Anytime Fitness they state that the membership ended

We paid for three memberships to the company Cedarburg Anytime Fitness. We visited their gym couple of times, but they already stated that we needed to pay for new membership. WTF? It couldn’t finish so fast, and we think that the company fooled us, but there was no expiry date on the membership cards. What do we need to do, maybe someone has the similar problems and can advise something.

I got banned for sweating too much. I agreed to clean the machine I was using, but not the floor or was I even asked to, just banned because of employee didn't like me at all, It was very discriminative like I was only one sweating. I had no problem cleaning my machine, but the floor... really??? I still think this is the funniest thing ever, I mean really. I had no idea I was going to sweat at a gym. lol...

Anytime Fitness ripped me off for $305.10

I joined anytime fitness cambridge hespeler in october 2013 and broke my tail bone three weeks later. I didn't end up going to the gym at all.(Maybe a handful of times) but continued to pay my membership as per my contract. On october 3rd, 2014 i sent an email asking to cancel and explained my situation. Anytime replied apologizing and offering additional service but i replied that i could no longer afford the monthly bill and to please cancel. I did get another reply from them asking if i wanted to pay $5 a month to secure my rates but i did not see this one therefor did not reply. In february i figured out they are still charging me $50.85 so i marched in there and they said the girl i was dealing with is no longer there.. There must have been an oversight, she should have told me to come in and sign papers, apologized to me ... Etc.. When my february pymt still came out i called back and she said there was no time to stop it. Another month has gone by.. No one has called me to resolve this and now they have taken a march pymt too.. I cancelled in october.. I have it in writing .. They have now taken and extra $305.10 and clearly i am going to have to call my bank to prevent them from taking more. Is there anything i can do ?

Anytime Fitness fraud: contract fraud

Dublin anytime fitness in Dublin ohio fraudulently represented themselves in multiple online advertisements leading up to our family encountering a manager or owner by name of Dave. My husband and I were told contracts can be cancelled at anytime by Dave at anytime fitness dublin. This man lied to us. Our son became seriously ill and so we tried to cancel as promised. No. Apparently anytime Finess Dublin requires you jump through multiple phone calls emails and forms before finally being told the contract can be cancelled by writing. Our family lost a large sum of money because the personal training contract was for 6 months. We only used some of it. The remainder according to Dave at anytime fitness dublin will be forfeited. Dublin anytime fitness is like all the rest of the big box gyms. Anything to get you in the doors and pay. Do not sign contracts. Avoid dublin anytime fitness. Very bad dishonest experience.

I spoke to Blue Cross Insurance about adding my son to the fitness plan which is $20 less than the monthly fee they charge at Anytime Fitness, and they said it was no problem. When I went in and spoke to Dave, he was very rude and wanted more money out of me somehow. Then he called me back and said we couldn't cancel my son's membership at the $45/mo. rate...

Anytime Fitness impossible to cancel

Impossible to get ahold of anyone. When I try to call and nobody answers (I leave many messages) during their listed 'staffed hours' nobody will answer. I hoped they're just busy, tried driving over to meet up in person before work. Which, coincidently, there's nobody there (or willing to speak with me), so I'd leave my callback number on a note like the box outside the office says to do if I'd like a callback. Never received a callback. I often prefer to pay in cash for things since its impossible to accommodate my bank's wacky operation hours on my schedule, which is why I didn't mind going in during scheduled STAFFED hrs every month 5 days prior to bill due date, to make direct payments. As I explained this preference to the staff member, she assured me this was no problem and to come in and pay. I was def mislead. That worked a total of about 2 or 3x before their customer service became nonexistent. Besides this, I wasn't offered any refund or replacement for the 3rd hr. of personal training in a session I had to cancel due to the trainer being rude, making me feel uncomfortable, and refusing to train me in the area I paid him to focus on. I always heard gyms were a nightmare but I never understood until this and I wish I never signed up with Anytime Fitness. But I'll settle for being able to just get ahold of anybody who can move me forward in ending this forever so I can put this behind me and never think about these scam artists again.

Call up your bank and cancel your monthly payments. You will have to also send the head office a letter explaining that you are giving them their 30 days written notice as per the writing on the contract just over the member's signature line. Make sure you send them a copy of the expired contract and be sure to highlight all areas of concern. I too, am in the process of cancelling my membership with them. Gather up all your papers and send them the letter with a threat to sue. Address the envelope to the gym's manager. When they contact you make sure you tell them "Everything you need to know is in the letter i sent you. If you you wish to discuss this further please send me an email." The reason you need to say this, is because emails are considered legal documents and they will have to answer to the judge in small claims court. When you go to court make sure you have all documentation that pertains to this case. Don't show up empty handed.

