Our experience with Apex Roofing and Restoration has overall been very positive
Our experience with Apex Roofing and Restoration has overall been very positive. Customer Service is obviously important to them which means all of your questions and concerns are addressed. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. It definitely took more time to complete the job than we expected, however it was worth the extra time. There were instances when we were a bit confused as to who to contact given the question we had at that moment. Bottom line is they are a large company with many resources and there is good and less good that comes with that. Everyone we spoke with truly is an expert in their field and at their job. You just have to be patient and let the process work. Again, that may mean that you talk to a couple more people than you may in a smaller organization, however it was absolutely worth it. Our high expectations have been met, and we have received a number of positive comments from friends and neighbors. We have had one of them reroof their home with Apex, and they are also very happy with the end result. I am thankful that we chose Apex, and am happy to recommend them.
OBVIOUS FAKE REVIEWS!
OBVIOUS FAKE REVIEWS! Someone used my HUSBAND'S NAME to write a fake review. Many of the reviews here are worded exactly the same or include an "A++" on the end which shows it's FAKE! This company is HORRIBLE-- We've been dealing with them for a year now (even though our lawsuit against our insurance company is what took up a lot of the time.) They are very slow to get back to you and it's like pulling teeth to get a call back or any help with issues that arise before and after the repair. The agents don't know what's going on half the time and tell you what you want done is in the work order but it NEVER gets done! We have YET to see our work order after demanding it many times! They use non-English-speaking workers who installed our roof in the rain (I'm told this can VOID our shingles warranty!) We were told we would have flashing around our chimney just like we did before, and they did NOT place any flashing. And we were told someone would be out to install gutters that they RIPPED OFF and didn't replace, however, NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS now that we have our roof installed! The Complaintsboard.com should investigate and remove the OBVIOUS FAKE REVIEWS, especially the review with my husband's name! AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!
Very professional. Well pleased. Jack was the inspector. Pleased with workmanship.
Outstanding job they were quick and professional nice grew thanks.
Apex was very professional and works well with customer needs especially with convenience of times.
Did a good job on time in only two days
We were very concerned about our roofing situation and needs
We were very concerned about our roofing situation and needs. It is, after all, a big job and important to the value of our home. After spending many weeks extensively researching several companies, their products, and asking a zillion questions, we decided on APEX. And we were not disappointed. They were very detailed on what they were going to do and how they were going to do it. They answered every question (more than once!). They were on time and thorough during and after. The preparation and protection to our yard was very impressive and the clean-up after was flawless. The sales team, office staff, and the workers and leader on the job were always courteous. They made sure that any question or concerns of ours were immediately addressed. And no question was too trivial to get a response. I would (and have) recommend them to friends and family. And unlike other companies, I'm not being compensated for my review. I'd just want my friends and family to get the best company and the best roof they can and have no regrets as to who they used. APEX also offers an excellent warranty - though I seriously doubt we'll ever need to call on it. And the best warranty is the one you never need. Talk to Dan. Talk to Rachel. Do your homework and ask all your questions. They don't just sell roofs. They make friends.
Great service. Very customer oriented. Good people to deal with.
I have never worked with a contractor that has kept me informed as well as Apex Roofing. That is from the material drop off date, start date, completion, sign off, & final inspection. At my age I hope I never have to reroof again, but if I do, I WILL DEFINITELY USE APEX ROOFING. Guy We - Kissimmee, Fl
Apex roofing worked with my insurance company and did a great job. My roof looks great, my yard is clean. I really enjoyed working with the crew.
They did a great job. I have no complaints. Good experience
I had a very bad experience with this company and would never recommend them
I had a very bad experience with this company and would never recommend them. The English-speaking employees in management and customer service talk a good game, but they force the customer to deal with a crew that only speaks Spanish. When the crew was supposing done with my roof, they left supplies--rolls of tar paper, cans of roofing cement, box of nails, and 8 sheets of plywood--indiscriminately laying all over my grass and driveway. Whiling placing these items neatly in a central place on my driveway, I found 7 nails (on my driveway) waiting to puncture one of my car tires. More important, they left the area around my house full of garbage and did not clean (sweep or blow) the millions of dirt specs caused from replacing my roof. My back patio and everything on it, along with my screened back roof, as well as my front walkway and driveway were left filthy. When I complained, I got lots of apologies, but no corrective action; it took more than a day for a crew to stop by to clean, but the men were looking for me to tell them what to do and supervise them. Unfortunately, I do not speak Spanish and they did not speak English. More important, they came at night when it was difficult to see, only one of the 4 had something to clean with, and I smelled alcohol on at least one of the 4 crew members. I had to send them away and ended up cleaning the area around my house myself the next day. With such demonstration of unprofessionalism, I hate to think what poor work this company did on my roof--time will tell. I strongly urge you to go elsewhere if you need a new roof.
Apex was amazing. We had to battle our insurance company for 3 years. Apex stood by our side the entire time. With their help we won our case and we have a new roof with no out of pocket expenses. And the roof is great also!
Antonio was great about making sure all was done well. The only concern was the nails coming from the roof when it rained. The crew was respectful. Donna D
Great job and great cleanup. Worked long hours. Jack was also great.
First off, I never contacted this company
