exposed wires in children’s room at western dental
My daughters face got cut on exposed sharp wires coming out of the wall in the kids play rooms! Now she will have cuts two cuts on her nose. Hopefully it doesn't get infected but they have a room for the kids and I've been coming to this place for a while now and it's just show I guess. Another customer came to my help and took out the wires from the wall after seeing my daughter bleeding but no front desk person came. Nor did they apologize. The only dentist asks twice and was concerned for her but that's it I asked for a bandaid but no one went inside to see what actually sliced her nose. After another customer said this is a children's play room and this is not childproof then one lady came and took a picture of the wires that had cut my daughter.

Yes ever since dentist cal said they will pay for partial I made an appointment next February 2018 to start the process it is no July and all they have done is fixed a couple of cavitiys and have been told for 6 month that I had to be almost done with my treatment for them to put n the tar and then come to find out that they now say that dentist cal will only pay for 1 upper partial and 1 lower denture or the other way around and the tooth they supposedly fixed in front broke and the screw that they put n they had facing outward and now I have a fat lip and a big a sour cuz of all of thiz
why am I billed when I am fully paid?
This is Relyn Corpus with account number [protected]. I was seen at Western Dental Broadway Branch Chula Vista on March 31, 2018. Gingival Irrigation was done for which i was billed $244. I initially paid $50. pls see receipt and i was told to pay $66.62 for 2 payments however i surmised that it should have been for 3 months more. My next due date was April 28, 2018 however I paid on line all the remaining balance which i was told $198.64. Pls see attach bank statement of my husband. i was even told that i dont owe Western Dental anymore.. the month of May was quiet however before June 10, 2018 i received a billing statement of $28.36 due June 10. I went to Western Dental Chula Vist and complained why am i billing charged again when i was fully paid? The lady at the cashier noted my complaint, got a copy of my receipts and other documents and i was told i should hear from them in 30 days. But instead i received this new
billing statement with even more charges... i feel this is not being fair..
WESTERN DENTAL SCAM! Same problem here. My daughter had braces put on at Western Dental. Got on a payment plan. I did a few payments, then I paid the balance off in full according to my bill balance. I took my daughter to all her ortho appointments until her braces were took off. In ALL the rest of her appointments nobody said that I owed anything. All of a sudden over 1 year later. I get a bill. Saying I owe back late charges and I'm being charged for $190.00. I spend 2 hours on the phone being transferred back and forth trying to dispute! Finally I was told I would be contacted by a supervisor within 48 hours. I get a call from Alexander that I missed. So now I keep leaving messages to call me back. Of course he never calls back. Now today a New bill for $215.00 with another late charge of $25.00 Mind you all these bills have been sent to me within 1 week!
I paid western dental 208.44 and payment was not submitted to my bank for payment.
why is nobody doing anything about it, I paid my bill and now 2 years later they send me a new bill saying they made a mistake and that I have to pay 2, 000 more from my original bill. Where can I go for help !

I have been told several times that my request for replacement receipts was indeed accomplished. They (2 or 3 customer services representatives from Western Dental) told me that I am suppose to have them in my e-mail inbox. At this moment I still waiting for those... I need them to still using and taking advantage of my wageworks card. Please help me to obtain my receipts... My wife and me already paid to Western Dental Company around $14, 000 in services... billing and non disclosure
They deliberately sold me the tray and "treatment that is 1500 dollars without telling in me there is a chance my medical would not cover the deep cleaning. Something vital to getting the proper treatment.
They could have informed me that they would process the approval for the deep cleaning and once it was authorized would charge me for the tray but sold me the tray without advising that there was a possibility of it getting declined.
I feel this location false advertised and is out to make people put out as much money as they without disclosing all the information and taking extra steps to charging people first before the treatment. I do not feel comfortable continuing services here and the manager refuses to take back their products even though they are unopened. The tray that I went into get today is still at there facility because now I have to pay the deep cleaning our of pocket.
I feel there could have been a different course of action such as getting the deep cleaning approval first and then proceeding with the treatment or discussing the options poise to selling the product that is now unusable to me unless I pay additional money
removing teeth on a child
My son had an appointment was at 12pm and went in three hours later. Once inside, they gave me the consent forms to sign and I was reading them and Dr. Knapp was telling me if I was done in a rude tone. And I told her I'm reading what I need to sign but she seemed so fed up and in a rush! The other assistants sat down my son and put straps around his arms. Dr. Knapp asked me once again if I was done reading and signing and I told her nope. Since I was not done sh decided to just took of the strap off my son in a very nasty attitude and pulled my son off the chair! And I got very upset because that is my son being mistreated by the dentist. And Since I was in the room and see what she did I asked the other three assistants if that's how she treats kids!?!? And all three assistants turned away and looked at each other and did not say yes or no. So I told her assistants to cancel my appointment and left because the doctor was being rude, had no patience, nasty attitude and mistreating my son. No kid should be treated that way! It's not the kids fault if she was having a bad day. My son and I deserve to be respected and to be able to trust the dentist that is treating him.

