Asda Stores bullying staff

We were regular customers at Asda and have spent lots of money there. A couple of months ago, they did a campaign "spend more than £40 and have £5 off when you shop next". We were happy to enter our data online and receive the voucher. When we wanted to claim it we weren't allowed to as there was some small print: you need the original receipt. We didn't have it anymore, so we offered to show on our bank account that we indeed had spent the money in Asda which would go conformed with the voucher which had all the needed data on it. The shop assistant at the self-check out accused as to be liars and cheaters and was very agitated. When the security manager was then called, he stepped in for her and behaved in a very unprofessional way and started shouting and also insulting us. He admitted that it would have been within his digression to let us have the £5 off which we were entitled to, but he chose not to. The situation got more and more out of hand and the staff behaved unprofessionally. We left the shop and decided complain at Asda headquarters. We received a very ill-spellled letter back from our local Asda in which the security manager said that he had investigated the matter and that we would be banned from Asda due to bullying.
I have two concerns now: Firstly, how come the security manager can investigate in an incident in which he was involved and make a decision as a judge as well as participant? Secondly, how can Asda headquarters delegate the matter to the local shop when we have asked for their help? The letter also stated that we are banned from the shop.
As it is our local Asda, we went back to shop yesterday only to be threatened with a call to the Police!
What kind of customer care is this? I am appalled at Asda which I have always considered as the top one of the big 4. Asda has bullying and insulting stuff and sticks up for them. We are disgusted! The staff was bullying us!

Asda Stores Glasses

I went with a prescription for vari-focal glasses and was checked by the optician to whom I explained my requirement in detail that I wanted glasses for work that I could use to read at my desk, see my computer monitor and look at a display board 3m away. I waited ten days for glasses that were totally wrong but told I would 'get used to them'. After 3 weeks of having to move my head up down and left right to read anything I took them back. (With a sore neck and constant headaches). Another pair were ordered and a further ten days required for them to be sent. Still no good as I could read but no see further than the monitor. Both fitting occasions I had to wait half an hour for someone to serve me, as at weekends there is only one person on duty and no optician on a Sunday. Their solution: 'Drop by and we'll refund you and go elsewhere and pay more for proper lenses'. Two fittings, two sets of totally wrong lenses, one rude manager equals one recommendation, 'go some where else to start with.
ps whilst waiting I found mouldy tomatoes on the shelf so I wouldn't recommend the fruit and veg either.

sent them back remarked
got them back both paires still blurry hurting my eyes
was told they would retest my eyes waited 2 weeks when I got there he said theres nothing wrong with my eyes without retesting and was told to pick another frame as the width of the frame was causeing the problem
I picked another frame sent them of got them back still blurry
a lady in store who asda had brought in said my previous pair was the worst pair she had seen the lens had been squashed in and distorting the lens and the sanding was a bad job too ...very poorly made so if this lady hadn't been there who was very experienced I wouldn't have found out how very poorly asda glasses are, im still waiting for the pair to come back...what I want to know is why didn't asdas people who work there pick up on this I feel I have been fobbed of with excuses as to why I couldn't see when I knew all along they were poorly made they were telling me it was normal and I knew it wasn't so I feel I have been banging my head against a brick wall.since january..I really would like a refund as I feel I have lost all trust I don't want glasses poorly made there was another man with the same complaint when I was there and he too was being fobbed of ..I pick 2 paires and a pair of sunglasses all rubbish would like a refund please

Asda Stores cancellation of my delivery without notice

ASDA cancelled my grocery home delivery and not even had the courtesy to inform me. In fact they lied to me in that I was was told yesterday that the order was on the way. It was only when I phoned them this morning that the told me they could not deliver and had arranged a refund. If I hadn't phoned them God knows when I would have realised they had decided not to bother. New years resolution "never darken ASDA's door again". LIARS

Got to the check out to a very unfriendly lady Carole, till 11, this morning 20-08-2015 wouldn't pass bags. No please or thank you. Didn't ask if we needed help with packing. Which we did, as my mum has just come out of hospital after a heart attack, plus has a really bad back.

Asda Stores Customer Service

I ordered an online shopping delivery on 24.11.12 for delivery on the 25.11.12 between 6pm & 8pm. at 8:05pm still no delivery, i phoned the service centre and was told to phone back at 830pm so i did. Still no shopping, next person could not contact anyone at the store, the 3rd person i contacted had the store contact the driver and call me back in which they did, where i was told that the driver could not get in, and nor get a hold of me when asda had been calling my mobile without a problem this whole time.
After being told by the service team that according to the system my order was in the van for delivery but the store tells me that all the drivers were back now and home for the night.

during the delivery time requested i was in my study (which is next to the front door) the entire time waiting to make it wouldn't be missed and my flat looks out onto the street.
My girlfriend had a delivery here on Wednesday which we had no issues with.
This is now the second time in a row this has happened, Last time i waited until 1130pm because i was assured my shopping would be delivered and then found out when i complained in at this time that it was marked as "delivered" and was then found in the office!. I was promised a delivery the next morning, there was no delivery by lunchtime. I then was told at 130pm there was a van problem and someone would deliver it in a car within 30 minutes...at 330pm there was still NO DELIVERY.

it eventually took an hour to get a hold of someone and get my order cancelled and refund issued.

