Yahoo! too many ads

Holy crap, I have been a customer for years, changing my home page to yahoo.com, I have a few email accounts but lately they have changed there pages. email is slow and when you follow links on there home page you get hammered with ad's, not just the pesky ones but whole pages launch. I'm giving them 3 more months then I'm switching to someone else. The new design makes you launch into another page if you want to read more than 5 line of txt, not cool.

Yahoo! news feed

It is appalling that in almost every story in yahoo's news feed there are spelling and grammatical errors so blatant it can only mean that no editing or checking has been done by anyone on yahoo's extensive staff. If you can't spell you shouldn't be writing! At least have someone check the work before publishing it. Sometimes it's completely unreadable. It's not difficult - even this complaints dialogue box has a spell check!
I am also so tired of clicking on a link in the news feed only to be taken to a completely unrelated news story, or better still to this lovely message:
"oooops! Sorry we couldn't find the requested page... Now searching for your results!"
This is still popping up on the only story I had any interest in today - the solar flare images from nasa.
Thank you for reading my rant. Sorry for the "yelling".

As of July 2016 clicking on news feeds on Yahoo that say "Read More" now is really getting bad.
After clicking "Read More' on their page can send your computer into oblivion. I use to like the way
Yahoo had the original. Be careful as those pages have so much multi media it creates many many threads into the computer. I have a good computer and it just gets strangled by all those multimedia ads. I wonder if they even check those redirect pages to make sure thy are safe.
I think a majority of Yahoo users would agree.

I am concerned that Yahoo would post dishonest material from Kati Couric. Now that you are well aware of her manipulation of facts, I certainly hope to see that she has been fired or at the least that a disclaimer be placed on any material she provides encouraging the public to do a fact check to verify that the material has not been altered to hide the true content.

I 100 percent agree. I get so tired or reading news articles that are just a snippet of news and you get the "read more" click here button. Then you get another page of some tidbits with another "read more" button. The goal of Yahoo News is obvious here. By making he reader click from page to page generates money. The more clicking the more money. Please fix your news pages and give complete news in an article and learn to use spell check and stop making me click to read an article.

Yahoo! mail

I am complaining about my email account. I am continually bombarded with adds, it is so bad I can't type email. I tried Xing out the adds and it said I could pay 5.00 monthly to get them blocked. Well I didn't request them in the first place and will be damned if I pay to get rid of them.
AOL or Gmail here I come.

I also cannot stand all the new ads! They slow everything up to a snail's pace and make it impossible for me to write email's because it can't keep up with my typing (which is nothing to brag about)! It takes forever to load the yahoo page in the first place because of the ads! What is wrong with you yahoo?

Yahoo! email

3/26/16

Sirs,
My email stopped working on 3/23/16 with no explanation. I know my password but it would not work. I contacted yahoo by their number that was recently changed and it states they will not except calls. I went on their website sending messages to please call me because my acct is locked out. I called [protected] and [protected] with no results.

not only am I unemployed and looking for work, all the employers were contacting me through my email with Yahoo which I can't get into. I also have a major lawsuit out which all my contacts and information is in my Yahoo acct. It is pertinent that these people contact me so I can achieve my email and they refuse. I am very upset about their relationships with customers in this demeanor. My email address is [protected]@yahoo.com that is not working.

My phone number which I left for Yahoo to no avail is [protected]. I gave them a b/u email which the message from Yahoo says don't exist. I even left my home phone number as a b/u but Yahoo refuses to call. What should I do next? p.s the website took my email address but not my password. I tried to put it in over 20 times. then it locked me out of my acct for 12 hrs and I tried the next day to know avail.

Yahoo! web hosting /business email scam

I have not been able to access my business email account for a very long time -- embarrassingly long. I finally called them to cancel. But the credit card information had changed so they refused to cancel it and said I should do PW recovery so I could cancel myself. I explained that prior attempts to recover had failed. Of course it failed again. Then they asked for the address when I registered the domain name which I provided and it still would not match. Finally, called the credit card company to see if they had the prior history for what number it might have been and that worked! So now we will see if they actually stop the billing. But what is clear is that Yahoo Business Services makes it extremely difficult to cancel which is part of their scam to pay rather than cancel.

I will watch to see if they actually stop the billing payments.

Yahoo! domain charging policies

I phoned the 1-866 number to try to cancel my domain with yahoo but got a busy signal. I finally got through today and after a 45 minute conversation I finally got the domains cancelled, however, I was charged for the domains 34 days ago, 4 days after the 30 day refund policy and yahoo refused to credit my credit card. Really? With that kind of customer service why would anyone want to do business with them? I have been unable to even pull up my website for some time now. Buyer beware! I am filing a complaint with my state's attorney general's office.

