I purchased my car January 2020 and i was told i will receive my spare key in 21 days and until today I haven't received my spare key, change of registration not done, I was told they are going to book for testing until nothing and no one is saying anything, everytime i call or go to the branch i get run around. The customer service is very poor.
Spare key
I bought a vehicle on 30 June 2020.was promised a spare key in 3 days as they claim its with the head office. Even today 11 Aug 2020 I'm still waiting. They claim they will personally deliver but still waiting. I'm never going to do any business with them. They should take away their traiding license.
Do not purchase your car at auto pedigree
I am a young teacher, fresh out of university. After saving all my hard-earned money to buy my first car, I made the biggest mistake of going to auto pedigree, strand for my purchase.
I was met with a car dealer who had no other motif but to make a buck out of me. He demonstrated zero transparency with me regarding the terms of my car loan, the "deal assistance" of r10000 that auto pedigree was apparently going to offer me, he lied about the mileage on the car, he told me there was a tracker installed, and he promised a full valet with a full tank of petrol on delivery. On the day of signing, he and his managers promised my registration plates and spare key would be delivered to my door within 21 working days. That was september.
My spare key has not yet arrived. It has been almost a year since purchasing my car and there have been multiple follow-ups on this.
I am sick of the ridiculously abysmal service (or lack thereof) that I have received from auto pedigree.
Do not consider them when purchasing a car.
I just lodged a complaint at Autopedigree today, I want to see their response then I will comment after they have treated my complaint.
I think I'm also a victim of the same story of a spare key. Auto pedigree is so pathetic when coming to customer service. I thi k the motor industry ombudsman need to intervene
Vehicle registration papers
I'm Michael Mokoena I bought 2017 Audi A4 at auto pedigree bloemfontein and I have been struggling to get my papers for the car for more than a month now and i must use the car for work where by papers must be submited for fuel and all those things, so up to this far I am using my own money for petrol because I don't have any car on the system. Im quite disgusted with Auto Perigree that sold us the car last year March and since day one we had problems. Firstly the 30000 klm service was only done after i spoke to Rogan the sales man and only went for the service over 30000 klm and i kept on complaining about the noise comming from the front and the car went to a testing station and nothing could be found wrong with the car and the car then went to Tommy Martin and they found the left front schock was a problem and i spoke to Rogan and he then took the car to Tomky Martin East Rand and the left schock was replaced. From there onwards the car still making noises foming through the steering wheel but no one could find a problem and also Tommy Martin Eagle Canyon could find a problem and i booked the car Tommy Martin West Rand and they found that the steering colom was faulty and was replaced under factory warranty but three weeks later ive notice that the sound was still coming from the steering wheel and booked at Westrand again and after testing the car on a gravel road the found that the steering rack needs replacement and will be done through the warranty but the schock must be replaced by us but it should have have been replaced when they replaced the left front schock but my complaining fell on deaf ears. In the second week since we bought this car we had to replace the brake pards and the tyres as they were warn. The front brake calipers was also replaces three times in a row and also the clutch slave cylinder so my question is, how did this car pass a road worty check with so many problems. This car was an avis rental car and people drive on bad roads or through ditches and then unsuspecting buyers like us buynthis crap cars with low kilometers. I also battle with front wheel aglignment and hope it will be sorted when the steering rack replacement. The radio is bluetooth and the only thing is that it can only connect to my phone, the call function works but one can not answer a call and Rogan told me its fulle operatable but its not.the car also had a colour difference on the left back door end the back wheel arcb and it was fixed by your panel beaters so poorly that one can see were the blender it in and bufded it so mush that the paint is very thin. This is a 3 year old car with so mush problems but no one seems to care.
Salesman scamming potential clients
Around the month of june 2018, I found a autopedigree flyer which sparked my interest. My credit record was bad but I had been working on it, so I decided to give it a try and call the salesman on the brochure. The salesman sunny phiri. I contacted him and told him about my situation and that I want to purchase a car. He then told me to contact his brother (omphile maboke phiri) who runs an itc company called fyitc. They both asured me they could help me better my credit record to get the vehicle. I worked with the brother and paid almost r15 000 for the services. I then went to the autopedigree at southgate to meet with sunny phiri to purchase a vehicle only to learn he had moved to a branch in the eastrand as manager. The sales person who was helping me at the time told me that this is not the first time sunny phiri had reffered potential clients to he and his brothers side business. My credit has not improved and whats worse they have both gone into hiding. This tells me that they scamming potential clients using autopedigree as the base of their operations. I still want to purchase a car soon and my credit has improved significantly but the thought of reverting back to autopedigree scares me as this sales person has tarnished your reputable name. Please help me find and track down your salesperson and his brother. I need to know how someone employed by a comapny as big as this can get away with doing such fraudalent activities without any consequences

