Spa cover/ costumer service
Ordered a spa cover in November 2021 and the shipping time was 12 to 16 weeks. I waited till the 16 weeks was up and never heard anything. Contacted the company and was told it would be done in July. I had asked as to why I wasn't notified and they told me they are short staffed. I called back as if I was ordering as a new costumer and was told I would get my spa cover in 12 to 16 weeks, but if I paid the extra for express shipping I would get it sooner. I then told them I had ordered a spa cover in November and why and I being told July if I ordered one now it would be sooner. The answer I got well maybe I will get it sooner than July. Come May I called to check my order status because my cover is starting to hold water and I was told my cover wouldn't be ready until September. I then decided it was best to cancel my order and take my chances that if I order somewhere else I would get it sooner or atleast I would get one before this awful communication of a company did.

I ordered in Nov 30 and and was told 16 weeks behind and not it is 16weeks and they are saying July another 16weeks, but they charged the credit card right away. I am feeling like this is a scam. they continue to just say 16 weeks delay but it is way past that.
Desired outcome: Please Refund my credit card.
Hot tub cover never received
I ordered a spa cover back in May of 2021 and they keep giving me the run around saying that they are short on help now it is no foam. Now they are saying April of 2022. I have ask for a refund and they said they would refund my money but after a month I still haven't gotten my money I keep sending them messages asking for my refund now they won't respond. I have called the company and the girl said she can't do anything. You can't get ahold of a manager to talk to they are scamming people and getting away with it.
Desired outcome: I want my refund of 350.00
I still have no product!
They sent an email to me saying I needed to upgrade, so I did. We even paid the expedited shipping to get it faster, but it never came! Emails from the company are basically saying that even though we paid extra to them for the fastest delivery, we wont get it by that time, thus they are breaking their contract with us, I'm surprised this company is still in business because it's definitely a scam! Soon there will be a petition out for those that haven't received their items and they'll get a huge lawsuit if they don't get to doing their job.
This is a classic bait and switch scheme, why have they not been prosecuted?
You cannot get a Cover from them in 5-8 weeks as stated on the web site, they are 3-5 months out to deliver one to you. IF you pay the Expedite fee, then you MIGHT get it in 2-3 months! if you bail out, they hit you with a $150 fee. Take a look back at ALL Complaints on google and BBB, they ALL SUCK for this company, they have been giving the SAME excuses since last June! They have not source another supplier for their Foam shortage? they cannot hire more people to catch up?, they are in FL, the never shut all the way down! they just want the fees! BUYER BEWARE, this company and its owner are just BAD To the Bone!
If anyone knows the DA in Clearwater FL, this is a SLAM DUNK CASE to prosecute them!

I live locally. I have contacted the DA but they say it is a civil case and they won't touch it. I guess there either isn't enough money in it or the guy contributed to the DA's campaign. I say campaign contribution because the guy lives in a nice high end neighborhood in Seminole.

**WARNING** This is a shady/scam company! Went online on a Saturday and placed an order for a spa cover. Called on Monday to get a timeline, was told it would be 20-24 weeks! I clarified that it would be 4-5 MONTHS. I asked to cancel my order and was told I would get a confirmation cancellation email. By Weds, I still hadn't received an email, they asked me to send them an email to cancel. I sent an email the same day, two weeks later I received a confirmation email and was told I was being charged $150 cancellation fee because the order wasn't cancelled with 24 hours. A month and a half later, I still hadn't received any credit. Have now had to spend weeks disputing the charge with my credit card company and going through the process. Ordered another cover through The Spa Guy, was a little more than the cost of the original one BUT have excellent communication with them with updates as to when my order is coming. **DON'T GET SCAMMED, order from someone else.**

