On August 25th I stopped in at your location on Flat Shoals Pkwy, Decatur, Ga [protected] Flat Shoal) and purchased a battery charger to charge my mower. However, when i arrived home my brother had purchased a new battery so I didn't need the charger. So, instead of driving back to the location i said i would wait until the weekend to return it. Well, Friday evening i had to drop my son off at the YMCA and I had the charger in the car so I said let me return it now, but there was a long line and I wasn't in a hurry so I said I would return it at the other location which is closer to the house and I new I would be making some errands on saturday morning. I went by the location on W. Panola Rd, Ellenwood, Ga (4460 W. Panola Rd) and the store had a few customers at the time, so when it was my time to the register the young man Lenard ask was i returning or exchanging and I said returning. He asked what was wrong with the charger and I stated nothing. I told him that I didn't need it and would like to return it. He stated that he didn't have cash and that it was from the other Autozone, so he step in the back to talk with the manager who was on the phone. He returned and said I don't thin we will be able to take this for I don't have cash. I explained that I used my debit card and he could charge it back to my card so he stepped back in the back and came back and said we can't exchange it.
rude customer service
hello my name is shelby and i work for Ed Martin in Anderson Indiana. Your Pendleton location had ordered a part from us. Well the parts truck from the warehouse broke down the day the part was supposed to be delivered to our store. So the employee from the Pendleton location got upset and wanted us to return the money back to the card he used from the store. When the parts counter guy went to return the money to the card he accidentally charged the card again. The next day i caught the mistake and called and talked with the parts counter guy and he said yeah he didn't realize he charged the card again because the whole time he was on the phone with Ron he was very rude and not being professional at all. So i cut a check back to the store to get the problem solved. Well on Friday August 17th my parts manager came to my office and asked me if i had got the issued solved and i told him yes that i cut a check on the 15th back to you guys. I got a phone call from Ron and I tried to explain to him what had happened and he became very rude to me and I told him at one point i do not do business like this. Im only trying to help him and I don't appreciate him being so rude to me. he stated well i will be as rude as I want this is ridiculous and you guys don't know how to run a business out there. I told him I was sorry about what had happened and i would get the problem handled. He continued to be very rude and hateful the whole time i was on the phone with him. I do accounting for 3 different stores and every time i have spoke with a vendor about a problem they are always as nice as can be and always understand that accidents happen. All 3 of my stores hardly ever deal with Autozone and after dealing with this issue the last couple weeks I'm going to make sure we do not do business with any Autozone stores again. We deal with O'reillys every day and never have had this horrible of customer service. I would really like a reply back to this email. thank you
Shelby
I had a bad experience this morning with Leonard at the Autozone on W. Panola Rd (4460) He would accept my return when it was never used and the manager never came to help. Leonard kept saying I have no cash when the receipt showed that I purchased the battery charger with my debit card. He really didn't care if I got my money or not. He stated what he couldn't do instead of saying how he could help. :(
Refusal of Customer Assistance and Unprofessional Conduct by Employee
On 8/22/18 at around 6pm or so my son went to Auto Zone store # 3069 because he was having battery trouble. He asked an employee if he could help swap the old battery for the new one he purchased at Auto Zone. He was told, "No, buy a toolbox and do it yourself."
If he was not going to assist, the rudeness was not necessary. We have always received assistance with this request at other locations in the past. This is not an example of good customer service. I will make sure to tell my friends and family what happened and advise them to take business elsewhere.
I spoke with a friend as well whose father worked at Auto Zone. He said that employees are to assist in such a situation.
Also when my younger son got his vehicle it needed new windshield wipers. Auto Zone's employee came out to the parking lot and installed them for him.
A copy of the receipt is attached to this complaint.
