I am complaining about ordering process.
Hello My name is Saundra Jones and I have been a customer of Ashley Stewart for many many many years and i adore there plus size clothes and where the majority of my clothes from Ashley Stewart. I am complaining today because I placed an online order and by mistake i ordered 2 of the same orders which were clearance and i was told i am stuck with them how is that possible if my order has not been processed or shipped yet. I think Ashley Stewart needs to come up with a different policy or either a way that they can have access to the warehouse that holds all of there merchandise this is unacceptable to me and now i feel as if Ashley Stewart is stealing from me. Why cant they just take back the item and let me get something else. I think its time for me to find some place else to shop s that when i make a small error like that it can be solved correctly l

I went in your store in Lauderhill, Fl to exchange a shirt I bought for my sister as a gift. The clerk was very rude because she first told me no exchange without a receipt, after searching my purse I found my receipt but the very unprofessional rude clerk claim no exchange because all sales final on items pricing ending in 98. My purchase price for the shirt was 15.80. She continued to tell me all sales final but gave me this explanation that clearer was not the case because my price was 15.80. When I ask to speak with the manager she said she was the manager and all sales final. I was very embarrassed because of the way I was spoken to and also I left without exchanging the shirt. I am not asking for a refund I just need to exchange this shirt that I purchased and have proof of receipt. PLEASE HELP!
ashley stewart will not cancel an order
I placed an order with Ashley Stewart and selected PayPal as the payment option. This caused my Shipping information to default to the Shipping information on file with PayPal which is outdated. I contacted Ashley Stewart's Customer Service line right away and it was closed ( it was around 9:24 p.m. eastern standard time). I immediately used the email option to email their Customer Service team. They got back to me by mid morning and I explained my delimma. I expected them to give me a resolution that made sense. Instead they informed me that they do not Cancel orders... (?). What kind of company does not allow you to cancel orders? They told me that I will have to track down the order via the carrier and ask if they can re-route the order to the correct address. So instead of them cancelling the order, I have to track down the carrier and hope that they can get it to me instead of them stopping the order from the beginning. And the solution if I can't track down the carrier? Someone else ends up with my stuff and I waste my money. Utterly ridiculous and a terrible way to treat customers. No wonder everyone is utilizing Amazon. They know how to take care of their customers.
Returning items
I waited in the line in Markham, IL to return 1 item for over 20 min. There was 1 cashier and only 1 person in front of me. When it was finally my turn the cashier says she can't process my return because I didn't have my AS charge card. This would have been helpful info prior to me wasting 20 min of my life! Worst service ever! I always have some kind of problem when I shop at this store and online. But enough is enough! I will no longer be a customer at this establishment and I will be closing my charge card with them. I will not tolerate sub par treatment from AS any longer! I will also be spreading the word to others so they don't shop here either!
I was charged to my credit card $8.00 in SH fees for returning boots that were way too big even though I had ordered my correct size. No where on the return merchandise instructions did it say that I would be charge an extra fee for the returned merchandise. I inotially purchased boots for $26.59 + $8.95 SH for a total of $35.54. They refunded my charge card only $18.59 saying minus $8.00 return shipping if label is used. In other words, Ashley Stewart made a profit off me of $24.95 and still have the boots and I don't have anything. That is called fraud.
odor on clothes/returned product