I am a client here at western dental. I go and my kids go there; we repeated clients coming to this office. I have to let you know this is the worst office to go to. Let me start by saying customer service sucks here. I set schedule appointments here for me and my kids all one at time. We checked in! before 1pm cause that is our appointment time. Waiting was a hour before they called us in. I let the receptionist know why its taking so long they let me know that they check me in at 1:30 I said why my appt. Is at 1pm I checked in earlier then that. I told her I have another appointment that I need to go to a 3:15 she ask me if I wanted to reschedule I was like know because this appointment was a reschedule because they took long on the other time too. I wasn't going to reschedule all the time. Not only that take long hour to call you in you also have a long wait inside before they attended to you inside too. This place is a joke. This was a four hour visit waste of my time. Not coming back to this office.

I just want this to be known on April 23rd 2018 I was scheduled an Extraction with an Oral Surgeon from Western Dental who's name is Dr. Sirenko. I was informed by western dental that not to take medication I take which is a Blood thinner before the extraction. He was very Rude and would not proceed with the procedure. May I add he smelled very bad of Cigarettes and bad breath . At this point of time I am still in so much pain and been in pain for almost a month now. I have been to western Dental 4 times in a month because this pain. I just want the pain to stop. I told him what was I suppose to do for the pain because the pain meds I cant take anymore because I have other meds to take and I stopped taking because I don't want to mix medications. They told me that I need to wait at least another month to see him again. So I am suppose to suffer within that period of time? I can't wait I am so dissatisfied with his attitude and rudeness. I never had problems with western Dental. My daughter is a patient there and sees the Ortho there which is very kind and helpful. nothing like the specialist. I feel like he didn't care about the pain I was in or my well being. He was just thinking of himself.
Was denied service for my daughter due to my frustration of having to drive 2 hrs 3 times to fill out paper work and get no services my daughter needs. They are the only oral surgeon that takes her insurance. Now I have no other options. Denying a child care.
poor service and long waiting times
Had appointment for 9Am on March 28, 2018. Could not enter office until after 9Am due to lobby door being locked. Waited 58 minutes before being taken back to exam room. I asked how much longer it will be before anyone would be seeing me since I waited over a hour the last two times I had a appointment. Was told That they would get to me when ever they could and that I would have to wait or I could leave. I left. This office is located at 3802 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego Ca 92117. The front office staff could not even tell me who I was seeing that day. Will never go back to this Office. Have been working in medical health services for over 30 years and have never seen such bad service in my entire life.

Worst experience I have ever lived through. I nervously went in for a wisdom tooth to be removed but they insisted that they remove all four, made my appointment and was calm about the whole situation. Everything was going fine until they started injecting me with local anesthetics, they injected me about 16 times 2 on each side of my impacted teeth which was four of them, no warning given as the dentist and assistant ignored me they just sat me down and started with their mouth stabbing, they were not gentle at all and I was yelping in pain at each shot.
My review is not about the horrible local anestethic part of the experience but it was about how they just left me there, the doctor and assistant walked away from the room as I sat there helplessly with saliva all over my mouth just accumulating in the back of my throat, my mouth was numb and I could not breathe, I was panicking I could hear the assistant gossiping as I was nearly choking, heart accelerated, I even said a prayer, tears just strolled down my face because of how scared I was I started breathing through my nose because I was so swollen everywhere but even though it was hard to breathe, I was tempted to start looking for the suction device but I was in shock, they should have stayed in the room to monitor me and assist me instead of walking away without properly making sure that my mouth was free of saliva. Minutes which seemed like hours the dentist came back and finally used that suction on my mouth and I was relieved but then he announced that they were short handed for the day so the assistant had to help another patient therefore I had to hold my own suction while he performed the surgery.
I had to hold my own suction device while he took all four of my wisdom teeth out! I was numb first of all I was sticking the device all over my front teeth, side of my cheek I didn't know what was going on I was just praying that I didn't choke on my own saliva. It was finally over and I could not talk, open my mouth, spit, nothing I was numb therefore I could not complain on the spot. I went home and was numb for about 6 more hours, I really wish they would have just put me to sleep and taken care of me, or atleast had the assisntant nearby doing her actual duty to make me feel safe. No one should ever have to use dental instruments on themselves!

I came in today and there was a mix up on my appointment I never got a email or notification two days from my appointment I went in to speak to the manager Abbie and he is never in or when you call they say he is with a customer but when you go in you never see him in the managers office talking to anyone I would like to see a dentist as soon as possible.

