Several other customers had the same issue with "Alliant Credit Union" (ACU) stating they didn't receive mail regarding warning/cancelation letters. I have provided some Complaintsboard.com examples in this complaint. On Nov 1st 2019, my (ACU) Card declined. I called (ACU). I was told my account was closed. Customer Service (CS) didn't know why. They gave me a phone number to call & said someone would call me back. I called the number on Nov 1 & left a voice message & continued calling everyday for over 35 days. No one returned my calls. I called (CS) & asked for a supervisor. Supervisor promised that someone will call me. Early Dec I received a call from Mr *** L, the Director of (ACU) compliance. He explained that he made the decision under suspicion that some transactions were business related. He claimed (ACU) sent me warning letters regarding this in Feb, May, July, & Sept 2019, Also a letter that the account was scheduled to be closed on Oct 31. I assured him that I didn't receive any letters about this matter. I also told him I spoke to (CS) on Oct 29 about a different matter. They did not mention that the account would be closed in 2 days. I also told him I called in July & requested a credit line increase which was granted. But, they did not mention any issues with my account. I now have an inquiry on my credit history, lowering my credit score & causing me financial loss. If I knew the account was at risk, I would have not requested a credit increase. I lost $1500 in cash-back & anual membership fee. Mr L asked me to send him a letter requesting to reinstate the account & explain what happened. I did. I waited over 4 weeks with no reply from (ACU). I called Mr L multiple times & left multiple messages. Few weeks later he answered the phone & told me they replied to my letter via mail that he declined my request. No letter received. Alliant serves as my checking, savings, and credit card company.I have been very pleased with Alliant throughout my 3 or so years with Alliant. So, this is a specific complaint related to a specific transaction. It also involves the merchant *** who also did not honor their return policy. In February 2022, I attempted a return to *** for items with a valid receipt and the return was denied. After failed attempts to resolve the return, I turned to my Alliant credit card to resolve the dispute through a chargeback to Floor and Decor I had no other recourse. I initiated a dispute online for approximately $750 for items returned with no credit from the vendor with all required support. I never heard anything back from Alliant even though I routinely checked for my dispute for several months. In early Sept 2022, I had a fraudulent transaction on my Alliant card and I went into the Alliant dispute portal and noticed that the February dispute with F&D was no longer in the system. I also reviewed my Alliant history and determined that I never received a credit. I spoke with Alliant customer service and they noted they had sent a dispute notice in the mail. I never received such dispute notice. Since I didn't fill out the mailed dispute notice, the dispute was resolved in favor of the vendor. While I understand having to fill out something in the mail, my online dispute record never gave any indication that I needed to do anything to continue pursuing the dispute (which I would have gladly done). It is apparent that Alliant's relationship with the vendor is more important than their relationship with me as a consumer. The mail and ghost online tactic is just a veiled attempt to make things harder on the consumer rather than trouble poor old Floor and Decor. Since I filed my dispute online, I should expect to receive and provide information in that forum and not mail.(As the dispute no longer appears in my online record, I am unable to provide support.)

This business has been a great pain! It started with my first call to them some years ago at the Oakland Main Public library for something that I now don't remember. They caused me to be so upset and frustrated that while my friend was the librarian, I either as a fluke lost my driver license or library card down their desk small slide between desk. Since, they have been a chronic pain, especially with their off hours call center. Alliant then fixed it and helped me create a pass work to not have an extension questioning where it was obnoxious and some questions that I don't and can't answer because my social security check are directly deposited and i am overwhelmed with my own personal stuff. Well, now they are doing it again, even with a personalize password and now there is no Alliant credit union people. ***, the supervisor was very rude and nasty and hostile and harassed me for a simple question that I did not want to look up on my computer because I don't frequently use the online feature. When I assumed it was *** who was the *** of the credit union, when I last knew, she stated, they don't give out employee information. In essence, I want to report that I have been harassed for the last thirty years of my banking with them. They have been a pain in the behind with my credit card and now they want to give me a preapproved card. They won't answer the phone when I wanted to return $35,000.00 to my account, therefore, I kept it with another bank. I have been seeking another credit union for years, yet they state they are rated excellently by well known financial organizations. They are the cheapest and tightest organization that I have ever dealt with, mostly they harass me! They have been a pure pain in the [censored]! I have not know how to deal with them for a long time. If your policies state it is okay to use a wrong street address *** account feel free to keep it. Currently I am moving around and so I don't have a fixed address I can use. The *** Box is the only address I have and can use at this time. If that means I would not