Capitalism
I have never experienced a job like this makes you feel like your never doing anything right, never praises you for improvements only if you get 100 on your QA score do they recognize you. And you better keep it up because the praise is vey short lived. This a a very cliquish job and they really don't like new people trying to get to know them. If you do make friends it will be with the people you started with but most do go there separate ways once there on the floor. Mostly they are just trying to hold on to there jobs because once you on the floor the employee emprowement is over and they let you know in a Heart beat you can and will be replaced. They appear to be a quality company and that you should be honored to work there but truth be told they are a very shady company practicing capitalism at its finest. The turnover rate is insane and they will hire anyone. They don't drug test and it shows, by the type of questionables that work there.

Scummy business practices, attempted monetary theft, illegal and false debt collection
I paid first and last month, no contract, no recurring payments. This was made very clear when i signed up with vision quest.
Thus, i am paid through april 16. However, on march 1, i began receiving daily calls from abc financial talking about my gym membership. I never answered the call even once, but they continue calling every day. I used call blockers and blocked their number, but they somehow called my home phone *and* my skype phone *and* my google voice number!
So even though i am current with my payment and not supposed to have recurring payments, (I paid with cash) , vision quest still attempted to charge my canceled credit card on march 1, and when it did not go through (Because of course it is canceled and i am current with payments) , they **immediately** sent me to collections with abc collections! Even though i don't even owe any money!
This is complete bull ###, and vision quest fitness is a really ###ing scummy company for pulling this bull ###! Good thing i gave them my canceled card number! Otherwise they would be robbing me left and right!
Vision quest fitness is a bunch of scam ###s! I told them, if i get one more call from the abc company that i will cancel the membership for good and go with another gym.
I PAID FIRST AND LAST MONTH, NO CONTRACT, NO RECURRING PAYMENTS. THIS WAS MADE VERY CLEAR WHEN I SIGNED UP WITH VISION QUEST.

Scam
I moved over 300 miles away from my gym. They told me they cancelled my account and I was fine. $120 in charges showed up on my card down the road, and I'm due for $40 more before my official cancellation letter goes through. I moved into my sister's house because I developed an auto immune disease and can't work or even really get out of bed and eat food...

I started a gym member ship in the middle of 2012. In december I called the gym to cxl it. I was told in my contract that I could cxl with a 60 day notice. ABC disputed that information and the person that I spoke to was very rude. I told them to cxl THEN I called my bank and reported my debit card stolen so they would issue me a new one with a different number. Now 4 months later I just got hit with a $250 debit card transaction from ABC. I called my bank and they are confused as how ABC was able to make a debit card transaction with MY NEW NUMBER. I have never given them my new number. I have since closed my acct with my bank and opened a new one. I have also cxl my debit card. When I called ABC they told me that they had every right to debit my card b/c of the contract that I signed. Apparently they have NO record of my call to them asking to have my contract cxl back in December. My bank is going to refund me my money but I will telling everyone NOT to use that gym. I live in a small town and word will spread like wild fire that this company will screw them out of what little moeny they have. Ppl will steer clear!

Non-cancellation
After telling ABC financial that my fitness contract is expired, it is NOT an Auto Renew account, and countless phone calls to both ABC Financial and Endurance Fitness center, They are still trying to bill me for the membership.
They refuse to stop regardless of the contract details.
Yeah, someone called me... pretended to talk to the owner. Said they would fix it... then continued to send me a bill anyways.
The member number is 39896. North muskegon MI club. Nellie Tobey. And since the club is closing, maybe they should stop signing people up for contracts huh? My contract exhausted in January 2013. thanks.

You mean to tell me you haven't looked at your credit card and bank acct activity in how long? I got news for ya...how do I put this...kiss that money goodbye. P.S. Don't bother with an attorney. You'll have no way of proving anything. That's the way these shysters work. Read my previous post above.
I had called abc financial years ago after noticing debits from them on my checking statements. I assumed it was taken care of. Recently I was reviewing credit card and bank statements when I noticed charges on both. One is from the gym my husband belongs to now, and for many years after quitting Ultimate Fitness membership. I can't believe I didn't catch this years ago but thought one had replaced the other. Anyway this means abc financial actually owes me thousands of dollars for continuing to charge me. We have been paying $408 per year ($34 per month) for at least 5 years if not 6-7. What is the chances of getting that reimburst? That would be a minimum of $2, 040!
Does it take an attorney to fight this for us?
Darin and Lynn Surr (lynnsurr@hotmail.com)
Those shysters will continue to do so until you close that accout - the number to which you should have never given them. Never ever join a gym which wants your account number. Tell them forget it! This is a scam that many if not most gyms are using. And by the way, don't be suprised if they report you to the credit bureau - another way they shake money out of people. These gyms are nothing more than a mafia front. Stay away!
Impossible
We have been trying to cancel a gold's gym membership for months and even sent the required 60 day notice letter by certified mail. They continue to do so. They do not listen and continue to give us a runaround. Very bad business ethics! Fair warning - stay away from any business that uses these folks which appears to be health and fitness clubs.

