Monthly payment
I pay monthly for an Eos Membership roughly $27 a month for their black pass at 10160 W Lake Pleasant Pkwy Peoria, AZ. I recently looked at my charges and yesterday was a charged $52 with no explanation why, i check my app to see if payment went up but on the Eos app it says im regularly supposed to be paying $27 so why am i being charged a whole $25 extra with no explanation at all. I’d like to get this resolved because being charged money that i didn’t plan on spending screws with my financing and budgeting.

Charged for membership that "reactivated" itself
I had a gym membership "reactivated" June 13th 2023. This is 2.5 years after cancelling and moving to another state. Abc financial is unable to provide any reasoning or documentation showing why or how my account was reactivated. I was charged for 11 months before I caught it on my bank statement. Coincidentally, the membership was cancelled one day after I called the gym and notified them that I was still being charged, which is before they were able to get back to me.
Claimed loss: $1400
Desired outcome: Reimbursement

I had a gym membership "reactivated" years after cancelling. 3 years after moving to an entirely different state. They were unable to provide any documents to state why my account was reactivated. I was charged for 11 months before I caught it on my bank statement.

Anytime fitness and abc financial
I was never told by membership sales that the contract was AUTO RENEW. NEVER, was it pointed out to me or I warned. I called and canceled my membership in July 2023 because I noticed I was still being charged. I spoke with John. He never said anything about the auto renew the first time we spoke. But he did let me know I had to send a letter canceling, so...

Sales / software
Their sales team is deceptive, incompetent and unaware of their own softwares capabilities. The software is outdated, slow and doesn't have the basic capabilities needed to run a successful gym. They've double charged and overcharged over 100 of our members. They've forced us to purchase their antiquated hardware at steep markup. We've lost over 100 member...

I moved to a new state and "cancelled" my gym membership. After providing all my information to a representative on the phone she assured me that my account was going to be cancelled and my last payment would be for the month of July 2023.
Now I just got charged for the month of August. I tried to follow up in July to confirm my account was cancelled but got no response over email. This is set up like a scam and seems to be impossible to contact anyone who will actually do what they say.
Desired outcome: Please refund
Cannot cancel membership
I started my gym membership cancelation process on June 1, 2023 and 72 days later my credit card is still being charged. ABC Fitness has been dragging this process out and making it very difficult for me to cancel my membership.
I will definitely think twice before dealing with this company again in the future. Noone should have to deal with type of customer service or have to pay for a membership they cancelled months ago.
Anytime fitness billings mt
I requested to cancel my gym membership because I had to move out of state. I emailed Anytime Fitness my cancellation notice (ABC Fitness) weeks ago. They kept charging my card with no response. Eventually I just had to cancel my card. They are so predatory it’s sickening! I reported them to the Montana State’s Attorney’s office for contract abandonment. They finally responded yesterday with terms of cancellation that I was already provided. Nobody deserves to deal with companies like this. Absolute trash.
Desired outcome: To be treated like a customer.
Retro fitness membership
I have not been back to Retro Fitness since February of 2020. They have charged me for a membership ever since they resumed activity. I finally got tired of paying and tried to cancel. The operator says I can't cancel unless I go into the location and I don't live there anymore. So I finally get into town and try to cancel but the desk tells me have to pay the new back payments that resumed since I made the operator take my card out of their system. I was robbed for years. They've already stolen my money. This is criminal. Once Covid ended they should have asked permission to resume payments and if no one agreed cancel the memberships and start over. If a card isn't scanned for 3 months they should then cancel the membership but instead they just keep taking money. I just want them to cancel and stop sending me emails.
Desired outcome: I just want them to cancel and stop sending me emails. If that can't be done I'd like to file a lawsuit for refund of all payments taken without permission.
Edge fitness membership
I don’t really know where to begin? I moved out of state, sent them pictures of my ID and pictures of my college schedule. They still will not terminate my Edge Fitness Membership. I genuinely don’t know what else I can do. When I call it takes over 30 minutes to speak to a representative and they reassure me it will be canceled, then they email me back saying the ‘proof is not sufficient.’ I don’t know what else to do… this is the most unethical business practice I’ve ever seen in my life and I think it borders on illegal. I’ve put over 10 hours of my time trying to cancel this, sick and tired of it. If anyone reads this, do not get involved with this company in any way, shape, or form — they will scam you and sucker you out of money in any way they can.
Desired outcome: Cancel my membership, remove all future payments because of all this bs I’ve gone through. I know there’s a 30 day rule but I’ve been trying to cancel for over 30 days so… just cancel my account.
Gold Gym Cerritos
A pre-sale offer of $0 down + first month free and last month payment of $26.90 was taken up with Gold Gym Cerritos on October 26 2022.
As the pre sale promise of personal trainer offer was not met, an email / written form was submitted to Gold Gym Cerritos before the opening of the Gym. Since last month fee was already paid, I was told the membership is cancelled before starting itself.
There was no billing in December 2022. From January 2023 erratic billing’s started with no explanation whatsoever. Finally on Feb 03 2023, I again wrote to Golds Gym requesting to honor the earlier made cancellation request adding a new cancellation request. From Feb 3 to Feb 15 all my emails were ignored by the Gym. Finally a call to ABC financial services to cancel was honored on a recorded line.
Now a $26.90 month to month membership has amounted to $162.20 in two months and they are waiting for the charges to become big enough to go to collections.
Pls help
Desired outcome: Cancel the membership with no charges. $26.90 was already paid towards last month fee.
They refuse to cancel my account.
They have been fraudulently charging my account and refuse to cancel my account. Aggressively months after months.. saying I have to pay something I never used in a while. They charged for yrs for my daughter's account that I walked in and cancelled in person after while working at the same xperience fitness gym in Blaine. They wouldn't ask it so I took it up with my bank. It's insane. They never made me aware of this agreed gym policy. A 30 day written notice not over the phone or in person when the employee allowed me to cancel the policy in person.
This is ridiculous. I have mutiple accounts set up with abc finicial...xperience fitness, planet fitness, crunch fitness.
Desired outcome: I want my account cancelled. You guys are thugs and put all these clause to try and squeeze as many pennies as you can... I've never seen such and agressive, thuggish institution.