Ordered spa cover in January, finally spoke to a rep. and said it won't be here until June
I ordered a simple standard square spa cover and spa cover/cover back in January, expecting to get my products within a few weeks. Every time I checked the status it showed pending, however my credit card payment was taken on the dates of ordering in Jan. 2020. After numerous times of calling and immediately being putting on hold until the connection was lost and call dropped, I did get to speak to a representative on March 5. She said they are on an 18-20 week delay due to the pandemic. Their website proudly advertises, 'We are OPEN' making and shipping daily. There was nothing during my order process that said I would have to wait half a year, 6 months to receive my order. I told her this seemed like a scam and I would like a refund so that I can order elsewhere and have my items within weeks, not months. She said I could do that, but they would keep a $150 fee for my cancellation. I mentioned they have not even started on my order and that I should get a full refund. I really need my spa cover, like last month, but I refuse to give them $150 because they are not running a customer service based business. I would like support in this. IF I know that I can cancel and get a full refund, I will order somewhere else. Please advise if you can help me out.

This company is one of the worst business I have dealt with. They promise a reasonable delivery time when you place an order which is then pushed out by many months. When cancelling, they keep $150 which is probably what they would make in profit if they made the cover. Stay away!
Failed to Receive Order
Oct 7th, 2020 an order was placed. Reached out again Nov 18th because I received no order tracking. Was told it was delayed between Jan 6-20th. Still no product or update from company. Phone lines are pretty much unanswered. Emailed again on Jan 21. They didn't respond till today, after I called the "Sales" line multiple times. After I emailed the cancelled notice they responded to that email from thursday projecting a completion date to "first week of March." I paid $439. Since I trusted the company to do the right thing and deliver a product they delayed, the bank can not refund past 60 days. So it's $150 "penalty" to the customer for not getting their product.

Horrid Horrid company! Cant manage their production facility and back logged 6 months. I wished I had looked at all of these other reviews before I bought and got trapped in their $150 cancellation fee.
Website says 6-8 weeks and the soonest Ill get it Spring 2021, ordered in October 2020.
Unacceptable production lead times and deceptive advertising since they know they cannot meet the 6-8 weeks and this has been going on for years as it turns out.

False advertising
I ordered a hot tub cover from Affordable Spa Covers on August 20th. The website claimed to fulfill the order in 6-8 weeks. I called around September 20th and was told that they had cut the vinyl for the cover, and to check back in another 4 weeks for more updated information. I called again today 10-20-20 and was told that they haven't started manufacturing the cover, the vinyl has not been cut and that I should check back in December. They are currently taking 16 weeks or more to process orders. If I wanted a refund, they would keep at least $150 of my payment that was processed the day after my order. I was also told that this operator that I was speaking with had called all of her competitors and was told that the timeframe for them was the same, approximately 16 weeks or more.

This company is a scam - making money off of charging expedited production or heavy cancellation fees.
Their website says it takes 6-8 weeks to make a spa cover.
I ordered one. After less than a week, I asked when it would be ready. I was told Mid-January (15 weeks).
My hot tub would freeze and be destroyed by then, so I politely asked fora refund. They said ok.
They gave me back $250 out of $400. $150 was kept as a cancellation fee for a product that wouldn't even be manufactured in almost 4 months.
BBB and Facebook, Yelp and more, are FULL of the same horrible scenarios.
These people are frauds.
No communication for months
Ordered hot tub cover 07/14/20, and was required to pay for it at that time. Order #95066. Not a word from them since then. Have called many times, and left my contact as instructed to do. I have tried to cancel the order after 8 weeks of waiting. I have read many reports on various complaint websites that they they want $150 dollars to cancel. We will see. Will not be accepting any of their attempts to ship. Many, many complaints as to quality, shipping, and not a word from them. So sad in this day of communication!

Avoid - Poor Quality/Horrible Service
I have used spas for 30 years and ordered many covers over that time. In my opinion, this is the worst $389.00 cover I have ever had. In my opinion, It is poor quality and cheaply made. I would avoid this company at all cost. I will never do business with them again. I ordered a spa cover from them in August 2019 and didn't receive it until December 2019. After months of waiting, the cover was made completely wrong. I spoke to 3 staff about strap placement on separate occasions and they still put them in the wrong place. The cover arrived ripped also. It is a cheaply made, poor quality vinyl compared to all others I have owned. They would not refund my money after waiting 4 months for delivery of a substandard spa. Horrible customer service.

