I ordered a leather sofa on 7/4/2006, it was delivered on 7/22/2006. When I first sat on it, it wasn't as comfortable as I thought it would be - It certainly felt different from the display one. But more than that, I felt really uncomfortable of the leather smell. I started having headache and nausea when I sat on the sofa. I felt sick all day, and had to take anvil. I went to the store the next day and explained my situation. but the store manager seemed very upset, as if I made her upset or what, and told me they couldn't do nothing. I didn't ask for money back, I asked if I could exchange with a fabric sofa. That was all. I think I am allergic to leather or something, or I suspect that they didn't good job processing the leather or something, I don't know what's wrong. But I do know for sure that their leather makes me sick. and Yet, they are so ignorant and not willing to meet the customer's need.
Again, all i wanted was to exchange with fabric sofa. And it's a day old with tags and everything. and I can't even sit on it, so it's just brand new!
I am going to tell everyone about your service at the community site and strongly recommend not to buy from Ashley.
I have order several thousand dollars in furnishing from this location in the last 4 months. It seems as if they cannot get my address correct. This has lead to my furniture being delayed 2 to 5 days being delivered each time. When you bring this to the attention of the customers service desk in the store they give you the run around. There attitudes are really bad. When we asked to speak to the Store Mgr, they passed the phone back and forth amongst each other acting as if they were the manager. We finally got enough of being lied to and decided to come into the store. We meet with the store Mgr (CHIP) who really did not do anything but make the situation worst. The bottom line is this, delivery did not call to verify the address and customer service had keyed in the wrong address. This has happened twice within the last 4 months and "NO ONE" including the manager seems to care. Please take your business else where. This store really needs to focus more on "TRAINING and BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have filed a complaint with the BBB also. Do Not Shop at this Location...
I agree. Ashleys furniture is extremely unorganized and their customer service is horrible. It took me almost 4 months to receive my entire sectional. I received piece by piece one month at a time. Then, when piece one was delivered as damaged it took me another 8 weeks to receive the replacement. It was a complete disaster and a very big time consuming hassle to have to deal with.
To make matters worse I never got out of the store with my itemized receipt. They lost it before I left the store. They said they would mail me a copy and I had them handwrite the amount charged to my card. It took me 3-4 months and a complaint to the BBB before I received that receipt. No one could find it. Tell me how you can deliver furniture over a period of 4 months, reorder furniture because the original piece was damaged and never be able to supply a receipt. I received the same o' run around. So and so will call you back. So and so will get it to you in the mail. So and so mailed it. Well... so and so must not have worked there! Oh.. and don't ask to speak to a manager. He will not be there ..EVER. Just go straight to the BBB. That was the only way I was able to resolve my matters.
What am I doing today? Replacing the $2000 couch I bought from Ashley's less than 2 years ago. It caved in... hmm...?
Anyway... I would seriously think twice about shopping there.
I have bought from Ashleys on several occaisions simply to take advantage of cost savings and financing arrangements
I have bought furniture at 4 separate times and not once have I accepted the initial delivery becuase I found defects on the furniture
The latest order I placed with them they have attempted delivery twice
and both times the units came without factory wrap onthem and were both torn and worn
One of them was covered with either dog or cat hair...
I am now done
I purchased a bedroom set including a dresser and two night stands. When delivered one night stand was damaged (a factory oversight). Ashley's replaced the night stand. I also ordered a Mission-style wood and leather recliner and it came damaged. Ashley's repaired the first damage, but were soon asked back due to a serious finish issue. The repair required two visits by technicians and then the chair had to be replaced for me to be satisfied. I immediately noticed the second recliner had a less-firm seat cushion. I haven't decided if it's just that the manufacturer of the furniture is incompetent or if Ashley's is just requesting quick, poorly-built furniture to insure more profit. Perhaps someone who is better at business should tell Ashley's of the short- and long-term costs of poor quality; even I am aware of that...
I purchased a dining room set with 6 wood top chairs. I bought the protection plan (Valspar) through Ashley. Two years later, my 3 of my chairs started cracking at the top. I filed a complaint - the tech came out and said NO PROBLEM, we have had several of these - must be a bad batch. He reported sent in info and 2 days later I got a call my complaint had been denied. I went to Ashley who put me off for about 2 weeks, made a store visit (called for the store mgr on my cell while I was standing right there in the store) to see if they would lie to me - I talked to the store manager in person she told me I would have to deal with Valspar. Valspar won't budge - factory defect - SO THEIR PROTECTION PLAN STINKS! DON'T BUY IT - IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY. I have gone to Stacey's - they seem competent and caring.
I also have had a very poor experience at the Plano Tx Ashleys. My wife ordered a desk and chair for me in mid June 2008. We got the delivery in mid-July and we got the chair and 1/2 of the desk. The delivery guys said we'd have to go to the store to get it straightened out. The explanation was that the person who took the order had not ordered both pieces of the desk. We placed the order and were told it would be mid-August before it comes in. We called on Aug 15th and they said it was on back order and it would be late September before they could get it.
So I have the desk drawers and not desk top. I work out of the house so this is extremely upsetting. The Store Manager has the attitude that this is the norm. I wish we had read this site before purchasing.
I strongly suggest consumers do not buy Ashley furniture. The quality is very poor. I had to send back the sofa bed because it fell apart after only four weeks. I replaced the sofa bed with a leather sofa and love seat. The love seat broke after six months and they repaired it, but in less than a year later a part broke on the other side of the love seat. Now I'm waiting for Ashley to ship a new love seat because they can't repair the one I have. I brought this furniture two years ago, and this is what I've been dealing with every since. Do not buy Ashley furniture. It's not worth the headache and it's a waste of your money.
I bought a leather couch and chair and it smells TERRIBLE it makes me sick to sit in it. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE !
i bought a dinning table and from the day i recessive it started to wobbles . i ask for the ashley furniture for exchange or to repair the problem but the first tech guy said he can not fix it but they refuse to accept that and and they refuse to exchange it .this the worst customer service ever .
My furniture is cracking up and uts getting wore the more we sit on it. The leather is falling apart
Ashley Furniture promised me our sofa for tomorrow 8-9-2018 now they are saying maybe Monday. We were given the dates when we purchased all the furniture items in the store on this past Sunday.
We purchased these about 5 years ago for 900.00 and 6 moths later they started to peel.I have pictures of them that i will provide.I have to constantly sweep my floor from the furniture peeling and i have to keep sheets on the furniture to keep it from sticking to my skin.So i would like some kind of compensation for my problem
Reclining chairs, foot rest..ehere ever simeine sits tge "leather" is cracking
I have 4 Recliners material has been pealing on the top and throughout the back cover of the chair. Cant find a contact to repair my chairs. I was told I have a 5 year warranty. the company location has since relocated.

I bought a Ashley's furniture red Durablend sectional sofa. After a year and 1/2 of owning the sofa it began to peel. It also started to rip at the seams. I was lied to by the sales representative who advised me to Durablend would last me as long as real leather.
it wasn't long before the couch cushion resistance deteriorated so much so that you can't sit without the cushion flattening out completely. The couch is useless now.
I am not going to just let it go I will file a statement of claim for the entire cost of the couch and let it settle in local court.