Invalid Charges (no contract buyout option given)
May 2022 I paid the $1 intro fee for Club 4. I never returned and was not aware the membership went beyond that initial month. Eventually, (June 6th)I learned I had to contact ABC financial who would not process my cancellation until July 15th resulting in more charges. I never returned to the gym due to a system issue on their end, I never received an access card or ability to even enter the facility. I could not use the service. I have no documented check ins throughout my entire “membership” I was not aware was still going on until June. I would not have a problem buying out the contract or paying a portion despite not being able to even access the gym. I attempted to access the services and the staff could not fix the issue so I never went back. Contacted ABC financial and attempted to buyout the contract and they would not help with that. My main issues are the late cancellation (I cancelled in early June), lack of access to the facility (resulting in no documented checkins) and the inability to just buyout the contract. Agreement number [protected]
Desired outcome: Contract buyout

Xperience fitness in blaine stole my money by not canceling my daughters account, fraud
I personally went into experience fitness and cancel my daughter's membership in September after working for xperience for 2 weeks, which I never got paid for.. but they have been charging me this entire time.
I went into experience fitness in blaine, which is now closed due to bankruptcy and I just started my job there but I was about to get a workout in. I walked up to the front desk and asked to get my daughter membership canceled. The guy working said ok, cancel and said I was good to go. I went about my work out. This was end of September, being of Octobe of 2021. I look at my bank account and see double charges for Xperience.. so I called and I'm like why is there two charges.. they said it's my daughter's account. I said I've cancelled it a while ago. I haven't used it for more then 2 times when I got the membership. Give me my money. They said they need proof of cancellation. I said I never recieved a confirmation email of cancellation but I can go to the guy and point out the worker, if he still works there. They said what's his name. I said I never got it but I know what he looks like. Turns out the gym closed down in April of 2022 for poor sales.. like no [censored]. It's terrible.
Poor customer service and poor management. That's why I quit. Saw it going down hill the moment I started working. I just want my daughters money back. Her account number is [protected].
Any check ins for her.. was because I was using her key card to get into the building. You will not find her in any of the daycare... login in. Because she never went between August 2021-June 2022, never aligned with my work schedule.
So there's
10/11 16.06
11/11 16.06
12/11 16.06
1/11 16.06
2/11 16.06
3/11 16.06
4/11 21.42
5/11 21.42
So 8 payments
I was given a Verbel agreement when he told me, my daughters account was canceled. My manager at the time went by Ben, African American man
Desired outcome: I want a refund from October 2021- June 2022. All of it. I talked to my bank ..if my bank doesn't handle it. I'm getting in contact with my lawyer.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Charges after an account was closed.
In Nov/Dec, 2020, I walked into the gym and gave notice to terminate my contract at the gym(Anytime Fitness), which gave them a 60 day notice.
I received a final receipt showing January 6th, 2022 as the final day, with a final balance of $32.09.
When January 6th, 2022 arrived, I was erroneously billed $64.18, twice the amount due.
I called and got nowhere with "Member Services", so I contacted my bank, showed them the receipt I had, and the over-payment of $32.09 returned.
February, 2022, they again attempted to charge me again, $64.18, but only got $32.09.
They took $32.09 fraudulently, and when contacted, refuse to give basic details; including refusal to Identify corporate location or any managers I've talk too or those supposedly calling me back.
I've canceled my bank card to protect myself from further unauthorized debits from my bank.
Desired outcome: Refund of over-payment

