scheduling for timely service
We are in the redding California office. We had a 9am appt. we were called back to be seen at 1010. We were visited by the dentist at 1027 almost an hour and a half past our appointment. We finished our appointment at 1110. The dentist apologized. We made the appointment first thing in the morning so they don’t miss as much of their classes as possible. Everything in their life is important including dental care but we shouldn’t have to waste time either
We still have an hour and a half back to school.

dental bridge
I had my bridge done 5/21/16, 2 nights ago on 10/4/17 my bridge fell out when I took a bite of garlic bread. I scheduled an emergency visit with smiles dental clinic because I felt if I spent $1500 on a bridge at western dental and it fell out after a year it was some pretty Dr appt dental work...and, it would probably be better going elsewhere because I didn't want western dental to make the situation worse. When I went to smiles I was told the cannot re-cement my bridge because my tooth was not seated properly and it was cut to much, so my tooth needed a rebuild, this was going to cost me $2671 after my insurance...I was dismayed that after just 1 year I paid $1500 and now I was going to have to pay another $2671 to fix what western dental destroyed, and worse I can't even sue them for the condition they left my mouth in...please learn from me... Don't go to western dental. I went there because of the in house financing and payment plans, but you are sacraficing quality for convenience of payment plans, it's not worth it go to a place that gives you good quality the first time so it won't later come back to bite you and out you deeper in a financial pit. I am letting you know because I read reviews and I ignored them, now I regret it and wish I had listened to everyone else, now I am one of western dental victims speaking out about my misfortune hoping to discourage as many people as I can from going to western dental, so you don't end up where I am at today. Sorry for the graphic pictures, but this is what western dental did to my mouth, I have to live with it until I can come up with $3k to fix it. My mouth looks like I'm a meth head and I ever even touched drugs in my life. I am only 32, I'm to young for this!
crown
I have been working on getting a crown for my tooth for months now. 4 times we have had to attempt placement of the crown and remold the crown, send it in and wait for it to come in again. This was a lot of pain and a lot of lost work. Finally when I'm ready to give up, it fits, to last not even 2 weeks before falling out. Oh I forgot to mention, each temp crown fell out after a day or 2 as well, some as I left the parking lot.
Also, bill issue. Well not only have I lost a lot of work, but it to so long to get the crown to fit that the billing cycle changes and my plan of do this on last billing cycle and then do root canal on next cycle, gone because this crown ate all this billing cycle instead of the last one like it should have. I also, couldn't have any other work done during this time because we couldn't create a new payment plan while waiting on billing the crown, so been in lots of pain. Now all this and remember you hat crow place Saturday sept 16 and has fallen out already (the permanent one) sept 27th

Worst possible experiences ever! Time that I can never have back wasted due to incompetence of Western Dental Orthodontics. I relocated from out of state to CA. I notified both offices weeks before I moved. First visit at the new office was as expected. Second visit was a total waste as my records were stuck somewhere in Western Dental network & unaccessible by the new location. Yet, they had no problem discussing new financial terms with me. Third visit was a bit more productive, not much as the Orthodontist wanted to wait until after my scheduled general appointment. I figured, combine the general & ortho at the same location for a smoother transition. An appointment was made for me to return to the ortho a few days after. I arrive for my general appt only to be told nothing can be done because no one is on duty to remove the wire. Last Saturday, when the appt was made, it was SPECIFICALLY NOTED that the wire had to be removed during this visit, a total morning again wasted because Western Dental failed to ensure they were ready for me. Now I have an appointment on Wednesday for work that may or maynot be possible. I call their customer service office, which in itself is EXTREMELY annoying with is forever long holds (Billing is the exception. I am guaranteed to reach a representative almost immediately!) The billing representative tells me to call back during normal business hours of Mon - Fri, but in the mean time, he can offer me a great deal on my services. A discount on my balance IF I pay it in full. I almost exploded! I am frustrated with your services, almost every contact you want to talk finances, you are paid every month as agreed, cannot provide prompt, correct, service to me on time, yet you ask me to give you more of my money for something I am obviously highly dissatisfied with. That makes no sense. Every time you fail to provide service to me at no fault of my own, you are costing me money & time. Time I could of remained at work or using for other productive activities. Time you could of saved me by verifying that you are ready for the patient, & if not notify the patient prior to arrival. This is totally unacceptable service! Make no mistake, if I could transfer away from you, I would! I had ZERO issues with your service in AZ. You need to get it together in CA!
I do not think Western Dental cares about what anybody thinks. They think they have a way to get away with horrible service and sometime dangerous service and nobody care what they do. There should be a class action suit for these people need to understand that they have a professional responsibility along with a moral one to do the right thing.
unethical behavior
I am a client of Western Dental 1332 E Yosemite Ave, Manteca CA 95336. I paid over $1, 500.00 to have them make partials for me. The partials did not fit from the first try in. I went back for adjustments over and over again. They could not resolve the issue and I began to have diverticulitis attacks from not being able to chew my food properly. I advised Andrea the office manager that I could not use the partials and requested a refund. After returning the partials, no one advised me as to the process or updated me on the time frame. To date I have called and left messages for Andrea nine times and have not received a return call. I have called the 1-800 number for Customer Service and have been transferred back to the Manteca office. I have waited on the Western Dental Customer Service billing line five times for over 45 minutes and no one has answered. I am at a lose as to who can help me. Everyone just keeps giving me the runaround.
oral surgeon rushed me to do a procedure after getting 2 anesthesia 5 mins. before his arrival
My appointment was schedule for 9 a.m. but the doctor didn't arrive until sometime after 11 a.m. apparently he had ran into traffic because of an car accident.
During my wait for this oral surgeon I was told he would be in approx. 10 a.m.
If 1800Western Dental schedules me an appointment at 9 a.m. for a bottom left extraction, then he should be on time as a doctor, not late and rushful at all his 1st 2 or 3 patients awaiting his unprofessionalism.
The Dental Assistants who peeped the 2 shots 5 mins. Of his arrivaldid not explain anything except for me to pay for saving the bone instead of extracting. The surgeon arrived 5 mins. afterput his gloves on and wanted to start procedure while my jaw wasn't numb yet. He didn't even tell me his name, I had bad anxiety, nervousness, and question before he started he sat theredidnt want to hear me out and asked the assistants who's next.
Then he sent me to the front to see if I could be financed for 1 hr. Sedation - asleep because I was nervous, especially when he takes 2 fingers and puts it on my forehead to start his rushful day and said to me, are you ready?
Well Western Dentalcalled my wife and told her we tried calling Eric's number but I never even received a missed call check their phone records for my number [protected].

