Affordable Spa Covers Hot tub cover

I ordered a tub cover from Affordable Spas on May 28 2022.

The order number is 152023 and ref no. 4654 from correspondance.

They got back to me about an upgrade which I agreed to.

I have subequently contacted them about possible delivery dates and they informed me that they were dealing with a lot of back orders due to the pandemic.

my latest enquiries by email and phone have gone unanswered.

Desired outcome: I would like to hear of an imminent delivery or have my money refunded.

Affordable Spa Covers Replacement spa cover.

Order # 151766

Date of order 05/23/2022

Charged to my Visa immediately Cost: $310

Understood the cover would be custom made and shipped very soon. I checked back after a couple of months and could not see any updates online.

After numerous attempts by phone I finally spoke with a representative who told me that they were behind with production and would ship by September but could be as late as November. I requested cancellation and was told there was a 20 or 25% restocking fee. I asked how you can restock something that is not even made yet. I was told company policy.

It is now October 26 and I have spent hours on hold and left numerous message but no response.

I just want my money back.

Affordable Spa Covers Hot Tub Covers

On June 11, 2021 I ordered the cover The charge was immediately processed of $269 I was told I would receive in 6 weeks When I did not receive by September I called was told it was on its way When I did not receive I called on November 1st and was told delayed due to lack of products parts so new date was given for January of 2022 I called March 15th got voice mail ,left message On March 16th I received an email from Affordable Spa Covers that stated they were running about 16 weeks from purchase date (June 11, 2021) which was a lie because really it is now about 39 weeks from date of purchase Then another email came from saying they will send a check in 3-4 weeks Called [protected] spoke with Joanna she remarked "there's a problem in accounting and check was pulled and will be sent out May 13th" Did not receive by end of May So called and was they had fraud on account and would issue check in July By July 7th had not received and emailed them On August 23rd I received an email stating check would be mailed end of September

as of today NO REFUND This is not acceptable

Desired outcome: Full refund of $269 as I did not receive product

Affordable Spa Covers Spa cover

I ordered my spa cover on April 9, 2021 and paid in FULL (Order #118484 $370.00). Every few months I inquire about the status of my order and keep getting the same responses. They say that it will be delivered in a few months, due to a foam shortage and supply chain problem. It's an absolute joke. I think this has been my 10th response from them..."Sorry for the late response, our phone lines are not working properly now, we are working on it. We have received foam; we are currently working on orders of January 2021. to have April's orders ready, it will be around January 2023, if not sooner. Our production team is working hard to reduce lead times. We will email you as soon as it leaves our facility."

Just tired of more excuses. How can they keep taking orders when they are almost 2 years behind in shipments? I don't trust a word they say. I'm going to file many complaints and contact BBB to spread the word that they are unscrupulous business. Buyer Beware! What a SCAM.

Desired outcome: I just want the spa cover I ordered with free shipping (as agreed upon at the time the order was placed).

Seems like recurring theme with this company. Ordered my cover May 27, 2021 (Order ID: 123342 for $320.00) with the same responses. First it was next month, then 4 months, 6 and now no response at all. Did file with BBB and they came back with "no response from the company". Not sure if am able to have my CC charges reversed but going to try. Don't know why the state hasn't shut down this company. Total Scam!

Affordable Spa Covers Ordered a spa cover and never received the product

On 5/30/2021 I ordered a hot tub cover. 10/6/2021 I received an update that it was in production. I called In January 2022 to find out the status and they stated it really wasn't in production yet, and they hoped to have it done in April 2022. I called in April of 2022 when I didn't receive it yet and they stated they were still out of foam and were hoping to have it done in July 2022. It is now Oct 2022 and I have not received any further order updates. I tried calling them and they never answer the phone. I left a message with no return call. I have sent an email with no response.

Desired outcome: refund or the product shipped

as of October 2, 2022 I have no cover and only one email claiming "supply chain issues"

I have called several times and I am never able to talk to a real person

I have left multiple messages and left a call back number - no returned calls

Affordable Spa Covers Spa cover

I ordered a cover on 5/15/22 at a cost of $624. I waited 18 weeks with no word from the company. I sent an e mail through their website (no e mail address to send an actual e mail) requesting information on where my spa cover was. I did not receive a reply one week later I placed a phone call. No one answered the phone. I left a message on a mystery voicemail. No return call I sent a second email through their system with no response and made two additional phone calls with voicemails left and no return calls. I went to my bank and had the charge to my credit card reversed. Do your homework! Apparently I did not do mine well enough. However now I have a beautiful cover from the manufacture of my spa

Affordable Spa Covers Hot tub cover

I ordered a hot tub cover 2/8/2021 and have yet to receive it. I have called 4 times inquiring about the cover. Each time I’m told they are still waiting on the foam and push out the delivery order 2 to 3 more months. I called and emailed the company 9/19/22 and couldn’t get anyone and sent an email. I have not gotten a response from either as of today 9/26/22. I have reached out to the company that I used to pay for the cover to get a refund of $370 that was charged when I made the order .