Anytime Fitness Lantana, TX Cancellation
On May 21, 2021 (after my initial 18 month membership was complete) I contacted my gym via text that I needed to cancel my membership. I texted them as that is the only way they ever communicated with me with the exception of an email with the contract in it when first signing up.
After not hearing a response, I contacted them again on 6/2/2021.
Still nothing, so I contacted again on 6/22/2021 and noted that I'm still being charged monthly.
On August 30, 2021 I finally got around to calling the gym to see what's up. They told me all contracts are handled by the billing company and I can only cancel through them.
I called immediately that day and told them I wanted to cancel. The conversation then went to that there is a 30 day period and I'd be charged one more month (now another month on top of the extra two months I've been charged). I asked if it could be waived seeing as I did try to cancel and they said no. I then said I'd take care of it with my gym then about the waiver. But, as far as I was concerned I had completed my cancellation, and was relegated to the fact that it wasn't worth my time to pursue another $44.
I noticed another charge come in September, 2021 which I knew what it was for. Then in October, 2021 I saw another charge, but couldn't remember if that was the final month and I was busy so never pursued. Then another in November, 2021.
Now I decided to pursue this and filed chargebacks with my credit card company for now December and November.
I then received an email from ABC financial stating that my membership was behind and needed to pay. I called them and explained to them what was going on. They are trying to tell me that when I called to cancel, that I really didn't cancel (or that was their understanding?). I said that's a bunch of crazy and went over all my texts, calls, etc. How would a sane person think that I didn't want to cancel when I called in to cancel in the first place?
Anyway, I emailed them a bunch of times even asking for supervisor to no avail, and am now here. Next will be Consumer Affairs, TX AG, and BBB.
The way they handle complaints on the other sites is to please call them - which is circular.
Desired outcome: Accept cancellation and I won't chargeback October, 2021 charges.

Debt
I started my membership at Planet Fitness in the summer of 2021, finally school came and was ready to cancel my membership. I have tried numerous times to cancel my membership via several methods but your system refused me and makes it nearly impossible to cancel. I even stopped using the debit card that was used for the membership but you continued to...

I cancelled my gym membership from Anytime Fitness Colorado Springs 2 months ago and am still being charged the membership fee. I called the gym directly and the manager/owner informed me that I was no longer in his system and he gave me the customer service for ABC to call. When I called, customer service stated that they had no indication that I had cancelled and told me to mail a request. At this point I don't even care about getting a refund, I just want it cancelled before it pulls from my account again. There has to be an easier way.
Desired outcome: Cancel my account

Scam Artists
Before moving 1500 miles away I stopped into my gym to pay off my membership and ends my auto renewal. I was told to wait and see if my new area had any gyms and that if I did, I could cancel my membership there if I wanted, and if not - I could call back to my gym and they can cancel for me then. Instead.. The new local gym said they couldn't help me with account issues and my formerly local gym ignored my call back requests and emails for 2 years! Complete radio silence. Now that my card was canceled due to unrelated fraud, I'm the best friend of ABC financial getting a call everyday. Glad everyone learned to use the phone once the money dried up

Boxing gym membership
We signed our son up for boxing lessons, on a "month to month" plan. We did not commit to anything long term. Our son soon lost interest, we have tried to cancel our business. The boxing club was no help, only referred us to ABCfinancial, claiming that they "handle all of that". We called customer service to cancel, first the lady told us we weren't a member then we finally figured out they had it in our sons name. All to be told we have to send a cancellation request in writing before we can "cancel" so we are being charged for services we do not use until we hear back via mail? We have no idea? It's a rip off!

Golds gym membership
ABC financial charged me my monthly Golds Gym Membership fee for April and May of 2020 when the gym was closed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. I am refusing to pay these charges and I canceled with them via phone in May. My contract with them was up in 2019 and I never signed another so I am also not locked into payments with them. It's unethical to charge someone when a gym is closed for a pandemic.