business to business transaction
Hello, my name is Nathan Garrett and I am the parts manager for Ed Martin CDJR in Anderson, In. Your Pendleton Indiana store had ordered a part from us that was delayed a day longer than expected because of our deliver truck from our warehouse breaking down. My parts counter person was dealing with it and agreed to refund the money as it had taken longer than expected. When the credit was ran it was ran as a charge and not a credit by accident. The office caught it right away and issued a check refund. Friday [protected] I received a call from Ron at your Pendleton Indiana store wanting to know what the status was of the refund, this was the first I had heard of the situation because I had been off sick for a few days the week before. I asked Ron if he had any info I could start with to try and help him out as I like to take care of anyone who purchases parts from us. Before he could even give me any info that I needed to look into it he became very rude...he said "I don't know what kind of business you think are running there" which I answered with a very good one I believe, he said "I beg to differ" and I told him that was his choice, he then asked to speak to my manager which I transferred him to with no hesitation. My boss, the dealership general manager didn't not appreciate his interaction either, but asked me to look further into it and try and get it handle, which I did with no issue. I talked to our office and they told me they had already cut a check for it. I called Ron back to explain that to him and he was once again rude and said they wouldn't except that and it had to be ran back on the credit card. I explained to him that I had nothing to do with that part and he would have to speak to our office as he still continued to be rude. I was finally able to give him the number to the office so he could try and get the info from them. I heard back from the office person he had talked to about 10 minutes later and she was explaining to me how completely rude he was to her also. She said at one point she told him "sir there is no need to be rude I am trying to help you" he replied "I will be rude if I want." We run a very professional business and try and be kind to any of our customers. We did make a mistake that we were more than willing to correct, but met with that kind of uncalled for attitude is not acceptable. We own 9 dealerships around Indiana so you can imagine the purchasing power we have when it comes to buying aftermarket parts. My store alone buys from our local O'reillys and we are their number one account. Because of the dealings I had with Ron I will never be purchasing any parts from an Autozone for our shop and I would imagine when I explain the transaction to my other coworkers I would doubt they will be buying either. I also live and grew up in the town that store is in and I will never be buying parts there again for any personal projects and make sure that anyone in town knows that I don't recommend going there to purchase anything. Mistakes happen and they can and should be handled professionally, but that interaction with one person that was representing your franchise has possibly cost you money in the long run. I would like a reply as to why you have an employee that does not have your best interest at heart.
Thank you
Nathan Garrett

store safety
On 08/18/18 at the Anderson Rd location in Greenville SC me and my nephew entered the store and purchased some items. My nephew was outside of the store attempting to install a part on his car. When a vagrant approached and started begging for money. When I told him we didn't have any he still persisted to help. He entered the store and went behind the counter and retrieved a screwdriver for my nephew. When we told him again we didn't want his help and didn't have any money for him he became agitated and pulled out a knife and threatened me and my nephew. When I attempted to go inside the store and inform them of the situation. Cameron stated that the vagrant didn't work there and he refused to address the issue. Told me to call 911 as if the problem was mine and not Autozone's problem. Even though we were on Autozone property. I told Cameron that I seen the vagrant go behind the counter and Cameron became agitated. I then retrieved his name so I could report the incident to corporate.
rude manager
just had a horrible experience at this store tonight. The manager on duty was extremely rude. I called ahead to ask about the check engine light on my car and asked if i could come down to get them to plug into my car's computer to get me a diagnostic code, the guy on the phone was pleasant and said yes we're here till 10pm. I go there and wait on line for 10min and end up with the manager. I tell him why I'm there and he gets annoyed that I was told I could come down. He then tells me I have to wait until he helps his customers(referring to the people after me) am I not a customer? I'm shocked at this but say ok sure. I then wait as people come and go and once the store is empty I go back up to his counter and he walks away! the other employee there asks if he can help me. he rings up my purchase and I tell him why I'm waiting. he then asks the manager about plugging into my car. the manager replies with an irritated sigh and told his eyes. he grabs the hand held unit and rudely says let's go. I walk outside with him and he gets in my car and proceeds to check his text messages on his cell phone before plugging into my car. once plugged in it only takes under a minute for the reading. he yells out a diagnostic code as he walks away and heads back into the store. I cannot believe this person is a manager. I will never step foot in there again. Autozone has lost my business and I've been going there for years. So disgusted with this behavior.
battery warranty
Night salesman is refusing to prorate a 5 year truck battery that is dead at 3 years because the information was never entered into Autozone computer system by YOUR EMPLOYEE. We were forced to purchase another at full price. We have pictures of the returned battery and want to speak to a district or higher representative about Luis and the policies and customer relations at store #1383 in Universal City, Texas. Please call me, Stacy Dement, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE at [protected]. I will be contacting the regional office again tomorrow, & will not stop until this matter is resolved.
awful service
Awful experience!
I visited the store at this address to buy a quart of oil at about 11.45am on 8/15/18:
16700 sw 88th st
Miami, fl
33196
As soon as I entered the store and proceeded to the isle that has the engine oil, the clerk behind the counter asked me to leave my drawstring bag at the counter.
I use this bag to keep my wallet, car keys, cell phone and told him that I would not be leaving my bag at the counter and promptly walked out.
I went over to the walmart just down the road and bought the same oil without anyone asking me to leave my bag at the door!
I have bought numerous products from this store before and have always taken my bag inside the store without anyone asking me to leave it at the counter.