Anytime Fitness membership cancellation

After canceling my membership in October of last year I am still receiving calls and emails from ABC Financial stating that I owe over $100 for a membership that I do not have. I handed my cancellation notice to Josh and he assured me that my account would be canceled. It has been a nightmare day after day receiving calls and email notifications. Please stay away from this facility, they are unprofessional and would drain your bank account. I am currently seeking legal action against this club.

Anytime Fitness bad service, scams

Went to Anytime on the 8th of January for the last day of a three day sale. Staff was not even aware of this sale and proceeded to quote non sale fees. Their membership dues are outrageous for what you get. There are also "fees"attached to everything, including access to the facility. The sale staff is only interested in selling you a 1 yr. minimum contract with no way out. They are also hoping you do not show up. They offer a pass for ten dollars? That is a fee. All things consider, this particular gym is worth avoiding

Anytime Fitness owner

The owners of Anytime fitness in Magee, MS are horribly rude. The owner CARL treats his customers with disrespect. Please think twice before being subject to such rude service. I was in anytime fitness when the owner ran across the gym and started screeching at my husband, a one legged disabled, Army vet that was working out. My husband was not bothering the owner when he verbally attacked him. If he can disrespect a one legged vet he will disrespect anyone. I was disgusted.

Anytime Fitness &auto renewal&

i signed up for a 12 month contract, contract states $***.** will be paid out in a 12 month period.

it has been 2 month since, which ABC think that gives them permission to change my account from a 12 month Contract to an "AUTO RENEWAL monthly contract" i have not been to this gym in almost 9 month due to the fact every single time i did go there at lease 1-3 gym equipment was broken and the "personal trainer" played on her phone never assisting even when asked questions.

Anytime Fitness contract cancellation problems

So i signed a 1 year contract with anytime fitness. After 5 or 6 month i ask them to freeze my account for 4 month and cancel a tanning bed service. There was no problem with that at all. Of course not, their tanning bed sucks! The glass has been broken for a few months and lamps are old as f*ck. I should have ask for refund, i had all the rights to do that, but i didn't want to be a b**** about 15 bucks a month.
Anyway, then i got pregnant and i couldn't work out anymore (i'm bleeding and can hardly walk around the house), so i went to the office and ask them to cancel my contract. It was right a day before my payment was scheduled after refreeze. The lady said she will cancel my contract but she won't be able to stop scheduled payment. That was absolutely fine with me. In a couple weeks they called me back and told me that i have to pay a 50 bucks fee and bring a note from a doctor. I was pissed off.
By the time i got my appointment to a doctor they charged me for another month. I called them and ask to freeze account until i bring them a damned note from a doctor. Lady said it's okay.. Today (June, 2) was my first visit to a doctor. And tomorrow guess what? These as6holes will charge me again. I called them today to make sure that my account is still frozen and it is not. She "froze" it just for two weeks. For what reason? It was paid anyway for the whole month. At the end of a conversation she told me that i am a liar cause i didn't bring them a note yet. What a bunch of [censored].
The bottom line is. I won't die without extra 200 bucks, but this company just lost its customer and earned a piss poor reputation.

I have cataracts that prevent me from reading small print so I asked the manager to explain membership cancellation policy. He said I could cancel for health reasons. In an upcoming surgery, my maxilla will be cut off my face and moved. I will not be able to chew food for over 4 months and it will take me years before I can exercise. I gave them the surgeon...

Anytime Fitness did not honor online pass

I went online to get a 7 day pass to tryout the center. Online, I received a 14 day pass for signing up online. The owner of the watt ave center told me he was a smart businessman and did not honor the 14 day pass. He stated "people who want a 14 day pass never purchase a membership". I was seriously looking for a fitness center that's open 24 hrs and was not a meat market, I thought I had found it but the condescending owner is the reason I'm now a member of 24 hr fitness, they didn't promise anything but a 3 day pass but gave me a 5 day pass when I showed up at the center. They under promised and over delivered, that's my definition of good business practices.

These people are seriously from hell. Not only were they very judgmental and critical in their behavior constantly, and telling me they watch my girlfriend and i on camera when no one else is there. But after i cancelled 8 months ago, only a few months later they started charging money out of my account again. I did not find out about this until it had been going on for 4 months. They didn't own up to what they did, and I've been trying to get my money back. The old guy who is the owner has harassed me, and verbally insulted me many times. He called me a classy fa*g*t, and a [censored]. This is no way to treat a costumer. They owe me hundreds of dollars from all of the money they have been secretly taking out of my bank account..

If your bank will not stop the transactions then you will not close that bank account and which to a new one. It's the only thing you can do about that. Take the local business owner of Anytime Fitness to court to get the money back. Make sure you have the cancellation document and all the transaction they have taken out.