receive my credit card, so be it.4) I beleive Alliant Credit Union has difficulty understanding English language. I never mentioned about any junk emails. I received a letter which stated Alliant Union shres customers' personal information to outsiders but some of those info can be limited by the union upon customer's request. That is what I asked *** to do but I guess your response is irrelevant. Am I writing this English I think so, unless you are one of those Filipino call center operator who does not understand English.5) Citi Bbak has not received the check you sent the. Ofcourse Alliant does not give a s*** what happens to that check. I as the customer would have to take the *** I spoke with Alliant on 07/22/2022. Name - *** Ref ***. I asked for the check number that was sent to *** had no clue what I was talking about. I asked for her direct manager to which she said she does not have a manager, she said she does not report to a direct manager. I then called again and spoke to another supervisor named Cat who said *** does have a direct manager.7) The very first day when I applied for the credit card, I was harassed by some of your member services operators. That is why I stopped talking to your phone operators. Looks like the same tradition is following up to your supervisor level as well. So I dont see myself calling your credit union anymore at all. Notice of Dispute to Alliant Credit Union Regarding Credit Matters
This letter serves as an official notice of dispute for the amount of $86,000.00 to Alliant Credit Union Corporation, also known as Alliant Credit Union. The account holder in question is protected under federal consumer laws. I was recently denied a credit line extension by Alliant Credit Union. On May 31, 2022, I applied for a credit card and my Transunion credit report was accessed by the credit union. They informed me that my credit score was 695 and that I was pre-approved for a credit card with a $5,000 limit. From May 31 to June 17, 2022, I communicated with an Alliant loan consultant and provided all information requested by their underwriting department for my credit card application. By June 17, I was told that my application was under review. On June 21, Transunion notified me that Alliant had accessed my credit information a second time within a month. However, when I contacted the Alliant loan consultant on the same day, I was assured that they had not accessed my credit details again, as Alliant does not review consumer credit reports multiple times within such a short period.

I had bill pay set up with Alliant for my car payment. All was smooth until May 2022. My loan office called about payment. I was past due. After research, they were missing 2 payments. I had Alliant send proof of deposit but the documents sent show another credit union cashing the checks. I've spoken to several people, including management, at Alliant. I've been assured that my account would be refunded then they will pursue the credit union to recover the funds. I have called and spent hours on the phone explaining the situation each time (because apparently they haven't noted my account). By the time they understand, I'm told they will issue a refund but it's never received. It's been 8 months with no resolution. My Alliant Account has experienced issues with payments to Auto Acceptance. Specifically, the payment on 5/2 was cashed by Credit Union Loan Source/Cinch Credit Union, and the same issue occurred with the payment on 6/8. However, the payment on 5/16 was received and cashed correctly. All other payments were cashed by Auto Acceptance as normal and as expected. This has caused me to become delinquent with my car and other bills because I paid $665 twice. I no longer use bill pay through Alliant. I would like help obtaining a refund for the misapplied funds, fees, and negative credit reporting. I am requesting a total of $850.
I am highly disappointed in Alliant. I recently opened a new acct with this credit union. Upon doing so, I waited till I got my debit card to transfer funds. When I got the card, I attempted to transfer around $16000, and now the account has been blocked, and no one at member services can tell me why. I did not receive a phone call or letter, and no communication. Now I have to wait for them to call me back tomorrow with no access to the funds on my account or the check deposit that was just sent over today. This is so wrong. It puts people in danger of having access to their money to live. This needs to be fixed, yesterday. You know I am who I say I am because you recently approved me for an autoloan.
A transfer of $10,600 was sent to an external account on 1/18/23. The funds($10,600) were withdrawn from m account at that time. Alliant withdrew $10,600 again on 1/20/23 which caused my account to go into the negative and they charged me a fee($15). The transaction was labeled deposit adjustment. I have sent multiple messages asking for resolution and it has been over a week since they last responded to me and their system will no longer allow me to send messages. It now generates an error message when I try to message.
I have a mortgage loan with Alliant. I make my monthly mortgage payments on the 5th of every month. Alliant is alleging that I did not make my January payment. Chase bank confirms they processed the payment on January 5th and Alliant accepted it the following day. The money, amounting to $1697.56, was deducted from my account. I have provided proof of this transaction. I emailed this proof of payment to Alliant. Despite this, they still claim I haven't paid and have added a late fee. They have escalated the issue to their collections department. I suspect there may be internal issues at Alliant. I want them to acknowledge receipt of both my January and February payments, remove the late fee, and correct any negative impact this dispute may have had on my credit score.
