iced tea
I have complained about the Iced Tea before and it seemed that for a little while it got better. But today it was just horrible. It was so rancid that I had to through it away because I could not drink it. All it takes is to wash out what you make the tea in and throw out the old tea. It makes me wonder if they are being washed at all and that the restaurant is not sanitary.
unethical behavior
I went to the Whataburger at 6327 Stewart rd in Galveston TX. 5/31/18 12/52 am. order #538421 with Darian T as the cashier. I ordered a #2 all the way with a Strawberry Shake. He told me the ice cream machine was broke. So I ordered a coke instead. When I got home I realized that Darian had screwed up my burger on purpose. It was a double meat all right but no lettuce, onions, tomatoes, no mustard or Mayo. Only Ketchup with two dried out patties on it. I was furious with his behavior so I called up to the Store. Darian was rude, cussing and beligerant. He needs to be fired. I think He is Black so he might be racist for I am white. I have pictures if you would like to see. Wayne Hopson cell [protected] Thanks for your help.
I have been eating Whataburger for 50 yrs and this was the worst burger I ever tried to eat. I will never go back to that store again. Thanks
Maybe it's because you're an [censored]. People make mistakes, you shouldn't assume he made your burger wrong on purpose.
service
On my home from work I would like to place a simple hamburger order, pay for it and drive off. I have recently tried 3 different times without success. The person working the evening shift at the window can not successfully take an order or process more than one order at a time. The line of cars back up 7 deep and many give up like myself and drive away. The leadership at the Vicksburg, MS does not exist and everyone working there are in slow motion on processing any order that lucks out and gets process. This problem exist on an ongoing basis without ever being solved!
drive through
The drive threw was beyond slow it was 9 pm and it looked like everyone was just goofing around and then my daughter had video of one of her friends and their manager playing on the roof having thenselves a good ol time on their phones I thought this was supposed to be semi professional not an elementary school full of [censored] and for god sake stop messing up all the orders I understand now why my kids call it "dramaburger"
Usually Whataburgers are not like this, and I can vouch for this. I am a current employee at Whataburger, since my store is located in what is considered a high-traffic area, our friendliness of employees, order accuracy and speed of service our are top priorities, respectively. Reason one why friendliness of employees is first is because you want to feel like it not just some "fast-food restaurant", we strive to be the best fast-food restaurant chain in America. By having this as the top priority I believe that we can be the best of other fast-food restaurants. Second, order accuracy, when we are trained we are told to deliver orders to our customers with a sense of urgency, we have no idea what are customers are going through or how their day has been, but that's also another top priority is to get you on your way as quick as possible, most least-trafficked units usually (mainly all) are supposed to deliver the customer's order in under 3 minutes, at my unit since it it considered to be in a high-trafficked area, and I mean we get slammed every weekend, we try to the customer's order out in under 4 minutes. Lastly, what I mentioned in the last sentence is the speed of service, we want you to be in and out as quickly as possible, that's why people come to fast-food restaurants like Whataburger, they want to be in and out as fast as possible and we strive to achieve that goal by having set goals on how fast we need to get the orders out to the customers. I hope this helps a little bit, but to me it seems that, that Whataburger isn't visited often if they have time to play around, I would urge you to contact Whataburger at (+[protected]) or (+[protected]) and notify them about the manager's behavior (if you haven't already), he would need to be retrained or re-evaluated as a manager as a whole and his ability to complete his job and responsibilities.
service and the food quality plus wrong order
The guy taking my order was rude. He said, " what do you want?" in a very rude tone. I asked for a cheeseburger with everything on it and a medium onion ring. What I received was a plain cheeseburger and a few nasty, dark, crusty onion rings or rather dark crusts off of the onions and very few onions. The container they were in wasn't even halfway full. I am extremely disappointed. I was charged for a plain cheeseburger so that further infuriates me because it shows not only was he rude but he wasn't even listening to me. This is disgusting food they passed through the window, trash, leftovers.
breakfast served all day
I would like to suggest very strongly that your restaurants start serving breakfast all day. I live in the Lake Jackson area of Texas. In this area there is a large number of people who work shift work as I do as well. With our times and schedules being different than those with 8 to 5 jobs, we would like to be able to order breakfast when we get off work or before going to work. Because of this I find myself frequenting other places in order to eat breakfast at different times of the day. Thank you for your time on this matter.
service
We waited 40 mins to get 4 chicken strip meals to go. There were several other people that where in Front of us waiting for their to go orders also. People that came in after us that were eating at the restaurant were getting their food and we were still waiting. After 40 mins our food finally came and we were missing one of the chicken strip meals! Then when we got the last chicken strip meal we still had no BBQ sauce. It was very chaotic in the store. People were bringing back their orders because none of them were correct! It was the worst experience I've ever had at a Whataburger. We went in because we were on a trip and wanted to grab something fast! This was not fast at all!
shake machine
I am an rn, work nights, go to whataburger at night after midnight, sometimes as late as 0400 in the am. My complaint is that out of three different stores in conroe tx it seems that the shake machine is always down for cleaning, especially the newest store. Also the new stores are unable to add extra chocolate to the shakes. If the machines are to be closed every night for cleaning why not have two machines so one would always be up and running.