I was a new ashley stewart customer and so excited about my order. When I received the products they had a very strong odor. I called and complained about this and wanted know what could be done. I was assured I could return the items and a full refund would be issued. They lied! They kept return postage when the products were defective. Washing or airing out supposed new clothes is not right and I hope this does not continue to happen to others. This over priced crap being sold is not worth it. I now know to shop with reputable companies with a decent return policy. You almost went out of business before... With these practices... You shall.
diva dollars
Ashley offers the diva dollars special where if you buy so much you get so much off. Well I tried to purchase something which was about 100+ dollars and i'm suppose to get $50 bucks off. It doesn't give you the option to finish checking out it say to review order after it checkout. That is the only option it gives you. This has happened to be in the past and I just thought it was my computer that was acting up. However I went back the next day after the diva dollars ended and the order went thou. It is doing the same thing. Well I tried calling them but low and behold you can't talk to someone until monday but by then the diva dollars will have ended and guess what I will have to pay full price for the items in my cart. It seems to me as thought they really don't want you using the diva dollars and don't want to give anything away. Not a good look ashley stewart!
declining my card online
I normally shop online with Ashley Stewart with no issues. Log in, pick the items I want, submit the payment information and get my confirmation. Well they recently on Friday 2/23/2018 had a sale extra 50% I go on I select my items and enter my payment information and it tells me my card was declined. I know there is money in my account well an authorization was still sent through to the bank. So I wait to have my money release still no money back in my account but today they are having 50% off new items so I try to make a purchase using one of my other bank cards and again my card was declined. Money is in both account more than enough to make these purchases. I call customer service and was advised that its going to hold my funds till 3-5 days she doesn't know why the card declined. I would like to say perhaps the bank but that's not the case. I don't think two different banks on separate days would decline my orders only on Ashley Stewart. I've tried from my laptop and from my phone. All my information entered is correct so I'm not sure why its not accepting my order. I'm not happy about the fact that my money is sitting in limbo. The representative lacked customer services skills. Ashley Stewart I just cant. Sales are awesome but it sucks that I cant partake in the sale because the online system is declining my order.
boots
I finally received my boots after waiting longer than the norm and to my surprise the boots were beautiful. I had a meeting to attend Saturday and I got a shirt to go with my boots as I tired to unzip the outer side it wouldn't unzip right it kept getting stuck and jam. So I got them to zip up and I unzip the side with no problem. Go to the meeting and got all kinds of compliments on my boots til one of the ladies realize that my boot was not zip. So I tired to zip it and it wouldn't zip the zipper is mess up on it. This very disturbing because I love my boots. The other boot has no defects.
Holiday return policy
I made holiday gift purchases for Christmas in November. Black Friday sales purchases that will not be opened until Christmas are not returnable. You're will not honor any returns purchased our 30 days. You promote holiday shopping for gifts that will not be open until Christmas 12/25 and they can not be returned. I will be filing a Better Business Bureau complain and will be reaching out to our locate news station on consumer reporting.
I don't think there's anything wrong with this. It just means it becomes that more important to be aware of the return policy.
worst company ever
I am pissed off. They delayed my delivery again, for the fourth time.
It's inappropriate, it's not funny. I don't know why they do it, honestly, I shouldn't care about their issues. They have to do everything to please their customers. These [censored]s didn't even apologize!