Don't understand why you would do anything after 3 years of them doing this.

Anytime Fitness needing paid on payday

Anytime Fitness forged &contract&

I joined this gym due to the fact that I had 2 clients that worked out there, as I am a personal trainer. I absolutely DO NOT do gym contracts long term. I signed up with the staff member assuring me that it was month-to-month. I signed the left side of the paper under the liability waiver, so I couldn't sue them if I injured myself. No biggie. On the right side of the paper were the contract details, which he assured me I didn't need to worry about, as I was month-to-month. He just wrote in $36 per month. When I went to cancel 2 years later because my clients switched to cleaner, better equipped gyms, the staff member produced a paper that I had "initialed" on the contract side, and I had a year to go on my membership. These were clearly not my initials, whoever forged the didn't even attempt to make them resemble my handwriting. He stated he had to talk to the owner and "corporate" and there's nothing they would be able to do. I gave him his key and informed him he would be cut off at the bank. Sure enough, inthe 2nd, anytime fitness tried to pull dues out of my account. Their business service then called me to let me know that I needed to change my payment options or I wouldn't have access to the club. I then informed her that I put a stop payment on it and they would never get another dime from me, I don't care if it's on my credit til the day I die

Anytime Fitness contract

Do not sign a contract with this company. Called and cancelled with-in the 30 days and they ignored it kept charging my bank. I finally told my bank to stop paying them. They then turned in the entire year for collection. Never visited the place after a couple weeks. They don't hadle their own billing, instead they farm it out to ABC Credit. Niether company knows what the other is doing.

Anytime Fitness sent an altered copy of the contract I signed to the Credit Bureau. The original contract did not have a membership number and the ending date is 02/01/2014. An employee (not the current Gatesville manager) but someone I have never communicated with made statements to the credit bureau about what was said to me and sent an altered contract to them.
It is illegal to alter a contract without the knowledge of the client. If you alter any legal document, everyone must initial where the alteration was made.
You should not sign a contract with a company that alters documents.

I did not show my last name, contact numbers, and bank routing numbers for privacy.

I have a copy of the contract from Anytime Fitness that list the expiration date of the contract as 2/1/14. I have sent certified mail to the company and ABC Financial and tried and tried and tried to contact them to resolve the dispute. They wanted me to continue paying a small amount until the "contract expires" (?) I would not ($5 or &10 a month over months adds up) so they have turned me into a collection agency. I am 63 years old and HAD perfect credit-- never even a late bill. I've had multiple surgeries over the last few months (last one on August 20th) and instead of healing I am fighting this.
Do not sign a contract with Anytime Fitness.

Anytime Fitness threatened with membership cancellation and $50 fine

Anytime Fitness recently opened in the town where I live. I took my preteen daughter with me for the tour, at which time I paid for one year's membership ($470). The staff was friendly and welcomed both of us. When I returned for the health screening, the staff inquired about the whereabouts of my daughter who was in school. I took my daughter with me to the club one night (after staffed hours). I was sent an email stating the facility has a zero tolerance policy for "tailgaiting" and that children under 16 can not be in the facility during hours in which the club is not staffed. Further, the email stated that the first offense involves a warning and a $50 fine. The second offense involves membership termination. In reviewing the contract which I signed, there is no mention of "tailgaiting".

I work 12+ hour shifts, and I didn't see the email until just before I was planning to go to the facility on 1/1/13. When I called to discuss the matter, I reached a voicemail. Needless to say, my New Year's Day was ruined! I plan to go to the facility today, 1/2/13, to negotiate a refund and terminate my membership. I have been a member for less than a month and have only worked out three times. If we are not able to reach an amicable agreement, I will submit another complaint here, tell my friends, coworkers, and family, and notify the local press. I am sick and tired of being taken advantage of and treated like crap!

I cancelled my 6 week membership on time. Spoke to the office personnel and returned my pass key. They have continued billing me ever since taking $39 a month out of my account for MANY months. When I went in the correct this problem . . . the owner folded her hands on her desk and simply said "good-bye". Not a single offer to return the funds I paid. This is a true Scam operation. BEWARE

Anytime Fitness closing

Anytime Fitness, Conway SC drafted my November payment, then proceeded to close down the center after the drafts hed come out. The e-mail had the owners pone number on it but, you guessed it, he does not answer and his mailbox is full. Calls to ABC were useless but I did find out that corporate has told the NOT to refund anyones money. Corporate maintains that the local owner receives all of the money and they have nothing to do with it. It is not their fault. Everyone involved with this has treated me like I am the one at fault for wanting my money back and can not beleive that I am even asking for it. This place is a joke. DO NOT DRAFT WITH THEM. EVER