Can't cancel membership
It is absolutely impossible to cancel your membership, even after your contract is up. They keep charging you and when you call, all you get is the run around. I will never use a gym that uses ABC FINANCIAL ever again!

Cancelling membership issues
I never saw such a difficulties to cancel a membership from a company, they will evade you and do anything in they power to keep you from quick your contract in a easy way in order to keep charging a fee even after the contract is expired. Please read the "small letter" on the contract because if you want to ever quick, it is the most difficult thing to do. The customer service is REALLY BAD, I called six months ago and I was told that my contract was cancelled but they are still charging the fee to my account.
It is incredible that I got and answer for this media faster than returning the message I left three days ago. The only thing I want is to terminate my contract..
Yes I admit it!...But the thing is that it looks like the process to cancel the contract was designed to delay and confuse customers in order to keep charging the fee...I did all that the contract said in the "small letters" and still I am not out of it. The point is not "my ignorance", is the fact that ABC Financial have the most difficult process to terminate a contract I ever seem.
Now I got a phone number when I suppose to call and let a message, the answer machine said that need to wait "two" business days.. Three have past so far...
Credit card overcharge
When I signed up with Retro Fitness with my credit card, I was assured that there would be no monthly automatic draw on my credit card. I could pay only for the time I wanted. Sure enough, when I needed to take a break from membership, my credit card was drawn upon automatically. I put a permanent hold on them with my credit card company and went to that gym to complain. I had to explicitly say that I was cancelling my membership. Since then, they've passed the last monthly charge to their collection agency, ABC Financial. Now, they've added a late fee because I've refused to pay this swindle. Stay away from Retro Fitness!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Stay the he! away from any fitness center that requires a credit card or any other account information. They all do this stuff! If they require a credit card or account number to join, case closed, say "no thank you" and walk.
Won't cancel membership
I was told when I started my membership at 24-7 Fitness Workout Anytime Gym in Hixson, Tennessee that the only thing that I had to pay was a monthly fee and that I could cancel at any time. After a year or so of joining, I noticed on my bank statement that I was charged fee of $48.07. I called ABC Financial about the fee and they told me it was a YEARLY fee on top of the monthly fee of $16.00. I made the call on July 10, 2012. At that time, I told them to cancel my membership. They told me nothing else would be taken from my account. In August, they took another fee out of my account. I called ABC Financial AGAIN and I cancelled my check card so they could not draft my account. They told me to send a letter to them. I told them at that time that I had FAXED a letter to them on July 11th and have a confirmation that the fax was received. They said they didn't receive it. I have confirmation. I received a letter from them last week (Sept. 18th) stating that I owe them a fee for September. I called them SIX times today because they kept putting me on hold and didn't come back to the phone! THIS COMPANY IS CROOKED! DO NOT EVER JOIN A GYM THAT USES ABC FINANCIAL OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT USES THEM FOR A PAYMENT AGENCY!
I started a membership with 24-7 Workout Anytime Gym in Hixson, Tennessee last year. In July of this year, I noticed a 48.00 fee on my bank statement from ABC Financial. The normal fee is 16.00 per month. I called ABC Financial and was told this was a YEARLY fee. When I started my membership, I was told I would only be charged a monthly fee and that I could cancel anytime. When I was charged the 48.00 fee in July, I called ABC Financial and told them to cancel my membership. They told me that nothing else would be taken from my account. In August, they charged another monthly fee of 16.00. I called ABC Financial AGAIN to talk to them about the fee since I cancelled the prior month. They told me I had to send a letter to cancel. I FAXED a letter to ABC Financial and have a confirmation that it was received by them. I also cancelled my bank card so they could not take another fee. They DID NOT reimburse the fee that was taken in August. Last week I received a letter from ABC Financial stating that I owed them another fee for September. I CANCELLED IN JULY! THEY CONTINUE TO BILL ME AND HAVE NOT GIVEN ME MY MONEY BACK! THEM IN ANY WAY! I am going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.