Well today I had two appointments, I knew since i got there that it was going to be a lot of waiting. Receptionist was very friendly and let me know there was a wait for both my appointments.. After 3hrs of waiting for my last appointment I get my X-rays done. When I get my chairs and I see the dentist.. Mrs Ramos.. One of her helpers asked if I was getting and extra X-Ray done which is a little more stronger and usually more riskier for pregnancy... She made this comment that really hurt my feelings and was uncalled for... She could just simple said yes or no and just explained the risks of taking it. She said "well instead of her getting pregnant she should have done all her dentist work.. So she shouldn't have this problem" so i waited my time waiting for this lady to come and make a comment on when should i get pregnant. I got home and mention this go my husband and we are not coming back not only myself but my kids as well .. Hope you talk to this person cause personally I think she was out of line and needs to work more on making your patients feel more comfortable. Every one else where very nice and friendly I didn't mind spending my day just waiting since 9:45 am until 2:30 pm..
For them.. What really upsets me is Mrs. Ramos comments about me being pregnant..

They had taken x-rays and then told her before she can get any work done she has to get a deep cleaning, price $1200😳😳😳 what, we could not believe the price. april 2017 had and apt. to get upper dentures replaced after 20 years änd dentures on bottom explained i dîdnt want it to take 3 to 4 months to do if so i would go someplace else tey said it wouldnt take that long . so go to my first apt and was told have to get ok for uppers .they would contact me. well got letter from ins tellīng me i was denied for uppers eedless to say top dentûres have toot missing a hol threw them and 20 yêars old called them and oh how soory they were ẃill señd another one called last week now they say iv never been there and im still waiting for the office mgr call from april its now been almost 3 months and nothing

They did not record my phone call where I clearly state I don't want to be charged twice and I'm paying it early however they still took out another payment and they don't want to refund me when it's clearly their fault this is ridiculous I will never go here for general work again. Confirm...however I will try and do a walk in on the 12th. Because a friend said I should try. I have had a tooth emergency for over two months and been unable to schedule a appt that is more timely for an emergency. It is now critical and the tooth was knocked completely loose last week. When I called to come in right away I was told that the soonest was on the 13th still. The tooth came completely out 2 days and I called to come in and was told that I needed to wait until the 13th because no sooner appt was available. I looked up tooth care online and was told that if the tooth was to be saved that I needed to get right in. The western dental rep said there was nothing she could do because there was no sooner appts. available. And now a friend said I could do a walk in. Why in all my calls to western dental did no one ever give me that information? My tooth is dead by now. Probably. It is in the front. I dont have my regular dental insurance any more. I have dentical. That is why I am using Western Dental. I just wanted someone to know that I have lost one of my teeth because not once was I told that I could do a walk in.

