic son was not able to go to his therepy because we had no gas money. wf did a great job helping thier customer who had been loyal to them for over 12 years they got all there mort money plus 2 years worth of late payments on our mortgage so i am sure wf employees ate well those 2 weeks. thanks for nothing wf way to go
I opened a minor savings account for my new son who was about to turn one and wanted all of his birthday money to go into the new account. A whole month after I opened the account I kept receiving notices that the bank was missing ID information on my baby. So I took the notice in and gave appropriate ID and 2 weeks ago today the bank shut down and closed all of my accounts, including my debit card, checking account and 3 savings accounts without notifying me, after of course they told me everything was fine with all my accounts. And it just so happens that the day my accounts were closed was bill day, the day I sent off all the bills for the month. So I go into the local branch after talking with the extremely rude call center and I speak with the Assistant Vice President of the Corona, CA branch and he sat down wth me and found out that all of my accounts were closed due to bank error! And all of my money was withdrawn and sent in check form to my house. This was 2 weeks ago, my checks for my bills are all bouncing, rent is due tomorrow and I'm out $1600 due to bank error. The Assistant Vice President keeps telling me "any day now". The bank has done NOTHING to compensate me except order me a custom design box of checks for free. And the funniest part about this is that they cannot put a stop payment on the check they issued since there is no tracking number! What is wrong with this? DO NOT USE WELLS FARGO-BAD FRAUDULENT BUSINESS
I had hail damage on August 13th 2017. I received a check from my Insurance company with in one week. When I went to Wellsfargo in St.Cloud MN I was told because it was over $15.000 dollars it would have to go to the banks claim department. Here is where the horror story starts. It took many days off work to keep water from flooding my kitchen and two bathrooms because the skylights were broken out. I made so many calls to Wellsfargo to plead with them to send the 1st part of the money out, since it gets paid out in 3 payments.
I tried to keep tarps on the roof but it was to windy and they kept tearing and blowing off. I could not get a contractor to come out with no money down and when some of them found out that Wellsfargo had the mortgage they refused to work for me because they feared that they would not get paid. I was repeatedly lied to by them saying that they mailed the check out only to find out it didn't get sent until October 2nd.In the beginning of this I told Wellsfargo that there was a purchase agreement written on my house and closing was set for Oct, 26th. I have yet to see any more of the Insurance money.
So I am asking you to help me figure out where the money is and how do I get something that is rightfully mine. AS of today I only received 1/3rd of the $18.000 dollars. This is not right and I will fight this to thew end.
This happened to us as well...our loss occurred on July 22nd, and we have yet to be paid by Wells Fargo for anything. I think a class action lawsuit is definately a must!
I deposited a insurance check on Oct.5th 2017 at the ATM thinking that this check would clear in a couple of days the check was for $1754.60 written on Citibank for Travelers Insurance Company. I received a notice from wfb that they would release the check on 10.09.09 when I checked my account and called the bank they informed me that the check will be on hold for 3 weeks until the 23rd of this month which is total bs.
I to have a home mortgage with wfb and the insurance check was for storm damage to the house that I cannot repair until the check is deposited into my account. I have spoke to several CSR's to try to get this resolved and they all tell me the same old thing that I have to wait. I am a single mom with children and have used money that I don't have to make some repairs that were important which left me with the elect. and water bills due I told the CSR that while they are telling me to wait how well will that work with out standing bills b/c the elect. company will not wait. Everyone of the CSR's that I have spoke to have been rude to me and non caring. When this check does finally clear I will close my account and will tell all my friends and family not to do business with them not only that the bank did release 300.00 of the check on that friday and thinking that I had the money available to me they took it back and charged me with $35.00 NSF fees and they made dam sure that they took the money out of the check that is on hold.
Someone used my bank card at a gas station that I NEVER use. I complained to the bank and they refuse to give me $60 back. I written letters and letters and they tell me the same thing. That they looked into it and I am not going to get my money.
The Wells Fargo bank is at the corner of Story and King Roads in east San Jose, CA.
Wells Fargo usually will give you a provisional credit until they research it. I am surprised at your complaint. The gas station also has cameras that will actually show who used your card and even record their license plate number, so unless you gave someone your card and your pin number the bank would surely help you.
As long as the charge is less than 60 days old they should open a dispute for the unauthorized charge. However, you are usually required to block your card and get a new one reissued. You'll also most likely have to sign some kind of affidavit stating that you did not authorize or participate in the transaction. If you refuse to sign it or you don't return it in time, then the bank is not required to issue a credit for that charge. If you aren't having any luck at your local branch, call the number on the back of your card or on the back of your monthly statement.
Obama says that he will see to it that banks cooperate in the modification of home loans to avoid foreclosure. My granddaughter and family have been trying (WF is very hard to connect with) to get a modification. Husband is working but pay has been cut as well as hours. There are three small children. Mom is going to school to get into a nursing job to help the family. They are trying so hard, but as it goes now they face foreclosure. Does WF really want another house?