Was sold a bad car
I regret the day I went to auto pedigree but I I am taking legal action, I Trade in my car application approved on the car I personally fell inlove with at the branch suddenly when I have to get that car was told a mistake was made regarding a year model and said they will find me another car only if I knew what I was inviting stress .the same day I got my car I informed The sales person about the problems i noticed imagine not even a day passed but already the car had some problems 3 doors had some disturbing moving objects loose screws, steering wheel when on full swing also had some disturbing noise, gear seemed hard when it has to move forward was forced to push it a little bit harder there was also some disturbing noise coming from both right tyres...the car was booked for inspection it came back like it even when to the penal beaters still they could not fix it when I reported the matter to the manager he promised to assist me but now he's ignoring my e-mails and phone calls
Complaining about renault sandero stepway 2013 and customers services
Hi I have a bought a Renault Sandero Stepway 2013 model from Auto Pedigree in Bellville... Since I got the car the car is giving me problems... The manager wnd sales person said they will sort out the problem... After numerous weeks of complaining I eventually went in to go see them and they said they will sort the problem... They send it away after a month and when it came back... It still had the problems on the car... I told them I'm not happy and would like to cancell my deal... As I don't have the car even 3 months yet they said they can't cancell... I told them then I want it swop for a different car or something else in the same financial range they refuse and say they can't... Bought a car at auto pedigree(strand) branch manager Kauthar Kalam send the car away for a valet to be done on the interior and roof the car came back no valet done but damage to the roof lining branch manager said she will replace the roof lining and have the car Properly valet yet again car came back valet was not properly done and still a damaged roof lining after a heated conversation she refered to having the car valet was doing us a favour I then phone the regional Manager Johan Kitching o-boy talk about customer service in his own words his not going to entertain this and still waiting for his phone call must say worst customer experience ever i would prefer not to deal with store nor regional manager they have no customer service still I have a damage roof lining

Disappointing after service _ auto pedigree george
I bought a Polo Vivo 2017 from Auto Pedigree George on 18 July 2018. With inspection (when the vehicle was delivered to me) we noticed that the back (L) windows' smash-and-grab is coming loose. As well as blue paint (running) inside the frame at the drivers' door (on the body).
After many many empty promises (excuses like they have to open an account), we arranged a date last week Tuesday (23 October 2018) so they could fix the issues.
After an hour Mark Schoeman (the salesman) brought my vehicle back, claiming my car has to go to Port Elizabeth to fix the mess up they made. The blue paint apparently is what they use for data-dot (irremovable paint), so they have to repaint the body.
I told Mark that I'm not happy to let someone drive my vehicle (because of my insurance and tracker). It will also add unnecessary kilos to my car for something that is not my fault. I asked him to let the manager, Mr. Lloyd Pietersen call me to make alternative arrangements. Mark said he had asked Mr. Lloyd a few times to call me back. On Wednesday 24/10/2018 I sent Mr. Lloyd and the Regional Manager, Mr Bessenger an email. They have received it, but no one made an effort to respond.
Maybe I should have expected this kind after-service I received, because I wasn't prepared to add all the extra policies etc. to the initial vehicle purchase, which they wanted to force me to do. Eventually I asked Mr. Lloyd whether he wants to sell me a vehicle or policies (which I already had cover for, confirmed by my broker). Then Mr. Lloyd said he will have to find out from Head Office if they are still prepared to do the transaction.
I'm very disappointed.
Bad service
I bought a car from Auto Pedigree Kempton Park on the 29 /08/2018 since then i have been waiting for my spare key and vehicle registration numbers for almost 20 day each and every time when I ask the sales rep about this issue he keeps on telling me that I should give him two days, the first permit they issued even got expired and they had to re issue another permit.
Bad customer service
I bought a car from the branch manager Pleasure @ Auto Pedigree in Germiston, he gave me one key and two weeks later I'm still requesting my other set of keys and car documents. I made it clear that the car was for business purposes and could not start working till all the paper work and my keys where in order and he kept making empty promises, so I decided to go get them myself and he still did not have them and now he is ignoring my calls, how unprofessional! I have contacted the head office several times to no avail. As I wait...