To bad YAHOO has hit bottom. When I delete current posts, YAHOO deletes the server as if it was a virus. So the sites that I interact with most have been put into the SPAM category so I cannot receive posts from them. YAHOO used to be so much better then AOL, now, it's just a SPAM site!

The new homepage is terrible. I can't block items I do not want to see or read about, especially regarding human and animal abuse. It was so easy before to click on the blocking symbol which I no longer have now. No wonder Yahoo is going bankrupt, whoever developed this new homepage page should be fired.

Yahoo! aabaco online services

On Wed. Feb 24, 2016 I received a call from Yahoo regarding my prior complaints; both were posted on this site as well as hard copies sent USPS to the companies. He said I could not receive a refund of the $89.97 charges because my information had already been put online January 1, 2016. I said that when I was online he could erase information with a click of a button; why couldn't they? The caller said I have the account for 3 months and that there was no way to cancel. He did suggest that I go online to check my listing with Aabaco by logging in, going to Services tab and then navigating through their Dashboard. Perhaps there was a way to enhance what was online, at no cost, to take advantage of as much as possible since it could not be canceled.

I did as suggested the next day only to find NO SERVICES EXISTED FOR ME! No Web Hosting; No Merchant Solution; No Domain; No Business Email; No Local Listing. Upon calling [protected] (the number given to me on Wednesday to call if I encountered additional difficulties) I was told by their representative, Abi, that all services had been CANCELED AS OF JANUARY 29, 2016!

This is contrary to what Aman told me ON January 29th. Aman said he could not cancel the listing for 3 months and a refund could not be processed.
Well, it certainly didn't take 3 months
to delete me from Yahoo Services;
IT WAS IMMEDIATE

The practices of Yahoo and Aabaco are dishonest and meant to steal from clients.

In talking with Abi he said I was off all sites and could not be reinstated without additional costs even though I was forced to pay $89.97 and refused a refund. Also, when I went online to check my account information - on the account I was not using and now could not use - the phone number listed was not my office number and the alternate number shown was a number that does not exist: 555-5555! Abi asked for security codes. Not only did I never create any security questions or codes, the security questions Abi asked were not "answered correctly". He asked in which hospital I was born and my answer was wrong! He was asked for the phone number on file; again, my answer was wrong. I was able to access my account to see the phone number on file and to reset the security questions/answers. I was able to access my Account Profile to do this. I found that the phone number listed was actually my PRIVATE cell phone number which is a number never used at my office.

My belief is that when I called to initially complain I used my cell phone and someone from Yahoo or Aabaco copies the number from their caller id and used it to fill out the account profile without my knowledge,

Again, I requested a refund of $89.97 for work I did not authorize, did not want and not being provided. Aabaco said I had to stay online for 3 months because I did not cancel before January of 2016. Yet when I go online to view my listing it has already been cancelled and is not able to be reinstated. I wonder: if I opened a new account if it could be easily reinstated?

I believe that the business practices of Yahoo and Aabaco are less that honest! Again, I would greatly appreciate a refund of $89.97. I feel there is a viciousness and contempt being directed at me by Aabaco and Yahoo.

Since dealing with these people I have been hacked both on my business and personal accounts. The telephone number the hackers used was my PRIVATE NUMBER no one knew except these companies. This causes me great concern.

I hope to receive a phone call.

Dr. James J. Sadleir

the home page change is sickening. can't pick from 50 or more stories but 5. click on a story and get a "read more" which brings you to another thing altogether. can no longer check on previous posts and what others think of them. half of the stories can't even be commented on unless you sign up for face book, linkedin, twitter or other thing i don't have. i went to yahoo for the ease of posting and returning to my posts for scoring and replies. now they don't have those options. anyone have a different homepage where it is like yahoo was.

Yahoo's news stuff is commie junk, aimed at junior high school kids, and if you notice, a good number of the comments address this. Stilted, slanted libtard stuff, very obvious to most. Of course they don't want you reading the ciomments - because my gosh, you might smarten up.

Yes, Yahoo keeps getting worse. They may have to go extinct, and good riddance. Their constantly refreshing ads are so invasive, annoying, and overpowering that they even get in the way of typing basic emails. Ugh! That is the worst. And there is literally no way to contact Yahoo directly and complain. They donut care about their customers one bit. Thanks for ruining Yahoo and running it into the ground, clowns! You and all of yours are all about to fade away and hopefully go to burn in hell because your crappy system hardly works anymore! News Flash to Yahoo slaves--get ready to find a new job.