Horrible experience. I ordered a spa cover on line. around 4/2019 it arrived 2 and 1/2 month later and it was damaged. Their policy says to inspect the product and if damaged do not accept. well, they said the carrier that the had for my address did not do that and they just left it at the front door.
Trying to get answers from this company is impossible. they do not answer calls or emails. once they did, they said thru e-mail it was "it apperars that ONLY THE LINER is torn" as if that's no big deal. and they will file a claim. that's it. No apologies and no solutions. It's been over a month now and no response.
I do not recommend this company at all. i wish i had read the reviews.

I ordered a spa cover which arrived today, Feb 1, in a damaged box that was clearly repackaged after the shipper realized they tore the cover. The shipper, Estes, put it back in the box upside down so that the torn cover didn't align with the damaged box. I didn't sign for it and want my money back.
It is clear this company has a problem with shipping spa covers and should do a better job packaging them or selecting shipping vendors who don't damage the products.

I ordered my cover on November 23, with an expected 3.5 week (24.5 days) delivery expectation. It just arrived today 47 days after ordering, just shy of 2x the delivery time. This company lies and is deceitful. Here are some facts... I first called on December 20th to inquire about delivery, as the quoted 3.5 weeks had elapsed. I spoke to a gentleman (sorry I didn't get a name at that point) who told me that my cover was completed and was in the shipping department. Having not heard anything from the company, I called back on Dec 27 and spoke to Jeff. He told me he would go out to shipping and determine the status and email me that same day the status. You guessed it... no email. I called back on Dec 28 and spoke to Tim, who stated he would talk to management to see if they could 2-day ship the cover, as I was leaving my house for the next 4 weeks. Tim told me he would call me back that day... yup, you can guess what happened... no call. On Dec 29, my FOURTH CALL, I spoke again to Jeff and he told me that shipping was delayed due to the holidays. I told Jeff the holidays were known events when I placed my order expecting a 3.5 week delivery. I asked to speak to someone in management and was told that shipping was on a break. I asked again to speak to someone in authority, and was told I needed to speak to shipping. This company is awful, dishonest and has ZERO care about your order or their customer service. I will never, never order from them again and I recommend that everyone follows the same advice. When people outright lie, multiple times, I will stop doing business with the person or that company.

I have had a terrible experience with affordable spa covers. I placed and paid for my order on sunday 12/19, it was processed 12/20. Despite the claim on their web-site that they ship in 48 hours my cover did not ship until january 14th. This was after calling them or requesting assistance through their web-site a half dozen times. This company does not know how to communicate! To complicate my order further it was damaged in shipping. This was not their fault. Again 5 non returned calls before someone finally answered 11 days after the shipment was refused. How do you conduct business without answering the phone. I am still waiting for resolution and worse yet I am still without a hot tub cover. Do not use this company! They do not communicate to their customers-!
I ordered a cover and now over 4 weeks later my order still shows "pending". Any attempt to contact them is useless! Finally filed a dispute with my credit card company because they immediately charged my card. They have a phone number but you cannot leave a message. I sent an email which of course went unanswered. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I ordered from this company because of their warranty. After receiving the cover and reading the fine print, the warranty is basically useless, unless you live within driving distance of the company. Two of the four tie down clamps broke after only a few months (we do live in Northern IL, but have never had trouble with these from other companies). These clasps, which probably would cost the company a total of under $2 to ship to me, are not covered. I had to pay $14 to have two sent to me. This took over 4 weeks, 2 emails, 4 phone calls, and 2 hours of wasted time. Too many other companies out there - I will not buy from affordablespacovers.com again. TERRIBLE customer service! Image compares their small clasps to the ones from our old cover, which came with 2 extras.