First off, I never contacted this company. They came to me looking for a sale. At the beginning, I told them that I was not interested in their services, as I thought that my roof was fine. Well, turns out that I did need a new roof after all. So I got back in contact with Apex Roofing and Restoration. After months of waiting, I FINALLY had my roof replaced. But it took a LOT of phone calls and THREATS to make this happen... I am EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with the service this company provides. My roof has been replaced since the end of April , it is now the end of May . I have yet to have the roof inspected. I have called to inquire about this on several different occasions, with no resolution in sight. I have let them know that I am in the precarious position of no longer having homeowners insurance. Apparently they do not care. They know that I cannot get new homeowners insurance without the CRITICAL step of the inspection... Upper management leaves a lot to be desired... It does virtually no good to contact the corporate office, as they are as neglectful as the regional office when it come to getting things done for their customer. When it comes to communication, they are sub-par. If I don't call the office from time to time with inquiries, I will NEVER hear from them regarding my issues. I have to say, sadly...that I CANNOT in good conscience recommend this company. In fact, if someone from APEX ROOFING AND RESTORATION comes knocking...do not answer the door. I am hoping to be able to re-[censored] and reevaluate this survey in the very near future. Time will tell, and hopefully not too much of it.
The city inspector would have signed off and pics sent into insurance company or no one would have ever been paid by ins company for claim...
Apex Roofing replaced our roof in the spring of 2019
Apex Roofing replaced our roof in the spring of 2019. The initial quote was given in a professional and timely matter and the price quoted was 8488.75. Our roof was replaced within a day of starting and the workmanship was good. I did have to ask them to come back and redo a crooked section, which they did with no problem. In the fall of 2019 I applied for a home equity loan. I was completely surprised when a lien on my house was discovered. Apex had put a lien on my house as my insurance company had not paid yet. I called Apex and was told that the insurance company refused to pay. I then called my insurance company only to be told that Apex had upped the price to over 24,000. I then called Apex and they told me the extra money was supplements added and they would not discuss this with me. Now Apex did not add or do anything extra from the original quote but they almost tripled the price. I was told by my insurance agency that this was something that Apex did on a regular basis. So why did the insurance company deal with this company? This I do not know the answer to. There was a lien on my house which I was not notified about and the roofing company refused to talk to me. My husband did talk to Apex's lawyer several times and he was told that it was in litigation and the lien would be removed once the insurance company paid. My loan fell through as a result of this lien. Finally after several months my insurance did pay a total of 19,284.52. I asked Apex what the additional charges were and I could not get an answer. Please be careful with this company as they are as shifty as they come with questionable work ethics.
I should have know better than to respond to a door solicitation
I should have know better than to respond to a door solicitation. On October 23, I unfortunately listened to the scam sales person from Apex Roofing and Restoration say that there was hail damage on my roof and they would help me submit a claim to my insurance company for a new roof. On November 11, that claim was denied and it has been a nightmare and giant void with Apex Roofing and Restoration ever since. As of today, April 20, there has been no resolution yet I am stuck in a "contract" with this company. They tarped areas of the roof where there was no issue. The tarp was in such a bad condition that is literally blew apart and off the roof. I had to ask them to come out to remove it as it was hanging off my roof. I was not given updates from April 20 until April 13 even when I contacted them. Then after calling and indicating that I did not wish to proceed any further, I was told in a phone message on April 13, that the case was "set for trial" yet no trial date was available. When I called on April 20 and, after speaking to two other individuals, an individual by the name of Grey Gaines gave me the run around again. Oh, Grey would get back to me. I indicated that I wanted out of this agreement and, somehow, the call was "disconnect" and Mr. Gaines then did not answer when I called back. I then received an email from another individual, Alex Graham, saying that there are "legal fees accrued and tarping costs" and that they would "keep me apprised" of the case.
The attorney allegedly representing me on this matter is Robert ***. I have never heard from his office.
I am unable to escape this Apex trap. This means that I am unable to get new insurance or move forward with getting the actual work that needs to be done on my roof completed.
My advise - Do not do business with this company.
So Monday, I received a solicitation knock on my door, offering free roof inspection
So Monday, I received a solicitation knock on my door, offering free roof inspection. I thought, sure, why not? So they come over, do the inspection, and of course find damage. They go into the whole thing, about how the insurance company handles it, it only costs your deductible, and I wasnt sure. I didnt know my deductible, and didnt want to proceed until i had checked my policy. They ensure me its no big deal, just pre-fill out the papers, and contact us with the info when youre ready, and we will proceed. Come Wednesday, i get a notice from my insurance company that a claim had been filed. So they went BEHIND MY BACK to get my insurance information, I had NOT told them to proceed, and they did it anyway. I contacted my insurance company IMMEDIATELY to notify them, to let them know it was NOT a valid claim and to cancel it. I than contacted Apex, and a nice lady agreed to cancel it on their end as well. What was troubling was she didnt even flinch, like she got that call 10 times a day. I then left a review on Google. One of their I believe customer service people called me, and tried to say "oh we had a signed paper.." and i told her what her people told me, how they werent going to proceed. So they either train their employees to lie, or this batch should be fired. THEN i get ANOTHER call, an hour later, from the guy who was on my roof. Who then again "Well we had a signed paper..." and again i told him NO, YOU YOURSELF told me you wouldnt proceed and it wouldnt start anything until i gave my information. Who then tried to claim he WASNT the guy on my roof. Who had a distinct voice, whos guy handed me his card and pointed to him and said "this is HIS card, he's the main guy". So again, either that guy was lying or that crew was lying. This has been a horrible experience. And i swear if you call me again, you WILL hear from my lawyer about harassing me. People have a right to know what your employees are doing.

