I lost an id on the 24th of april 2012 and repoterd it to braamfortein police station and also report to the safps, but I tried to go to the branch (african bank) three times in dobsonville and I could not find help every time I go there they told me they dont know how to help me I must call head office where they tell me to call safps can please someone help me, I did not take a loan with african bank at all

wrong debit order date
I am really pissed off African bank debited my account on wrong date and used the money that I needed to use urgently and it has tarnshed mt credit rating.This is not the first time this has happened, money was debited on the 17th but my instruction was 25th .I was really disappointed as I have 3 accounts that are debited on the same day .Surely common sense should prevail.All charges that will be in incurred will be for account and I am thinking twice about your service.

My name its rosina I have a loan with african bank and last month I was suppose to finish paying my loan I spoke to a lady she told me that I was left with r1384 its the last payment from african bank because I wanted to settle the account, now after the payment they called me again and said I still owe the r125 somewhere around that amount I was really shocked because if I say to you. I want to finish my loan account and concentrate on other debt please give me the hole amount that I owe then you give me r1384 then after payment I still owe, "what is that are u trying to make money o, they should have told me that its r1500 from the start, now its even worse it went up to r200 while I was trying to resolve the issue. Last Tuesday I did an online request for an agent to call me, I was called by an agent, we did an online application, i qualified for a loan of R22 000 and a silver credit card for R15 000, I was told to go to the nearest African Bank with my Proof of I.D, Proof of residence, 3 months bank statement & latest payslip, I went to the bank on Thursday, submitted all documents, signed a quotation etc, later that afternoon the branch manager and consultant that assisted me said I should pop by to do some fingerprints on her system, which I did, I was told the amount of R22 000 will be in my account as I only accepted the loan, I waited till Saturday, no feedback or money in my account, I call African Bank Head office, the agent prince said he'll look into my application, few minutes later the branch manager and consultant that assisted me asked if I could come to the branch again to resubmit my application as they withdrew it, they weren't sure as to why I didn't receive a response/ money as they confirmed my paperwork was a 100%, I went and resubmitted etc, was again told it would take two days, today (08/10/2018) I get a call from the consultant asking about my I.d, if I ever had fraud on it, I said no, I was then told my application was rejected and they cannot give me anymore information. I am very disappointed and unsatisfied

I am currently being pursued by GLA attorneys who is threatening legal action if I don't start paying my loan immediately through them. I also have a debit orders lodged against my bank account at Capitec Bank. Who do I pay? Directly to AB or through the lawyers.
My loans has not been serviced for over 3 years as you sold your Ellerines stores where I took out these loans. I know the law states that if your loan has not been paid or now contact made over 3 years, this loan expires. So why do I need to pay a loan that has expired by law? I await your response and a resolution for a way forward.

I do not know what African Bank does not understand. Tracers harass me at my work place and that after I told African Bank please do not phone me on my work telephone number neither send out tracer. I will make monthly payments and as soon as I can I will pay more. But this they do not understand. I am facing a disciplinary hearing at my workplace, because it is not very corporate like if tracers attend your work place and there are other customers, especially if you are also working for a legal company. I have had it. If I loose my job, then I cannot pay them. Is this what they want. I have had it now.

I am in arrears but I have not run away from this I have even contacted African Bank paying and additional amount monthly, I have been checking my statements and now notice that my arrears and balance not decreasing even with extra payments... I'm being charged 32.5% interest at this rate I will never complete paying and even with the extra payments since last year my arrears amount is not decreasing.

Nonsipho Ndlalose called me from the collections number, advising me that my account is in arrears. Which is untrue, I logged into my bank to confirm that all payments have been made. She still accuses me after I told her to give it 24 hours after the debit order for August 2018 was successfully debited on 29th Aug.2018
I hung up on her, as she refused to listen to any of my answers.
After I hung up, I received and sms threatening me with legal action as I have dishonored by agreement, which I false accusations.

double deductions
African Bank has been double deducting from my account, witch has left me with about R250 a week in my account to feed my family with. One of them is a 1 year old.
That is 80% of my money. When I complain they just say sorry it will not happen again but it does. Please stop. I have to keep borrowing money from work to cover the loss of the double deduction and then have to pay it back, then there is not enough money in my account to cover my loan payment. They have phoned to ask if they can deduct more money to catch me up on my arrears but right now I cant afford that and have told them so repeatedly, then they are all nice and all is good only to double deduct again. The more they do that the futher behind I am getting in my payments to them. So please stop.

