Good afternoon.
I have been a member at Colchester for many years. When lockdown occurred I heard nothing at all. On Saturday 1st May I decided to go to the centre to find out what was happening. I went in, lights were on, computers turned on but the place was empty. I waited about 15 mins and gave up and left. A couple of hours later I returned, there were people in the pool and a man in the gym but no staff anywhere. Clearly laid out on the desk and in full view were complete application forms, Names, DOB, address, bank details, phone numbers etc. This concerned me greatly. I wrote in the staff day book that I wished to be contacted. This was also just left laying, easily accessible. Again after about 15 mins I gave up and left. As I was driving out I saw a member of staff go in the door so I parked and went back in. I pointed out that personal data was left in clear view but was told it wasn't for long! How long does a crook need?
I said that I had received no information at all for over a year. My details were pulled up on the computer and as my e mail and phone number were incorrectly inputted it explained why I was not contacted. I was promised a call on the Monday. Still waiting, now 9th May.
On 6th May I received a very informal letter explaining the new fees. I was paying £360 as an annual fee for full access. This was no longer available and I now had to pay by direct debit at £48 per month. This is an increase of 60% per annum! The letter says I will have full access but the truth is that I have to book my sessions on a Friday for the week and it is first com first served. As I work it is difficult to contact Friday morning and the Covid regulations mean that it will be far from full access.
A huge rise in fees, less access and no adherence to the Data Protection Act. Is this representative of YouFit?

Discrimination from the gym manager
I have been a member of Youfit since 2009 or even before. Today my son and I were singled out from over 15 gym members that were not wearing their face coverings correctly. The manager Camillo came up to us over all the other members that were not wearing the masks correctly and asked us to leave the gym. I will be sending the corporate office a discrimination letter from my attorney tomorrow morning.

I opened my gym membership in the beginning of January before covid hit. they continued to charge my account even though they were not open. When I tried to cancel they wanted a $60 cancellation fee. I did not pay and they proceeded to charge my card a monthly fee plus annual fee total of 135 dollars. I cancelled my card. Now I have Sam from phone number [protected] calling and harassing me. She refused to give her last name or employee ID number. When I asked for her supervisor, she cursed at me and hung up. I called back several times with no success.
Desired outcome: I want my money back and this Sam lady disciplined for her rude and uncalled for behavior
Cancellation during covid
My daughter and I had a membership with Youfit which I understood was a month to month contract which meant if I did not pay you for 1 month you would cancel people don't keep charging a month to month contract if its not cancelled that is pure non-sense not only did you close all your gym during covid you continue to charge customers accounts going as far as charging the annual fee but left no customer service outlet we call and call with no answer when you finally open you wanted people to come to cancel not adjusting your cancellation policy to telephonic as every company in the world did to address the need of their customer during this pandemy instead you went ahead and hired a slew of untrained nasty kids to call and ask for settlement of balance due. We had our membership in Florida we moved to Georgia and kept calling you kept charging my account until I had to find resolution with the bank now not only are you harassing us you through phone calls you also doing it via email. You owe us for the months of non-service and the annual fee collected during that period I will personally initiate a class action suit against your company for aggravated harassment and breech of contract if you don't count your loss and let us be.

At the very beginning of the pandemic YOUFIT was closed. They didn't have anyone working to respond to any request in person, phone or email ... but this sure didn't stop them from charging everyone on a monthly basis! I had to cancel my card to stop them. What an inconvenience this caused me in many reasons.
After so many attempt to cancel, corporate office told me I need to pay the month of July and the cancellation fee. Monica in the corporate office wouldn't accept my cancelation if I do not pay them the fee.
Service fee and difficulty cancelling membership
I have been calling for months about cancelling my membership. I was informed that my account was frozen however, since the gym has been re-opened I have called to speak with the manager, who is conveniently in meetings (hull street road location). I called again last week and checked my account today and I was charged a monthly membership fee. I was also charged the yearly fee as well. Now, I am being told, that I have to go into the gym after all of this time and me calling and leaving numerous messages to cancel and that the payment they took for july might not be created even though they have documentation of me calling to cancel and request not being charged. The manager at this location to date, has not called me back. I had to go to another facility location to sign the cancellation documentation which they could have informed me last month to come in and do.
Unauthorized charges
I called YOUFIT last month to cancel my account. Location camelback 9675 W. Camel back Rd. Maryvale Phoenix AZ 85037. The guy told me that they were sorry I was still being charged a monthly fee because they were closed. He told me my account would freeze for 3 months to make up the money withdrawn.
There was no way of cancelling membership since it is only in person. Corporate office will not answer the phone. I was told today at the Bethany Home Rd location that Corporate will not take any phone calls.
Today I received a bank statement charging me 39.99 for maintenance fee. The gym has been closed and my account was frozen. Furthermore without notice I am now to go to a gym called CRUNCH that bought you fit out. Yet there are many other you fit locations open thru out the valley.
It is ridicules and sneaky that last month I wasn't told the gym would close. Instead I was told by the male how dissatisfied I was before wanting to cancel membership, dirty bathroom, pool was disgusting and equipment that didn't work. To which he assured me would be different now.
The real reason YOUFIT was waiting for this month to take out money that is not theirs where is my 3 months reimbursement? That is stealing from customers. I plan on contacting better business bureau as well.
My account number is [protected]. As this is the account mostly used to locate any account at you fit. I am requesting my 3 month refund of money taken out that I never used while gym closed my membership is 20.00 and maintenance fee 39.99.
CRUNCH informed me today I would begin paying 23.99 a month. I have cancelled with them before I lose any more money/. I think YOUFIT is deceitful and not a trusting company, they have no regard for customers struggling with COVID 19 at this time. I have read many law suits against them as well.

