incorrect listing on internet search site!
Here is the problem: a Yahoo search for "VA Hospital Salt Lake City" will give an incorrect phone number, an incorrect address and incorrect contact information. If you enter a Yahoo search for "VA Salt Lake City Healthcare System," the first listing is the correct one. This is the listing that should appear after the searcher types, "VA Hospital Salt Lake City." Even though we now call ourselves, "George E. Wahlen U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs VA Salt Lake City Healthcare System," people still search for us under "hospital."
Yahoo is guilty of poor customer service because they will not change the incorrect listing. In April 2007, I notified Yahoo about the incorrect listing by e-mail. I have received several e-mails from Yahoo about the problem. Finally, I was told to submit the correct information to [protected]@infousa.com and yellowpages.com. I followed Yahoo's instructions and submitted the information as required. There has been no change. I have been trying since April 2007 to get the Yahoo listing changed to the correct information. No one will change the incorrect listing. There was a similar problem with a Google listing. I notified Google and they corrected it immediately. I have no confidence in Yahoo and very little hope that they will ever do anything to correct this problem. Thank you for letting me tell you about the problem.

I can hardly believe there have been no complaints about this except one in 2002. But I agree with that complaint-poster: Yahoo Personals provides no living person contact for help. It is all "knowledge base" and automated responses. No phone number to call I live person, either. I, too, paid by credit card. While I have an account, when I have problems, there is no person to help. Lesson: before buying any service or product, make SURE the co. provides a way to contact a human being for customer support.

Yahoo, is the worst phony raghead that have ever happened, and I amsure that this will go no further, they are ###s and violent.
I have tried to get help from yahoo personals for a week now. I subscribed to yahoo personals ten days ago, my account was charged. A week ago I was asked to subscribe to continue my service. What terrible customer service. I tried e-mail, they told me to call during business hours. Once I found a phone number, I was able to talk to a live person, but she was in India. She was hard to understand. I asked to talk to someone in the states. They said they could not do that. I have been told twice now that the problem will be fixed in 24 hours. Then I was told it was at&t' s problem, they said it was yahoo personals problem, they said it was my banks problem. Now I will be contacted in 24 hours buy a representative of yahoo personals to discuss possible tech issues. No one can help and it it is the most frustrating experience I have had yet. In the meantime I was communicating with a nice guy and now I can't. Yahoo personals can't tell me why.

Yahoo voice automatically charges my debit card $2.99 (yes, 3 bucks) a month for my phone number and incoming calls. I have had funds on that card. On the day they tried to bill me, THEY had a problem, yet another company's payment went through just fine. Payments and deposits all month were fine, BUT Yahoo's.
All this month, I got emails saying they couldn't get payment, yet when I SCOURED their website AND called them, I could not make a payment as they do not let you, only automatically by a system that apparently is flawed.
Today, they turned off my phone number & THEN took $2.99 for August, but not September, which is due to be taken TODAY! (I have a small child in the house, I NEED my number WORKING!) Why not any other time last month, who knows?
So, they don't take September's three bucks and re-activate the phone. I used their online support chat for an hour, got nowhere. I called their billing, customer service AND corporate office lines (corp three times), and even sent them my card statement that proved that funds were available then AND now and that they took money at 7:59:18 this morning. Yet, I got nowhere or was shuffled to someone's voicemail.
I NEED my phone, they REFUSE to collect their $3 which is due TODAY, never mind the grace period, and they REFUSE to re-activate it. One mentioned that I'd have to wait a MONTH! All because THEY could not collect a MEASLY $3 which was available and still is. And apparently they CAN collect it as they did this morning for last month's. On a side note, I have emailed them about service problems and bad calls, yet I NEVER received a response nor credit for bad calls (when it eventually connects. (And I have a 10mps line btw) All I want is for them to take their THREE lousy bucks and turn my number back on IMMEDIATELY as it never should have been deactivated! And I SHOULD get some form of token credit or something for my several hours of time wasted on this issue, enormous amount of frustration, calls missed and dollars lost as nobody can call me now. Not to mention my daughter started school today and what if there is a problem?
If this is not fixed today, I will file a lawsuit (hopefully a class action), advertise competitors, alert my millions of subscribers and become a Google affiliate. All I want is for them to properly collect their $3 and provide decent service.