Desired outcome: I want my refund of $370 so I can get this much needed cover from a reliable company .

Affordable Spa Covers Spa Cover

We ordered a new hot tub cover September 20th or 2021. The 1st estimated ETA was November 2021. I called in November of 2021 and they pushed it out to February 2022. They told me that they had a shortage on phone and they were waiting for a shipment from China. I called again in February 2022 and they put it out to September 2022. I called and nobody will answer their phone I have left 9 voicemail messages and messages and 3 emails. My card was charged back in September 2021 and we've reached out to our credit card company to see if they can reverse charges.

Affordable Spa Covers Refund for product never received

On June 22nd, 2021 I ordered a spa cover. I was told it would arrive in approximately 3 months. I didn't hear back from the company and followed up myself after 3 months. They delayed the delivery another 3 months. They again didn't communicate a delay and continued this pattern of delays with no communication until I finally cancelled and asked for a refund a year later. It is now 14 months since my order and no refund check, yet they are still operating a business and taking people's orders. They should be shut down and investigated. Here is my information.

I would love more support. My credit card company isn't able to pursue a refund due to the time frame and I have already made a complaint to the BBB. Thank you.

Affordable Spa Covers Hot tub cover scam

I ordered a hot tub cover many months ago, paying in full. 2 days later they gave me a partial refund. I inquired as to the reason for it and they said it was by mistake and meant for another customer. After emails the customer service person said that she could refund the rest of my money or I could leave it as a deposit and pay the rest when it was ready to ship. After all this time and still not receiving the cover I requested my remaining money back. Now another customer service person is saying there is a $150 cancelation fee if not canceled within 24 hours. There is no documents to sign or agreement to acknowledge this at time of purchase. Also it seems pretty convenient that what they didn't refund me days later was $150...

So with the communication with the 1st customer service rep she had the opportunity to inform me of the policy and did not...in fact it was days later she was going to issue my refund then but I trusted the company and said leave as a deposit. Now after further investigation of the company they have scammed a lot of other innocent people. There is not a good review at all

Desired outcome: I want my $150.00 refunded back to me, please. I am a single mother of 2 and people like this take advantage of people.

Affordable Spa Covers Spa Cover

I ordered a spa cover in early April and paid for it. Eight weeks later I checked the status of the order and was told they had a 16 week lead time, I would receive my cover in August. Since half the 16 weeks had passed, I let it go.

I called August 3, 2022 and was told it would be October or November before I receive the cover. So, another 12 - 16 weeks. I asked about cancelling the order and was told there is a $150 cancellation fee. That is half the price of the cover, this is totally unreasonable!

I would never have ordered for Affordable Spa Covers if they had told me up-front how long it was going to take.

Desired outcome: I would like a full refund with NO cancellation charges.

I placed an order of $345.00 March 8, 2021 for a replacement spa cover. In July 2021 was told it was still in production and to expect delivery in September 2021. On October 27, 2021 I called and was told to expect delivery December 2021, delivery due to unavailability of foam. Called December 28, 2021 and was told to expect delivery end of January 2022. Called Feb 2022 and was told delay was still due to unavailability of foam. We called March 23, 2022 and was told the cover would arrive by end of April 2022 and was told I could request a FULL refund if I wanted to. Later the same day I sent the following email: "I think waiting one year is more than enough time to receive my spa cover. Please cancel this order and refund my $345. Thank you." The following day I received this email: "We were unable to process an automatic refund. We will send you a check for $345 within 3-4 weeks. We apologize for the inconvenience." On June 1 2022 I sent the following email: " I have waited long enough for my $345.00 refund. On March 24, 2022 you wrote that I would be receiving a check "within 3-4 weeks".

I had originally ordered the spa cover one year earlier on March 3, 2021 and could wait no longer for delivery and thus was given the option to cancel with a full refund. I chose to do this. I called most recently and spoke with Joy who confirmed that the check would be sent in May. I expect to see a check for $345 within the next ten days." On June 1, 2022 I received this email, similar to what others have also received:

We regret to inform you that your check will be release between June and July’s month. The company’s bank account has been compromised and therefore an investigation is being made. A change in accounts will be necessary which will not allow us to write any checks until the bank’s investigation is over. Accordingly, pursuant to the terms of our contract, please consider this correspondence to be our formal notice of potential delays to our performance through no fault of our own and that are beyond our control. We will continue to keep you informed once the check has been mailed out from our office. If you want to reinstate your order, it could be out by the beginning of July. Let us know if you want to put it back into the production line. I responded, " I do NOT want to reinstate my order. I want my $345.00 refund IN FULL. NOW. I have opened a complaint with my bank to investigate."