THIS IS ALL COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE, NEVER BEFORE HAVE I SEEN THIS KIND OF RIDICULOUS SERVICE.

this really does show that customer complaints are not paid attention too, you would think that after the first major problem that next time the store would ensure that it wouldn't happen again next time!

Asda Stores petrol excess charges

Why at ASDA petrol stations do they constantly add 1p to the price of a top up of fuel. I have started checking the cost of my top up, eg. if I stop at £20.00 by the time I walk into the shop to pay, the amount has changed to £20.01. This happens all the time. ASDA are making a fortune by basically stealing pennies from their customers.

Asda Stores bad service

yesterday sep20, i tried to return some of the items i purchased from asda direct. i followed the procedure as detailed in the collect+ facility. I put my return items in a parcel, enclosed the return invoice, and stuck the label on the parcel. i went to asda london edmonton (N9 0PN) around 2-4 pm on sep 20 to leave the parcel with them. i went to the customer service desk and dealt with lady called alexanderia there. all i could get from her were no no no. she said no they did not take in the return parcels, no cannot hand over the parcel, no did not want to follow the collect+ procedure. she very arrogantly dealt with me. i had my 4 year old child with me. also a colleague of hers supported her outside the customer service desk. she (ms a) wanted me to open the package. I could not allow that as it was not part of the return procedure. she steadfastly refused to take the parcel. as a consequence together with my toddler in tow i had to go to another of your stores who were very kind in accepting the parcel. because i had to make the extra non necessary journey i want them to recompense me with £5 that it cost me. i am happy to continue my relationship with adsa direct except the asda edmonton store on receipt of the recompense of £5 it cost me unneccessarily on their part. If they do not want my customership, then i will perfectly understand and after receiving my current order i will close my adsa direct account and go to other supermarkets like tesco, sainsbury, matalan etc, who will be pleased to get to deal with me and take my money. note that i dealt with their ms alexanderia very honourably considering the provocative no no no responses from her

Asda Stores Dangerous

It is true when they say that you get what you paid for, but to be honest even in cheap products I am sure safety comes first. I would not complain about such a cheap item but I am extremely annoyed. Bought an Asda value range toaster a few months back, I do not use very often, as the only person that liked toast was my ex partner and he left. Last night though I wanted a quick snack and put 2 slices of bread in the toaster. Luckily and thanks heavens for that, I did not go to the bathroom straight away as I intended to, in only a few seconds the toast caught fire. How? No idea. Of course that it was located very close to a socket as their wire is extremely short. What would have happened if I would have gone to the bathroom, only God knows...not concerned about me but I had my 7 months old baby sleeping in the bedroom. I do not give a damn about a refund, I just want those incredibly ignorant people to know, that even with a 50 pence item, safety still needs to be there...those products can be used by kids as well. Still shocked and thank God nothing worse happen but will definitely not use Asda anymore, not even for groceries shopping, even if they were the main store I was buying from...and will alert others about their products. Truly upset...

I reported their own brand blender to the CEO, Andrew Burnley. Got no response.

It was a nutribullet style, and the motor started without the beaker on it.

If fingers or hair got caught you'd have a serious injury. Thank god my niece just missed being so injured.

I did some shopping in a busy asda in Nuneaton, with long waits at the till, then went to the cafe with long waits and then another half hour to get out the car park. Time taken just under 3 hours so I got a fine.

The same thing happened to me. I didn't see any signs - perhaps being too busy getting my 10 week old baby in and out of the car to notice. I think it is shocking. Asda Hollingbury in Brighton is nowhere near anywhere that anyone would want to go except the supermarket, so it is absolutely ridiculous to fine people for staying too long there! It is a very large supermarket with clothing etc. So it is quite reasonable that people would take over 2 hours. And surely they would want to enocurage people to spend longer shopping and spend more money?! I spent over £170 in Asda and then get a fine for £40! What bad business sense is that?! Do they want to drive customers away - literally?! I will definitely be reluctant to ever shop there again!