I have the same problem. I had the same responses. My 6 friends had the same problem on their accounts. They all had the same responses. Get the picture? Jajah is a rip off phone company. The FCC advised me that I am the owner of the number. Jajah is not permitted to sell that number to another customer. In order to get away with stealing the phone number, Jajah plays this game. But they did it to too many others that I know personally, so we realized what the object of their game is. It is a business experiment. Jajah is trying to discover if they can get away with stealing numbers from their customers, in violation of the new FCC regulations prohibiting that. They don't dare say "drop dead" to their customers, in order to delay any complaints from them to the FCC. They also try to "accidentally" resell the numbers to other customers to create the "hard choice" of which one to rip off. The purpose is to test the new federal regulations and to see how much they can get away with. The penalties are small enough and easy to escape from. The financial advantage of developing the skills needed to get away wth stealing desireable numbers outweighs the losses to any bad publicity or penalties. Jajah seems determined to become skilled at stealing numbers - with the least amount of negative repecussions. As the owner of the web domain www.knowmyproduct.com http://www.knowmyproduct.com I was very disappointed when after calling Yahoo to cancel this name registration they ran my credit card four months later for another year. When I called to speak with them they were so nice they canceled my service right away. BUT THEY REFUSED TO REFUND ANY OF MY MONEY. So I asked the girl to speak with a supervisor and she hung up on me. The reason I used a service like Yahoo was that their brand recognition meant something to me. It meant that I could trust them. I could not have been more wrong. Instead of knowing my product I guess I should know my hosting companies reputation. Check it out and you will find it is not so great. I would not do business with Yahoo again!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I'm still waiting for my refund after closing my Basic Plan account on May 29 during the 30 day grace period. Since then, I've twice spoken to Customer Service and Billing only to receive email confirmations that the refund has been issued and it should take 3-5 days to process. Today is July 22, and still no refund. My bank has temporarily credited me the owed amount and is currently investigating the issue. Moreover, as required, I called Customer Service on July 17 to cancel my monthly Web Hosting Plan (insufficient customisation tools and ease of access) to avoid the July 19 charge. I was assured by the agent that the plan had been cancelled and it would take up to 48 hours to complete. I was also assured in reply to my question that I wouldn't be charged on the 19th, but the debit did appear in my VISA statement. Finally, I have received no written cancellation confirmation from YSB (Abaco) which I need to file a dispute claim for any subsequent charges with my bank. I will call YSB again tomorrow. I only hope I don't have to cancel my credit card and get a new one to keep the hands of YSB out of my cookie jar. Avoid this web hosting site at all costs.
Yahoo domain registration and hosting is a major scam. If your domain is with Yahoo, move it now before they hold it hostage. Without control of your domain you have nothing. I paid them for a plan that included 5 years of hosting, email and domain registration. With about 8 months to go on the plan I received a notice from Goolge Adwords that my domain was down. Contacted Yahoo which is now in India and has been purchased by Verizon, In broken English they kept repeating that I had to put a credit card on file to activate the service and be able to move the domain. After a couple of days and many hours of my time I gave them the card to get my domain released. They billed it for another 5 years but did not provide domain registration, email does not work and hosting was up and down. I am disputing the charges with my credit card company. Stay away from Yahoo web hosting and domain registration, it is a scam and they will commit fraud. Don't waste your time arguing with them, give one call when they say no that is enough for you to dispute the charge on your credit card.
If they held your domain hostage contact Icannn to get this company banned, it is powered by Tucows as Yahoo doesn't have the ability to register a domain. I did contact Tucows they did not provide any help, said if Yahoo was saying I owed money the domain could not be released.