You fit continues to charge members even though clubs are closed. After investigating found this to be a national problem. I am not an attorney but this sounds nefarious to say the least. I've contacted the State of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to sort this out. I only did this after numerous E mails and internet complaint. Only response received was from a Terri T. who describes herself as a business manager, the Kelley Anne Conway of Youfit.

Annual fee
I became member last year and I was never informed that I would automatically be charged $ 42.00 every year for annual fee without my consent . I thought I would be advised before any withdraws from my account and was surprised when I saw the annual fee withdrawn from my account. I spoke with the receptionist and he said he couldn't do anything about it. He also said that if I want to leave the club membership I have to fill a form and pay $10.00. It's not fair I pay annual fee and pay more for leaving my membership. I want to join another company instead of Youfit because I disagree about paying annual fee.

On Thursday August 29th around 1:30pm to cancel my membership due to move to a different City. A gentleman told me that it won't be a problem I would just have to come in, or write a letter to some division. I told him that I'll be in town September 7 and I can do it then if that would be OK? On 9/7 @ 2:04pm I walked in to cancel knowing there was a $10. Cancellation fee, the young African American girl mentioned that I would also be charged additional $10.on the 10th. I asked her why, she mentioned that there should have been a 10 day cancellation prior to date of billing. I told her that I spoke to a gentleman on the phone on Thursday the 29th and why did you not mention this to me . She said she doesn't know why it was not mentioned to me, that unfortunately, thats what it's going to take place. I Asked if there's anything that can be done to waive that and she said no. I understand that there's nothing she could do so, I asked if there was someone else that I can speak with. She went to get Quincy the Manager. I don't know when is the next time I will be in NOLA, told him let's go ahead and cancel now & that I just wish the guy I spoke with on the 29th would have mentioned this. He apologize! I did asked Quincy for the girls name. He said he couldn't give it to me. I said I thought I saw name tags on everyone, could I not have her first name? He said no!

I inquired about a job opening I saw on indeed, just ask if they were still looking for someone, her comment, we are looking for someone qualifed! Really, I thought this very rude, I could have been a CEO of a company for all she knew! She could have replied in a nicer tone, or just said yes if you are interested send in a resume, that would have been sufficient on her part!

I called my local YouFit to cancel my membership [protected]) and was given the company process and procedure. I was disappointed to learn that I will still be charged on July 9, 2019 for my monthly membership of $21.99. Nowhere in the contract (agreement) does it state that you must cancel the membership within a specified window of time to not be billed or I would've cancelled sooner. If you take a look into my account you can see I haven't been to the gym in several months. If I am paying a cancellation fee then I am expecting to not be billed in July. Derrick at my local youfit tried to assist but also could not find where this information could be found. I am headed to the club to cancel my membership today and would like some feedback on this. I am a member with YouFit in Richmond Virginia, location Chippenham and Powhite, I have been a member for a while, all of a sudden I come to work out and the center is closed, tried to call other locations as well as customer service to see what is going on, no answer from anyone of the phone numbers I called. I am levit, they are still drafting my account for the membership fee and they are locked down, I need some answers, asap.
I am a member who pays a monthly membership and the location that I excise at in Richmond Virginia on Chippenham Parkway and Midlothian has not been open for business. If I can't exercise for the membership fee that they draft out of my account every month, then they need to void the payment and stop drafting it from my account. I have been going here for quite a while, and within the last week when I go, the building is closed and nobody is there, this is unacceptable, and they have not advised me of any type of closing of the facility.