Never join any of these gyms unless they allow a cash as you go basis (which none of them do of course). They will bill you unitl that account is closed, or the credit card expires or that card account is closed. Or until you die, whichever comes last. And the slimes will deny that fact if you ask them at the time you are idiotic enough to ever join one of these outfits. They operate on the premise that mostly 20-somethings join and that age group is not known for having developed the habit of watching where money goes - especially with credit cards.
There is evidence that they are all owned by the same mob whcih means they can afford real good lawyers and can buck any charge of impropriety.. Sounds like you will have to close that account.

Abc financial is absolutely the worse company to deal with or work for. There goal is to beat people out of their money. I quit that job after a month. While i was there i cancelled memberships when customers called and requested to have service cancelled and the company threatned to fire me so i quit. They make you work extra long hours and pay you a salary of 9. 50 per hour to sit on the phone all day and take complaints from members that shld be upset then they make you stay past your required work time if the call volume spikes with no advance notice. . . Tht job is very stressful and tht place shld be shut down. Ive sent multiple complaints. Whn you call and ask for thier address they always give you po box 6800 sherwood, ar 72124 but they never seem to give you the correct address which is 8320 highway 107 sherwood, ar 72120 i say we show up in front of the building and go on strike until tht piece of sht is shut down completely. . . In the meantime continue to complain to your local gyms that will also make club owners think twice abt doing business with a horrible company such as this one

Membership cancellation
It's real simple: The company won't allow me to cancel my membership. And they continue to charge me each month and threaten to send this to a collections agency. I had my son in a Karate studio that you HAD to go through ABC billing to make your payments in order to stay in the classes. When we went to cancel our sons membership we gave notice to the karate instructor and was advised us to call ABC as well to let them know, after doing so we were hit with another months fee. When we called back we spoke to a very rude customer service rep named Sherry. She informed us we would need to send a written request and gave us an e-mail address to send it to. We did as she requested and 6 months later we are now being contacted by a lawyer who states we owe 270.00. I called and tried to dispute this letting him know we had sent an e-mail and had all our records. Though the entire call he continued to yell at me, refusing to listen to anything I had to say and at one point told me" This is what he has done for the last 13 years and he would let me know if I had a dispute". When I asked him if he was going to listen to anything I had to say he replied "everything you are saying is nonsense and that is why you are in the situation you are in" Are you kidding me who is this guy? After asking him several times to lower his voice and not to be so hostile or I would not continue the conversation he hung up on me. I was at my work place and had him on speaker so my co worker could hear how he was talking to me. NO ONE has the right to call and speak to you this way and I will fight this to the end! This guy was rude unprofessional and if he is a lawyer like he claims should be disbarred. I have also filed with the BBB and have called the Karate instructor to let him know what kind of company he has handling his clients. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING THAT HAS ABC ON IT YOU WILL BE LEFT HOLDLING A BILL LONG AFTER YOU CANCEL! CHECK THE REVIEWS THIS COMPANY IS SHADY AND WILL SCREW YOU OUT OF WHAT EVER THEY CAN!

I have tried to cancel my membership with no luck after 6 tries. They say to e mail them but the web never goes to site where you can cancel. Customer service always refers to the site and will not help. What a rip off.
I am a customer too fro achieve fitness, Abc charge me 9.50 in a late payment but then 19.00 dollars for a service charge ?which I do not know what service they are talking about. knowing that my account did not have money they process other payment of 21.39 dollars The y did not call me at all anytime that disgust me soo much that I am going to cancel my membership with the gym because in 1 month I just pay 88 and the whole year membership is only 213 Can u imagine how mad and sad I am and the reason why my account did not have the money is because I had and accident and my worker compensation did not went in on time after a month I just got the payment and as soon I got it they charge me the 88 dollars never renewing contract with this gym

