American Standard
Customer Service Department,
We have recently discovered a defect with our American Standard toilet and, as recommended by the knowledgeable Kent salesperson whom we consulted, we are seeking the company’s aid in resolving the issue.
The following is a description of the defect as well as addition information regarding the toilet and its purchase.
Defect: There are two thin cracks on the front seat of the upper bowl. The more important crack has a ‘’y’’ shape on the seat of the bowl, is 12 cm long and leads to the lower part of the bowl. The smaller crack is approximately 5cm away but is restricted to the seat of the bowl.
Toilet: Cadet PRP 2-piece Toilet
Sticker on the inside of the tank: 4188A
Imprinted on the inside of the tank: 30 JUN [protected]
Purchase: Ordered through Kent in Moncton, New Brunswick on August 15,2016 and picked up at a later date (was not in
stock)
Unit price: 393.23$, with tax 452.21$
The toilet was installed by a professional during a bathroom remodel.
Only two adults occupy our cottage where we spend 6 months of the year. The cottage is actually a winterized home that is heated to 15 degrees C. when not occupied. We can also attest that no one has dropped anything on the toilet to cause the damage.
Attached you will find photos ( photos):

Sticker inside the tank as well as the imprint inside the tank
Installation Instructions indicating the model
Receipt from Kent indicating the model, the cost and the date at which the toilet was ordered.
Thank you in advance for looking into this matter and we are hoping for a prompt and satisfactory resolution.
Regards,
Eileen & Andre Lemoine