As a result of this incident I am not going to be spending my hard earned money at autozone anymore. I can buy the same products from other competitors without being treated like a thief!
battery installation
I purchased a battery for my 2007 Toyota rav 4 at your location on craig and Scott Robinson location in North Las vegas. The manager there installed my new battery but the terminals were on the wrong side so he touched negative with positive and it sparked as well as my alarm went off very loudly. He than got the right battery installed it and noticed my fuses blew when he touched the opposite terminals. My car now won't start AT ALL my lights don't work my radio doesn't work and your staff proceeded to look up you tube videos to figure out how to get my terminal box off. Long story short I sat at your store for 5 hrs with 3 children and I ended up having to get a taxi home because it was 730 at night and my car still isn't fixed. It is very likely your manager caused an electrical issue or a computer issue. I left my phone number and name with the manager and they stated they were going to call me with an update. I have no idea how I am getting to work tomorrow or getting my child to her first day of school. This is absolutely unacceptable. I need a professional mechanic to look at my car and I need my car back ASAP because as I previously stated I work and I'm a mom of three. My phone number is [protected]

was sold wrong spark plugs and told wrong gap
On June 24, 2018 I purchased new spark plugs from the Fondren and Bissonet location in Houston, TX. The employee who sold me the wrong spark plugs was the store manager Freddie who also told me to gap them at .045 instead of ., 035. Which resulted in causing the motor to run hotter and caused hundreds of dollars in damage. I have contacted the store manager, district manager as well as the corporate offices on this matter. I have been treated very rudely, unprofessional and like a criminal. I was informed that because I lost my receipt they refuse to take responsibility or rectify this situation. I have been a very loyal customer for years. As of now I will no longer be conducting business with AutoZone and will be putting the word out and warning others about how Autozone handles situations like this.
customer service
I my name marquetta murray I was in auto zone today about 11:30 when sevice person was rude direpectful due to my color so I ask for manager he stated there not one hear I then told him that I will wait until one return so I stood in corner then management came I told him first I ask for manager he stated there was not one then told him what happened he employee was rude didn't answer no questions started talking in Spanish then when ask for manager he went to sevice desk started laughing at me standing there then I told management just because I don't speack Spanish he then stated get out his store I then told him o my God have a blessed day
rude service
Nicole K at AutoZone on Winchester in Hickory Hill was very rude. She was snappy and didn't care to help me. She said my fuse might be out but they'd have to ask the store manager before doing anything. She continued to stand there with a stupid look on her face and never got the manager for me. She should be fired. Her "help" isn't needed. I've been going to this store for years and have NEVER received this type of treatment.
incompetent store manager refusing to do his job and pretending that parts don't fit correctly until
I sent my little brother to get a battery terminal bolt put on his battery. The manager (Anthony Fernandez) then proceeded to tell him that they couldn't do that and lied on the phone telling me he said he needed to replace a whole terminal which was not said it was simply a bolt that he asked for. At which point in time I had to call and say get up and do your job after he lied to me on the phone. He then proceeed to say oh no problem. He picked up 2 bolts and told my brother he tried them both and they don't fit. At this point on my day off I had to drive to autozone to speak to this incompetent store manager and tell him to give me the bolt and electrolysis grease which he also forgot and any mechanic or parts person should know is need especially a store manager. I was very easily and quickly able to put the grease and bolt on and have my little brothers car on the road within 5 minutes. Extremely disappointed in autozone for hiring such an incompetent manager that he couldn't put a bolt on a battery and I had to drive there with my own tools to do it on my day off along with asking for a second time for the electrolysis grease in which he kept forgetting because he couldn't comprehend it was needed. I am not a mechanic I work for the state of New Jersey a simple bolt is more than easy to put on and once again I'm extremely disappointed he refused to do his job and pretended that the parts didn't fit so he wouldn't have to do his job and I had to come there on my day off. I've never had a expierence this terrible at a store where not only did the "manager" not wants to help his customers but was also incompetent and a liar. I hope this doesn't represent autozone as a whole and I would appreciate a response. My next course of action is writing quite a few reviews at I'm an avid reviewist and contact the BBB to write my opinions as well as many other channels in today's cyber world it's very easy to make a company look bad but as I stated before I hope this doesn't represent autozone stores as a whole and he is reprimanded. A job that's less than 5 minutes I had to get up and drive to the store to do it myself because of simple lazy incompetence, that's incredibly ridiculous.