I was greeted at the door by a gentleman who announced himself as an employee of Apex Roofing
I was greeted at the door by a gentleman who announced himself as an employee of Apex Roofing. He then asked if he could go on my roof and do an inspection because he could see damage from the street. As I knew there were some visible areas where the roof had been repaired I agreed. Once he completed the inspection he stated he thought he could get my roof replaced through insurance at no cost to me. I was then told that I could qualify for some exemption from my deductible through my veterans benefit and by placing a sign in my yard, and by completion of these surveys. The process took little time to be approved by my insurance company and several months for them to actually show up again to sign the contracts and get the permits pulled. As far a workmanship and quality I have no issues. When I actually spoke with people from Apex they were very polite and professional. The communication was lacking for the most part and I was never really sure when things were happening. My gutters had to be removed due to the installation and I did receive new ones in the end. It took almost 2 months from the install to get them in. I had to have repairs done on my pool pump because the gutters that were taken down allowed the rain water to funnel directly on to the pump shorting it out. I never received a call or email telling me when they would be replaced, I just came home one day from work and they were up. Again it was quality work but no communication. About a month later I received a call stating that they wanted to settle up the account and that I owed almost $1600.00. My deductible is only a thousand and we had made an agreement on how that was going to be handled. I spoke with a rep from the office and she told me that they had to use 5 extra sheets of plywood so I had to pay the difference. Not sure how that works as that's why they call it a deductible. She stated " sir you signed and initialed the contract". That practice is legal but I wold call it questionable at best. I am happy with my roof and I will pay the difference. If you use please read the fine print.