Reason for the shutdown at night has a two fold effect. As Emp#1576 stated, Whataburger’s are an 24hr operation and nights are usually ideal timeframes due to the slowdown that occurs between12:30am/1am or 3am/4am to clean. Plus, shake machine need the appropriate time for proper cleaning and sanitizing all working components of the shake machine. If this was done during day time or even evening drying peek hours it would hurt the sales of Whataburger Operations and the loyal customers like yourself.
I agree with the complainant. They should have more than one shake machine. Clean one at night and the other during the day. I live in Weatherford, TX and get off work at midnight and I have NEVER been able to get a shake past midnight. I've called 7 surrounding stores and it's the same with every store. "Sorry, Our machine is broken. " I've been told they're waiting on parts, it's just broken, no one is there to run it,etc. All kinds of stories. Especially since Whataburger made the horrific mistake of taking the Dr Pepper shake off the menu. They are now offering it only for a "limited time" and anyone who goes past midnight can't get one. And Whataburger does ALOT of business past midnight so this is really unacceptable. If the employees are too lazy to clean the machine, hire someone else who isn't. It's part of their job. This is very bad business and poor management not to mention you're losing a lot of money on your shakes. Whataburger has totally lost my business because of this and I know I'm not the only one. Very poor way to run a business.
I see your point, but they would have to clean out both shake machines at the same time, otherwise the person cleaning, depending if they are complaining or tired, gives the shake machines a quick "clean" just to get out of there and go home. What's better, having a clean shake machine or a shake machine that has been "cleaned"? I know this is not the case for all the stores, but adding another shake machine to clean wouldn't help, since Whataburger is open 24 hours, business usually slows down enough around 3a-4a (depending on location )to where employees are able to clean the store thoroughly and provide that nice clean feel throughout the store. I hope you can see where I am coming from, since I am an employee at Whataburger, I've seen what I'm writing in this comment, plenty of times (even sometimes, I have to clean the shake machine and I know that I'm tired and want to go home, but I know that I have to do it so I just suck it up and do it without complaint) that's not the case for some other people or stores, it all just depends on the person-in-charge and their ability to run the store as a manager.
plastic
There was a piece of plastic in my burrito this morning that could have cut me or I could have choked on had I not noticed it. I go there for breakfast often since I work in midland and it is on the way to work. This is the first incident but I also don't want it to happen to any one else or have it happen to me again. No person likes to find something wrong with their food especially when they go to that certain place often.
food/service
I ordered a Whatabuger Jr. Meal and it was 1 car ahead of me. It took 8 minutes to get to the food window. When I recieved my drink, it was 3/4 full, I had to ask the window clerk would she please fill it up. Then she had the car that was ahead of me pull up and asked me to do the same. It took about 2 minutes and she brought out the car ahead of me and my food out. When I got ready to open my burger, I realized it was cold and when I looked at it, the patty was paper thin. I have never had a patty that thin before and the fries were cold. If I didn't have to go back to work, I would have turned around and took the food back to the 59 Freeway and Harwin location. The other Whataburger's that I have visited service is not like this. Please have them get better patties and service.
burger
My mom and sister went to Whataburger on Monday evening placed an order thru the drive-thru on East University Dr. In Edinburg Texas, to their surprise their order was all wrong. They ordered for toasted buns on both burgers non were toasted, no onions, no tomato on burgers, they asked for mustard only and both burgers had mayo. They tried getting a hold of the manager by phone but she/he would not come to the phone, supposedly busy in a meeting...My sister asked the young lady she was talking to over the phone for her name and she hung up on her. This is so very unfair to us as loyal customers to be treated like this, we LOVE your Burgers but this is not in no way how to treat customers. "😠FURIOUS😠"
wrong order 3 different times / then was called "hoe" by the employee.
Went to get 2 kids meals + malt.. Had to wait in line 25 minutes to order... Get to window and they did not have the malt ready and had us pull forward. Looked in bags and they gave incorrect order... Went in and handed them what they gave us and waited for the correct order... Went back to truck and they gave the kids meals however forgot the fries and milk.. So went back in again to tell them and gave them the bags.. They then hand me the bags back and say sorry... I then go back to the truck and look and still no fries (only gave us milk... And to many of them).. So I go back in for the 3rd time and hand them everything told them the fries were not there.. Gave the extra milk back.. Employee (torrie) starts saying I did get the fries and that she put them in there herself (calling me liar). I tell them they can come check my truck and I wouldn't be doing this for the 3rd time if I had everything... Employee then proceeded to call me a "hoe" in front of everyone in the restaurant and her manager and other employees. I get her name and a number to call for the complaint... I finally leave almost an hour later... Then handing my son his drink and malt... However they did not give us straws for them..
incorrect order
My husband went to Whataburger #32 today to get a business order. He simply order 2 #6 with cheese
2 Jr. Cheeseburger
and
3 #1 with cheese.