I agree, In my email yahoo add are very invasive annoying and overpowering. But not only this; I got a add against my political candidate and I closed it because that add was in my personal opinion offensive, meaning that offends my personal point of view. And then, yahoo repeated the add for me over and over. It show me a childish disrespectful and arrogant attitude of the people in charge of the adds .

What gives Yahoo? For years I've sent to an address with the dash - in the address, and now you say something is wrong. Now I can't reply to any email or compose. On another yahoo acct, I type in a normal address and you tell me there is something wrong with it, well it worked just fine several hours ago. So, I set up a gmail acct, and if you plan is to drive everyone off, well, at least you are succeeding at something. Yes, I cleared all the history, cookies, etc, shutdown, reloaded what ever, and you are still inop.

Yahoo! trial offer

On February 3, 2016 I submitted a complaint regarding Yahoo Small Business. I have confirmed additional information pertinent to my complaint.

The $89.97 charge from Yahoo, now Aabaco Small Business, has been placed in dispute with VISA. I received a 3 month Trial Offer. I did not sign a contract for any service beyond the first 90 days.

I also never gave them my credit card information. I never spoke with anyone from Yahoo/Aabaco Small Business to authorize their use of my credit card. Nor does anyone other than myself have the right to give out my credit card information.

Hard copies of this and my earlier posting are being sent via U.S. Mail to Aabaco's Privacy Policy Issues & Complaint Departments.

Yahoo! search

Yahoo behaves like virus.

Frequently, when I download something, I invariable get switched to Yahoo as my default search engine.

The most recent episode is worse. First Chromium was downloaded to replace Chrome. It was confusing as they look virtually identical and Chromium would launch instead of Chrome from my Chrome shortcut. In addition, the ability to change the default providers was frozen, so I had to use Yahoo. Finally, I got back to using Chrome, but it has been infected and always launches with Yahoo even though the default is set to Google.

Thanks for nothing Yahoo. YOU ARE THE VIRUS!

Yahoo probably uses these forced sign ups to count as new users that they report to investors to claim their business is holding steady. That would be FRAUD! Will report this to the NY Attorney General.

The new home page is so awful I cannot believe the upper-level honchos

If I go back to home page and then immediately return to messages, I might
get to look at a couple of messages before the darn thing screws up again.
What the #$%^ has happened. And, will I ever get a reply.

The new homepage is very frustrating to use. It's very annoying to click on a headline, then be taken to a partial article, then click "read more, " only to be taken to a completely different news website in a new window for the full article. If you're going to post content from other sites, then link directly to that site from the headline on the Yahoo! homepage without the step in between. Yahoo! has been my default home page since the 90s, but this is annoying enough to make me switch.

Yahoo! yahoo small business

Dr. Sadleir was given a trial offer to Yahoo Small Business October 23, 2015. A TRIAL OFFER. He was billed, and he paid, $89.97. There was absolutely NO ACTIVITY on Dr. Sadleir's site during the trial period. Dr. Sadleir was never contacted by Yahoo during or after the trial period; yet, another charge of $89.97 was made to his charge card in January of 2016.

January 28, 2016: Dr. Sadleir called Yahoo [protected]) for an explanation of the charge. He spoke with Aman. He was told Yahoo is now called Aabacco Small Business. He had to call back.

January 29, 2016: Dr. Sadleir called a different number [protected]).

Spoke with Sudip who insisted on going through the process of actually creating a log-in as Dr. Sadleir had not yet activated his account. This seemed an unnecessary and time wasting activity but the C/S rep was insistent he couldn't help without going through the lengthy process.

The heading on an e-mail sent to Dr. Sadleir during this process stated ther following: Billing Case: [protected] [ref:o000000BG5AGAA1:ref]

Eventually Sudip answered the simple question: what was the charge for and could he credit it? The charge was for the 1st quarter of a Yahoo work plan which went into effect when the initial "trial period" ended. No, it could not be credited.

Dr. Sadleir was NOT CONTACTED during or at the end of the trial period to "renew" his account. If he had been, he would have cancelled. There had been no activity and was, therefore, of no benefit to him.

Dr. Sadleir requested and eventually was connected to C/S Manager, Aman. Direct line to him is [protected]). He explained that their service is a quarterly on-line listing which, once published, exists for 3 months. The $89.97 charge was to include Dr. Sadleir in this listing. It could not be credited as the listing had already been published. The plan could not be cancelled until the end of the quarter, April 23, 2016.

Dr. Sadleir requested to be transferred or to be given the number of the Complaint Department. He was told there was not such a department at the company. A satisfaction survey would automatically be generated at the end of their phone call; Dr. Sadleir would have to use this survey to relay his complaint to the company, which he did.

However, Dr. Sadleir would appreciate speaking with someone in authority to discuss Yahoo/Aabacco's business practices.

