On June 5th, 2024 at 9pm CST my Activision account that I use to play all of the Call of Duty games was suspended and banned without warning or explanation. I play the games on a Playstation 5 console only. I have never played on anything but Playstation. I play everyday and it is my favorite hobby. I play fair and compete against other players on Personal Computers that are actively using cheat software to gain advantages, but I do not have access to any cheat software, nor would I use it if I did. I love the game and respect the integrity. I believe in fair play, so when I received the ban, I immediately appealed it and pled my case. Activision responded with a generic email a few hours later saying their security team confirmed that my account had used unauthorized software and manipulated game data. There is no possible way for my to do that, nor to I understand how. I work in sales, and have no clue how to code or used external software on a PS5. I am innocent of these charges, and I have filed multiple complaints for the lack of help Activision has offered. My last hope is that they review my account and if there was unauthorized activity that led to this they can see that someone has hacked into my account and I am cleared. I believe this is a huge issue and have since joined thousands of others who have been hit with the same permanent account ban for the same thing and all of them were console players with no access to alter the game or cheat. Activision is a company worth billions and they somehow are letting their faithful playerbase suffer. There must be a way to see that I am not guilty of any of the accused infractions, and I deserve my account back. Please.