Even though extra cheese is charged to him; no cheese were on the burgers. The burgers were very cold and very dry, and the fries were rubbery. We are less than 5 miles from the establishment so nothing should have been as if they were refrigerated. Very unhappy with out lunch today the lunch we provided to some of our employees.
Incorrect order...Order burgers with cheese...no cheese. Burers and fries were cold and very dry. Very unhappy with lunch and the extra cost for cheese.
manager / food
I stopped by the store in Royse City Texas where I live around 11:50 pm on 05/14/2018 the manager there is so not qualified to be a manager, I got home my order was wrong, I called back up there and the "" manager"" I was telling I paid for a double meat jr. With cheese and a small fry for 6:25 total. But there was no cheese on the double burger I called and spoke to the manager and on the phone she told me bye I said what manager do not listen to a complaint so I took my order back up there walked in the door no one was at the counter or the drive thru I yelled out hello hello and finally one of the workers stuck her head around the corner I said I need to see the manager and the first word out the manager's mouth was give her her money back so I got rude because it pissed me off what manager do not make the order correct but instead say give her her money back so I told her that I once was a manager at Whataburger in Dallas years ago and that is not how you do it she brought my money back to the counter and laid it down on the counter I do not appreciate how I was treated and I will not go back there ever again.. is she told me to F myself really you have people working that talk to your customers that way. I do not know her name but she was working on Monday night around 11:50 p.m. On May 14th, 2018 Thank you, I heard one of the team members ask the manager do you want me to make her order correct and she said no I'm going to give her her money back so she can get out of here. And then I got really rude and she told me to F myself she brung the money to the counter and laid it down on the counter and turned her back and walked away. I do not appreciate being treated like that in a public restaurant by a manager I stated to her most managers take your name and make your order right.
drive thru customer service/meal
I really don't know if your Whataburger cares much about customer service, but I was not satisfied with the service I recieved from your drive thru employee nor the cook. There is lack of attention and customer service overall. Your drive thru employee which was a female made me feel like I had to rush and let her know what I wanted to order. She came and charged me about 5 minutes after I was already at the window, and never even acknowledged that she would be right with me. She gave me my order and did not even offer condiments, and just closed the window giving me no time to even ask for any. I asked her for 2 jalapeños at the time of paying, and she only gave me 1 for which she didnt even charge me for. Worst of all, I asked for a #21 with bacon and the receipt says it, and I got a sausage BOB, for which I HATE SAUSAGE! As well for the fries, they were only about 1/3 full. Therefore, I paid about 2 hours of an employees pay, and ended up with nothing to eat. I used to be a manager at a Whataburger in South Padre Island, and I would have never tolerated this from my employees. This just reflects the type of management at this specific store.
wrong order twice
On 2 separate nights other including tonight, my order was wrong. I order food with no onions and keep getting onions. Tonight my fiancé went back bc they didn't put bacon on his burger and again I had onions. When he got back home, his burger had bacon but there meat was cold and cheese was not melted making us believe that the meat was just out on a diff bun and added bacon. And my burger had onions AGAIN. I cannot even eat the burgers after taking off the onions bc I still taste them and it literally makes me nauseated to where I cannot even eat. This problem needs to be addressed ASAP
food burnt and greasy
So I go to Whataburger 398 James is my cashier I order your number 6 double meat to Jesus extra onions extra tomatoes whatasize my fries& drink medium onion ring.he goes to the back to taking orders. At this time I don't know his name. Starts to make french fries and onion rings. So in the process he finishes the fries he pulls out the onion rings he accidentally drops them back in the grease stumbles to get them out then put them back on the rack he serves up a order to a drive-in now mind you my orders next he scrapes off all the crumbs that are in the rest of the basket makes my order and says 84 I go up I look at my food now this is where the problem is I asked my cashier can he make me some fresh onion rings because these are greasy and I didn't order onion ring bites he looks at me and tells me these are fresh and starts talking to the next customer he did not listen so he ignored me so I'm calling to report James and his manager
whataburger regular burger
I visited the Lancaster, Texas Whataburger yesterday, April 28, 2018. The meat had a very funny, almost rancid taste, not like any other Whataburger I'd ever tasted. It even upset my stomach. I was told by the store manager that the meat was not old, that the batch of meat had not expired and that they do not use any different meat than any other Whataburger; nevertheless it had that taste and it left an after taste on my tongue.
service at the establishment
As I sit there eating my biscuits and gravy the cashier at the front counter whom I believe her name is Diane. As she was helping other customers she asked if someone could deliver the tray of food and she asked nicely and said please. However the other employees did not help her out. Although the lady at the drive thru told her the sweet tea was almost out. I had to sit there listen to the cook say her name hatefully but the cashier always said thank you. As I was leaving I watch the lady at the drivethru and a guy walk straight out side to smoke instead of making that sweet tea that they said they were almost out of.
poor quality service
On April 10, 2018 I tried out the new Whataburger in College Station, Restaurant No. 1135. Upon receiving my order and arriving home I realized my iced tea had no ice, 2 orders of fries were missing, and they did not include any dipping sauce. I understand the store is new and I would like to point out this slight kink in the system. Whataburger is better than this service and want to ensure the store is held to the highest standard.