I came with my daughter to her 8:30 am appointment, but was not seen or helped until 9:22 am. I contacted the front desk clerk for assistance. They just told me to continue waiting. I asked if there was any problem with the insurance, and the clerk said "No". It took them 52 minutes to see my daughter. Afterwards, I decided to walk in and talked to the dentist directly. This was a mean, unfair treatment for a 6 year old girl to have to wait this long with out any explanation.
Poor quality work/waiting 4 months for refund
Absolute nightmare! I wouldn't let my ex-husband go here.
August had molds done to make dentures once my teeth were removed.
September had my teeth removed and immediately the dentist knew the dentures were completely wrong. Another week to have another set made and this time the bite was so off and the teeth were actually crooked. 2 more weeks to have a THIRD set made and although they felt better in my mouth I could not eat with them. I could not even bite into soft food. The bite was off and while trying to correct it they managed to grind the back teeth down so smooth little nubs. No way I can chew with them.
October I did the necessary paperwork to get a refund.
November I was told I would get a refund within 60 days.
January no refund. I was told that due to the holidays they were behind and needed 2 more weeks. 2 weeks later no refund and I called again and was told it was on someone's desk to have the check drawn for me and I would receive it in 7 to 10 days.
February STILL NO REFUND! Now I am told that I need to sign an ROC form at the Dentist Office to get the refund process STARTED. The local office person has no idea what an ROC form is! I'm calling a lawyer. This is [censor].

So, I had a deep cleaning done back in March 2017. I don't have dental insurance, so I paid the huge amount in full right after at their office. Yesterday (Feb. 6th 2018) I received a letter from them, saying I still owe $165.50. Thinking this is surely a mistake I called them today. They said that I still owe them for the toothbrush and the toothpaste they gave me that time. I DID receive those items, however, they told me this is part of the treatment. I would've NEVER agreed to buy a $165 electrical toothbrush! Furthermore, why didn't they charge me for this the same day they gave it to me and I paid for the treatment!? Now, almost a year later, they want to get paid for it!? OR the two other times I went back to take care of some filling!? Why charge me NOW!? When I told her, it's ridiculous to even charge that much for two simple items, she gave me a discount and I ended up paying $145.
I'm beyond furious! I will never ever go back here and I will tell everyone I know to avoid Western Dental. Their reputation isn't the best to begin with - now I know why!

I was recently told that my teeth were bad and I would have to get dentures, at 64 I felt it was time also. The date was set for extractions Nov 9, 2017. Got the extractions done with the knowledge that I would get my dentures by my birthday Nov 17. I went ahead and got them extracted. My next appointment was Nov 13 where I would get my dentures. I sat in the chair and they came in to do something don't know what and I stopped them and asked where my dentures were. They said they didn't come in. Well I was upset because I planned something for my birthday on the 17th of Nov. I asked why and they didn't know. One of the dental assistants said she had some kind of pull where they make dentures and she would try to get them. Well she got them and they are the worst things I have seen, first they don't fit at all, second there are more teeth on one side than the other, third most of the part that goes on your pallet is see through I can see the teeth, they try to tell me they fit but they can't put them in. I have complained to no avail. I need help fighting this

I called the office in lodi ca. They told me I could walk in and they would remove my braces. I go to walk in and they tell me it was corporate I called and that I have to schedule an appointment. However, I double checked the number I called with the number of their office (which I asked for) and it was their office. This isn't the first time they told me it was corporates fault for the mistake and I live over an hour away so it's hard to get to the office whenever. And also, for them to say no because it will "set them back" is not good customer service. I have a health reason to get my braces off and I need them off. For them to deny me after telling me to just walk in and get them off is unacceptable.

I've been with Western Dental for many years. Both my daughters and myself had our braces with Western Dental orthodontic. Great service with the orthodontic visits.
My complaint is Western Dental for dental work. Every visit takes about 3 hours plus . We waited 45 minutes before being called in for X Ray after X-ray they leave you in the room for another 1 hour plus .
I wasn't the only one that complained about the waiting time, I've heard several people complained. It's not just this visit but previous .
Their excuse was "we're running behind..." I've heard this excuse at every visit.
12 pm appointment had to wait till 3pm...
My son had a 12pm appointment, we arrive 10 minutes early and waited till 1:22pm as everyone that came in after us get called in to see the dentist and leave. I then asked what took so long cause everyone that came after us had left and we're the only one left in the lobby without being called in and the receptionist went to ask and told us it's going to be another hour to hour and a half to see the doctor. Seriously why schedule me at 12 if I'm not going to get to see them till 3pm!

