Provided incorrect dimensions costing us $2200.
We ordered 20+ windows from window world and three sliding doors. We asked our salesman to get us the dimensions of one glass panel on a sliding door, we had to special order a pane of glass with a dog door in it. Our salesman reached out to Huntsville's GM who provided those dimensions to our salesman. He passed those dimensions to us at our house, and we ordered the pane with dog door in it. $1100.00.
When window world showed up to install our windows, they told us the pane we ordered was too short, and too wide.
Window World refused to consider covering the cost for the dog glass panel due to our receiving the incorrect measurements verbally, stating there was nothing in writing. It was passed to us by our salesperson, who received them from the GM.
Pretty sad when a company as big as Window world passes the cost to a customer when they were clearly at fault. We did order another at $1100.00
I will continue to post my dissatisfaction on social media, inform my neighbors as I am active in our community, and I would like the owners to know what has occurred.
Desired outcome: Own your mistake when your salesman also stated he received those dimensions from the GM.

After seven months of mixed information of when our windows would arrive, being told seven weeks in a row "they are shipping this Friday... even by the GM of Hsv. If you left him a message, no return phone call. Extremely bad communication from this company.

Window install
I ordered windows from Window World on August 2021. As of today, November 2022 i am still trying to get the windows fixed, corrected.
Windows arrived late, about 7 months after i placed my order. When the installers arrive i was informed that the windows where not measured correctly and will need to be reordered.
Four months later the new windows arrived. Installers intentionally installed the incorrect trim on some of the windows and said they ran out of the correct trim. Caulking job was terrible. Several of the windows would not lock. One of the windows would not open past 10 inches. One of the windows had to be reordered again due to the wrong size.
Now its October 2022...replacement window arrived. However Installers forgot to bring the correct trim. After reviewing all of the windows it was determined that some parts of the windows (for 3 windows) need to be replaced and the one new window leaks.
There is no accountability with this company. When i reach out to them calls and text messages are not returned. Clearly they do not communicate with each other and do not care about the consumer. Also there is no pride in their work. I do not recommend using this company.
Patio doors
In December 2021 my wife and I order 7 patio doors for our sunroom. After ordering we heard nothing for months. We would call and have to leave messages, or we would be told they would have to check into it, and call us back, except no one ever called us back. Finally, we receive an install date. Late May or early June 2022. The installers arrived at 11:30am the first day and left at 2:30pm. Second day, they arrived at 10am and left at 3pm. Third day, Saturday, they arrived at 10:30am and were done at 2pm. Before they left, I went to look over the work. Terribe, absolutely terrible. Doors didn't close right. One door had to be slammed closed so it would lock. They left debris all over the work area in the yard. Screen doors were mismatched, torn and one was installed upside down so it would "look right." When I asked them what was up with this quality of work, the head installer actually said, "I just put them in, now it's service work, and I don't do service work." We called a dozen times to the main office to schedule "service" and never really got any really answers or dates. Finally got their service manager to come out, to fix the long list of problems and when he arrived, he said, "I didn't know there were all these problems, I can't fix all this today." He then also informed us that all the door were going to need to be re-installed because they were so badly put in. Numerous calls later, he finally came back, it's now October 2022. He spent 2 days "re-installing" the doors. The screen doors were part of that fix. He was going to have to come back out again to do those. The screen doors were supposed to have been reordered back after the original install. Except they were not. The screens arrived at their shop; except they were the wrong screens. They ordered them again. I spoke with Halim, the owner of the business about all the issues we've had since the beginning of this whole project. He swore up and down that he would personally make sure everything was taken care of. When the Service manager arrived to put the latest screens on the house, they were the wrong screens again. Nobody bothered to even check them before coming out. Halim promised to not charge us for the screens and said he would give us a 10% discount off the total job. Except we haven't heard from him since and he won't call us back. We leave voicemails because no one will answer the phone. And surprisingly the finance has heard anything about any discounts... So shocking! This company is terrible! Communication is terrible! They've lied to us just about every time we have been able to get ahold of them. If their going to make promises, then follow through.
Desired outcome: I want them to follow through on their promise of 10% discount.
window world of alabama
I have been waiting for 1 window for almost 1.5 years land it has not been delivered. I am repairing a house that has been burned and near to move in and I still don't have the last window that is supposed to have been ordered. The salesperson in Alabama lied to me just to get my money and did not order the last window that is owed to me. This is absolutely ridiculous. I still cannot move into my house because of Window World. I CANNOT pass inspection because of Window World. I CANNOT enjoy my family for the holidays because of Window World. I CANNOT enjoy my new home because of Window World. What must I do to get my window. Please call me at [protected].