It takes 3 days to get a technical problem resolved and I had to subscribe to another service in order to keep from losing incoming emails. They then refused to reimburse me for the cost of the new service. This lack of professionalism cost them, I took my email and new website business SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I have a problem with Yahoo Email hosting as i was trying to recreate email account they are saying you can't as recreate it as per Yahoo policy and that policy was not communicated with us i checked all the emails and even when you delete your email account message says you can recreate that email id again, It's very strange that you can't control your own email domain accounts for me it's big scam as how come i can't control my email domain I'm really considering canceling my account with Yahoo after been using it for more than 6 years.
I have been with yahoo small business web hosting, the most expensive plan, for over 10 years. Over the last 12-18 months they have totally stopped providing even low-quality customer service. I have sent over 5 requests for services to be restored and they have blamed me each time stating that it is just not their fault. Yet, I still cannot update my links, clean out or download my files, etc. And they still fail to reply or repair the problems. I guess its because I am disabled and do not count for anything, just a second rate throwaway. It took six emails and numerous screenshots just to give me access to my domain manager. Each email they repeatedly told me to go to some link I did not even have. I am unable to call on a phone, (no TTY or VCO) because I cannot hear so they do not provide assistance to the deaf or disabled. They claim to provide help in English only yet I am still waiting for a reply that uses English properly and understandable and each reply is simply a copy&paste from one of their horribly outdated help pages, which each of us has probably already memorized, and never addressing the real issues. They do not even allow me to change or edit my payment info either so I will have to holler fraud too when they take money not authorized after I can get my files and leave. I guess the only way to keep a customer is to steal from them instead of providing services that actually work. Several years ago I never though about finding another provider, in the last year though I have visited over 20 other providers looking for what I need, taking them for a trial run, etc. I have decided to leave but now they will not allow me access to even download my own files. I have attempted to access files via FTP over 1000 times in the last tow days and will get to the top or second directory just to be cut off if I try to download them.
This happened to me today, I got a small business account then saw the poor themes they have and thinking that (as every LEGIT SERIOUS BUSINESS would do) they will refund me my money I decided to cancel, only to find out that I have given them my money for nothing because they win't refund me. Like WTF? You can't just expect for someone to choose your service if you do not refund the money when the merchant realises that your service might not be right for him, that is a total scam! Every web hosting site gives refunds! Yahoo SUCKS big time, will never make business wiyh them again.
I was at https://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/webhosting/ to sign up for a new domain name and webhosting but I had some very critical questions to ask and on the page was a phone number for sales [protected] I called that and was on hold for an hour, I listened to the same musical tune over and over again with a recording verifying that it was yahoo. I realized that if sales isn't even available it tells me a lot about perhaps a non existent customer service. I expected more, much more from a company like Yahoo. I then searched elsewhere and found another yahoo phone number [protected] to tell somebody that there is something wrong with the other phone number, that it just goes off to an un-manned call center. But the second number I called had no operator and the recording suggested that I call another number. so I called the third number and the recording at that number said things that made absolutely no sense at all and I was flabbergasted so I just hung up. What a loser company.
I had the exact same experience as everyone else. It's very hard to get hold of a person to talk to, the hold is usually over 45 minutes. When communicating through emails, it's always "we will call you back", but it _never_ happened. Most of the support staff are probably from a different country. They charge no matter what and you will never get a refund.
I have to say their customer service is the among the worst. Years ago I had the same bad experience with D-Link customer service (rude, hanging up on me) and never bought any D-Link products since, I don't think I will buy anything from Yahoo again.

Sep/28 I went to BMW service center to check up my car. the BMW dealer said the car warranty was expired last year! so he called the century motors dealership which place i bought car they said the car has warranty of mercury insurance. when i bought that they said it has BMW bumper to bumper warranty they said I do not have to worry about the car problems till 2012 75kmiles. the BMW service center care about all part of car and i asked them warranty book they said the car has vin number, , , so It does not need that just take a car to BMW service center... ...
i went to back century motors dealer ship they said the car x owner who is woman has warranty they said they called her then they are waiting for her documents for transfer warranty from her name to my name. they said "it takes a long time when the fax came. i will give you call" they've never call me back even though I called them over 40times….i call them Tuesday, Wednesday, thursday, Friday they said " we are still wating for her document. sometimes ignored phone and hang off!
Oct/2nd I went to dealership again they said the ex car owner is out of town they could not contact to her, now 21century we can connect to everywhere that was stupid lie I complained that but i could not that too much because i have broken English and i do not know a US law

I signed up with Yahoo! Web Hosting to host my Wordpress blog. After signing up, I clicked on "Activate a Wordpress blog" and their system set it all up. Everything worked well for about a week. This morning, Wordpress cannot connect to the MySQL database. As a result, my site is basically dead. I contacted Technical Support, was escalated to Tech Support 2, was put on hold repeatedly, and at the end of a 52-minute call was told that it was a server issue and it would be 3 to 5 business days before the problem was resolved. He offered no apology and then rushed off the phone. Three to five business days for a major company? I'm not sure which is worse... the problem or the way Yahoo! is handling it.

We left Yahoo for the same reason. We were having problems with mission critical areas of our website due to problems on Yahoo's end. The average wait time for tech support was 90 minutes! I don't wait that long at the DMV! We moved all of our services to Network Solutions (web) and Google (email) and we've never looked back!

Yahoo charges 11.95 a month for a web hosting starter package. they are about $5-8 more expensive than the average web hosting service (monsterhost got best reviews). but I thought a large company like yahoo would at least provide timely and accurate service. Yahoo is tracking the sites I go to on my computer using L.yimg, s.yimg and others. This slows down my computer and I believe it is probably illegal.
I can open my email because it was block because of pornograhy and I dont even view that stuff and I email Yahoo over two weeks and I haven't heard from them and I still cant get into my email.