We moved here from Canada 2 yrs ago with over $200, 000 cash. I had to wait 4 yrs for my visa. We bought a house for $300, 000 and put approximately 100, 000 down on it. We then had to spend another $20, 000 to repair it. Since then I have put another 60, 000 (large shop) into the property and I have worked for a US company for 8 months then started a business employing profesionals in the area. The bank would not put my name on the mortgage because I was still working for a Canadian company. I was a long haul trucker and owned a 2017 Volvo truck free and clear and drove from Calgary, Alberta to Miami and various points along the mexican border hauling meat. They also would not accept my Canadian credit information which was very good, but religated me to that of a high school grad with nothing. At that point I was worth about $250, 000 and had only the new mortgage as debt. I applied for a credit card and was turned down because of lack of credit history. My Canadian credit card has a $32, 000 limit on it and was almost always paid up on time. I finally got one from Wells Fargo but had to pre-pay $500 for it. I set it up to be automatically withdrawn if I forgot because I was trying to improve my credit rating from the 0 that it was. I used it while on the road in my truck and always kept up the pre-paid on it. When I quit trucking I quit using the card. Shortly afterward I recieved a note that I was overdrawn on my checking account and when I checked it was because the automaic withdrawl had taken out a payment for the credit card. I cancelled that and the next month got a letter telling me they had not recieved my minimum payment for the credit card and charges had been added along with interest. After many calls to find out why I had to make payments on my own money I was told that it was a regular credit card and my money was only being held to secure it. So I have to 1] make payments on my own money and 2] pay interest on it as well as 3] pay any charges the bank wishes to add such as late payment fees etc. I don't see that they are paying me any interest on my $500 they are holding. I was also advised that they could not give me a real credit card because my score was under 600, when it was 640 that day. I have since been advised that I will not be able to qualify for another year because I missed making a payment on my own money when I quit using the card.
I also attempted to acquire some overdraft protection recently and after over a month and about 5 different agencies in Wells Fargo I don't qualify. Oh yes they will take my volvo S60 as colateral to pay off my 1700 credit card. I am presently worth almost $200, 000 and my credit rating has gone up to 670 so what is the problem. We have started up a new account at another bank and recieved a $2500 credit card on the spot. I have also been approved for a $50, 000 loan on another truck that I will be picking up soon. I have never been more humiliated by a bank in all my life and greatly resent it. Another embarasing thing is that they cannot seem to get my name right. It is W. Ralph Clark and they will not change it from William R. Clark. I have been known as Ralph from birth (parents choice) and would like to keep it that way. The other bank had no problem withthe name at all. I have been humiliated beyond reason by this bank and think they need a lesson in customer appreciation.
W. Ralph Clark
My 96 year old mother and I have had a cd time account with wells fargo bank since 1992 (Opened in san francisco). We have been living in italy since 2017. The account recently was up for renewal I attempted to contact several wells offices to cancel the account and have our money wired to europe. I was treated as total ###, as if the money wasn't ours to invest as we wanted. Keep in mind that wells was offering us a rate of .4% on $106, 000. I still have no, no, resolution and they treat me as if i'm a robber of their funds. Help, help... I want my money! Total ###... Thanks...
I have been a loyal customer of Wells Fargo for years and recently found myself needing a power of attorney which I obtained...then when all was better and I no longer needed the POA. I went to my local branch got the information I needed to remove the POA from my account went back with the information requested and with my POA and was told I needed additional information and have it notarized.
Well it was a Saturday when I returned to receive this "great" news and there was no notary in until Monday the following week, my POA and I rearranged our schedules to complete this SIMPLE transaction (so we thought) I called Wells Fargo directly to inquire again why I was told one thing and then another at the branch...as if I expected an answer...Now I must jump through more hoops to satisfy Wells Fargo again ! I am sick and tired of these conglomerates taking advantage of the little guy!
i applied for credit card machine to activate but, the egent who are in chage did not return my call back i am loosing business every day since december of 2017. they have already charge me in my account $50.00 that i am not aware of it three person i called non of them call me back i have three account with them inclouding bussiness account.

I have a home loan with wells fargo, for over one year now they've been giving me the run around to modify.I need help because I don't want to loose my house. My sister helps me with my mortgage but wells fargo said their policy is this, that my sister has to show proof of occupancy if she is helping me.In other words they want a bill in my sisters name with my home address. How silly. My credit is already ruined which is what this bank wants. They pretend they are helping homeowners but I would take that with a pinch of salt.I know there are other people with similar problems, can we all come togather and do something before this bank drives us crazy?Email me and we'll chat.
