Good afternoon, I have recently been purchasing your Woolworths branded Gingernut Biscuits, 250gm pack, and the first few packs as purchased, were of a very good and consistent quality.
A recent pack as purchased though and opened today, the biscuits have a distinct different appearance, colour is much paler in appearance, discs are very brittle and break easily on eating, and mouth feel is quite different in my opinion..
I have attached photo of 2 discs, one being darker is from previous purchase, I can not tell you BB4 unfortunately as I do not have packaging, and the lighter one is from the new purchase today , BB4 4th of Feb, 2024, pic of packaging is attached.
As I had spent many years myself in the high volume, production baking industry, I do understand there are many reasons for discrepancies in quality such as this, but in my experience, I have generally tried to control these prior to release with a number of controls in place.
In this instance, without having full knowledge of your process, it appears to be possibly either mixing issue perhaps or baking issue or unscheduled delays in the process somewhere.
Just wanting to let you know of the issue that possibly are already aware of, I will continue to purchase this product but hope they return to the original quality and consistency as experienced.