My name is Ashaki Jones, account number [protected]. I have attempted to connect with the proper channels for over 3 months now and I still have not been able to get the issue resolved. In 2014 I was rendered services for braces where I was given the summary of payment that would be allotted to both myself and my insurance Delta Dental. It was then I began paying my portion of the balance for my braces, never missing a payment, in fact paying months in advance. I finished paying my portion off October 2016. It was not until April of 2017 that Western Dental began trying to collect for an additional $1, 300 for an unpaid amount. It wasn't until I spoke with Brenda, a representative from the El Cajon office that she informed me that they had never received the second payment from my insurance six months after my initial appointment. I then spoke to a representative from my previous insurance who informed me that no one from the El Cajon office ever sent them proof that I had continued services six months after initial appointment. The representative then said I should have the office send the paperwork again and MAYBE they will pay it out, since it has been 3 years since the first appointment and it is no longer in the window of payment it may not be paid. Speaking with Brenda again she ensured me that she would send the proper paperwork, but to wait a few weeks to see the payment reflected on the statement.
Unfortunately, during this wait time Brenda suggested the El Cajon office sent my account to a collection agency and it is negatively affecting my credit, which has now prevented my husband and I from being able to purchase a home. After calling back after the recommended weeks, Brenda then informed me that they still have not received the payment, and suggested that since it has been so long to connect with someone from the grievance department in hopes to get this rectified. I did call the insurance company again to make sure they did receive the fax from the El Cajon office and another representative said there was no fax sent.
At that time I have called several numbers to speak to someone who would be able to help me. I have been hung up on and promised several call backs that never transpired. I still have not heard from anyone who can help me. At this point since I am being negatively affected and no one in the customer service department or the El Cajon office seems to care that because of the error made by Western Dental I am unable to proceed with buying a home, I feel it is time to look into legal action. I am hoping I can connect with someone in hopes to work this out without having to contact a lawyer. However, with my previous attempts and lack of respect and follow up from anyone who is associated with Western Dental I don't see that to be a likely outcome.

braces
OKAY here we go! So I got braces put on September 2016! Now remember that date as I continue. My first appointment the girls all had an attitude problem like okay whatever well when they did it they only put the brackets or whatever you call them on my top teeth which seemed weird but they said oh we're backed up so they'll finish at my next appointment.. seems weird to me like wth I'm pretty sure your supposed to put all my braces on rite? Any who so go back in and they do my top teeth and the wire was poking me and when I told the guy he said oh it's fine you just have to ignor it! WHAT! Dude this thing was going through my mouth poking me! Finally he got irrated enough he just cut the wire and he snapped me twice with the bands putting them on! Then go get the bottom braces on oh lord here we go again so they put them on and the bottom right spacer I think it's called that goes on the back tooth to hold the braces yeah well she pushed it down but it didn't feel tight like I could wiggle it with my finger! When I told her she said no that's how it's supposed to be it's fine I just can't keep messing with it. Well my next apt I go in and the guy goes to change my wire and the damn thing POPS OUT ! That's how lose it was! He was all oh wow that's a miracle you didn't swallow that why wasn't that on better and when I told him he was like oh no I'll talk to her .. yeah rite then many appointments after it was just constant them snapping with bands and poking me with the wire well couple weeks ago I asked how much longer my braces need to be on because I'm getting married next October! The dentist said oh your teeth look great and he checked my file and said yeah we can take them off I was like oh okay it's no rush because I was told it was a 2 year plan and I've only had them on a year.. well AFTER I get them off the dentist says yeah you've had them on since 2011 your teeth look great... WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! I was like no I've only had them a year! Well no that's not what our records say.. haha okay so your telling me you took them off early because the computer says 2011 he was like yeah! Haha NONONO! Then the retainer he had to adjust it at least 7 times and finally he gave up and said well this will have to do and it wouldn't even go all the way down on the bottom I told him and I told him it felt like something was poking my gums.. he's all oh it's normal you just have to keep pushing it down and eventually it will fit rite.. okay fine so for a week I did what he said and NOPE no progress still not going down couldn't push it down I wore it all time even though it kept popping out because it wouldn't stay on and when I called the office to get a new one or to get it fixed she told me they didn't have anything for SIX WEEKS! What no ma'am I need one now my teeth are already moving she's all well I don't know what to tell you.. WELL OKAY THEN I'm done! This office was rude and they don't know how to do there job and I've been trying to cancel my contract for almost 2 in a half weeks now and I keep getting the run around this is complete bull crap ! I'm not paying for you guys messing up my teeth! I already paid almost 2, 000 ! And you guys still want me to pay for you guys screwing up! And now I'm paying another 5, 000 because of you guys to er my teeth fixed at a new dentist and I've only been there once and it's already a million times better
