Hello, I have been a faithful customer for several years, and I have never experienced what I am about to share. I emailed this complaint to Sure Lock Key on January 2, 2023 at 7:20 PM. I called the next day and was nonchalantly told "they're looking in to it." To date, there has been no response. Please review the email message below. Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Behavior and Threatening Conduct
Dear Sure Lock Key,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by your technicians today, around 5 PM, when they came to my property to repair a broken lock.
Upon their arrival, the technician and his assistant exhibited unprofessional behavior that not only undermined the integrity of your company but left me feeling unsafe and harassed in my building. The technician immediately began making derogatory comments about the previous installation, accusing the previous installer of incompetence. Moreover, he took it upon himself to provide an unsolicited tutorial on lock installation, which was both condescending and unnecessary.
To exacerbate the situation, the technician accused me of dishonesty when I presented two screws that had been in my pocket, claiming that I had lied about attempting to remove the lock. This unfounded accusation was both insulting and baseless. Subsequently, he insisted that I needed to purchase new hardware costing $325, a demand that seemed arbitrary and exorbitant.
The situation took a disturbing turn when the technician became increasingly aggressive, using offensive language and making racially insensitive comments. This behavior continued as they exited my property, leaving me feeling threatened and unsafe in my building. The technician's refusal to reinstall the lock in its original state further compounded the unprofessionalism of the entire service. (picture of how he left the door/lock. Given the distressing and unacceptable nature of this incident, I am formally requesting a full refund of the $125 charged for the service. The service provided was not only subpar but included harassment, verbal abuse, and a genuine concern for my personal safety. This experience was not only unprofessional but left a lasting impact on my sense of security and well-being.
I trust that Sure Lock Key takes such matters seriously and will conduct a thorough investigation into this incident. I anticipate a prompt resolution to this matter and the issuance of a full refund. If necessary, I am prepared to escalate this complaint through relevant consumer protection agencies and online platforms to ensure that others are made aware of the unacceptable conduct exhibited by your technicians.