Windows
The owner installed these windows. The caulking looks like a three year old put it on. They rushed through the install. Now we have leaks and they want to charge to come fix them. I had southwest exteriors install front windows and they look great and don't leak. See pics for quality of work.

Small slider windows
The small slider windows I got from window world, look like something that should go in a camper trailer. There is very little window and mostly vinyl. They look cheap, but I paid almost $1000.00 for 2 windows. The man who put these windows in said that they were not measured correctly. I complained about them, but nothing was ever done. All the other windows in my house look nice. These two windows look out of place. People, please shop around before considering Window world. The salesman that we talked to just bragged about how much money that he made anyway.
Quality
For almost a year (Jan 2022) we have been going back and fourth with this company regarding late products, poor quality of products, no delivery of products now its come to FRAUD.
On 9/21/22 they charged my Wells Fargo account without verification or signature for a product that was incorrect 4xs, late by 8 months and not delivered with screens on 2 doors! Before the installers started or the product was delivered I spoke with the manager regarding payment. I explained that I would not be paying any additional funds due to the horrible service and if that was a problem he needed to refund my complete deposit. He assured me he would take care of everything and apologized and asked me to take down a previous BBB report because he 'got in trouble with corporate.'
I made sure to tell the installers that I would not be paying one dime for this product. I would not be paying a balance for products. Absolutely no money would be exchanged; I had the installers check with the manager/Window World to make sure there would be no charges. If there was I repeatedly stated I wanted my $2100 deposit returned and they could keep the product after all of the delays and missteps. They checked and I had no balance to pay per installers. The manager promised there would be no charge.
I look on my charge bill from Wells Fargo after almost 2 months and there is a charge without my knowledge and no signed paperwork for $1095! It's been reported to credit card company as fraud and we wrote to the manager who after receiving a complaint from BBB wants to now 'sit down and talk' but was not previously responding. The worst part is that I spoke with WW customer service representative the same day 9/21/22 and explained that nothing was to be charged to the account and she needed to speak with her manager, Halim, to clear all of this up. She charged the account without permission or paperwork anyway. This is my 2nd complaint about this company. Tammy Whitworth needs to address this immediately! They are not of their word and very shady with people's credit information. Fraud is unacceptable!
Desired outcome: Charges off credit account immediately and repairs completed without charge per warranty!
Lack of business manners & communication
I would not recommend this company at all. Paid my deposit on 7/22/22, was told it would take 10 weeks before window would arrive & could be installed. Well this is 10/6/22 (over 10 weeks) - i called 2 numbers [protected] & [protected] - i used & left message on 1 nmber in the a.M. & approx. 1 pm called the other number & left msg. - i never received a call back either time. Just for the hell f it, i called again & this kim answered - she gave me a hugh pile of excuses why there was no call back, etc. I really did not want to hear all this &^%$ so i said goodbye & hung up - well she called me back & started to tell me how rude i was - now is that professional and business manners? in the meantime (between calls) i tried to find a main site to e-mail the ceo (or one of her flunckies) about my lack of communications by ww, well after a bunch of questions by the "on-line" chat - i was bounced over to a site that wanted me to pay $1.00 to get an answer - no come on - do they have that many complaints & have such bad turnover that they have to charge to get an answer from a complaint. Anyway, i have a huge number of windows that need to be replaced - i sill not use window world - they showed their true colors & kim & company should not be allowed to have this franchise with window world - such professional manners ? bet they don't show up on 10/12/2022.
Desired outcome: Just get the original ordered window in & I will go elsewhere for the 15 window replacements elsewhere.
Complaint
We have contacted the Window World office twice since our windows were installed, several weeks ago. We even talked to our salesperson, and he said he had given information to his bosses. We live in Lake Charles, La and paid cash for our windows. The material left from the installation is still on the ground by the windows. The windows still have huge openings at the top of them. My wife just wanted new windows and she could not get them installed correctly. We have sent pictures to the salesperson and the office, with no one fixing the bad work. We had one person from window world come out and he was suppose to report it to his boss, still nothing. HELP, HELP, HELP
French door and installation
Ordered 6-11-22. On 8-30-22 Two guys arrived with the door spent an hour standing it in , foaming al around the door. Leaving said they and another team would be back in 3 days. It is now 9-9-22 and no sign of them. After having figured out I was scammed , I looked the door over very well. Substandard construction and unbelievable installation. And this was $ 6,927. for custom door. Salesman Duff Ball from the San Antonio Tx office is due to arrive here Saturday 9-10-22
Desired outcome: Replace the sub-door with a custom door as purchased with real installers.