Failure to return multiple phone messages due to poor quality control
I have reached out to my company representative multiple times, giving her at least two weeks to respond.
I’ve heard nothing from anyone after calling to complain about a weed eater type sound coming from my low profile attic vent, it can be heard through out my home with around 20 mph winds. I’m concerned that during a hurricane I may lose that vent and receive damage to my home.

I had a AOB contract with Apex. A settlement was reached and the check sent to Apex. There is a $*** cancellation fee. APEX has had the check for 2 months and refuses to take their $*** out and Mail me the difference. If I borrowed $*** to get the check released Wells Fargo would not refund my $***. This check requires four signatures. Apex states I must speak to a manager who will not accept or return my call. I am getting the run around for 2 months.
In October , a hurricane damaged our home in Alabama, causing a tree to fall.
In October , a large tree fell on our home in Alabama due to a hurricane. Previously, we had our roof done by APEX Roofing, so we reached out for repairs. It was challenging to get a response or commitment to the job. Each call ended with excuses of oversight. We spoke to several representatives, concerned about further damage from rain and ice. Despite the urgency, they only arrived for repairs in April , five months later. Eventually, we hired another company to complete the work, as APEX was unresponsive and failed to address all the damage. A simple update from them would have clarified their limited service scope. We never signed off on the job completion due to these issues.

On 03 April 2022 I signed an Assignment of Benefits (AOB) with Apex Roofing. In accordance with Florida law, I have 14 days to cancel the AOB, and on 12 April 2022 I called Apex Roofing to cancel it. I was told by the answering service that they would send my information to the appropriate branch of the company and I would be contacted shortly. No one from Apex called me on 12 April. I called again on 13 April 2022 and again on 14 April, 2022, speaking with a different agent each time and being told each time that someone would contact me soon. I also emailed a written and signed document stating that I am canceling the assignment of benefits to Apex at the email address on their website on 13 April, and I asked for acknowledgment of receipt. I have not received an email response. I am filing this complaint because Apex Roofing has refused thus far to acknowledged my cancelation of the Assignment of Benefits and has not issued the reassignment of benefits back to me.

Apex Roofing came soliciting to our home on 4/14/22
Apex Roofing came soliciting to our home on 4/14/22. They offered to inspect our roof at no charge. They found so called damages, said we needed new roof. They did not give us an estimate on what they would charge to put on a new roof. Said they would handle everything with the insurance company and if insurance company would not agree to pay for a new roof then Apex would start litigation against them. We signed an assignment of benefits form which we did not see the agreement until after we signed on a tablet. We called Apex on 4/18/22 to cancel the contract/assignment of benefits/direct deposit authorization and hold harmless agreement. Apex asked us for an email requesting cancellation. We sent email with cancellation request as they asked on 4/18/22. Katherine said she would be sending reassignment of benefits form to us right then 4/18/22. They have not sent anything us to us, no correspondance, nothing. We have sent emails every day and called with no response. The only thing we want from Apex is confirmation of our cancellation and reassignment of benefits. Our insurance company is also requesting this info from us. I would also like to say that Apex told us many untruths when they were at our home.

We contracted with Apex to get a new roof and gutters. They are not communicating with us. Have not heard when our roof will get replaced and are not answer phone calls or emails.
I filed an insurance claim in early 2020 for roof damage
I filed an insurance claim in early 2020 for roof damage. Insurance denied the claim. Signed an AOB. I want to be released from Apex due to that my roofing case is beyond the specified 6-12 month timeline(see attached letter signed 2/24), it's going to be almost 2 years and this business has not done anything to help me besides just putting Tarps. These are the reasons why I don't want to work anymore with Apex: *Poor communication and customer service (see attached email asking for multiple updates and being ignored). *I was pressured to sign an AOB again and pay the full pre settlement build roof amount, if not Apex won't be doing the roof for the pre settlement build. I never received biweekly notices as stated on the signed 2/24 letter. *This situation has caused tremendous amount of stress, anxiety and a lot of personal problems in my household. *My HOA has sent me two notices. I'm going to get fined if this doesn't get resolved. I've contacted Apex and the attorneys about this matter and nothing was done about it. This has turned out to be a nightmare and I would not recommend anyone to this company. If they are a good and honest company that looks up to the customer needs, they would release me so I can replace the roof on my own.