I ordered my items online and it still has not even been shipped and i was told i cannot get a refund. Why is that? if the items never left the warehouse!
the rep i spoke to last week was very rude i was told a supervisor will call me back and she was no help either. I spent money for items that are still sitting in a warehouse.
There was no issue taking my money out of my account but now that i have not received my items i can not get a straight answer all i want to know is when i will get my items and no one can answer

return fees/double charges
I purchased items online which was returned. I was charged 2x the price of the shipping fee and when asked the company, was told that I had spoke to the wrong dept and there was nothing that could be done at this point. I closed the account, paid for the item and disputed the double shipping charge. They now continue to charge me all kinds of fees which are ridiculous and I'm sure are probably not even legal.

Body shamed and harassed by employee
To whom it may concern:
I tried to reach someone at the corporate office several times this morning regarding my horrible experiences at the Greenbriar location in Atlanta GA.
Yesterday @ 4:30 est I was body shamed taunted and humiliated. Unfortunately by one of your representatives while a manager stood by and did absolutely nothing.
She yelled out loud "GIRL DO YOU KNOW I CAN SEE THROUGH YOUR LEGGINGS" I tried to smile and brush it off despite being extremely embarrassed, I was unaware that my leggings were see through . As I walked away she they yelled " I can see your left and right booty cheek... " Go over there look in the mirror girl, how you come out the house like that?
My best friend saw the look in my face and told me it wasent right and that I should stand up for my self.
Shortly there after she says to the manager "Look at her I can see ALL her booty and that Big black thong that she has sitting right on top of her but."You see it sitting right on top of her Booty.? The women looked me in the face and shook her head.
Despite how embarrassed I was I tried to ignore and continue shopping. I can hear is her whispers as she continued to tell them to look at my body. I came to purchase several outfits. I was laid off my job and started a new job today. I was super excited about finding new clothes to start this new journey. The represent made me feel so uncomfortable the only thing I purchased was a 12$ pair of stockings. I asked for her name the district managers name and contact information. She refused handing me the corp number and telling me " Just call that number"
I've battled with my weight my whole life, being called fat ugly or treated like I wasn't good enough because of my size. Yesterday really hurt me beyond measure. As I wright this the tears wont stop flowing.

Please be advised that this store is a rip off and not customer friendly. I recently made purchases there and was introduced to a bra by the sales person valuing $44.98. It was closing time and I didn't get to try on the purchases which included a dress and earrings. The next day I went to return them because they didn't fit and I don't blame them for that. However the response from the Manager Fharee who gave a big grin and told me she cannot give me my money back because they don't give exchange or money back on bras is unacceptable. Also because I purchased the other items and was given $25 off I can't get my money back. That I would need to select other items even though I advised her I didn't want to.
I will not debate on their procedures but I have a problem when none of that was communicated verbally by the sales or written in store or on the receipt.
I just went through hurricane Irma and wanted the items for a funeral and wanted to be able to shop elsewhere. However they are holding me hostage to shop with them even when they failed to convey their procedures to me prior. So I took back my items and will continue posting this on social media and local consumers affairs until I get my money back.
injured
I was shopping in their store when their clothing rack cut the top of my feet. I sent two emails, called and left a message with a customer service representative. I had to get medical attention and a tetanus shot...crickets! No response from them to even reimburse me or anything. The cut is long as my finger and deep. Was told that I'm not the first where someone's feet was cut by the store mar.
they refused to help me
I was not able to get a refund! I contacted Ashley Stewart and told them that I was not satisfied with the quality of my dress and wanted to return it for a refund but they said no. They even asked me if the dress was damaged or size was wrong. I told them that everything was fine except the fact that I did not like the dress and it did not meet my expectations, it looked different from what I saw on their website.
Their rep said that they were not able to accept it back only because of that. What a joke of a company! I paid for that dress and was not happy with my purchase and they should have helped me!
rude store manager
Do not... I repeat... Do not shop at the ashley stewart in woodlawn ohio! The store manager is racist & disrespectful! I went with my sister & toodles yesterday because I had diva dollars. No one greeted us nor did they offer their assistance. During checkout, my sister was accused of marking down a sweater that she was trying to purchase by the store manager! I asked her if there was a possibility that it was a marked down in error & she says "no someone wrote the price on the ticket!" I asked her if she was insinuating that we had done so & she says "no but I can't honor this price (Sweater was $9.98 but she says it was really $11 & change) !" so this is where I went in! I let her know that I ran that store for 3 years (Employed 10 years) & she was to honor the pricing on the ticket (And good cst serv would have never informed us that it was mismarked) ! We went back & forth, round for round (Customers are in line agreeing with me by the way) , finally I asked for her dm's name & phone #. She jotted a number down, I look at it & say you must think i'm a damn fool! This is corporate's phone #! She forgot I used to work there I guess. She refused to give me her dm's name & phone # so we put our things back & I told her I would find out who her dm was! I made a few phone calls & obtained her dm's personal cell. She was surprised that I had her number & long story short (Lol) she tried to recruit me but I declined. I told her that I would never step foot in there as long as she's store manager.
Returning jeans to have the detector removed
I purchase black pair of jeans from Ashley Stewart store located on 125 street, NYC, NY . To my surprise the next day attempted to wear the jean and I couldn't due to the metal detector was on the leg of the jeans. The next Tuesday I went to have to detector removed . Upon entering the store the pants ring . I enter the store the sales every sales lady asked me the same question do I have my receipt this was 10:00 am in the morning. Not one sales women recognize me but every last one was present the day I purchase he jeans. The older black women with reddish color hair and glasses was instructed to assist me. She pretended she didn't hear her manager, Then she was instructed again she yell at me as to why I took the tags off. I inform the women by yelling back " because I was planning on wearing the jeans". She got mad and went back to what she was doing at the counter. The Manager observed her actions and said nothing, but she would assist me . She proceeded I gave her my receipt and I had a return of tights. The older sales women rolled her eyes and had her lips poked out at me . I informed her and the manager I would never step foot in Ashley Stewart store again I could spend my hard earn money in store that appreciates my business. The manager appeared apologia but the older sales lady who was the oldest on the store perform rudely and very unprofessionally. My recommendation she receives on going training as to courtesy to customer. I promise I will go to lane Bryant who next door from this day forth.