transfer of files from windows 7
I had transfer several files from my windows 7 to this new widows 10 system. Like pictures and music. I have been able to access them for the last year, but this one drive has been giving me problems. I have lots of space on my system but windows keeps trying to move them to the one drive.
it seems like a tug of war.
Now I cannot find my music file, that use to be in my folders.
Search does not find my files

Worst customer service ever. Ordered windows 4 months ago. Salesman seemed to not understand us may have been stoned? All paper work signed in April never submitted by salesman. 4 months later no windows. Called customer service,said they apologized and would notify upper management who would call me. Got no response. Used to be great company too bad.
Desired outcome: windows installed as soon as possible
Purchased over $12,000.00 worth of windows and a door last September 2021. Windows and door were installed in March of 2022. 2 windows were broken and not replaced yet. At that time ordered a storm door to go with the door and Windows Worlds has received it but has not gotten around to installing it yet.
We also had new gutters installed on a different home installed in March and they have dripping leaks all around the house. Not good. Ordered a sliding glass door at the time and it is now 8/31 and it has not been installed yet. We were told it would be installed in August. Guess we should have asked in what year? since we haven't heard from them yet.
Needless to say, we have been very disappointed with the service. Sales was great, product seems good but service is lousy. Given what I know now, I would have gone a totally different route even if it cost more. We are talking close to or more than $20,000.00 investment.
Patio Door
We bought and had a Patio Door and Window installed in late July 2022.
Number 1: The door would not lock. The installer said the part was new and it would loosen and lock.
Number 2: They left with the window and door still covered with glue from the packaging tape and the door not locking.
Number 3. They sent a maintenance person out to fix the door and he stated that the door needed another part and that they would order a new one. I told him about the tape residue left on the window and he said: "I am not a window cleaner", we will order the part and it will be a couple weeks.
Forward a couple weeks:
They call on Monday and said the part in in we will be there on Tuesday to fix your door.
Tuesday comes and we get a call saying the company sent the wrong part and we are having the correct part overnighted and we will be out tomorrow...
THAT IS THE LAST WE HAVE HEARD FROM THEM FOR TWO WEEKS
Desired outcome: Get off the windows you are standing on and fix my door.
I'm having trouble with one of my windows not staying up and is loose on one side.
I have tried to schedule a service call numerous times with Window World of Orlando since June. Each time being told they would call back in 2 to 3 weeks to schedule.
On 6/3 I spoke with Tom and was told it would be the end of June, beginning of July. No response.
On 7/19 I called for service and left a message.
On 7/20 I spoke with Jessica for service request and I was told they would call back within 24 to 48 Hours. No response.
On 7/22 I left a message on Nicole's voice mail. No response.
On 7/26 I called but no answer and voice mailbox was full. Couldn't leave a message.
On 7/28 I spoke to Elisha and he connected me to Zack. I was told they were 2 to 3 weeks out and he would call me back to schedule.
On 8/19 No one answered and I left a message.
After dong a little research I found that the pivot shoe was bad and needed replacement. I told this to Zack. He said it was no problem and he would make sure the service rep. would ha replacements with him.
Desired outcome: I would like a return call and a scheduled time and date for this repair

The beginning of year notified customer service I was told I needed to contact the local branch .I have contacted the Dothan location several times and everytime I talk to Jawanna or Josh it's a different story.The door was supposed to be ordered already I was told Monday they wasn't sure if they was going to pay because the pictures Josh sent in was white and my door is almond .Wednesday Jawanna said the door would be in August 30th ,I asked when would it be installed she said she would have to talk to Josh.I would have to pay for the door that has a life time warranty but could not tell me what I would have to pay She said she would have to find out .I never can get a straight