I bought a car last year from Florida Glen to my surprise I find out that the car has been register as a car that will be transporting passengers, this was something that I was told nothing about now I called the dealership where I bought it and the manager was so rude to me she didn't want to listen to me and just told me to FIX IT, even though it was registered by them now it's my problem to FIX I am very disappointed by Auto Pedigree if this is how you treat your customers once the sale is closed and our money is deposited into your account I wouldn't recommend anyone to even visit your branches.Now I have to FIX a mess that YOU created ...I asked her "So there's no1 that can help me and she said NOPE...wow to a customer that's a response you give if the manager can be so disrespectful with no care for us then I fear for your brand.
Damaged vehicle as if it was in an accident / licencing and registration of vehicle not done almost 2 months after purchasing
I bought my vehicle from Dennis at Auto Pedigree Brackenfell. Within the first five days noticed that the boot door was dented, cracked and rusted. Dennis then arranged that the vehicle be returned and serviced at their centre. Now the front passenger door is starting to make weird noises as if this door had been replaced as well and is not a very good fit on the car...
It is now almost two months since the vehicle was sold to me and the licence and registration is yet to be done by Dennis. He promised to have this done in the first month of purchasing the vehicle.
I was promised that I was buying an accident free vehicle. This does not seem like the case at all.

Issues: There is a sound that it makes when you reduce speed or you stop as if the brakes are worn out.
It makes noise when you drive as if something is broken or loose inside.
We also picked up that it has been re-sprayed which can mean it was involved in an accident.

Jonathan and Laura from Auto Pedigree in Kokstad, have made many promises which they haven't fulfilled.
We have been waiting for a spare key for this car for almost a year now.
Three weeks ago I sent through a quotation on their request. We hadn't heard from them since. So this morning I decided to call and ask for the sales person (Jonathan). The phone was answered by Laura who was very rude; hung up the phone as soon as I gave her my surname. So I called back and she told me she was in a meeting.
So in essence, now that they've sold us the car, they don't car about taking care of all the other bits and pieces that they didn't take care of before they sold us the car.
Terrible repair service - service centre

I bought my Chevy Spark July 2017. My car was at the repair / service centre of Auto Pedigree for more than a month. I got my car for the first time late August 2018. It was not in my possession for more than 2 weeks and it began cutting out and clearly the brakes were never changed. Auto Pedigree arranged for my vehicle to go back to the repair centre. I got my car back and the had no explanation or bothered to give one as to what was wrong. January 2018 my car started making noises, I took it into a car repair shop in Pretoria to find out what the problem was and I was told BOTH front wheel bearing needed to be changed and a qualified mechanic told me it should have definitely been picked up when the repair centre completed their 116 point check. When changing my wheel bearings it was noted my one wheel nut on each front wheel side was stripped. The Auto Pedigree branch I bought my car from was more than happy to assist by paying for the repairs of the wheel bearings. About two weeks later my car started making noises again and it turned out to be the mountings on both front wheel sides of my car which also should have been picked up when the car was inspected and had the 116 point check. I asked the mechanic why my water tenk had ORANGE water coming out of it and he said it seems like rust, they had to clean the whole water tenk system and add anti freeze, which was never done by the repair centre and my water tenk cap had to be replaced as well. I was told it was so old they can't understand why the repair centre never changed it. Auto Pedigree has assisted in every way possible, they paid for all the repairs which until date amounts to about R10 000. I have experienced amazing assistance with Irma, Dirk and Ronelle, I don't know what I would have done if they did not assist and until this day they go out of their why to assist. SO WHY IS THE REPAIR CENTRE SERVICE SO BAD? Auto Predigree went out of their way to give me a car to use each time but until date the REPAIR CENTRE HAS NOT TAKEN ANY RESPONSIBILITY OR ASSISTED IN ANY WAY. The repair centre is so reluctant to do so or to provide proper service. I highly question their quality of work and service. I have constantly been having problems with my car, hearing loose bolts when I drive. My car having squeak noises, my steering wheel rattling when I drive more than 100 km. Noises when I brake. How is it possible for my car to undergo a 116 point check and have all these problems, problems which should have been picked up and fixed when it was at the repair centre. I did not buy a car at the street corner. I bought a car with finance and I expect service I can count on. How can I repair centre provide such poor service? The repair centre is very reluctant to assist in providing paper work, feedback or any information. We have to basically beg them to answer us each time. I now want my car to be rechecked, top to bottom, everything that can be checked, to be checked and to then to be fixed and I request this to be done on a very high trustworthy quality standard. If it was done in the first place I would never have had all of these problems.
I would like the head of the repair centre to call me and provide me with a proper plan of action by end of Friday, 8 March 2018.
I am no stranger to the legal field and I have already asked legal colleagues for advice on this matter and if necessary I will take this further.

Auto pedigree paarl
I bought my car June 2017. The license expired July 2017. They told me the car was serviced. I went to Volkswagen and they said the car is behind on its service. The sales people were not very helpful and forthcoming. Empty promises were made. I haven't been able to use my car since the end of July. There was still GP number plates and the license was behind. I took my car in to them on the 7th of October and I have not received it back. At this stage I do not want my car back. Or I want to be refunded for the months I paid for a car, but could not use it! I haven't used the car for 2 months.