So I just left MY local Ashley Stewart store with a return. Walked into the store, As I got in line there was about two other guest in front of me . I waited about 5 min. As I was approaching the counter the young ladies looked at me then looked at each other rolling their eyes. I got to the counter and before I could set my return down the lady named Deborah didn't ask me any thing she went straight to reciting the "return policy" . After saying what the return policy was she said "it tells you that" "we can't do nothing with no shoes because we don't sale shoes" I felt pushed and mistreated by her because I am a customer who spent over a hundred and 80 dollars on clothes and shoes on this order not to mention an additional 20 dollars in shipping charges, and only one thing didn't fit and that was a lousy heel that only cost $19.52. I would have settled for a store credit or anything, it didn't matter I didn't want a hassle with returning online. the shoes where perfectly packaged like they came and brand new she didn't take the time to even see what I had or to even show me that she cares about me being a customer. gladiator sandals
I ordered a pair of gladiator sandals, and was very unhappy with my order. Because I'm only 170lbs and have thick legs and calfs. I decided to order some gladiator sandals that were "wide width calf" according to the description. The size was ok but the width on the calf was definitely not wide width, because there were so narrow. My younger sister that's only 17 years old tried and is slimmer than me tried them on and didn't fit her as well because the "width calf" was a false statement. The second part why I'm so unhappy with my purchase is the costumer service . When I received my sandals on the invoice paper, was a statement written "if you're not happy with your order, you can take it to any Ashley Stewart to exchange or to get a refund " the closes Ashley Stewart store by my house was 49 minutes away. Before heading to the store I actually called to see if I could indeed return the item there. After calling more than three times with no response I decided to actually just show up in the store. Once I arrived I was told I couldn't return it there because they didn't carry the item and also because it was an "online exclusive item" I was upset because the employees didn't seem to care, and just said "well sorry" I told them that it was not acceptable for them to ignore their phones, since I drove all the way over there. Just to waste time and gas money. Third bad point. Now since I'm stuck with a pair of shoes that don't fit, I paid $15 for them to ship them back to the company. So I could get some of my money. Since i spent $10 in gas driving to the store, then spend $15 to send the Damm shoes back! I can at least get half my money back ! Now Ashley Stewart let me give you a tip. Do not advertise "wide width sandals" when is clear that the sandals won't even fit a skinny 17 year old girl. Second don't write on your invoice papers "if you're not happy with your purchase. You may take it to any Ashley to get a refund" because that's clearly not true! And if it is make sure to include it in your statement so people like us don't waste our time going to one of your stores looking like a complete idiot! Teach your employees costumer service and make sure they answer the phone! Since us costumers may happen to call. Never will I buy from your company! Worst experience ever, can't wait to get my refund so can cancel my credit card!

Ashley needs to come up with a better shipping policy. I accidentally sent my items to to the wrong address. Called back and they said they couldn't change mailing address. Called them back a young lady said yes you can. Went through he'll trying to return to correct address. Also had to pay for the change. People just don't know their job. All different answers each time you call. Who's right? Customers suppose to come first!