The girl in the front, I don't know her name but she has tattoos in all her hands and fingers..on 1101 truman s.t in San Fernando .ca 91340 Suit A .. she is very rude, impatient, and so lazy! It's the third time I go and she does not write the information on the computer system! I had appointment for today, and since she didn't post in on the system I just came back home, ( waste of time) and had to pay a baby sitter for my twin Bbys and all for nothing! ..the first time I had an appointment she made me fill out a lot of papers and she ended not putting them on the system and I had to fill out everything all over again the second time I came back with my bbys, and found out that day that the fist time I went she didn't only not pass the info on the system but that she didn't even check my daughters in onnthe system! So apparently I didn't take one of my daughters in for her appointment according to them. since the appointment was for my 2 bbys..it is a big waste of time for their patients and her co workers.. to have someone so lazy in that office and make us and them waste our time, and make the rest of the people work double in the office! All because she is lazy to do the job she's getting paid for!😠😠😠

I was just late for a few days. My account it's almost paid in full. At the office at Monte Vista Vacaville, CA at the office they denied the services until I made a payment. The account number is 83562. The staff Natalie was very rude and disrespectful saying thst I had pay late before. I am very dissatisfied with the situation. I made a payment I was going to make later this month by force in order for my son have the service. I think it is very unfair and not ethical when it was not even a month behind. My son's name is Roberto Munoz. This happened 5/12/17.
poor customer service
My daughter's appointment was at 9:00 AM and was not called until literally a few minutes before 10:00 AM. Once we were there, the doctor relayed a message to us that my daughter should eat before she started on cavities because she will be numb for 2 hours. I ended up leaving and coming back. The appointment setter should have briefed us on what we had to do before we came, and we should have been seen much sooner.

I am also going to send our local news stations with watchdog reporting this story as well as a letter to the editor in the local newspaper.
It may not be much, but if I can save a few people the agony western dental gave me - the better I will feel!
charged $2700 for root canal and crown and cleaning
Tooth was infected and was told it needed a root canal. Was also charged for a deep cleaning which evidently never got done. It took over three months and a second root canal because infection never went away. All while suffering extreme pain from infected tooth. Finally we decided to get a second opinion at another dentist. Turned out tooth had to be pulled to get rid of infection. Because the root was actually in the sinus it required a bone graft and cost $750.. Now it needs a implant at the cost of $4100. Now waiting on refund of $2300 for work done that was ineffective resulting in 4 months of pain. Injury to gums from doing two root canals and cleaning that was never done according to another dentist which had to be re-done. I filed complaints on two different occasions during process complaining of incompetence which went ignored at office in Orange County, Calif.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any type of medical/dental facility...
I was seen fairly quickly, the dentist and assistant were decent, but while I was lying in the exam chair (in excruciating pain from an exposed nerve in my tooth)
This receptionist kept coming back to get my credit card to pay for my tooth extraction.
�The first time she made a mistake and overcharged me for unwanted products I explained I didn't want. She again took my card to void out the first charge of $84.70
�She Charged my card a second time for the corrected amount of $59.70.
�She returned a third time to inform me I still owed the office approximately $10.
I instructed her to use my card. She replied to me that my card was declined for insufficient funds.(I'm starting to panic)
�I asked why the voided sale amount from the first charge wasn't on my card?( By now I'm numb but really confused ) �She told me a voided sale amount wasn't going to be back on my card for 24 hours.
�I explained to her the funds on my card ( which was plenty to cover my $59.70 copay) was all the money I had until my payday. She suggested I set up an autopay contract to deduct the money from my card the following day when she informed me that the voided sale amount would be back on my card. I am hurting, my numbing medicine is wearing off, and she brings me 3-4 receipts to sign.
This receptionist comes to me again shortly after my tooth was extracted to tell me the office wasn't going to charge me the $10 balance I owed (for her damn mistake) and gave me a copy of the voided sale receipt and the final sale receipt along with a copy of the service I received. AGAIN SHE INFORMED ME MY VOIDED SALE AMOUNT WOULD BE BACK ON MY CARD 24 HOURS FROM THEN!
Needless to say, the voided sale amount WAS NOT ON MY CARD 24 HOURS LATER! It took me 4 days of calling to Western Dental Corporate Office, being transferred to countless phone operators who claim they only know how to make appointments! (Beyond Madening)
I finally found out from a supervisor I demanded to speak to that there will be an audit report done and a refund process began that will take 15-40 business days to know where my money went and when it will be returned to me. (Seriously )
Very unprofessional and the receptionist should NOT be allowed to ask people for credit cards while they are incapacitated and in excruciating pain.
My advice to you is :
TAKE CASH WITH YOU TO PAY FOR SERVICES RENDERED!
NEVER GIVE YOUR CARD TO A RECEPTIONIST TO SWIPE FOR PAYMENT IF YOU AREN'T DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THEM!
A $60 dentist bill ended up costing me $140 that day
I still haven't heard back from the corporate office about my refund.
I know I will NEVER make that mistake again, sadly you don't expect something like this to happen from your dentist.

Iv had 4 appts in the past month for me and my children. Always had to wait 2 to 3 hrs to be seen. Its ridiculous! It took me 4 hrs for my appt and it was just xrays and an exam. Then they quoted me almost twice as much as my second opinion did.
Its harder to wait 2 or 3 hrs when you have a nervois child with you too! Every time people i. The waitin room are uoset and or complaining about havi g to wait hrs for their app.

Theres a rda at western dental napa ca. That's always high of marijuana when she works I been seeing her rolling her joints on her 10 min breaks and on her lunch hour. After lunch she's high and assisting she smell like weed. This is a perfessional work place not a cannibas work place. I'm very concern about the patients and kids there i've seen her assisting with kids