Windows seals are leaking. Windows are discolored
This is 7 months now that I have been trying to get discolored windows replaced. I have been given the run around by Tampa supervisor as well as regional supervisor in New Orleans. Please see the message from your manager below... I can't believe she attempting to make this our issue. It is clear that the errors fall completely on Window World. Weve paid 60% of our bill. Completely unacceptable treatment of your customer. I choose Window World for the customer service, and I received the complete opposite. I received a call from another Amber from this office and she stated, "we cleaned house and fired most of the people that were working with you because they couldn't do their job." She told me this expecting me to be understanding and accept the horrible service. I do believe Window World did shoulder responsibility by reordering your doors. Window World also ordered nearly $200 in glass for your bathroom that you didn’t pay for, as a courtesy. There are no national regulations as to which side your light switch should be on, I have also never heard of a state regulation regarding that. To be diligent, however, I do have a call in to the city of Whittier and a building inspector will be calling me around 3:30pm for verification, as we want to make sure we’re code compliant. Regardless, the replacement doors have been ordered, the picture windows weren’t on this contract, and they have nothing to do with this project.
In regards to your screens, there was an industry wide supply chain disruption, which is still ongoing. You were contacted to have the screens delivered as soon as they came in.
I see Yolla has you scheduled for installation. We will see you on March 9th for completion and to close out your account.

The sliding doors were not ordered to code, sliders must open on light switch side. Your professional window installers should know that. My expertise is not window installation, it is completely understandable that a customer would not understand the codes that must be enforced. Why would we want doors to open the wrong way? We as customers were under the impression that we were ordering replacement windows and we would be taken care of by professional installers. Window World sent a professional installer to review and measure to ensure the job was done properly. And still the order went through incorrectly. We received two sliding doors that open in the wrong direction and no screens. The error was completely window worlds, Not your customers. Window World should take responsibility for their mistakes not push them onto the customer. We’ve been very patient though all of this, We’ve been attempting to communicate and give suggestions and have received very little communication from your office.

I'm still waiting for update on how all the issues we had with installation and windows will be taken care of I understand you've had to deal with Covid related issues but I'm concerned on how this is going to be resolved
I have been asking for an update, I need to know how Window World is going to correct the below issues. I am update YELP review and seek out my options elsewhere.
All I’m asking is for the Company who promotes Customer Service to provide it.

Desired outcome: We paid 60% of the bill and feel we should not have to pay the remainder of the balance. I suggested many option to make this right and nothing was even considered.
Window World installation
Contracted installers who attempted to install my windows did the following: Did not insulate the windows with foam. Poorly trimmed the windows and used to much or no caulk at all. Some is falling off after two weeks. Did not measure the opening before removing the old window. New window was to tall. I had to remove my sill to make it fit or have plastic over the hole for two months until a new one could be ordered. Broke bathroom tile around window and gobbed caulk over it to hide it (made it look even worse). Clogged the shower with debris due to them not putting down plastic. Had to remove the P trap to clear. bathtub took a while to clean. 4 windows so badly installed they will need completely replaced. The rest will need removed and reinstalled in two months. Crew left their trash all over my property including large pieces glass that ended up in my dogs foot. Killed some herbs in my garden by tossing debris on them (not under the window). Left the windows covered in hand and face grease. Let them use my garage to work and left it with glass on the floor. While I get a company cant control 100% of the labor, they can control how they respond to the issue. Called Window world, they sent a guy out to inspect. He agreed it was very bad and placed a new order to fix the windows. Called the main office about the damage. Told to expect a call in 24 hours. Waited 5 days and I called back. They offered me 200$ off. That wont cover the broken tile or replacing the surround. Told I would get a call back in 24 hours. 5 days later I call and they offer me 400$. I have been nice up to this point, 400 for this fiasco is an insult. Window world is a large company who cares nothing for you. Currently I am speaking with a lawyer and this might end up in court. Do your research like I failed to do. Don't let that warranty get you. Its a trap.

Window Installation
My husband and I purchased our windows for our home in October of 2020. It is now July of 2022 and we are still waiting on our last window to be replaced. The communication from the Orlando office is horrible. We the ones calling to follow up and always get the run around. There is no follow up. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I work in the industry of flipping houses/duplexes so I could be referring lots of business but will never because no one seems to care to call us back or get this matter resolved.
Desired outcome: I would like some type of refund and an apology.