Im canceling my membership because i work to many hours to attend.
Fraud
I received a bill in the mail from ABC Financial for membership dues and thought it was a mistake. I then received a telephone call from them and they told me they had bought my membership from Bally’s Total Fitness. On 3/16 I called to cancel my membership with Bally’s. They told me they would cancel my membership and stop drafting my checking account but they needed one last payment of $32.46. I gave them my payment and received a receipt in the form of an email. I received another email titled 'Updated Electronic Payment Plan Information'. Had Bally’s continued to draft my account for April and/or May it would have been an indication to me they had not canceled my membership. ABC Financial told me as of June 1st my membership was purchased and transferred to them and unless I had something in writing that I canceled my membership with Bally's they would continue to charge me. Otherwise ABC says they will cancel it but they will still charge me for the membership services. I canceled my membership and did not sign up or agree to transfer my membership from Bally's to ABC.
Canceling
I wanted to cancel my membership and auto deduction with WOW and ABC Financial. Called ABC Financial and explained that my Health Plan would pay for my gym membership, but WOW was not included. The customer service rep said she would note all this on my account and all that I had to do was send them an email saying that I wanted to cancel. I did that and thought that was the end of it. They charged my account in February as they said they would because of the timing. They charged my account in March also and when I noticed it I called them back. I was told that they never received my email and there were no notes on my account about canceling. Again they told me to send them an email which I did, as well as a registered letter. So now they tell me that they will charge my account again in April because I did not give them 30 days notice and the charge will be $24.95, more than they had been charging me ($19.95/mo). My next action, after this complaint, will be to file one with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's Office here in Massachusetts. If you are joining a health club make sure that they do not use ABC Financial.
Another chapter has been added to my problems with ABC Financial. I got an email from ABC saying that, because I was canceling my EFT, my new payment that they were going to deduct was now $24.99. My new payment for what? I canceled my membership at WOW back in February and so far because of ABC's deceptive and possibly fraudulent business practices, I will have paid so far 3 months dues for a gym that I do not belong to. My next step is to file a complaint with the state Attorney General's Office and with my lawyer.

I agree! I am in the same situation they wont let me out! I contacted them to let them know i wanted to cancel and they agreed but a month after i see that they still charging me! I been fighting with them for over 6 months, trying to get out and now they want me to pay those 6 months or they sending my account to collections! What kind of bs is this if i had already cancelled, they are trying to get me to paid or they will ruin my credit and they will never let me go. I will be contacting a lawyer. If anybody else wants to join me email me at smlhxoxoo@gmail.com
I will not let this crooks keep taking my money or any other hard working american!
I'm trying to cancel a membership that I have only had for a month. Technically two weeks because I had to pack up and move to another town due to losing my job. I joined Blast Fitness on february 4, 2013 and found out a week later that my I was let go from my job.
In all the hurry to pack and get out of my apartment I simply emailed Blast. They got back to me a week later and said contact ABC Financial via email. So I did and ABC had already charged me $20 for February plus $22 for whatever...not sure what. Now they are saying I owe them $54.11 for canceling!
How does that even sound ethical? I wasn't even there for a month! Now they say I need to give them the $54 or they will keep charging me.
I deleted my bank account but I'm terrified to call and give these people a credit card or my new bank info in order to just pay them off And get them out of my life! I'm afraid they will come up with some fraudulent reason to steal from my new account! How sad is that? One month ...less really considering I spent the last two weeks of february packing and moving yet I've ready given them around 44.00 bucks and they want another $54!
Thieves!
Membership cancellation
My husband and I cancelled our membership in December 2011. I got a call yesterday that my account is going to be sent to collections because of lack of payment. She asked if...

I signed up for a 3 month membership at Gold's Gym, which I assumed was going to expire after 3 months. Long story short, ABC Financial Services continued to take auto payments on my credit card, despite written letters. When I finally cancelled my credit cardto stop the withdraws, and stopped taking their repeated phone calls, they sent my account to collections. I paid the exhorbitant fees today to the debt collector, so that my credit rating will not be affected. I have asked for a refund.