Don't expect to do a loan modification with these scammers. They only want to take your house from you and waste your time. They are truly the king of rip-offs. I've been working to save my home for 8 months and they just don't care and won't do a loan remodification. You submit the paperwork and then they do absolutely nothing and then say they need it again and you provide it and they sell your home right out from under your nose. That's it!
I AM NOT SURE THIS RELATES TO THIS SCAM. I HAVE A NEW ONE THAT PROBABLY 90% OF THE )FORMER) CUSTOMERS DIDN'T REALIIZE REGARDING THEIR $50.00 BONUS.
I RECEIVED MY BONUS, BUT NO WHERE ON THAT PROMAO CARD DID IT SAY THE $50.00 WAS TAXABLE INCOME...WELL GUESS WHAT THE 1ST OF THE YEAR I GOT A 1099 iNTEREXT INCOME STATEMENT FROM THEM SAYING I HAD EARNED $50.00 IN INTEREST...I CALL AND TALKED TO MANY PEOPLE, SOME WERE RUDE) AND SAID THEY WERE GOING BY THE IRS RULESS! WRONG..
I CONTACTED MY LOCAL IRS OFFICE AND EXPLAINED (RECORDED) THIS SITUATION AND THE IRS SAID IT SHOUL HAVE NOT BEEN TAXABLE ANY WAY BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T SAY THAT ON PROMO AND SHOULD OF BEEN ON MISC INCOME FORM 1099"NOT" INTEREST..
THE REASEON IT BOTHERED ME IS I QUALIFY FOR AN ELEDERLY DISABLED TAX REFUND FROM MY STATE..THIS WOULD HAVE PUT ME OVER THE LIMIT FOR THE REFUND AND ESPECIALLY IF THEY THOUGHT I HAS ENOUGH TO MAKE $50 IN INTERES IN 2- MONHTS AT THAT CRAZY BANK.
IF YOU DID GET THE BONUS YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR 1099 FROM THEM-- IT IS WRONG!
I TALKED TO THEM AGAIN and ASKED MY INTEREST INCOM $.17 CENTS THAN I GOT THEM TO SAY THEY WOULD SEND ME A CORRECTED 1099 IN10 DAYS...WE WILL SEE! EVERYBODY SHOULD GO TO IRS ON THIS...THEY HAVE IT DOCUMENTED. THANKS FOR LISTENING CJR
Wells Fargo has a bad habit of transferring bogus funds into my account, then removing the amount the amount at a later date throwing off the account and then building up the charges and removing all the transaction history.
My checking account was credited 356 dollars with statement of transferred transaction then later removed plus they removed the whole transaction from the ledger and charged me for up to 400.00 dollars in fees charges. Of all the scandalous ripoff and the nerves to deny it all. I corrected the account to a positive 300. dollars by check and they refused to clear the check for 10 days forbidding me to access the positive amount till then. Horrible Institution.
Well I would be here all day if I had to list all the underhanded practices I have experienced in dealing with Wells Fargo Bank. It goes from me depositing 5- 100 dollar bills in the ATM, and them telling me I only deposited 400 dollars. Fought with them to no avail. Having a positive balance from my direct deposit, at 5 am and using it at 6 am, then they overdrafted me and said that my money wasnt available till 8am, strangely enough if you click on your (available balance) where it explains it it says this si the most recent picture of funds available for withdrawl. They actually have the B___s to argue with you about whats clearly written in THEIR policies. The latest, well I need to get a direct deposit advance. (thanks to all the overdraft crap), but apparently I'm not elligible because I'm overdrawn, (I'm showing a positive balance with no pending transacions), or I'm bankrupt (I'm not bankrupt). What a joke this bank is. If they want to rip off people to keep their failing institutions head above water, they can cut their employees ie; bank mgrs, ceo's fat whopping bonuses.
Complaint: Rudeness
On Sep. 17, 2017 I noticed a NSF charge on my account for a charge on 9/2/2017 called Wells Fargo Customer service for a reversal. According to my online accounts they had no reason for to withdrawl fee. Spoke to Carl (a)in Sacramento, California advised me he/she could not give me full credit only partial. Asked to speak to a supervisor. Courtney came on the line and was extremely RUDE, very loud and had no customer service whatsoever. Courtney should no hold that type of position if she cannot handle complaints in a manner that does not aggravate the other party. My complaint now is not the NSF- Wells fargo can ...the 35.00! My complaint is the rudeness of the agent and truely believe she needs to be replaced! I have been a Wells fargo customer over 12 years and I will find another bank that will love to take my money!
Thanks

Regarding the fruad policies of wells fargo bank: I am a diabled american veteran with a first and second mortgage with wells fargo bank. For nearly 3 years, I have tried unsuccessfully to renegotiate my second mortgage at 15.5% down with this bank. I have been ignored and after two months of each request, they declare my applications no longer active and erase all former requests of mine. I receive back no responses to my emails, my telephone messages or my fax's even though I keep all evidence they have received my fax's.