the solid grey hair older gentleman
So I go in to purchase a battery and wait in line a woman is struggling to find the parts for the gentlemen in front of me and the other worker is helping multiple people doing a good job. Meanwhile the man in question is sitting on a stool as if he is sticking parts but doing no such thing. I waited a while and he never asked if I needed help as clearly I did. Instead he makes remarks to the other workers to hurry up as he does nothing. I finally asked. Him if he. Can help or is he just gonna sit there? He stood up and rudely asked what I needed as he was upset I asked him to help. I told him I was sorry for interrupting him doing nothing a d that I could just go spend my money somewhere else... No wonder you have a help wanted sign... Who wants to work with a guy like that. I took my 300 dollars to advanced auto parts
a/c auto recharge
I bought the Sub-zero A/C recharge I followed the instructions didn't worked it leaks I put the whole bottle. I went to auto zone and one of the worker said I can't get my refund because I used the whole can well I used the whole trying to make it work but nothing then he told me to talk to the manager which he ingnore me 5800 Atlantic Ave Long Beach CA 90805 very rude, I want my money back I bought a product don't work AutoZonemust to return the money to customer not satisfied with thet purchase
sold wrong part
I bought a rack and pinion and they sold me the wrong one my tires wore out and new tie rods and rack and pinion and tires needed to be replaced. And when I went into the store to buy new tie rods, theu game me tie rods that were too big because the rack and pinion on my car sold from AutoZone was the wrong one. They told me it was universal for my vehicle even though I have the EXT trailblazer. Then they told me in the store that he wasnt the one who sold it to me so he didn't know what was wrong. He didn't know why the tie rods I bought today were too big to screw onto the rack and pinion sold to me by them 3 years ago. I got new tires put on and they wore out fast now I know why. They finally admitted it was the wrong rack and pinion. So what can I do I have to pay $350.00 for the right one because I have a warranty on the other one. I'm so broke and frustrated. What can I do.
manager at the harahan location. don’t know the name because they wouldn’t give it to me over the phone.
Called to find out if Auto zone sells the different color Harder for bondo. I Was put on hold by a female employee for 17-1/2 min before I finally hung up. Then when I called back about 9 time before someone would answer. I was told by a male employee that they don't cary it.. I asked to speak to a manager to let them know what was going on. And obviously the female that put me on hold must be that manager cause I could hear in the back Ground " that costumer wants to talk to you" and all I heard was F*** HIM! And was put back on hold. As I contiplated driving over there and doing something stupid. Instead i decided to do this Witch I'm sure will result in noting at all! I would like to that AUTO ZONE for making me never want to do business with there company again based off the experience I've had today 7/27/18 @ 11:15am as I'm still on hold as I type this message!
refuse to provide warranty information on parts I have purchased.
I have been a loyal customer for years I own a small shop in Hillview ky 40229 I allways purchase parts at autozone .so if I have a returning customer with a failed part . I need to be able to check warranty as quick as possible. so yesterday I called my local store and asked about the warranty on part I purchased .I was told they couldn't give me that information on phone. I asked since when because it helps to know if my part is covered so I know take the part with me or be prepared to buy another one .manager scott said it was a new policy .store mayflower rd in Louisville ky [protected] . so I called two different stores in area there was no problem they both were happy to help and looked information . so if this was corperate policy all store would say same thing . so it seems this store makes their own policy as they want . it cost me valuable time to drive there just to find out if part is still under warranty, I told manager this he said he had no control over this matter. I replied I would not be doing business there in future . well he could care less . so now I set up my company account with oreillys . since danny left store just keeps going down in every aspect of operation . very disappointed .[protected] DAVID.
delivery driver/store manager's disrespect towards other businesses
Steven Lozipone, a delivery driver from autozone, has been parking in my storefront's lot to drop off parts to a neighboring business. Each time he does this, he parks sideways in front of the vehicles of my company's workers and clients, preventing them from leaving on several occasions. The other day he did it once again, so I blocked him in with the shop's delivery van. Upon returning to the autozone delivery truck, he immediately began throwing a fit. I tried to explain that it's our lot and his disrespect towards our business and clients needs to stop. That's when he started the name calling. I'm not even going to type what he was saying, but it was quite severe. I just returned inside my building to let him figure out how to get out of his illegal parking job.
Hours later I had put the incident out of my mind figuring he had learned his lesson and wouldn't park in our lot again. But, he wasn't finished, I saw him leaving my lot again, and (now maybe this is unrelated, but I highly doubt it) the check engine light is now on in the van that I blocked him in with. So, I think he tampered with our company vehicle. My mechanic is looking into the problem today, but I haven't heard anything as of yet.
Then, he gets on Facebook and starts blasting my company, saying a bunch of crap to make him seem innocent. I'm beyond angered at this man. If he wouldn't have started with us on the internet, I wouldn't have known who he was or which autozone he worked at. But now, I want whatever he did to our vehicle fixed, and I want him removed from his job. Who acts like that to begin with, and secondly, who does it while repressing a corporation such as autozone?
