I have received several unauthorized charges to my back account from xbox live. My son signed up for xbox live for a one time purchase. Which was maybe several months ago. Now I have received several charges on my account. What is the next step for this?

You may have unintentionally set it up so that microsoft can bill you recurringly. A phone call to explain the possible misunderstanding may help.

I am sure you know what you are talking about but we have used this for at least a year or more and have never had a problem. Are you 100% sure that maybe your kids aren't charging them without your knowledge. it would be easy to do once your card is in their system all your kids have to do is click on it. My son knows he has to have permission so we havent had an issue. Just a thought. Good luck!

I have had the same problem with X-box live charging my credit card without authorization when the credit card was "supposedly" removed from their system. They charged my account in July and after a supposedly resolution they charged it again in August for a year subscription (credit card information was still supposedly not in their system) and now again they have charged my credit card for a two year susbscription. They refunded the subscription fee but now refuse to refund the overdraft fees. I am looking for people who have also had this problem so that maybe something can be done!

I have also discovered many unauthorized charges. I agreed to pay a $52.07 charge for 1 year of Xbox, for my 13 year old son. Payment was made with my credit card. In reviewing my 2010 CC statement I have been charged for an additional 12 charges totaling $134.02. Spoke with Xbox, very fishy! After 45 minutes was told to file a disputed charge with my CC. He also told me to go to settings and change billing, which my son did since I know nothing about this device. I better get my money back! Very unethical business practices. Has anyone actually had these charges reversed? Or does all that contractual lingo cover their unauthoprized charges? Doesn't Bill Gates have enough money already? Does he really need to steal from the parents who actually purchased his Xbox, from him? Very unhappy I will fight this, and better win!

Over $400 charges yesterday on my boyfriends debit card for XBox Live purchases. The bank called him, he called Microsoft and they refused to refund him the money at all. They said dispute the charges with your bank. Dispite the fact that it was his credit card making the purchases, Microsoft refused to reveal the email address attached to the purchases making it impossible to trace the thief. Obviously, if they don't require the code from the back of the card, Microsoft is encouraging these fraudulent charges knowing full well that most people will give up the fight to get the money back. As usual the thieving giant is at it again, skrewing the little guy. We would happily join a group of people interested in pursuing this issue.