Apex Roofing was hired to do the roof on my house. They filed a lien against my property. Roof was completed and they were paid in full. As of today,I still do not have my release of lien even though they were paid in full many months ago. I have called numerous times to get it and get nothing but a run around. I WANT MY RELEASE OF LEIN ON MY PROPERTY! Since I keep getting a runaround I will share my experiences with Apex Roofing every change I get. They are NOT PROFESSIONAL!

I signed an "Hold Harmless Agreement", with Apex roofing, dated Mar 15, 2022 when their representatives indicated that there was roof damage
I signed an "Hold Harmless Agreement", with Apex roofing, dated Mar 15, 2022 when their representatives indicated that there was roof damage. This was an electronic signature upon a tablet. After serval inquires to get a digital copy of the agreement, I realized that I was shown only the first page of a 4 page document. In addition my signature and initials appeared on pages that I was never show. On Mar 17, 2022 I contacted and Apex representative indicating the above and that I wish to cancel the agreement. I sent an email upon her request indicating my wishes to cancel and why. A follow up phone call on Mar 18, 2022, having been told that everything has been canceled, I asked for written confirmation in the form of an email and/or a signed release form. As today Mar 23, 2022 I have not yet received this written confirmation even after daily phone calls and follow up email messages. I have contacted my insurance company *** (Claim XXXXXX) to keep them in the loop of my actions with Apex. I believe that I have complied with not only the agreement "YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS AGREEMENT WITHOUT PENALTY WITHIN 14 DAYS AFTER THIS AGREEMENT IS EXECUTED" and the Florida law (3 day to cancel) As APEX has not complied with my request for written confirmation of the cancellation and has ignored my calls and emails I felt I have no choice to file this complaint. We were provided the incorrect shingles and drip edge
We were provided the incorrect shingles and drip edge. Work is still not complete. We have chimney still unpainted and our leaf guards not installed. 2 days before installation we received a call the shingles we picked were not available and we settled on others to keep the job moving forward. This took several calls to get someone to the house to show us what we had available to us. Among other things a white drip edge was installed, we have a brown house. No one in their right mind would have chosen white on brown yet we were told we signed the contract that said we selected these. Someone where in the 50 pages we apparently selected a white drip edge. As of today we still have an unpainted chimney land lead guards that were on our gutters laying to the side of the house. We were told that our house would be put back the way they found it. 3 months later, we have leaf guards sitting, waiting to be reinstalled (as fall comes to fill them and hurricanes come around dumping buckets of water in the monthly). We have a chimney unpainted, we have a white drip edge that was said to be replaced but has not. A sample shingle that nobody has bothered to come and get AND our insurance companies check that is Apex' once they finish the job or tell us that they won't. Should it be the latter we are happy to complete all the outstanding items ourselves and send the checks back to our insurance company to avoid having filed a claim. In all this time, the last time we heard from anyone was in Sept saying they would fix the drip edge and the QA guy who came the day after install. Strange time to come and ask how it went if the jobs not even done. The dumpster wasn't even gone yet.

In June I hired Apex Roofing to replace my roof
In June I hired Apex Roofing to replace my roof. Included in the package was replacing my gutters. The company Apex contracted was, *** Seamless Gutters, resulted in poor installation and work performance. My new gutters leak and it is creating a pool of water in my patio area. Specifically, when installing the rear super gutter they covered the smaller side gutter so the rain hits the wall of the super gutter and is redirected into the soffets. They should have left space for the rain to fall into the lower gutter and run to the downspout. When I brought this to Apex's attention that is when my frustration began. Apex came up with excuses after excuses on why they are not responsible even though it is their name on the paperwork. First they claim since it was not their company they are not responsible. Second, they claim that if I want the gutter re-installed that is "extra" work which I would have to pay for. When I had the gutter company out they acknowledged the leak and blamed Apex claiming the leak is from Apex's poor roof replacement. *** Seamless Gutters tried a cheap, quick fix by puttin a clump of caulking where the wall of the super gutter meets the roof, hoping that would re-direct the water. That did not work. When I called Apex back they took the position that "the gutter probably leaked before, so it is ok for it to leak now". Besides the fact it did not leak before, new gutters are not suppose to leak. Now I requested all copies of all papwork and photo about the work involved in my roof. Needless to say Apex is being very uncooperative. So I am preparing to *** Apex which I do not want to do. If Complaintsboard.com can help I would certainly appreciate it.

