I have my account in the airtel call home where I can call India. Since the first day, the website doesn't work. If at all I am able to log in, I just can not even see my profile. I can not do anything there. The customer care number [protected] does not work. It is either busy or if by chance you get through it, you are put on hold. Once I was put on hold for an hour, but still customer service executive did not come online. There is a place in website where we can lodge complaint or give feedback. Even the website is not allowing me enter any information. This is the worst service I have ever seen. I am not sure how to contact Airtel and close my account. I have $20 in my account.
I am unable to call and receive anychennai reliance land line numbers (in INDIA and in Tamilnadu) from my Airtel mobile phone. Not only from my mobile also from all Airtel mobile in tamilnadu.
My father got his mobile with AIRTEL connection([protected])... Last month he received a message informing that he will get cricket score information and for that an amount of Rs.99/- has been recovered from his prepaid card. He had never enabled that option and willing to do those things...
Then he wanted to contact the AIRTEL customer care center but unable to contact them in this regard. His mobile number: [protected].
I brought a card for refill but due to the rains the card got wet and the 14 digit no tore a bit. Hence i could not refill it. I do not have time to go to an airtel center as it really takes up a lot of time. Mob no [protected]. Thank you.
Airtel Call Home is FRAUD ! Never use it. This morning (Oct-11-2007) they launched promotional offer which would give 100% free talk time (so $5 recharge would give $10 talk time). I recharged at 7:00 AM EST on Oct-11 and came to know that offer was dis-continued on same day due to Business Reasons !
Call center is saying offer was withdrawn on 1:00 PM IST time and I recharged around 4:00 PM IST time under that offer.. There website says some thing and some thing else would happen in back ground..
They are here to fool people.. stay away from them!
The service really sucks. Please do not use it. Reliance is 1000 times better.

I like Airtel much better than Reliance now. The call placement happens instantly, no delay at all... and the clarity is amazing, better then reliance..
I know, Airtel service sucks. I have not bought their card after first usage too. Even Reliance website is bad.

Airtel Call home is one of the worst services I have used for calling India.
last year I charged 4 time during their promotion (Independence Day and Diwali)
In the offer they said that they will be sending the Saree and a gift hamper. I called them 10 times and every time I call they said it will reach in 10 days. But to my dismay it never reached. When I called them again last month they said sorry and said that they will give me the credit for their mistake. It has been more than 2 weeks and the credit didnt come and when I called again today they said that I am not eligible.
The call center rep says that I am eligible but the other dept says I am not eligible.
Airtel outsources the gift thing to the other company. When the company defaults, they charge it from that company but doesnt pass it to us.
Like me there would have been thousands of people who must have recharged the account and they made millions from this.
Its a fake promotion and I would never recharge from Airtel again in my life.
They are real fraud.
Worst service, I have charged for 100$ not able to use at all, never got connected...whenever i try...90% call gets dropped ...irritates and loose my temperament ..and mood to talk...I will say not to use...worst customer service.

Airtel Sucks... these beggars steel money from your account. Customer Care worst than automated system. They are very rude. One of the situation is that if there is no activity for 6 months on the account, the disable the account and take the balance to party. Funny thing is they say there is no way that they can re-activate the account. The catch is if you do not realize that your account got locked, if you try login online it will let you login and re-charge the account. When you call Customer Care they say that is your fault to recharge. There are no alerts or communication to notify the account status.

Airtel SUCKS big time! The service is extremely pathetic. Firstly, the 1 cent per minute offer is BOGUS. They force us to pay $3.99 as a service usage fee every time you recharge it. It is ridiculous. They are making fun of expats. They are making them look stupid. Secondly, the service works fine for the first 1 week after registration. After that one has to make at least 15 attempts (No Kidding!) to make a call...and the worst part is the call gets disconnected when the service is still in use.
I am in no mood to talk about the Customer service. I guess they are rigorously trained to be 'Pathetic' to the extremes.
Ideal for the expats to exemplify and to quote what we hate about Indian companies, Indian goods and services, Indian Customer service, Indian mindset and people of India though we adore it. Here after, unquestionably, a firm 'ABSOLUTELY NO' to AIRTEL is my only recommendation.

This is the worst service provider. In real terms this type of companies bring the bad name to Indians and to their credibility.
airtel cuts money unnecessary and when i ask the customer care executive about why they cut my balance they behave rudely and cut more money in order to prove that if we complain more of our balance will be cut airtel service center executive cant fix problem any time and when customers talk politely they misbehave with the customer there is no complain box or grievence cell for customers at last the customers are only losing out every complain is falling in deaf ears AIRTEL such is big brand name is useless they just know how to cut the balance of its customers without any service activated by the customer