I ordered a spa cover on May 9, 2021 and expected it in 6-8 weeks. In July I inquired about the status and was told they were backlogged 22-24 weeks - early to mid November. In November I was told December. In January I was told March due to foam shortage, April I was told July 2022. I canceled the order and requested a refund. I was told they couldn't refund my credit card and would send a check in 3-4 weeks. No Check, I was told end of the month, and the answer is always the end the of the month. My credit card company won't reverse the charge because of the time since the order. I've filed with the BBB and wondering what other options there are. Company was recently advertising expedited delivery for an extra fee. This is a Scam or Ponzi scheme. This company needs to be shut down.

Exact same issue with me. Ordered in April 2021, on point, same...today..another reply, pushing supposedly the check to end of August now. I filed complaints with the FTC, as well as BBB.

Ordered a cover November 14 paid upon placing the order

I was informed that do 2 unforeseen circumstances I will not get my tub cover until may.

On may the 5th yellow freight came to deliver the cover unfortunately it was somebody else’s so I refused it

Called the company they said you excepted it its your problem,and the carrier gave me the runaround Said it was loaded into the wrong truck it will be delivered tomorrow it never arrived I informed them that I will not be available after 28 of May for a week due to family circumstances please do not deliver until I inspect

they deliver it anyhow on the 31st cover was damaged I called company said call the carrier it’s not our problem you excepted it

I explained that I did not accept it and I instructed them not to deliver And provided proof of the conversation with the carrier.

never heard back from the carrier until yesterday June 31 when the carrier showed up unannounced to pick up the damaged cover in the meantime no credit to my account

I contacted the manufacturer they told me it will take them 24 weeks to issue me credit …what h out

Desired outcome: Like an apology for the miserable treatment and an immediate refund

Affordable Spa Covers Never received my product after months of excuses.

Same complaint as everyone else here with the same excuse about not being able to credit my credit card, which is BS. No check in the mail, using the same excuse as others have received. Company is a scam

Desired outcome: Give me my money back. You have no right to take my money and not produce a service.

I placed my order in February of 2020, delivery was continously postponed. I was offered a refund in 4 weeks 5 weeks ago... Now when I inquire as to my refund, I get this;

Dear customer,

We regret to inform you that your check will be release between June and July’s month. The company’s bank account has been compromised and therefore an investigation is being made. A change in accounts will be necessary which will not allow us to write any checks until the bank’s investigation is over. Accordingly, pursuant to the terms of our contract, please consider this correspondence to be our formal notice of potential delays to our performance through no fault of our own and that are beyond our control. We will continue to keep you informed once the check has been mailed out from our office.

Desired outcome: Refund my money

I have received the identical response after placing my order March 2021 and cancelling March 2022 and being promised a full refund of $365. Still nothing. I am so frustrated. I also called and talked to various people each time. I would like to join whatever class action suit there might be.

I am going through the exact same thing in approximately the same time frame. They haven't sent me the "compromised bank account" excuse yet, but I know of people who have complained on BBB that went through the same last year and had to wait two months for their refund. Fortunately, I live locally to the company and will be going to their place of business with a police officer this week to demand my refund. I have tried to get the DA to move on a fraud investigation but I guess the amount of money involved isn't enough for them. That or this guy contributed to the DA's campaign...

cancel order are they keep 150.00 says once they start the build of the cover thats what the 150 is for . 7 months to build a foam vinyl cover. This is a scam . they want you to cancel so they can keep your 150.

Affordable Spa Covers Charged cancellation fee when it's a breach of contract.

Ordered cover in April 2022. Was told cover would be in production in 12 to 16 weeks according to website. Then after 3 weeks I contacted to check on production told 16 to 24 weeks now. Tried to cancel order as its a breach of contract and still got taken for 150.00 canceled order. Looks like I am not the only one in this situation as there are others with same type of complaint.

Desired outcome: I want my 150.00 back.

This has to be the worst company ever I ordered a spa cover in may 14 2021 was told would take 12 weeks okay that will work 12 week came and gone called said it was taking longer due to supplies okay I can understand I own a business and have had problems my self 6 months later no cover called we cant get foam your will be the next to ship as soon as the foam comes in. year later still no cover and now my cover has not even gone into production and they cant get foam again told me it would be august before I got my cover. this company is the worst do not give them your money there website is a total lie don't take orders if you can not fill the orders you already have. forget about trying to speak to the owner he wont take your calls he or she is a coward I am sure he knows he will be cursed out so he leaves it to the girls who answer the phone I feel for them because I know I lost my temper. very bad company don't buy from them

called the company to get a update on when my cover would arrive and was informed it might take 36 week even though it says 12 to 16 weeks on there site was told if i paid more money they could speed it up other wise i would just have to wait when i asked about cancelling the order they said that was not a problem but it would cost 150 dollars so i have filed a complaint with Florida Attorney generals office

Desired outcome: give me my money back because you have not even started my cover