Sometime in October Apex was surveying our neighborhood and giving quotes to replace roofs in the area
Sometime in October Apex was surveying our neighborhood and giving quotes to replace roofs in the area. We received a quote for around ***, which they told us they would get with our insurance provider in order to get the roof replaced due to the type of damages that were present. At that point, our claim was forwarded to an attorneys office which was referred to us through Apex. We no longer heard a word from Apex and our phone calls were left unreturned on several occasions. Upon completion of the settlement, we suddenly started receiving phone calls from Apex and were instructed to to sign the documents as soon as possible. When we began to discuss the quoted price, Apex had severely increased their quote from *** to now totaling more than ***. We had taken the time to shop around for quotes from several other companies that were significantly less than what Apex was attempting to recover. There is only one word for this type of activity, GREED! At this time, we realized that Apex was not being transparent and truthful in providing information or documentation throughout the claim process regarding our roof replacement and these significant changes in the quoted price for the roof replacement. On April 11th, we received, signed and returned a release document which included an agreement to pay a cancellation fee to Apex and then would be forwarded to our insurance company by Apex in order to have them removed from the settlement check. It is now April 27th and the documents releasing Apex still have not been submitted to our insurance company. This has inhibited our ability to claim our settlement check and the funds required to begin replacing our roof with a new and more professional company.

Here's the sequence of events: 1
Here's the sequence of events: 1. I signed the agreement 04/15. 2. My calls regarding progress were not returned. 3. The permit wasn't even pulled until 09/21 and only after I got a hold of a live secretary. 4. I kept calling to ask when the work would be done and there was no answer until they sent a letter the week before they were to have begun the work. 5. I was told that materials would be delivered 10/15 and work would start on 10/18. 6. The materials were finally delivered 10/25. 7. I had been told that I would be contacted ahead of time to move my car. They did not contact me and when I walked out to try to go to the store 10/26 the dumpster was in front of my garage door with my car trapped inside. It wasn't removed until 10/28, even though I contacted them the same day it was put there. 8. They finally began work 10/27. 9. The roofers broke the drain pipe from the gutter and have given no response to my requests to have it fixed. It wasn't even on the roof, but on the side of my lanai. 10. They ripped up the edging around my walkways. 11. They took down my satellite dish and dumped it on the ground. I'll have to pay $50 to DTV to have it fixed. I've already paid $150 to take down the solar panels since they wouldn't do it. 12. They left a very large and heavy piece of plywood in front of my house which partially blocked my walkway. It still has not been taken away. A guy came and moved it aside after two days of my reporting it. He did not bring a large enough truck to take it away. 13. I called the company on 10/28 and left a message regarding these issues that has not been replied to. I told my case manager 13. We contracted Apex Roofing to replace our roof thru an insurance claim in late 2018
We contracted Apex Roofing to replace our roof thru an insurance claim in late 2018. They installed our new roof on 1-4-2019. After the roof install was complete we ended up with 3 flat tires from nails that they had missed. About a month later when the first storm rolled in we found out that our new roof makes a flapping noise when the wind blows just right. We contacted Apex and they sent a tech out. The tech heard the noise and attributed it to the soffit vibrating when the wind blew and left me to deal with it since this was not in their scope of work. I continued troubleshooting and determined it is not the soffit. Contacted Apex again and they sent another tech out. This time the tech blamed the noise on the vinyl siding of the house. We played this game for another 2+ years and they continue to blame everything but the work they performed. Now that we are 3 years post roof replacement my roof is still flapping and keeping us awake at night and Apex continues to blame everything but the roof even though that is the only thing left and I have video proof showing the bottom row of shingles vibrating in the breeze. I contacted another roofing company and they came to take a look. They informed me that the roof was not installed properly and does not meet building code. Drip edge is a building code requirement and none was installed. Also, the bottom row of shingles were cut too short. The short shingles will allow wind and moisture to get under the edge of the roof and create a lot of problems. I have been in touch with the "Head of Customer Experience" at Apex, ***, but after calling these items to his attention it has been radio silence. Currently waiting to hear back from Apex and have the city out to complete an overdue final inspection. Apex should do the right thing here and stand behind their work and honor their warranty. This issue needs to be resolved and it needs to be resolved sooner rather than later.