I have asked the help of our united states senator michael bennett who has written to wells fargo in my behalf. No response. I am into my 3rd year of this!
Please someone help me! Thank you, bill culpepper, denver colorado... B26687@aol.com. September 29, 2017.
I am sorry to have read of your loss of your home and I know how many nights of sleep you lost over losing your home.. Thought you might like some insight into who these people are that own wells fargo and that they are stealing your home from you and that has been their intentions and protocol from the beginning. You pay for years to them a mortgage and then take the hit and they take your house and set up another victim to do the same thing again for the next 10 years...

I also expierenced the same thing. Unauthorized charges to my account and additional five to six overdraft fees. Seems loss and prevention team concluded that they were in fact unauthorized but none of the service fees were returned. The following month they closed my account, froze my debit card . I couldn't have access to my account which meant that I couldn't pay my creditors, in addition to that they would always re-arrange my account. One day my transactions are paid, the next week they disappeared back and forth. They would post and pend my direct deposit. The CSR would practically laugh when I told him I would report them to "Department of Banking" or the Attorney General. The only thing I could figure it's thier way of not getting caught -no balance sheet- so you can't keep track of balances - unauthorized/outrages fees. Extra income for the company - consumer flips the bill. The local company is located in one area, the loss prevention in another area, loan reproduction in another etc. running wild and now they merged with another company.
This is in regards to Wells Fargo Bank, the department that handles home titles.I am trying to make a cash deal on a home in Pahrump Nevada, where the former homeowner had an accident, and was forced to abandon the property, over 7 months ago.My real estate agent had written many letters, but the people who work in this home title office, cannot seem to be organized.they are aware of the whole story behind the circumstances of this home, but they cannot be professional.I would like to get in touch with the vise president of Wells Fargo, to lodge a formal complaint! Also I am strongly considering, going to the Las Vegas Review Journal, to tell this story. In simple terms, I would like to purchase this home, where the former homeowner had to abandon because of health reasons, and she was friends with my friends, who are neihbors, and I am renting a room at my friends house waiting for the paperwork to get worked out, but these people who work at wells fargo keep requesting information from the previous homeowner, who is now living in California, who has left this house 7 months ago, and doesn't want to deal with the bank anymore.I am a well established client of Wells Fargo, I bank with them, but that hasn't helped me in any way.How could it be so hard to buy a house that Wells Fargo now ownes? I hope somebody would see this story and I would hope that Wells Fargo would take a close look a their employes, who handle the forclosed homes. They are not the most educated people, and don't care about selling a home to a cash buyer! thank you for reading this, I hope other people, wouldn't have this kind of bad luck, dealing with a bank owned home, especially, Wells Fargo Bank.
My wife and I decided to change our checking account from Wells Fargo. with no money in the account Wells Fargo continued to pay accounts such as LA Fitness and debit our account for NSF and contining NSF fees. After deducting over $300 in their fees and $200 dollars in payments from an account with zero funds available; they unilaterally decided to take the funds from our 27 year old son's account. He hasn't lived at home in years, works for himself and has his own finanacial obligations. They have a legal right to do this. It's remarkable. I don't care if the name is Clinton, Bush or Obama - the real ones running this country is money people. They are unethical, immoral and corrupt. Our politicians are nothing else but spokepersons for them. Wells Fargo is a disgrace
If the account was closed, the charges wouldn't be honored.
I live in sacramento, ca.
Last week, I noticed my wells fargo atm checking account monthly fee had gone up to $7 from usual$5.
I called wells fargo customer service to find out whys; why wasn't I notified, why the big jump, why couldn't offer me a cheaper account types?
Well, the customer service rep told me that I was notified 3 month in advance of fee change in my monthly online statement. I looked and sure enough it was posted on bottom of my statement where I don't usually pay attention to. According to the bank they can do what ever the changes, after a sufficient notice to the customers, because so we signed an agreement when opened the accounts.
But, why am I so pissed at them right now is that they called my 12year old account "a grandfathered account" which is no longer offered to new customers, which is the reason for the fee hike. Yet, they created another account type that has exactly the same features as my account and they call it "value checking account", and guess what.. The monthly fee is only $5, just like my old account used be. And I am glad they switched my account to the "value checking" after my repeated request (Had their computer problems every time I called.. ) , but i'm not too happy about refusal of refund of extra fees they already charged me.
In my opinion, the wells fargo is just asking for it... I mean, sooner or later some attorney will file a class action suit on behalf of the victims who was not aware of the unethical legal ripoffs.
I got a letter in the mail stating I did too many transfers with my savings account? WTF? Isn't my money to do with as I please? I guess you are only allowed 6 balance transfers per month via you savings, weird. I've been a Wells Fargo customer for over 20 years and have never heard of such a thing.
