This number-[protected]-Washington DC has been calling my land line for at least 3 weeks pretending they're IRS collection and if I don't call back I will be in trouble. It sounds fishy coz we don't owe IRS and when I checked on reverse phone number its a landline..but when I checked my ID caller again another number came up..I guess they know how to scramble phone numbers.
I just can't ignore this call ( they just left messages coz I don't answer my phone unless I recognized the number) so I called back and I got busy signal twice. The third time I called it's an answering machine. I left a message to stop calling coz I know it's fake.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have been getting scam calls every day from the number [protected]. It is a recording of a man who sounds like he's from India. The recorded message states that my failure to return the call will result in my being arrested, facing a magistrate or grand jury and being brought up on criminal felony charges.
I am afraid to return the call, because I don't know where I would be calling, but when I did a reverse look up of this number it came up as YMAX Communications.
Looks like I will be filing my own harassment case.
Re: YMax Communications Mobile listed as Oakland, CA: The mobile number [protected] called my landline and played a message saying this is "Steve Martin" from the "Treasury Department" and I must contact this man to avoid any trouble and so they can help me. I believe this to be a matter of Interstate Fraud and falls under the U.S. RICO statutes of interstate crime.
I received a call from [protected] that on reverse phone look up shows as a YMax Communications Co. in Oakland, CA as a mobile phone. A message was played on my land line that says the call was from "Steve Martin" who was from the "Treasury Department" and that I needed to return his call to avoid trouble and so they could help me. I believe this to be Interstate Fraud and should be prosecuted under the U.S. Federal RICO laws.
I have been receiving calls from [protected], name is Betty Smith. Located in Carthage Mo. with Ymax Communications. When i call back i get a recording that the magic jack customer is unable to come to the and their message hasn't been set up. then i get a bill on my at&t saying i made a call to Toronto CD. for 1 min. at a cost of $1.45. I haven't been home yet to take the call.