This company is a complete disaster to deal with
This company is a complete disaster to deal with. Your calls go to a call center and no one calls you back for weeks at a time. Company tried several times unsuccessfully to patch leaks until my roof was replaced. They removed tiles from my roof in December to patch a leak and never put the tiles back until the roof was replaced in October . After the roof was finished, a 32 foot extension ladder showed up so that the county could do the final inspection. The same day that the ladder showed up, a section of soffit went missing. Can't really pin this on Apex, but it definitely happened the day the ladder showed up, as I had gone around the house with another contractor the day prior for a gutter bid. I called at least 5 times and went down to their Fort Myers office about the ladder and the soffit. They kept telling me it wasn't their ladder anchored to my house. I finally ended up paying someone else to take down the ladder and fix the soffit. 5 weeks after reporting this the problem, someone called me to schedule the soffit fix and come get the ladder, which someone had finally come and picked up a week earlier. Now the title company from my refinance called me and said that Apex had put a contractor lien on my house for a balance due. I paid the full amount of my contract in 2 payments, 50% after the tear off and 50% after installation. When I made the 2nd payment, the AR person confirmed the balance was paid in full. Of course that person no longer works for the company and the people who refused to sign the lien release for the title company are not returning my calls. Please do not be fooled by the overwhelming amount of 5 star reviews like I was. Apex offers to pay you for certain things to reduce your insurance deductible, such as putting their sign in your yard and leaving 5 star reviews. I will say that the people they subbed out the actual roof work to did a great job. I wish I would have just hired them in the first place.

In June I contracted with Apex Roofing and Restoration for a new roof
In June I contracted with Apex Roofing and Restoration for a new roof. My insurance company issued a check for half the estimated cost, the balance to be paid upon completion of the job. Because we have solar panels, my contact at Apex told me to arrange for the solar panel removal and reinstallation and assured me that my expenses for the solar panel work would be part of the insurance claim, reimbursed once the job was done and the claim settled. The roofing work was done 9/17. On 10/21 I received a copy of a letter sent to Apex from my insurance company, requesting paperwork needed from Apex. It read, "We are in receipt of your request for a supplement with regard to Mr. and Mrs. ----------'s roof estimate. An email was sent to you on four occasions requesting the Eagleview or whatever source used to determine the size of the roof and a receipt for the permit fee. To date the request has gone unanswered. Please respond to this request so we can process any additional supplement warranted. If we do not receive a response, the claim will be closed." I forwarded that letter to Apex and received no response. On 10/29 I received a copy of a followup message from the insurance carrier, saying the paperwork still had not been received and the file was being closed. I forwarded that letter to my contact at Apex with an urgent request for action. A week later I received a response saying that the carrier's letter was standard practice and had been sent prematurely. In mid-November I contacted the insurance company for advice. I was told that Apex routinely makes money by delaying and suing the carrier, who then settles, and that if I provided invoices for the solar panel work and evidence that the roof work was done, the claim could be paid. Right away, I received checks for the balance of the original roofing estimate and solar work, payable to me and Apex. I forwarded those checks to Apex on 12/8, two months ago, and have still received nothing.

I felt like I was scammed from the moment I opened the door
I felt like I was scammed from the moment I opened the door. I had a gentleman from Apex Roofing in Tampa, telling me they was in the neighborhood doing roof inspections, can they inspect mine. They also stated they could get me a roof with little to no money out of pocket if I had damage. I said you can look at it if you want. A couple weeks later a salesman shows up, with shingle samples. he tried to get me to sign a power of attorney to deal with my insurance and leave me out of the loop. I was not comfortable with that, he said we wont start anything then until you send a check in, if you get one. After 90 days , I heard nothing, I see an email to my insurance company asking for the supplemental claim for the roof. I responded and asked how is this taking place , when I have heard from nobody about anything. A few days later a guy named Josh called me. The conversation ended up very rude, and I no longer wanted anything to do with the company after being treated like that. There was no work started, he even stated that they didn't even carry in stock, what I was originally interested in. 60 days after that, I receive a phone call stating I owe $*** to break contract. I am requesting that there be no fees, since no work was completed, and a statement saying they have no rights to a insurance claim so my insurance can close out the claim. I feel the company strategy is to pressure people to sign stuff then they treat you ever how they want and if you don't like it, they want to come after you or your insurance for money they didn't earn. Over 20 years in the military, I have never let people disrespect me and I should have to start now. I do sales now, and I couldn't imagine speaking to a customer the way he spoke to me and then expect to get paid for work that didn't even begin to start. I feel for anyone who opens the door to them, they will endure the same nightmare. I hope this can be resolved and I hope the company can change their tactics.