I have had my mobile number for 15 years and never ever used African Bank, a Mr Denny has given my mobile number as his which is fraud and you have been calling me up to 13 times everyday for the past month. I'm requesting this because African bank is not sending any correspondence to show or to state that you've finished paying your debt to them whereas a proof of some kind or a letter could helpful besides the statement. Please I need urgent clarity and all documentation on how my husband was offered R100K loan without my consent. We are married in community of property and further more his affordability assessment could in no way be reached as he was paying for a bond school fees and many other debt he was servicing. I have forwarded the matter to the attorneys so they can deal with this reckless lending and further approach the NCR.

I am Snethemba Peter who has a credit card with African bank.i paid all the balance I had on that card and told them I want to close the account but they did not help me with that.so on the 26 April 2018 they debuted my money R750.i called them asking for a refund they asked for proof of payment to the account and I have them and now when I call them they are telling me that I should send the proof again.i'm pissed and angry because these punks on the callcenter told me lies about my documents.this is my money and I don't want anyone to play with it.i will never ever come back to african and I will never suggest african bank to anyone THIS IS [censored]
harassment on wrong number
For over a year I have been trying to get my phone number off of your system. You keep harassing me for payment for some RANDOM person. I've mentioned it on HelloPeter, Facebook, Twitter and still nothing. I believe I pay per sms and call received - this ultimately leads to theft on your behalf. I spoke to management who said the number was removed - liars. I've lost my cool and am not settling down unless you sh*heads resolve this issue.
My next step is CapeTalk and laying a charge of fraud and harassment. I simply want my number removed from the system.

Hi my name is Louis Joffe.On Saturday morning the14th April 2018 my wife and I went into the African Bank branch In Fourways Shopping Centre.We were attended to by I think Mandlaenkosi.I wanted a fixed deposit account for 1 year interest reinvested R700000.The gentleman said he couldn't connect after giving him my proof of residency and copy of my I'D, he said we should come back later which we did about 2 hours later to find he was still having problems.He said he would contact me when he had resolved the.problem.On Monday morning the 16th April 2018 I phoned him and was told he would sort it out that morning and he would phone me.No call nothing happened.My wife and I went into the bank today the 17th April 2018, to take back the copies of my I'D and residency documents and to show him a copy of my R700000 deposit into an FNB account.No apology nothing and he couldn't find our documents so we walked around the centre for an hour and then went back to find him not at his desk but a lady by the name of Silindile Buthelezi who had my documents and she apologised profusely on behalf of the branch and bank.My wife then asked her if she would sort out a fixed deposit for her when she will have R500000 to deposit on the 28th April 2018.This lady said my wife should phone her and she would make sure when we went in she would be available with out any waiting and would arrange the whole story in a very short period.How can a bank with not the best history treat a potential client like I was so badly treated.

I went into Your Clearwater Mall branch on Easter Saturday. to appky for a personal loan THE GENTLEMAN that helped me was Neo..I submitted all the documents required and he gave me a pre approval of R10.000.He told me to phone in the following Thursday to be sure..As I was leaving the bank an email came through on my phone with the contract I had signed .for the loan setting out how much I would have to pay per month & a letter from African bank with regard to the credit life product I'd have to take.. Neo at th e branch told me that my chances were good when I phoned in the following week and that it had been approved ..He then phones me the following Thursday to say that it had now been declined! !.HOW can you send someone a contract .then tell them the next day that they have bad news .that it had been declined. .surely you need to make sure of your facts first & you certainly don't send the client a contract setting out the criteria for paying the loan back before the loan has been approved..I am highly disgusted at the attitude of African bank & certainly will never recommend them to anyone ..The way they do things is totally back to front ..I cannot believe they could do such a thing!Tell the client the loan is approved and then tell them it is declined.Disgusting!.

Hi, I just need an assistance I always recieve bouncing back money deduction from African bank. While my account was closed last year 2017, after closing the account I recieved messages to rate the service at African bank sarvey... suddenly this passing 3 months I've notice smses showing that money was deducted from account. I just want to know if they know that they making charges on my account. Hopefully when they receive this message they will stop. They defrauding people.