Fraudulant unauthorized renewal
I signed my son up for what I was told was a six month term of classes at Revolution MMA in Benton, AR in April of 2011.
I was never told that I was joining a "membership" or anything with regard a cancellation policy:. I was never provided with copies of the paperwork that I signed:.
My son attended classes until August of 2011 when my mother in law had a stroke and our caregiving duties made it impossible for my son to continue taking classes'. We agreed to continue paying through October 2011, because we felt that it was only fair, considering that we had signed an agreement for the six month term, . Furthermore, my son was scheduled for surgery in October 2011, & would not be able to continue training until January 2012".
So, we had already paid for TWO MONTHS of training that our son NEVER RECEIVED;. I advised Revolution MMA REPEATEDLY that we would not be returning to the gym, or signing a new agreement until January 2012. I spoke to a Revolution MMA representative in October who confirmed that I was "all paid up" & explained to him that we would be returning in January to sign a new agreement and continue training, which he agreed with.
Imagine my shock and surprise to find that I was charged again in NOVEMBER 2011. When I contacted Revolution MMA, I was told that, despite the fact that I had, on at least 5 different occassions, advised them of our intent NOT to return to the gym until January 2012, and the fact that they KNEW that our son had not been to class since AUGUST 2012, they "renewed" our membership without our consent because we did not provide them with WRITTEN NOTICE that we didn't want to renew.
Had I had a copy of the paperwork, or had anyone advised me at any point during any of the 5+ conversations that I had with them about our intent to discontinue classes from August 2011 until January 2012 that a Written Notice was necessary, I would have certainly provided it in a timely fashion in order to avoid paying for an additional 3 months of classes that we would not be getting.
I requested a copy of the paperwork that I originaly signed proving that I agreed to an "automatic renewal" after the initial 6 month period. Revolution MMA refused and informed me that I must deal directly with ABC Financial. This was the first time that I had even heard of this company. I contacted ABC Financial, explained the situation to them, advised them that I wanted to see a copy of my contract. They never sent one, but they DID forward my account to a collection agency who outsources their calling center to India or something, because I can barely understand what they are saying when they call.
BOTTOM LINE: AVOID REVOLUTION MMA AT ALL COSTS, & ANY GYM ASSOCIATED WITH ABC FINANCIAL
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
I have the same problem. Haven't been to that damn gym in over 5 months and they keep trying to get my money after I told them I could only do it 6 months bc I was gonna deploy to afganistan. Told them I wanted to get in shape and therefore I could only do it 6 months. Told them like 3 separate times and ###s "renewd my contract" without me knowing and so I'm $600 short and they still want more.
ABC financial has a bad reputation, but most of the companies that act as third-party payment representatives have a bad rep. When you complain to the original company providing services you get too much attitude and alot of nonsense about reading your contract thoroughly. It's not the martial arts contract, it's the payment fine print that has the issue.
If Revolution MMA knows customers will soon have a problem with ABC Financial, why not just find another company? Or better yet, accept payments at your location.
Dishonest business practices
My husband and I had started working out at Anytime Fitness right after the New Year. Not long after, we found out the jobs we applied for in Taiwan came through. When I went to try and cancel my membership, they told me I needed proof that I was moving-no problem right? So I sent in my ARC (green card), my one-way ticket, and my lease agreement. (I only needed two of the three at most) It took them a week to respond to me telling me my lease agreement wasn't "clear" enough looking. I called and asked them why the other two forms of proof weren't enough-and they said they didn't have them. I checked my sent mail and saw all three had been sent. So I went back and resent a "clearer" copy of my lease agreement and called them again (With Anytime Fitness/ABC financial, you get charged your next month's dues and their stalling tactics were bringing me dangerously close to having to pay two additional months fees) They said that it could take them up to five business days to complete this-which would be two weeks after my additional e-mail. I also asked them at one point, why my ARC wasn't good enough and they told me that "because my ARC wasn't in English they couldn't understand it and it didn't count". I may be naive, but I thought the point of a green card was that it was generally written in the language of the country you got it from? Now I am left with re-emailing all of the information they lost again and will potentially have to pay two months of fees for a process that was started weeks ago. I am extremely displeased with my experience with ABC Financial and Anytime Fitness and strongly urge everyone to NEVER go there.
Yes, I am. After numerous calls to complain to the company, I finally got them to cancel my membership. Now lets just hope the charges stop or I will be back on here and have their number on speed dial again.
My husband and I are moving to Taiwan. So our green card (Alien Resident Card as they call it there) is in Chinese. Because Taiwan is the country issuing it, it is the langauge of the country. We no longer live in the U.S. starting March 15.

Fraudulent charges
I cancelled an account 2 years prior to this company reinstating it without consent/authorization. They then proceeded to make fraudulent charges to my credit card that had been inactive for over a year. I found out about it when my mortgage company was surprised to see a delinquency on my otherwise good credit. This company admitted the mistake was their own, but did nothing to help me rectify the situation with my credit card or the credit bureaus. DO NOT do business with ABC Financial - EVER!

This is paperwork I'm sending for my wife and myself to cancellation of gym usage which we have not use since we got your services. I've had a knee replacement and had to go overseas for government duty. Thank you for your service.