We had roof damage from Irma 2 years after our home was built
We had roof damage from Irma 2 years after our home was built. Two Apex representatives offered with well-practiced lines that they would file the claim with the insurance company, and if the insurance company balked Apex would engage a law firm to negotiate a settlement. And since we had already incurred costs to repair lanai cage damage from Irma, they repeatedly emphasized that the amount of the lanai repair ($***) would be applied against our insurance deductible ($***). However, their appointed law firm reached a settlement with the insurance company that negotiated away the lanai storm costs we had incurred earlier, leaving us with the full $*** deductible, not $*** per their representatives' claim. But it gets much worse. We chose a tile color for our new roof, but the one they put on (April 28), while largely the color we chose, contains a second considerably different color scattered randomly across the roof. Apex told us that it would take a year of weather for an "efflorescence phenomenon" to occur after which the tiles would be uniform. In the meantime, we were to accept and live with a ridiculous looking roof. We initially declined to pay the $*** demanded to cover the deductible (we never had any direct insurance company involvement) until the tile discoloration issue was resolved. In response, and without any discussion, they filed a lien against our property, forcing us to pay the $*** to avoid an adverse credit rating. (They maintain that they are prohibited from covering the deductible, which seems like good law, but could have provided us with a similar good faith credit from their profits until the issue was resolved.) Furthermore, the gutters they installed vibrate with the wind causing an obnoxious noise. Apex has been contacted on the gutters and notified that a year is nearly up to examine the discoloration of the tiles. There has been no response to numerous emails or calls. They have our money; we have a very bad product.

I have had a terrible experience with APEX and will never recommend it to any of my friends or family
I have had a terrible experience with APEX and will never recommend it to any of my friends or family. I have been patiently waiting on APEX for over a year now to have my roof replaced, and have gotten nowhere. It has gotten so bad, that I feel the need to write my first review ever and warn others about what really goes on with this company. In December, they sent a random representative knocking on my door saying they could process my roof through my insurance. I was already planning on replacing my roof in the upcoming months, so I went ahead with the process. It is now February 2022, I have been suffering with a leaking roof for the last 9 months. When this initially happened I called APEX and they sent someone out to put a tarp on the roof for $1600. They did a terrible installation job, in less than 30 days half of it was flapping around in the air and I was back to water leaking in my house. I constantly reached out for them for over a month with no one getting back to me. After 2 months a lawyer was able to get ahold of them. APEX came out again, re-tarped the roof, and charged my account $3000. Double the original price to come out and fix the bad job they did in the first place. I tried reaching out to them for a few more months to get an update on my case and they were no help at all. Their exact words was "We have not been able to get ahold of your the lawyer we assigned to your case, so you just have to wait for now, we will let you know when we hear something". I received that same back and fourth for the last 10 months. In December , I complained to them about the about how my living conditions are affected, the interior areas that suffered from the leaking roof has started to rot and form bits of mold. APEX sent their people to my house a few weeks later (the beginning of January 2022), they did absolutely nothing, they walked around on the roof, took pictures of the existing tarp they placed their a few months back, and charged my acc

Apex Roofing did a wonderful job replacing my roof. It was a seamless process. They handled all insurance correspondence and kept me in the loop the whole time. I actually had my premium decrease because roof replacement quality was so good, a Secondary synthetic water barrier got me mitigation credits. Thank you Apex!

Apex done a very great job and in a timely manner, very professional workers, everything was clean when they left.
Jack was very professional, and was very good to deal with!
Apex roofing did a great job replacing the shingles. They did not do any flashing. When it was brought to their attention, they did a terrible job and the flashing looks bad. Tried to get them to fix it and they made it worse. There was a large rain down pour during the shingle replacement and had numerous water leaks that stained the ceiling inside. Apex said it was old stain leaks and offered no compensation for repair. Essentially implied I lied! Do not hire them !
Wonderful service! Everyone at Apex was Great. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a new roof.