Asda Stores cafe

on 10/8/12 I called into Asda Runcorn cafe for a tea and a coffee for my aunt. I requested an extra tea bag in the pot as the tea bags used are not very good quality. I would have been happy to pay an extra 10/20 pence for an extra tea bag but on querying my bill was told it was 82 pence! Is this the dearest tea bag in Britain? Had I been told I would have said forget it but was only told later. This is a disgraceful overcharge and I will not be using the facilities again although I have used the cafe 4/5 times a week in the past.

Asda Stores parking

on the 09/08/2012 at 6.25pm i pulled into asda carpark and went into the store to get a few things, as asda are under refurbishment its hard to find items so you have to ask store people who suppose to be on hand, unfortunately i couldnt find anyone straight away then the person i got could find the baking foil for me and had to go and ask someone else, i left the store after buying 3 items and arrived at my car at 6.45pm and there was a parking ticket on my windscreen due to the fact my car wheel had gone over the white line in the parking bay and i incurred a 40.00 fine...i am disgusted to think a major supermarket under refurbishment will register customers with parking tickets as pitiful as this.I WILL NEVER SHOP AT ASDA AGAIN AND NEITHER WILL ANY OF MY FAMILY...CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE LOWEST OF THE LOW...paul

I often shop at asda boldon Tyne & wear. When I do my weekly shop I always take my granny with me who is in her mid 80s and my little girl who is two. Being a 24 hour super store with cloths and a cafe it is great, nice to get my granny out the house and do a bit shopping at the same time. When I found out that asda at leechmere had expanded I thought even better closer to home. Every time I shop at asda I spend over £100 on my weekly shop, you're cafe and George clothing, that's just me alone. My granny spends around £40 just on her grocery shop. All the years I have been shopping at you're store at bolden and I have never seen A CLEAR DIPLAYED SIGN, HAD ANY NOTIFICATION OR BEEN ISSUED WITH ANY PARKING FINE WHEN I HAVE SHOPPED IN YOU'RE STORE FOR 4HOURS. I shop at asda leechmere Sunderland for 3hrs and get a £40 PARKING FINE, THIS IS DISGUSTING AFTER I SPEND SO MUCH IN YOU'RE STORE ( NOT THAT THIS SHOULD MATTER ) BUT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS A VALUED CUSTOMER ALONG WITH EVERYONE ELSE. YOU SHOULD BE CONCENTRATING GIVING TICKETS TO THE LAZY SMALL MINDED PEOPLE WHO PARK IN THE CHILD AND PARENT PARKING, WHO PARK IN THE DISABLED BAYS JUST BECAUSE THEY DRIVE A BMW X5. I WOULD LIKE TO CLEARLY STATE THAT I WOULD HAVE NO ISSUE PAYING THIS PARKING FINE IF AS I POINTED OUT EARLIER THERE WERE SIGNS TO CLEARLY STATE. AS A RESULT OF THIS I WILL SURLY BE TAKING MY CUSTOM AND MONEY ELSEWHERE. ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGED !

A number of months ago, your delivery driver fell as he was trying to get up my stairs. He and his trolley clattered through and flattened my neighbours fence.
While I felt sorry for him, I think he overloaded the trolley.
He took pictures of the damage, and advised someone would be in touch.
I have been patient given the current circumstances, but this is starting to sour relations between me and my neighbour.
Can you advise? stewart.steen@yahoo.co.uk

Asda Stores customer service

Asda car insurance are the worst ever insurance company to be insured with. i strongly advice any one considering to insure their car with asda should have their head strongly tested. i was only was insured with asda with a min um of what 4 months and from roughly €1600 i got in return €1009. when i newly insured with asda there premiers was really good, they gave us the cheapest quote and looked to be a very good deal. my car was firstly insured for €1, 135, but within a week or so i recieved a phone call from themselves due to not declaring an accident that had happened 3 year ago and additional of €518 would be add on to our car insurance. Because we were desprate and definately stupid we ended up paying the additional amount. Eventhough we payed the amount i did inform asda that the accident that we did not declare was not my partner fault, and he was hit by a 3rd party, however asda continued to state on each document that the accident was my partner fault. Asda had got even more petty that they even put that bang on middle of my partner ncd documents which i requested for our new car insurer. Asda again after a week or so emailed me again stating that they wanted another €35 because we did not count correctly the number of years my patners ncd were from. After being so daft and paying into there demands my biggest problem arose with asda when i tried insuring our new vechile, but now looking back i am so glad my eyes were finally opened to this sham of car insurer. LUCKLY i never got my new car insured with them. asda have this GOLDEN RULE, any payments made to them has to by via online, no matter what happens, if you don't have access to a computer or laptop, they not bothered, if you need your insuring asap for any reason even if its life and death they not bothered there customer service couldn't give two crap what happens they never ever ever ever ever break the golden rule. Now do you want a laugh every time you go online to pay via WORLDPAY there choosen method there system is always down and when you inform asda they state its worldpay error and when you call worldplay they say its asda error! it took me from 11am in the morning right up till 4pm that same to day to insure my new car and i still couldn't get it insured due to there system being down. That day was the worst day i ever spent trying to do a simple task, and my eyes were finally opened and i did the sensible thing by insuring my car with priveleged. Asad have put me through hell this past few months, and to cut the story short because i could easily go on and on it took me over 5 weeks and numerous phone calls to ill experienced asda staff to get my money back and even then i had to make a ### and bull story up just to get my refund. asda are a very BAD insurance company to go with they rip you off right left and center. there customer is disgusting and the way they put there information on your docouments are always incorrect no mattter how many times you inform them they NOT BOTHERED. Please who ever considers insuring there car with asdas should definately do there research, do not make the mistake that we made and put our selves through hell and back.