Dr. Sadleir's complaint: He was given a trial offer. Yahoo didn't receive any confirmation from Dr. Sadleir that he wished to continue beyond the trial period. If Yahoo/Aabacco looks on-line they can confirm NO ACTIVITY, no hits or searches. Dr. Sadleir did not receive any notification (verbal, in writing or via e-mail) of forthcoming charges for the first quarter when the trial period ended. If Dr. Sadleir gave no permission (a clear Yes or No if contact had been attempted) to be billed after the trial period ended, Yahoo should not have proceeded with continuing the program. The bill in question should not have been generated in the first place.

Continuing with and issuing a bill for the program was done without
Dr. Sadleir's consent. It was done without notification or authorization of expenditure and IS WRONG & UNETHICAL. Consequently, Dr. Sadleir is requesting a REFUND of $89.97.

Yahoo! home page

31 january 2016

Hello yahoo!

For the past week your home page page has changed for the worse. Color way too bright.

But also, the little newsy-photos' arrows are not present so that I can click on either arrow and see other stories of interest.

The little newsy photos are frozen in place. The only photo that seems to change is the big photo above them.

And to the far left, where all of the icons are? No title of each icon shows up. All I see are icons, many of which I can't tell what they are for, and have no desire to go down the list and click on each one.

If this is your new & improved home page, you've clearly made a big mistake so far.

If bugs are in your site, when will they be removed? Thanks!

AND will you at YAHOO bother to RESPOND DIRECTLY to all of your CUSTOMERS WHO ARE STUCK WITH THIS LOUSY 'NEW' HOME PAGE?

You DO NOT NEED TO CHANGE THINGS JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN. It ISN'T ALWAYS FOR THE BETTER.

If YAHOO REALLY wants Satisfied Customers, YOU WILL EITHER COMPLETE YOUR CHANGES TO MAKE IT ACTUALLY EASY FOR WE THE PEOPLE,

OR CHANGE THE HOME PAGE BACK TO WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE AND HOW WE COULD EASILY USE IT AS BEFORE!?!

Otherwise, You WILL see us take off for some other Home Page!

I am very annoyed with the pop-up ads that interfere with the article I am reading. Also, I sould like to read an entire article without clicking again to"'read more". The most annoying are the articles that get you hooked and you have to click on Next Page 10 times. I am fed up with this, and will switch to another homepage if this does not change. Thank goodness I don't have Yahoo e mail!

Once I find an article I am interested in and click to load that page, I then have to load an additional page if I want to "read more..." I use to read Yahoo content all the time. Now it is just one big PAIN.
No wonder there stock is dropping. This is a horrible website anymore. I use their email and I am seriously rethinking that decision also and I am a paying customer.

YAHOO FINANCE logged me out while the stock market was still open.

I was copying historical data and pasting it to an Excel spread sheet. I was doing this for three stocks I was following and wanted to do comparison computation on them to decide what to buy.

When I finally navigated through a now USER HOSTILE INTERFACE, I found the procedure of copying and pasting historical data had become a complex process that required more data entry and complex manipulation.

That’s not all. After the files were downloaded and copied, I had to find them and delete them from the computer hard drive.

Why would Yahoo replace a simple interface with a complex multi-step process?
Does not Yahoo programmers have any experience in the stock market or in programming user interfaces?
Is this the product of a make-work project simply to keep some bureaucrats employed?

WHY WAS THE PRODUCT NOT TESTED ON REAL USERS? For 35 years I tested my user interface programs with real world users.

Why do I see a full face ad of Hillary the future convict when I go to log into Yahoo email? Your news is biased enough, using the term "news" as a mere token of the idea of responsible journalism, but to be slammed with a "Join the Movement" full face ad of a single candidate is not your place. I don't care about Yahoo's communist views, nor do I want to see your pet candidate propagandized in Yahoo content. It's reproachable.

Why when I click on a link to view a story do you open a video about something completely different that happens to be further down the page it interrupts the story I'm trying to view and read...it is annoying to say the least...I find myself having to close the whole page and not getting to see the story I originally clicked on...I've had Yahoo as my home page for years but not much longer if I can't view what I want without you interrupting...

its customers. No wonder the constant theme is Yahoo is going down the tubes, Marissa Meyer is terrible CEO (another Carly Fiorina?), Very soon we won't have to choose another provider, we will be forced to another provider since Yahoo will no longer exist!

Yahoo! nba player status and notifications

Yahoo is often inaccurate on the status of many NBA players. They often list players as GTD (Game Time Decision) but they do not always update right before the game whether a player will suit up. Many times injured players recover and Yahoo will list the players as "out" of action. Normally I would not complain about this but Yahoo is starting to charge money for many of these Leagues.