Asda Stores delivery times

Ordered 3 stair gates as we have twins who are now crawling and causing mayhem!
For their safety we ordered the gates from Asda direct as they were reasonably priced and good delivery times. Was told they would arrive on a AM service on the Thursday, booked the morning off work and waited. No delivery by 1200. Called customer services at Asda, after waiting an agonising amount of time, was then told it was still in the depot, and sorry, nothing they could do, maybe it would arrive in afternoon. Having called work to book the rest of the day off (that went down well!) nothing arrived, called Asda again, and waited an eternity again to be told they would arrive Friday AM, no problem. Work said I could have morning off but unpaid, so I was annoyed come 1200 Friday, nothing. They eventually arrived 1400 Friday afternoon, i called Asda again and asked for a delivery refund, which they claim they have processed (although i'm still not in receipt of), and I had to ask for this, it was never offered. Still had no offer of apology, will not be using this service again and will now take my weekly shop away from these people and move to a supermarket who understand customer service!

Asda Stores customer services

last week, 23rd may, whilst shopping in a local asda, and my car being parked in one of the parking bays in car park, i come out of the shop to find someone had hit my car and not stopped, causing front end damage. i went back into the shop to the customer services dept asking to see the cctv and said the reason why, however, the person behind the counter handed me a piece of paper with the name and tel no of the person who did the damage as they had been and left their details behind the counter. ( which was fair enough i suppose). so i ring the person, get all their details, i then ring my insurer, asda exclusive to let them know what has happened and that the other person has admitted full liability and that i will be looking to claim for the repairs off her insurer, to be told the dept i need to speak to is busy and they will ring me back. no phone call back received, and 3 emails later( which none have been replied to), 5 phone calls, ) still not got to speak to the dept i need to speak to, and still no call back), and 6 days later, being no further forward, have had to today go through a no fault accident company( easidrive), to take over the matter and who have done more for me in an hour than my useless insurance company has done in the last week. this is the 2nd year i have been with asda exclusive, never had any sort of claim like this before in my life and have been driving since 1988, my policy will be up for renewal in feb, and i can tell you now i will not be renewing with this company even if they are cheaper than anyone else. there customer services is diabolical and they are a shambles of a company to deal with. if anyone wants my advice, stay clear of them or you'll find yourself in the situation i found if ever anyone damages your car for any reason.

Asda Stores harassment

it is bad enough that i was harassed at the staff Christmas ball, by my line managers husband.on receiving advice from the union, and other personal matters, that i resigned my position in ASDA, that i now have to face more harassment from colleges when i`m out socialising with friends and family in our local pub, dirty looks, eyes rolling, from a section leader who is a daughter of another section leader, and buddies of my ex line manager. Tuts in the street, by another off her buddies, who is also a line manager! and even being shovelled in the back by one college (that line managers sister}.
I did put in a complaint at the time off the incident at the ball. about my confidentiality being broke, but due to health reasons i didn't pursue it. and to be quite frank i know there would be nothing done, as their all buddies with the General manager anyway. i have seen and watch it with my own eyes how they cover each others backs in this store, if your not a buddy or in the store cliché `, a family member then you don`t matter! this store is unbelievable and i am more than relieved to not be a college any-more. but i would also like to be able to live my life in peace, go about my own business now without this harassment . obviously again my confidentiality has broken or my line-managers version of the incident has been discussed with these parties that they are being hostile towards me. this is ridicules and so unprofessional as the majority are in management, signing a contract with ASDA is like signing your own death warrant! do i have to be force to take out an harassment order against my ex-line manager.as the law does state it is harassment indirectly from her, by her friends and family and such an order would state, no associate, friend or family member! should...it takes 2 incidents to obtain this order as-well! which i now qualify for in speaking..been shovelled in the back Saturday night and the incident at the ball.
